    Peach cobbler

Went here on a late night about 11 after our wrap party and it was all of our first time and they did not disappoint! We had a variety of food and we just shared it all and everything was good & tasty! For dessert we shared a peach cobbler and we was drooling over it lol. Our server was not the greatest, I think she was ready to go home and they kept letting people in, so someone from the bar ended up helping our table. I loved the decor & the vibe was just right for a late night dinner on a Saturday. Not too loud but not quite either. Some celebs came later and was seated near us, but we are all professional in the business, so we smiled and nodded and they just asked us how our food was. We had a great night there and I think that will be one of my regular black owned spots in LA!!! There is street parking akeep in mind that it is in or near Hollywood, so valet may be safer!

Linden, a restaurant with roots in New York bringing together cuisine with inspiration from different cultures around the world. First, parking. Linden is on Sunset, so parking can be hard to come by. If you're lucky, you might find street parking, but most likely you'll need to valet unless you don't mind walking some distance. Moving on. We had a reservation so we were seated immediately. Started with drinks, and I don't remember the names (apologies). One was a passion fruit cocktail, very flavorful. The other has pineapple and was also very nice. Both drinks has a great blend of spirit and flavor. Food, we started with the Yellowtail Crudo and the Lobster & Crab Knuckle Sandwich. The crudo was excellent with a scotch bonnet ponzu sauce to dab in and scallion salad. Would definitely recommend. The Lobster & Crab Knuckle Sandwich was also one of the best lobster rolls I've had. So much lobster and crab, perfectly buttered, a great roll... so good! For entrees we did the NY strip and the Sweet Corn & Pea Agnolotti. The NY strip was cooked perfectly with the pomme puree and wilted spinach. Great bite with everything together. The Sweet Corn & Pea Agnolotti was also good with sweet corn-filled agnolotti and charred corn on top. The one thing that I felt was a little it of place was the truffle on the peas. It wasn't an overbearing amount but the truffle flavor really came through and, for me, just didn't bring it all together. It was still a good dish, but I felt the truffle did not need to be there. Might have been better with something else or just leaving it off all together. Overall, fabulous restaurant on Sunset serving a great menu with inspiration from around the world. Cocktails were amazing as was the food. Highly recommend!

I like the bar more than the food. Came here on a Friday with an 8p reservation. It was a little busy and we were sat near the kitchen. The lighting is low and intimate. Great for a date night. The music was good but over shadowed by the kitchen music since there's no door. At first glance, the menu is limited. My cocktail was decent but the glass was sticky. The duck fat fries were good, with a mashed potato texture and came out piping hot. The pear salad had a good balsamic dressing but I wish the pears stood out more or has more in general. The oxtail pot pie was too rich and salty for me. Two bites was enough and the crust was thick. The peach dessert was not my favorite; super thick crust that wouldn't cut and the peach chutney was flavorless. The icecream on top was the better part of the dish. Overall, the food didn't do it for me. I'd come back for a drink at the bar or the speakeasy.

