it's like a... Upscale Italian Urth Caffe! You order at the register and they give you a number like Urth Caffe. Then you pick your choice of seating and your food will be delivered. The oysters were delicious and fresh. The Diet Coke was on the pricey end but they prepare it extra cold and a cup of ice on the side. The market salad was very tangy. The portion was just right. Would come again for a quick solo bite or to linger on a casual summer evening.

Our friends took us here to celebrate me finding a wedding dress. We went right when it opened, so street parking was very easy to find. We were also sat very quickly and had enough room for a party of 6. We loved the decor of the place! Our server was also prompt and very nice. The food was delicious. I absolutely loved the burrata, the frozen spritz, and the ceasar salad. The pepperoni pizza was also a hitter as well. Everything we tried was flavorful, so you can go wrong with what you pick. Would come here again!

This place is fantastic. I love the vibes of the interior and outdoor patio. My only gripe is how loud the music is inside. I'm so glad we chose to sit outside but the inside is so gorgeous that the music really drowns out the aesthetic. We started with the kanpachi crudo which was pretty disappointing. The sauce was a basic lime citrus, there was hardly a sesame flavor and the pomegranates didn't add much. The kanpachi was way too firm and not a softer meat like it should be and lacked flavor itself. But the saving grace was the star of the show - the pizzas. We ordered a margherita nonna style and the market special which today was the carbonara. the crust on both is phenomenal! So crispy crunchy on the exterior with a chewy airy interior that is doughy but light. It's truly a fantastic crust. The margherita was executed perfectly but the nonna style which is just a calabrian chili paste on top isn't really worth the $2 extra. It's a decent flavor but not so much that it's needed. And that carbonara special was to die for. The golden yolks perfect to creamy perfection, the super crunchy lardon with that meaty taste, the cheesy richness of the sauce, slight kick from the pepper - this was outstanding. So although a few minor mishaps, the pizza is amazing and I would return over and over again for that

De La Nonna was such a cool and fun experience! The space is very intimate. A cozy little pocket of LA that feels more like someone's stylish backyard dinner party than a restaurant. Inside, warm wood tones and soft lighting give it that effortless "Italian neighborhood spot" energy, while leafy plants and creeping vines blur the line between indoors and outdoors. Step outside and it continues: garden vibes everywhere, communal tables, string lights, and that casual hum of people genuinely enjoying themselves. It's the kind of place you'd bring a date, your friends, or honestly just yourself and a glass of wine. Service here is friendly and refreshingly unpretentious. Quick heads up: you order at the counter rather than traditional table service. But, the staff actually knows the menu. They're happy to walk you through the items, explain flavor profiles, and give recommendations without making you feel rushed. It feels collaborative rather than transactional. Pepp Pizza (4.5/5). This pepperoni pizza was phenomenal. The pepperonis were perfectly crisped at the edges, giving that addictive little snap and curl that adds both texture and depth. The crust deserves its own moment; light, airy, and not dense or doughy. You can eat multiple slices without feeling weighed down, which is extremely dangerous. And please, do yourself a favor and add the hot honey. That drizzle of sweet heat cuts through the richness and elevates the pizza. It's not overpowering, it just lingers in the best way. I'd absolutely come back to work my way through the rest of their pizzas. Love this place!

My boyfriend and I made reservations here for Valentine's Day. The service was great, I was honestly impressed by the service. The food came out quickly and the servers were quick to respond despite it being a very busy day. The highlight of the meal was definitely the pizza. You would think that a pizza is so basic, how could it ever go wrong. However, the crunchy and delicious crust was honestly the star of the show. The hot honey sauce is a must! It brought that extra kick and flavor. Overall, De La Nonna is a great place to go for its ambience, cute interior, and amazing food. I highly recommend.

Beautiful restaurant and spectacular vibes! The restaurant itself is beautiful that offers both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the White Pizza and the Pepperoni. The dough itself is on the thicker side and the portions are huge! You'll definitely get full on 1 slice. I also ordered the oysters which were very fresh as expected. The service was fine. This restaurant requires you to order and pay at the front rather than a traditional sit and order restaurant. Overall, a beautiful restaurant with great dishes. Can't wait to come back to try their other pizzas!

