My favorite restaurant in Downtown LA. The food, ambiance, and service are all exceptional. The open concept and retractable roof are stunning features, and there is no bad table. Great place for a business meal, intimate dinner, or group experience. Valet parking makes it easy to get in and out in a busy downtown setting. Definitely give the Earl Grey puffs a try for a dessert!

Oh dear Redbird. My expectation for this restaurant was pretty high as I heard great things. I've been trying to try Redbird since Father's Day 2025. Just a back story on that, I made a reservation for June 15 2025, I received an email from the floor manager telling me all reservations have been canceled due to an event. Mind you, I get this email on June 13th. I was annoyed because I had to scramble and find a restaurant that had availability. I'm sure they knew of this event a while ago. So that was annoying. In September of 2025, I reached out to the floor manager, Ani, and tried to make a reservation for September 14th. She informed me that they will be closed for an event. So I reached out to Ani one last time to get a reservation for my anniversary on April 21st. We finally got in! So with all of the back and forth with Ani, I kind of expected them to go above and beyond. But unfortunately, I felt we were treated not so great. When we arrived, we waited a good 10 mins until the hostess greeted us. The time we were there, no one acknowledged our presence. When she finally came, she did apologized and walked us over to a big table in the farthest corner in the restaurant. Now mind you, it was only 3 of us, and they tried to sit us at a table that can seat 6, in a corner. No no, I'm not sitting there. I've literally been trying to come here for the past 9months and it's my anniversary. So I asked to be sat at a smaller table in the middle of the restaurant. Now, I'm familiar on how the seating works as it really comes down to the amount of servers you have and the amount of tables are within their section. But again, the manager Ani, was fully aware of my reservation and I felt that she should've provided better hospitality for us. So, once we were seated, we waited awhile for our waiter. When he finally showed up, we placed our order. We had drinks, appetizers, and our main meal. The menu is on the smaller side, so I expected the food to be overly delicious. But it was just ok. It was good, but not mind blowing. After dinner, I asked the waiter if I can speak with Ani. She came and I reminded her who I was and the back and forth emails we've had since July 2025. She knew right away. I told her I was a bit disappointed that the hostess was trying to sit us in the far corner. All she said was "oh sorry about that". That was it, no complementary dessert, or anything. Like wow! We've been treated so much better at other restaurants. It was real disappointing. I would not recommend this spot nor would I come back. I suggest the managers do more hospitality trainings.

Absolutely amazing dinner! Everything was delicious. We were thrilled with the complimentary Brazilian cheesy rolls. One person in our group is vegetarian, and there were plenty of options for her on the menu. I ordered the clam pasta, which is one of my favorite dishes but can be very hit-or-miss depending on the clams. These clams were cooked perfectly with not even a speck of grit remaining in them, and the guanciale was the perfect addition for a nice burst of extra flavor. This was a delicious and memorable dinner, and I would certainly come back if I'm ever in LA again.

Took my friends here who were visiting from out of town brunch. This wedding that weekend and hotel was right next to them. So was it a perfect option. We ordered the cod sandwich, congee, Lobster roll, and braised beef with a side of biscuits. Everyone enjoyed their food. Except maybe my friend who ordered the lobster roll. She felt it was really soggy lobster so she felt it might've been canned? My lobster was a good size and crispy The restaurant itself is beautiful, it was a nice day outside and it was Sunny. I love the decor, it gives off a natural airy feel. The service was standard. I feel like the was nothing wrong but nothing outstanding

Went to Redbird in downtown LA for the first time with a party of seven and really enjoyed brunch. The ambiance is amazing--it's a beautiful restaurant and a great setting for a special meal. We tried quite a few things including the biscuits, shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, the crispy potatoes appetizer, and pancakes. Everything was really good, and the biscuits were especially a standout. The only small hiccup was that my son wasn't a fan of their take on the biscuits and gravy--he said it tasted more like a chili than what he expected. But the staff handled it perfectly. They were extremely helpful and friendly and immediately replaced it with something else that he enjoyed. Overall, it was a really nice experience with great food, a beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service. While everything was good, the menu didn't quite pull us back for another visit, but it was definitely worth trying.

Delicious pre theater dining. There's something for everyone, from steak frites to pasta to Seabass to pork chop. This makes it difficult to say that the restaurant has a "specific point of view". But, with that said, it also makes for a profitable restaurant and a delicious meal so that's a WIN. Service is exceptional, vibes are immaculate! Located in the historic St Vibiana Cathedral - it's truly beautiful.

