We stopped by for breakfast on a Sunday. Marilou welcomed us with a big smile. The restaurant is located in a plaza, tucked away. The decor is very basic. About 8 tables total. The food was ok. I ordered the 3 poached eggs with sourdough bread and fruits. They served each item in a separate dish, not sure why, and the eggs were presented in a wooden bowl which wasn't appetizing. I added the eggs onto the bread plate myself. There was zero garnishing so the presentation was mediocre. The fruit bowl consisted of just cantaloupe. They tasted weird (they had an after taste of rubbing alcohol) so I didn't eat them. My hubby and daughter's food was ok. Nothing to brag about. Marilou served us. She was very pleasant, friendly and the best thing about our experience. She deserves 5 stars. I doubt that we will go back. It definitely wasn't worth $75 (with tips). read more

Coming into this place, you're welcomed by the fresh food being prepared. There's not a lot of seating, so your order is started once you've decided. Now I was surprised that a bowl of chicken soup (small) was brought out and it was perfect. Delicious, perfect with a cup of coffee to begin. Service is on point! This is my first time coming in here and I'm so glad I did! It's a cute little place in a strip plaza next to Shikoku Sushi. Parking is challenging though. They're open 8am-5pm for breakfast and lunch. Maria was my waitress and was awesome. Very helpful, friendly and attentive. I ordered Eggs Benedict and they were really good. The chilaquiles here are absolutely amazing! They also have a self-serve salsa and chips bar in the back, and the salsa is incredible. The balance of onion, tomato, and lime is perfect, and the cilantro tastes unbelievably fresh. I could honestly eat the salsa by itself. Highly recommend! read more

Went for breakfast, and overall, the food quality was poor, and the service so-so. The complimentary chicken soup was salty, so I only had a couple of spoonfuls. Plus, it just wasn't a necessary accoutrement to my omelette, which was quite salty as well. The mushrooms in it were overly salted, so I ate mostly just the eggs and the other add-in I ordered. The toast was super dry and stale, but I had to eat it too offset the saltiness of the omelette and soup. The menu needs work. It said the omelette came with 2 sides, and the sides aren't listed anywhere on the menu. I had to ask what the side options were, so I ordered the hashbrowns and the fruit. All I got was the fruit. I asked about the hashbrowns, and she said I only get one side! There was a bit of a language barrier, but the menu was clear it came with 2 sides. It took a while for the waitress to bring my requests (she'd forget, so I had to remind her a couple of times). Overall, I won't go be returning for a repeat visit. read more

It's located in a strip mall in Studio City just off Ventura Blvd. Juan is a great chef and his wife, Mary Lou, serves the food with a nice greeting and a smile. I ordered the poached eggs, hash browns and fruit plate. Everything was perfectly cooked and had Juan's special seasoning to enhance the flavor. I asked for my hash browns to be cooked on the crispy side and they came out exactly as ordered-the best part being that they were not oily like so many I get at other restaurants. We will be returning to Sofia's kitchen in the near future and I am looking forward to trying other items on his full menu, including lunch and dinner choices. So excited for this new breakfast/lunch spot that opened near my office. The service was fantastic, we rolled in for a lunch with 6 of us and were treated first with a sample of their homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup which was outstanding. We all ordered different things, i had the the Swiss Enchiladas, outside of the flavors being incredible the serving size was beyond generous which resulted in an extra bonus of leftovers to take home it comes with both rice and beans and includes three enchiladas. Others at the table enjoyed the burrito that included chicken, rice and beans, an omelet with spinach, peppers and cheese and the Chicken Burrata Sandwich. Plus, especially for those working nearby you can order online ahead of time and grab and go. They just opened in December and i am so happy to have another option (especially for breakfast) in the area. Nice tables and ambiance in this cozy spot located at the end of the the complex! After looking through the other glowing reviews on yelp, we had to try it out and we weren't disappointed. Such a cute, casual and CLEAN restaurant, quick and friendly service, DELICIOUS food, and free/convenient parking. Definitely not overpriced for what you get. We had the breakfast burrito and chilaquiles and they were enough for two meals. And they get an A from me for the real test - fresh, tasty beans and rice. The menu has great variety from breakfast to sandwiches to entrees and burgers. We're definitely coming back to try more.