Let's talk about focaccia! Just driving by on a Saturday and hungry. Found them on Yelp and it was on our way to our destination. Cute, open garden vibes is very laid back dress code. The sweetest host greeted us and recommended maybe, one of the best sandwiches I've had in a looong time. It didn't stop there. The Margarita pizza "à la nonna" was mouth watering. The airy and crunchy but soft focaccia was so deliciously unexpected. I'm still thinking about it!

The cheesy crunchy crust is to die for here, as is the hot honey and the spicy tomato sauce with the meatballs. Service is pretty quick, everyone has been nice and welcoming in the two times I've been here. Easy to get a seat on without reservations mid-week, bathrooms were clean. Ambience - casual disco vibes! The caesar salad was refreshing and light, but had a slightly stale aftertaste for the dressing, not sure what was going on there. Still delicious though, and a huge serving size. Could do with more layers and less chocolate shavings in the tiramisu, but we still ate it all Parking: Street and metered

My partner and I came here recently with some family, and we were so glad we did. The restaurant is cute and cozy with a relaxed vibe. Makes for a great spot to relax over some great food and drinks. We ordered: Caesar salad: very nice and refreshing salad served in a huge portion, perfect for sharing! Lox pizza: THIS WAS AMAZING. Completely unlike anything I've ever had on a pizza before, and something I cannot stop thinking about. My partner and I usually share everything we order, and I did NOT want to share this! Classic pep: really good, quality pepperoni pizza. Get it with the hot honey on the side. Tiramisu: also amazing. Very rich and decedent dessert. I also didn't want to share this! A must get. We also ordered a few drinks off their happy hour menu. Notably, they have happy hour every day, even on weekends. The beers they have on draft are from Italy, as are most of their wines. Overall, a very solid drink and happy hour menu. One thing to note, I believe the lox pizza is only served on Sunday, so don't expect to see it available all the time. Overall, we loved De La Nonna, and I fully expect that we will return soon (on a Sunday) for more pizza, tiramisu, and drinks.

Nonnas are all the rage it seems, thanks to a charming film and Staten Island restaurant. The nonnas from San Pedro have gathered here to share their wonderful, authentic cuisine. We started with crunchy, cheesy Arancini rice balls. The salad was just okay. The long strands of chewy macaroni pasta in pomodoro was authentic and well prepared. The standout dish was the crispy charred melt in your mouth sea bass, perfectly cooked. And the cannoli was definitely the best I've ever had- so thin and crispy. It felt like Italians in the know come here and I can see why. A great dining experience.

After a failed attempt to get into another spot in the arts district, we decided to walk into de la nonna for dinner, and honestly, I'm so glad the universe pushed us here instead. The second we walked in I immediately felt the cozy and warm vibe. The patio is beautifully lit, and the inside has such a charming atmosphere to it. What we ordered: - Classic Pepperoni (10/10): if you order this, the hot honey is a non negotiable. Perfect of savory + sweet, spicy, and crispy. Incredible. - Caesar salad (9/10): perfectly tossed with a generous amount of dressing. A touch too lemony for me but still very good. - It's a lox pizza (100/10): the star of the night. House smoked trout, garlic cream, dill... the pairing on this was insane. Only available on Sundays I believe. Worth planning around. - Tiramisu (100/10): listen... this was one of the best tiramisu's I've ever had. Wow. Amazing food, fantastic service, and vibes that'll make you want to stay for hours. Without a doubt, some of the best pizza you can get in LA.

The pizza here is an interesting experience. It tastes good for what it looks like. Got the White Pizza and the classic Pepperoni. Pepperoni was just how I had imagined. The White was just a bit odd for me. Service was good and the vibe is great. It is a bit loud indoors but still good

Such a cute place completely tucked away. I love that there's indoor and outdoor seating options. We tried the tomato salad and it was incredible. So fresh and flavorful! Pizzas are great also. Unique combinations. Will definitely be back.

