Pete's Meats SFV made a pop-up appearance at a local brewery this past Saturday. The owner of the business was friendly and cheerful. He was proudly serving his meat specialty and was very excited to be there. At the time, he said he was only serving beef brisket and pulled pork? Anyways, I went with brisket since I originally wanted tri-trip. I chose the sandwich rather than the bowl. Sandwich does come alone so FYI, however, the sandwich was layered thick with lots of brisket meat. Juicy, tender, seasoned well and meat would easily fall apart with each bite. Overall the sandwich was very satisfying and did not leave me feeling heavy afterwards nor drowsy. I highly recommend for your next meat craving follow them on their social so as to know where they will pop up next.

We tried Pete's Meats at his popup at Naughty Pine in Westlake Village recently. Great guy, doing amazing BBQ! Brisket falls apart and melts in your mouth! Delicious. Great coleslaw with a Japanese twist. Highly recommend!

Caught Pete's Meats at Hop Merchants in North Hollywood - and SO glad we did! Pete is awesome, and the food is so yummy. We got the pulled pork bowl, potato salad, and brisket sandwich. Generous portions and so filling. Highly recommend! Thanks Pete!!

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Brisket, tritip and pork belly all delicious! So were the Asian style sauces.

The food is extremely good. This is the best brisket I've ever had. The taste is perfect and is not too salty or peppery. Solid 1000/10

They have the best lasagna, we also get the garlic bread, they have pizza dough so you can make your own pizzas at home. They also now have pizzas that you can just heat up. And let's not forget about the pastries and cookies! Street parking in the front free parking in the back, we order ahead so we don't have to stand in line.

Good sandwich spot in the valley, especially if you love meatball subs like I do!…read more I found out about Cavaretta's recently and decided to give it a try as I love meatball subs. I placed the order Saturday morning for 5 sandwiches via Doordash and they were delivered very quickly. On the Doordash app, you can only choose large size for most of the sandwiches. Only the Italian had the small option. That sucks as I was planning to order mostly small sandwiches, but this forced me to order mostly large sizes. All of the large sandwiches were $15.95, and the small Italian was $12.50. I also ordered two small cannolis for $2.95 each. The meatball sub was still hot when it arrived, and I was seriously impressed by the ginormous size of the meatballs. The bread was barely visible next to the meatballs! See my picture for reference. Most of my friends liked their sandwiches, but the person who got the hot pastrami commented that the pastrami was super bland. I tried a bite and I have to agree. Wouldn't recommend getting this. We each tried a bite of the cannoli afterwards. It was good as well, but I think I'm not a huge fan of cannolis in general. Would probably pass on them next time and stick to the meatball sub.

They have Pho as well as banh mi sandwiches, I got a sandwich during this visit. The #10 grilled pork with mayo and all the veggies, extra jalapeños. Let me just say, perfect, excellent, tasty, yum, etc. great sandwich, packed full of flavor, bread and pork are perfect, really, really love banh mi sandwiches anyway, but this one is true to the classic. All sandwiches are also $10, so go crazy and try a couple different ones, to me nothing beats the grilled pork though. You can enter from the street, but will have to find metered parking, so just drive around back, they have a small free lot and you can enter from the rear. There are not any seats to eat there, so everything is to go, but service is quick and the guy was nice behind the counter. Go check them out, grab a lotto ticket if your into that, get some great food, support a local woman & minority owned business, not enough of them out there. Enjoy!

We grabbed two breakfast sandwiches, one with bacon and one without, and both were standout in their own way. The first thing you notice? These sandwiches come out piping hot, wrapped tight and ready to go. Crack them open and you're hit with perfectly cooked eggs and an almost ridiculous amount of gooey, melted cheese. Not skimpy, not balanced, loaded in the best possible way. The Kaiser roll deserves its own shoutout: lightly toasted with just enough crunch on the outside while staying soft and pillowy inside. It holds everything together without getting soggy, even with all that cheese. * The meat version had crispy, flavorful bacon layered just right, salty, smoky, and not overdone. * The meatless one didn't feel like a compromise at all, still rich, filling, and honestly just as indulgent thanks to the cheese and eggs. No frills, no gimmicks, just classic deli breakfast sandwiches executed really well. Bottom line: If you want a hot, cheesy, perfectly toasted breakfast sandwich that actually hits the spot, Paulie's is a win. I can't wait to go back for lunch!

The Downtown Turkey (my choice) is pretty basic (which was fine by me) but it was very dry and I only had half, leaving with a stomachache for the rest of the afternoon. My dining companion had the Penne Alla Vodka which she really liked. I didn't get to try any, but if a pasta dish is the winner from a deli, well, enough said. A while back, Yelp listed this as a business to try. I'd saved this for the next time I was in Studio City. My entire feeling while heading home was "I drove all the way over here for this?!"

Ok. I've seen this place online and thought to myself "if I'm ever in Woodland Hills, I'm going…read morehere". Well.....today was the day. It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!