The ambiance is fantastic: sexy lighting, warm and cozy, relaxing and spacious. We were there celebrating a friend's birthday since it's a beautiful place. The staff was also very friendly. They could have checked in on us a little more, but overall very attentive. That being said, the food, while gorgeously presented, was slightly underwhelming, especially compared to the first time I went; textures and salt levels falling short of ideal. I'm not sure if I was turned off by the price to portion ratio as well. Cocktails are great and there's a nice wine selection. I'd love to stop by again for just a drink at the bar, great vibe to drink and chat. Nice that they have valet, not too pricey.

Another lovely brunch experience with our good friend and her beautiful toddler daughter, with an expanding palate. Redbird is an incredibly beautiful space to dine. I'd been here years prior for an event, but hadn't yet visited the restaurant. The pictures don't live up to experiencing the main dining space in person. Beautifully bright and open, with distinct color selections for the furniture and decor - simple, yet thoughtful. I knew the food was exceptional and it truly exceeded expectations. Cocktails we tried: Modern Mimosa Good Morning Vietnam 5 Easy Pieces - our favorite. Very light, flavorful, and refreshing. Food Selections: Pear Salad Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes Frittata Tempura Cod Sandwich Shrimp and Grits Basque Baked Eggs Buttermilk Biscuits Applewood Smoked Bacon Too much food on purpose because we wanted to try a little of everything and were happy to send the leftovers home to our friend's husband. Everything was very good. Standouts, however, were the Ricotta Blueberry Pancakes, Frittata, and the Tempura Cod Sandwich. I'm not a huge pancake fan, but these were like no other! Baby girl tore through the Frittatta lol. And the cod was cooked to perfection on the sandwich and paired with an amazing sauce. So good. The staff were extremely accommodating. Our reservation was shortly before they begin their transition to dinner and they allowed us to stay a while and catch up as they transitioned. Very kind. We will most definitely return for dinner and I'd love to dine in their lounge space soon as well. We had a wonderful time here.

Redbird is a great dinner spot with an amazing interior inside an old church. Food is always great especially the Parker rolls and fish. We went here for an anniversary date and they gave us a complimentary dessert. Wish the server was a little more warm and welcoming

I love a good Brunch spot... Tried RedBar with my sisters and between the ambiance, quality ingredients and taste, we were happy campers! [ ] Pear Salad: fresh with creamy goat cheese (noms) slightly spicy from black pepper and arugula, it's sooo good [ ] Basque Baked Eggs: spice-heavy though balanced. If you're nervous of spicy dishes, you'll enjoy the rich flavors without a sight of overwhelm [ ] Biscuits: decent, though not fresh (dined at end of brunch, so I get it) [ ] Blueberry Ricotta Pancake: simply decadent. A pancake lover's rejoice. Moist and buttery! [ ] Cod Sanwich: lemon & dill - cod was juicy with a tasty tempura finish, married by the garlic aoli.

Visiting for a conference, I asked a local friend for a recommendation for dinner and he said Redbird. I googled the name and thought it looked beautiful with a upscale menu. When I arrived I loved the ambiance -very intimate with a sophisticated but modern vibe. The outdoor seating area was gorgeous. We were sat in the sofas in the middle which were comfy. Service was fantastic. The dishes recommended by the server were all 5 stars-unique flavors and cooked perfectly. We ordered the everything rolls which were to die for-I'm a sucker for a fresh baked soft bread. The butter spread was also delicious. I was surprised by how big and tasty the market salad was! Grilled prawns and truffle gnocchi also a big hit, but my favorite by far was the pork chop. Cooked perfectly, it was so tender with a glaze that was to die for. I will definitely be thinking about this restaurant until the next time I'm in Los Angeles.

I never really make it to DTLA anymore but if one does, Redbird is pretty great for an intimate dinner, drinks at the bar, celebration with friends, etc. Their menu is pretty solid and they seem to do their basics very well. The porkchop was my favorite. The lamb shank was decent and the curry sauce was excellent. The pastas and salads are always on the mark. What they also do well are cocktails, classic and new fusion and love the night cap menu where they seal a cocktail for you to-go. The wine and desserts are pretty mediocre. Better to just get another cocktail in my opinion. I found the service wonderful. Efficient and friendly. They are run by professionals, which are hard to find these days. The thing I really enjoyed was the atmosphere, especially in the main dining room with open roof. Really sets the ambiance apart from other restaurants.