The list clearly favors organic and biodynamic producers, which I always appreciate--minimal intervention, letting the terroir and varietal speak without unnecessary manipulation. The flight format was flexible, offering around five selections with the option to choose three pours. I went with a sparkling red, an orange wine, and a white--each bringing its own personality to the table. The sparkling red was lively and slightly unconventional, the orange wine had that textured, skin-contact complexity, and the white rounded things out with a clean, expressive finish. Our server elevated the experience by guiding the tasting order, which made a noticeable difference in how each wine showed. It's always a good sign when the staff understands how to pace a flight rather than just drop it off and walk away. We didn't explore the food menu this time, so I can't speak to the full program, but purely from a wine perspective, it lands at a solid 4 stars for me. The space itself is ideal for a relaxed midday tasting--plenty of seating, with a great outdoor setup. The tall greenery creates a sense of privacy without feeling closed off, making it just as suitable for a casual date as it is for catching up with friends. Honestly, if you've got a flexible workday and don't need to be on camera, this is a pretty perfect spot to post up with a glass and ease into the afternoon.

I did see some tables out on the sidewalk, but not sure if they all belong to them or Santos right next door. They have a good amount of wines that are domestic and international. We didn't have reservations, but we were able to grab a table inside at around 5:30pm on a Saturday. This place was busy. I really liked the Hamachi Crudo. That was so good, but there's only 4 slices for about $21. It's dressed in a ponzu yuzu sauce. It was so good that we ended up pouring the left over sauce on to our Tuna Tostada. Both items were fresh and I could not taste any fishiness. We also ordered the Mushroom Risotto and Cacio e Pepe. I thought the risotto was good, but the rice was definitely undercooked. I would have said something, but we didn't have much time left. The pasta reminded me of Mac n Cheese. I thought it was way too salty and didn't really do it for me. Kind of disappointed in the mains, but the 2 apps were really good.

Glassell Park is a hidden neighborhood in Los Angeles, anyway, and if you don't know what you are looking for, you might zip right past W&S, as we did. Parking is hit and miss, but there are side streets and you will find a space if you give yourself an extra 15 minutes before you come. The neighborhood is mysterious to me, sort of pricey grunge & hipster, iykwim. But! Once you are inside, you are in a completely different world. Bright, clean, genteel, muted, with dappled sunlight dripping through various apertures and alighting in a soft glow here and there on shining metal tables. It's beautiful. Some catchy upbeat contempo-pop music streamed steadily at just the right volume overhead. I found myself resisting the temptation to get up and dance. There are several rooms from which to choose, but I wanted to be seated on the wine-red suede banquette that gave me a view of the whole restaurant and out onto the tree-canopied street. From the time we arrived to the moment we left about an hour later, we were showered with warm smiles and attentive service. And the food? Exquisite. See my pictures. It was hard to choose. One tiny disappointment was they were out of the biscuits that I wanted to start with, but I enjoyed the crusty tender Clark Street bread slices served with warm creamery butter instead. It only got better from there. The two bowls we ordered were filled with fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection, topped with an egg prepared as we requested, i.e., over medium. The portions are modest and it was all so good, we didn't take anything home. We ordered coffee and were brought two tall steaming mugs of Americano, smooth, dark, and delicious. Best of all was the Lemon Lavender cake, a seasonal specialty. Honestly, it might be one of the best, moistest, most flavorful and elegant cakes I have ever had. So fantastic, that I just ordered some lavender buds (if I don't collect them from our garden) to replicate it at home. I don't drink much alcohol but if I did, I would head here for one of their experiences or tastings -- they have a formidable list. Check all this out. And hurry if you want to have Lemon Lavender cake.

Everyone also didn't feel particularly welcoming, from the hostess to the waitress (no smiles). Thankfully, we were seated outside for some fresh air, although the warm murky smell still lingered a bit outdoors. The menu seem fairly limited since nothing really stood out to me as especially exciting. I've studied the menu prior before going, and was only looking forward to their burger, but they didn't have it during dinner apparently. While the dishes were descripted very well on the menu, there was no depth in flavors. I'm talking about the pork belly, lamb chops, tartare, Spanish octopus, and especially the seasonal pasta. I'm happy that it wasn't overly salty, but overall the food tasted mediocre and felt a bit basic. I'm only saying this because I could make it myself, at least the lamb, fatty pork belly, and pasta. Portions were also on the small side. Service was a bit slower as it took some time to get seated and receive our food, and one of our dishes was forgotten until we reminded the staff after already finishing most of the meal. On the positive side, we were able to find easy street parking about a block away, and the restaurant itself has a cozy ambiance that would probably be great for a chill dinner with some wine. However, my group left still feeling very hungry and unsatisfied. To be fair, we came in hungry, and the portions and long wait didn't help.
