Who knew a pop-up dessert place could be this good???…read more Okay, call me a snob, but I believe a dessert location should have four walls and some little colored tables and chairs. My favorite pastry shops and ice cream parlors all fit this description. The idea of chocolate-drenched strawberries doesn't quite match the hustle and street noise you find next to a carnitas or falafel truck. So I drove by this brightly lit, cheerful, stand for almost a year before I decided I had to try it. In a war between my love of chocolate and my love of propriety, my snootiness could only hold out so long. And boy am I glad I caved! When I ordered a Dubai Chocolate Strawberry dessert, I got a big clear cup with layers of cut strawberries, warm chocolate syrup, pistachio syrup, and shredded crispy filo dough, which is like sweet shredded wheat. It all mixed together in a dessert that was TOTALLY DECADENT! They also sell gourmet Dubai Chocolate bars that have the same mix of chocolate, pistachio and filo (no strawberries). These days, I think about this place more than I should. Recently, they were absent from their corner next to Gelson's in Valley Village, and I was so worried they'd moved, I called the owner! He assured me it was only the rain keeping them away. I'll leave you with this thought. There's some amazing ice cream/gelato places around town, some terrific pastry shops, but there's only one Dubai Chocolate Strawberry stand that makes Dubai Chocolate-Covered Strawberries this good. Ya' gotta try it!

My hubby and I were helped by Jasmine, who was welcoming, sweet, and very friendly. She gave us Dubai chocolate samples, and then little sample cups of the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup topped with baked Filo dough for crunch. We wound up sharing the large Dubai chocolate strawberry cup for $18. The strawberries were plump and sweet and fresh. The pistachio cream was rich and delicious. The chocolate was melty, and as we ate, hardened into a nice little shell. The shreds of baked Filo dough gave it a very nice crunch. It was really fun having a parking lot picnic! You couldn't ask for a friendlier or nicer employee than Jasmine. She really sold it! This isn't something you eat every day because it's extremely rich, filling, and admittedly, quite expensive. But I could see myself getting a hankering and going back again one night when I'm in the mood for a sweet Dubai chocolate strawberry cup.

The red beans n rice was the best I ever had, full of flavor just enough spice and I could not quit eating until my dish was empty. Now let's talk about these greens, I was a little nervous I didn't see any meat pieces in there, I think they might be vegan so I approached cautiously, but after that first bite my mind was at ease. Great texture and flavor and the theme of the whole meal was perfect spice and seasoning from start to finish! We'll be back soon for sure.

We ordered the Combo Plate - which is comprised with Brisket, Sausage, Chicken, and Ribs. And 2 sides. The food was okay. I have tried better ones. The ribs were tough and not falling off the bones. The sides we got were Mac & Cheese and Potato Salad. They were both okay as well. My SO and I are planning to comeback for the sausages. It was the meat the we liked most from the combo plate that we ordered. It is self service. No free tap water. They charge $1 for card payments. The place was empty when we came. It was pretty hot that day and no fan, so we sat down near the door to feel some airflow coming from outside. *ATM machine available inside.

Their 100% naturally leavened bagels come in a a variety of flavors as do their spreads. I was really impressed by the amazing flow this dynamic duo brings with their kindness, quality and service including the demure mindful cutesiness of options, including a lot of vegan friendly ones. They use Kite Hill non-dairy cream cheese for their dairy free folks, which I'd had in the past, but not being a natural cream cheese person growing up I don't typically gravitate to, but might reconsider or at least anytime I find myself enjoying the bread goodness of The Sourdough Daddy. Typically they have up to three or so pop up's each month which are listed on their website as well as their Instagram. Being a small pop and pop shop with the magic of the awesome owner partner husbands, you can definitely see and appreciate the tlc they put into this growing shop on the go. Their black garlic bagel with vegan CC is a ten! With full loafs and bagels by the dozen also available as well. From a variety of breakfast style bagels to microgreens and classic style with a twist you'll definitely enjoy these daddy delights.

I'm so happy I decided to visit yasu guys, I had the most amazing experience!…read more If you love Greek flavors but also appreciate a modern, creative spin on classic dishes, this place absolutely delivers in all aspects! I ordered their Chicken Crunch Wrap, which is their take on a Greek gyro but reimagined in a way that feels fresh and fun. Think traditional gyro flavors like seasoned chicken, creamy sauces, crisp veggies, but wrapped up in a perfectly toasted, golden, handheld format that gives you that satisfying crunch in every bite. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, not dry at all. The balance of textures is what really got me. The tender meat, cool and creamy elements, and that crisp outer layer that ties everything together. It's comforting but also feels elevated at the same time. What I loved most is that it didn't feel greasy or heavy. Sometimes wraps like this can feel overwhelming, but this was flavorful without being too much. Every bite had that herby, savory Greek profile, but with a modern street-food twist that makes it super craveable. And the baklava cheesecake! I'm not exaggerating when I say this might be one of the best cheesecakes I've had in a long time. It's such a genius concept that combines the rich, creamy texture of cheesecake with the sweet, nutty, honeyed layers of baklava. The cheesecake itself was smooth and decadent, not overly sweet, and the baklava elements added that perfect crunch and warmth from the spices and nuts. The service was beyond great, seriously feels like I stepped into a place where they treat everyone like family. Super hospitable and welcoming. There were some regulars there when I visited and they talk amongst themselves like if they're family as well. I loved the vibes here! Overall, Yasu Guys really impressed me. It feels like a spot that understands traditional flavors but isn't afraid to experiment and modernize them. The food is well-executed, and genuinely exciting. If you're into Greek food but want something a little different from the usual gyro plate, this is your place. Already planning my next visit! Thank you for having me.