This restaurant is a stunner! From the dining room, restroom and their other private event spaces. We checked out their DineLA menu and the food was phenomenal ($65pp). We understood now how this restaurant was recognized by the Michelin Guide California. Amazing customer service. Valet was $15. Started off with cocktails. CASSANDRO (tequila, lime, grapefruit cordial, saline, carbonation, supplemental charge 14) Nogada (if you like mezcal, highly recommend) Appetizers - we loved both! Dungeness Crab (weiser melon, whipped tofu, chili oil, mint, masago a-rare TUNA CRUDO heirloom tomato, celery heart, opal basil, verni's olive oil Entree SEA BASS tomato saffron broth, mussels, fregola, fennel HANGER STEAK guajillo rub, yukon potato, corn salsa, piquillo pepper Dessert Mocha cream puff Peaches & cream Overall highly recommend because of the customer service, food and ambiance.

The seafood was abundant and everyone enjoyed each bite. The rice was al dente and not mushy at all, but helped meld all the flavors together. Everyone agreed we would reorder. MAIN - *Beef Ribeye: delicious. It's good to share because of the richness of the ribeye plus the bone marrow. I personally could not eat the whole ribeye by myself. Medium rare is the way to go. - *Mushroom Crusted Pork Chop: cooked well and was delicious! Not dry whatsoever. The crust on the pork chop was great. SIDES - *Dressed Lettuce: their salad which is a necessity to have vegetables at the table. The dressing is citrusy and bright, which helps cut the richness of the food. DESSERT - *Sticky Date Pudding: this does take some time to make since it's in a skillet. But when it comes out, it's so decadent with the ice cream. I tell myself that I'm healthy eating it since it's made with dates. - Chocolate Cake: dense, rich, dark chocolate, not too sweet. I love dark chocolate so I was a fan of this cake. We even got it to go and it still tasted good a few days after the meal. It's pretty dense for a cake and I really only need a few bites -- so its a nice way to end the meal. If 2-3 people: recommend 2-3 app/sides + 1 main protein If 4-5 people: 3-5 app/sides + 1 main protein I think it's a great celebratory meal. Everyone that I've come with has stated they would go come back -- especially since the menu does change seasonally. PARKING: street parking; there is usually some around the corner and down the block; no more than 5 minutes walking

The chopped chicken salad was actually so good and filling, I loved the vinaigrette, it was bright and refreshing. And the rainbow trout was cooked well. The cinnamon sticky bun was pretty good, but it was a little overdone so the bottom was quite hard. The black sesame matcha was okay as well, I didn't really taste the matcha or the black sesame.

Yall gotta try this delectable restaurant!!…read more Shout out to the Red Dining Book bc I never would have known about Linden, and I am so so glad it brought my friend and me here! The food is divine, the playlist on 100, the interior beautiful, chic, and homey at the same time. All the wait staff are so so friendly. We were able to find street parking but they do have $13 valet if you can't! We started with the Caesar brûlée which was solid, great presentation. 8/10 We next had the yucca fries in duck fat omg SO good. And I used to eat yucca literally every day when I lived in Paraguay. These fries were perfect GBD and the butter they come with? Absolutely heavenly. Perfect bite, perfect mouth feel, perfectly pillowy inside 10/10 Next we had the oxtail grilled cheese special. Yall, this was ooey gooey melty and the butter/oil/bbq sauce on the side was PERFECT for the sandwich. 9.5/10 for this We finished with the snapper and the agnolotti. The agnolotti was a great summertime dish;the corn and peas make it feel light. The agnolotti fell apart a little bit, but still delicious. 8.5/10 The snapper was perfectly breaded and cooked, and it came with the perfect accompaniments - the sauce, greens and fennel, and pink grapefruit rounded each other out perfectly. Great dish 9/10 I will definitely be bringing friends back here! It is a smaller restaurant, which adds to the homey feel. And my friend could not get over hearing Brandy and Janet in the same sitting. Truly great music!

Unfortunately, we left feeling more disappointed than impressed. To start on a positive note, we were seated on time, and all four of our cocktails were well-made and enjoyable. Unfortunately, that's where the positives mostly ended. Our overall dining experience lasted over 2.5 hours, which was simply excessive. We were seated outside, and for most of the evening we appeared to be the only table outside being served. Despite that, everything moved at an incredibly slow pace. Several items we ordered were either never entered or never brought out, which only added to the frustration. For appetizers, the Caesar Brûlée was the biggest disappointment. It honestly tasted spoiled and had an unpleasant aftertaste that made it difficult to enjoy. The Curry Corn "Ribs" had a nice flavor, and the Lemon Pepper Brussels Sprouts were easily the favorite dish of the night. The $23 bread basket, consisting of two fish-shaped pieces of cornbread and four small pieces of focaccia, felt very overpriced for what was served. For our entrees, we ordered the For Goodness Steak and the Bama Smoke smoked chicken. The steak itself was cooked to the requested temperature and had good flavor, but it arrived only lukewarm, which took away from the experience. The smoked chicken breast was tender but lacked seasoning, and the Alabama white sauce wasn't what we'd expect from authentic Southern-style Bama sauce. We were also excited to try the restaurant's famous oxtail pot pie, but unfortunately it had already sold out by the time we arrived. What made the evening even more disappointing was the lack of hospitality. When we expressed our frustration about the long waits, we were told they were busy inside--as if sitting outside somehow explained or justified the delays. Had we been informed that outside service would be significantly slower, we could have made an informed decision or at least adjusted our expectations. Even more surprising, during a meal that lasted over two and a half hours, not one manager or member of leadership stopped by to apologize, check on our experience, or acknowledge the obvious service issues. Overall, the food was average at best, with a couple of standout appetizers, but nothing that justified the lengthy wait or made us eager to return. Service and hospitality are just as important as the food, and unfortunately both fell well short of expectations. Based on this experience, it's highly unlikely that we'll be back.

Majordomo has been uber-chef David Chang's flagship restaurant in Los Angeles since its 2018…read moreopening, yet this was my first visit, for weekend brunch. In my defense, I have frequented several of his numerous restaurants in New York (some now closed) and Las Vegas. Majordomo's location is rather odd--north of Chinatown in a non-commercial area full of warehouses, some refurbished, like Majordomo's. This part of Naud St. doesn't even have curbs or sidewalks. There are 2 large parking lots, one for Majordomo guests (not free), plus street parking. Nearby is Los Angeles State Historic Park, so street parking is precious during later brunch hours. Majordomo has a pretty large airy warehouse interior dining area, plus an equally spacious covered patio. I arrived early to see a staffer debugging the area with some sort of powered zapper. I looked over the online brunch menu quite thoroughly, only to find the actual menu is a bit different. I was here to use an expiring Chase Sapphire Reserve dining credit, so I ordered quite a bit. 1) Kimino Momo sparkling peach soda. Came in a bottle, made in Japan, refreshing and not too sweet. I looked up the brand to see if it was owned by David Chang--it's not. 2) Bing Bun Basket (3 pc). Nice Korean version of a Parker House roll. Served with cream cheese/ricotta/butter with chili jam/honey/dulce de leche. Delish. 3) Corn Pancakes. A stack of 3 served with maple butter syrup and an herbed creme fraiche. Nice crunchy edges, slight corn taste, topped with corn flakes. Unique. 4) Crispy Bing. A flattened bing bread fried crisp and topped with smoked pork shoulder, avocado crema and another spicy red crema, plus a fried egg. This seemed to have replaced the croque madame on the online menu. The bread was rather tough, but tasty. 5) Steak and Egg Crispy Rice. My fave dish. Pieces of steak, slices of pickled daikon and jalapenos, scallions and sesame over crispy rice with mushroom broth and a fried egg on top. Mix it all together for a delish savory delight. 6) Smoked Rack of Pork Ribs. I got half a rack. Slow smoked/roasted to a salmon pink colour. Tender and tasty with sweet, vinegary and (not too) spicy BBQ sauce. The online menu listed 2 desserts, choco pot de creme and honey pie. I would have liked to try the honey pie but was told this was not possible. Overall a nice, tasty and substantial Korean fusion brunch. I noticed that at opening, 100% of the guests were Asian, then later decreased to maybe 95%. The staff is a potpourri, service was goo https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g32655-d13576835-r1066722912-Majordomo-Los_Angeles_California.html#