It's frustrating to spend money and end up with food you didn't even ask for. And then there's the sauce... I don't know what's in it, but it's so ridiculously spicy it feels like it could double as a fire starter. Completely overpowers everything and makes the food almost inedible. Between the messed-up orders and the over-the-top heat, this was a pretty disappointing experience. Definitely not rushing back anytime soon. UPDATE: (in response to owner since I cannot respond) No one put me up to this, it's an honest review. I ordered through Uber Eats so fixing the order wasn't an option. The fire starter is the Chipotle Aioli you seem to put on all your dishes (at least the items on my order.) this was not requested but is an ingredient included. Instead of a having a helpful response I get a very sarcastic tone from you. Was hoping for an overall better experience.

My son didn't make a reservation because it was a Wednesday night and he didn't think it would be crowded. But with 5 adults and a baby carriage, we had to wait for the right table because the somewhat small restaurant was full. We soon got a good spot and ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pan fried dumplings for appetizers. The ceviche was served on a bed of crispy noodles and it was refreshing and satisfying. The dumplings were crispy, not greasy, and flavorful. For dinner, we got 2 orders of japchae and 3 orders of bibimbap. With 2 Korean-born children and having visited the country, those are among our family's favorite dishes. And they did not disappoint. The japchae noodles were just right. They were not too firm and not too soft and well-seasoned. With a mixture of veggies, meat, mushrooms, eggs, and that delectable sauce, the bibimbap tickled and satiated the tastebuds. I told the server there was a birthday at the table and she brought out an excellent creme brulee with a candle in it. My husband and I didn't pay the bill. But the prices were reasonable with most of the entrees costing less than $20 each. We have four more days in town and may very well make another visit to indulge in that scrumptious food.

I'll go one by one as I really didn't skimp on any of it..... First off, the brisket was so tender I couldn't even get it on to my plate originally. I had to keep stabbing at it with a fork and it just kept falling into pieces it was magical. The flavor was amazing with the perfect combination of that smokey and fire grilled taste. Didn't even need to use any sauce, but don't sleep on their BBQ sauce it had the perfect flavor of not too acidic and not too sugary. It's hard to stop eating it. I had to follow it up with the brisket quesadillas because.... well because they were staring at me and I had to show them who was boss.... Again, insane flavor combo and pleasantly addicting. Next move I had to throw down on a couple of hot wings to make sure my taste buds were still jumping and ready for the upcoming situation. Just for reference purposes, nice little kick with a bit of smokey flavor. Could've eaten 20 in one sitting but was continuing on my path of BBQ destruction. We now veered over to the baby back ribs .... I think I ate 10 before I realized what was going on. Yet again, the flavor was perfect and the meat was cooked to perfection. It didn't need any sauce, but I was a big fan of loading up on the BBQ sauce for these bad boys..... Next I shifted my fat eyed focus over to the tri-tip. It had that perfect pink center looking like a medium rare meaty super model. I went a different route here and dipped it into this horseradish sauce concoction that I never seen or heard of in my life. I don't know what was in that sauce, but it was phenomenal. I could have literally eaten this stuff by itself, but everyone was looking so I didn't want to make it weird. The tri-tip itself didn't even need any sauce and was super juicy, but that sauce just elevated the taste to another level. Now we decided to go a different location on the farm pay tribute to some smoked chicken. I had to dabble with both the BBQ sauce and the horseradish sauce as my dipping/smothering choices for this tasty bird. Couldn't even tell you how great it was without the sauce, since my mind was already fading trying to fight off my meat sweat coma. Lastly for our protein portion of the evening, I had to top it off with some of that pulled pork. Now this was extremely flavorful and some of the best I've had in quite some time. I did however enjoy lathering it up with that BBQ sauce like some of his fellow plate mates I already devoured. I will give a shout out to the sides, even though I only had a brief taste of each as I was going hard on the proteins. High fives to the potato salad, coleslaw, Mac and cheese, street corn, corn bread, tator tots and collard greens. I may have possibly missed one or 2, but after gorging on disgusting amounts of food, you tend to forget things. Had to make sure to sneak some of those greens in there so my heart didn't give out.... I however did not indulge in the chips and salsa that were there since I didn't want to come off as a pig..... So instead (as I forgot to mention previously), I took the queso and poured it over some pulled pork because that's what needed to happen at that moment.... Boom! For the grand finale, we had this banana pudding dessert that literally put me over the top. If I could openly cuss on this platform, I genuinely would.... It was absolutely orgasmic. That's right, you read that correctly. I don't know what they put in that thing, but to call it amazing would be an understatement. Pretty sure I blacked out at some point while finishing my bowl of dessert. As you can read, I was not a fan of any of the food in any way shape or form.(Sarcasm ...) I look forward to going back, but I will need to wait until I awake from this painful food coma I've been fighting off since the ending of the World Cup match watching USA beat the breaks off of Bosnia with one man down. Much love on the food and I happily dedicate this extra fat fold on my stomach and the 8lb weight gain to AJ's BBQ.