At the edge of the tenderloin on Sunset where gentrification has sunset you'll find a ray of sunshine. Linden is the poster child for charming. A patio wraps the front with a trellis and hanging plants separating al fresco diners from the belching exhaust of an uncorked Camry. Spend a Jackson on the Valet otherwise parking can be a challenge. Inside you are greeted by an efficient pleasant warm and welcoming Hostee along with Douri, Dining Manager, who sees and senses all around him. He could probably Coach an NFL Team to a winning season. The Decor: A NYC chic shack hooks up with a perfect French Bistro. Thick Burgundy drapes to the floor soak up the sound of the loop (70's Soul Train end of the line). The balance of music versus convo's was spot on. A beautiful Granite Bar invites ones and twos. A hidden alcove is just right for a polyamorous date night. The rest of the floor are two and four tops and none too close to make diners feel like tinned fish. Settled in, Ammon stopped by to introduce himself and he was great from the jump. Ahem. He was naturally personable, easy going, and helpful. The Bar: The Bar anchors the room without dominating it. The Bar delivers. Signature cocktails, Classics or leave it to the Bar Tender to get you all mixed up. The Punch Buggy winked at me. D'usse Cognac, Kahlua, Fresh Orange Juice and Demarra Sugar. Sweet as a first kiss and potent as Pit Viper venom. Two of these and I would be too punchy to drive my buggy home. The Staff: All paid attention during Team Prep. Bright, on it, and capable. Ammon brought his own vibe to the table along with his quick sense of humor. No matter who stops by your table you'll be in good hands. Douri keeps everyone on task and target. The Food: Bold and innovative. It's a mash up of what's on Linden Blvd in NYC. Creole, Soul Food, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Italian, Jewish. Something for everyone. The menu is clever. "Breaking Bread" was a wood plank with Focaccia (with Olive Oil and Balsamic), Cornbread with Panko Coated Butter shaped like a Fried Chicken leg, and a mini Everything Bagel with Schmaltz Butter. "Oh, and Ammon, can you please bring double shots of Crestor for the entire table?". The Caesar Salad was adolescent Romaine hearts stacked up with a ladle of dreamy creamy Caesar Dressing, then Blow Torched and topped off with herby Toasted Bread Crumbs and fresh grated Parmesan Cheese. Hail to this Caesar. Next out was my old weakness comin' on strong. Fried Calamari. It was a Hill of Rings and Things with Little Beak Sweet Peppers that had a little nip of heat and a sprinkle of Tomato Powder finished the dish. This was as good as Fried Calamari gets. Some of the best in town and that's any town. If Linden sold these in a Family Bucket, I'm in and will take two. Ammon rode the brakes on the rest of what I over ordered until he arrived with the "Bama" Chicken. This was a platter of brined and smoked Chicken Breasts as tender as a puppy's tummy. Now how bout some Alabama White Sauce? (Mayo with Apple Cider Vinegar and whatever the Prep Cook can reach). This was set in a schmear of Pureed Parsnip and a few Ping Pong Balls made with Collard Greens and Cornbread. This dish was a religious experience. Thank you Lord. Over Grits with two fried Eggs the next day was just as good too. Next out was the Cornmeal Encrusted Snapper the size of Shaq's Shoe. It reminded me of a shore side old fashioned Southern style Fish Fry at Lake Wylie in Clover, So. Carolina. I say push the pile of dressed greens (Arugula and Red Chimichurri) off the fish and enjoy the Snapper neat. Then come back to the salad. Finally, the checkered flag was in sight, but not before I succumbed to the Filo Encased Peach Caramel with Brown Butter Vanilla Ice Cream and a Coupe of Grandma's Pie (Vodka, Lillet Blanc [Vermouth], Peach Liqueur, and Cinnamon dusted over the top. Ammon, can you call the stretcher bearers, please?" Linden...it's a sin then not to go.

I'd rate this as one of the top in LA. The staff was great but the food was even better. Felt like you were dining at your grandmother's house. The food, drinks, music, all embodied what makes LA great. I will definitely be back.

I made dinner reservation at Linden because I heard it was considered one of the best burgers in town. I am a burger connoisseur and was eager to try their burger and duck fat fries. The atmosphere and decor was on point. Chic and lively, I could definitely feel the New York inspirations. I opted to sit at the bar to enrich the dining experience with the lively chatter. I ordered a gin martini with a lemon twist and started my night with the Herb duck fat fries. They were served with a lemon caviar aioli which paired perfectly with the rich and creamy potatoes. They were simply heavenly and so delicious filling. Then the star of the night came out the Linden Burger. The French onions and smokey patty was an amazing combination along with the light lemon garlic aioli. Every bite was flavorful and different take on a classic burger but without losing the core flavor of delicious meat, light sauce and crunch of the slaw. The bartenders were expert mixologist and attentive to all our needs. This will definitely be a place I put on my Hollywood rotation as they have several different items with Caribbean flavors that seem so interesting and unique.

Fabulous spot and absolutely delicious food! Make sure to register make a reservation as we saw so many people walk in on the restaurant was already packed, and the staff worked extra hard to try to accommodate everybody. Our server Aman was exceptional! Made sure to explain the menu to us and gave great recommendations. We got brussels sprouts, the duck fat fries, and the smoked chicken to share for two people. Couldn't resist getting the crispy, peach dessert, and it was phenomenal! On top of all that, the ambience was cozy with great music - it's a vibe!!! We'll be back!

We visited on a weeknight, and we were seated immediately with no reservation. I ordered the Brussels sprouts and the plantain and potatoes. The plaintains and potatos were served with a huge salad, which was tasty but I wished they added more potatoes and plaintains. They have some different items on their menu, stuff I hadn't seen before. Service was good. I plan on visiting again to try something different.

Chef Jon and his team are absolutely in their bag at Linden. Every dish felt intentional, balanced, and deeply satisfying. This is the kind of meal that stays with you long after you leave. I am genuinely making myself hungry again just thinking about it. The oxtail wagyu not a pot pie was unforgettable. Rich, comforting, and incredibly well executed with layers of flavor that felt both elevated and soulful at the same time. The Caesar Brûlée was a standout and such a creative take on a classic, perfectly textured and beautifully presented. And the lemon pepper brussel sprouts were addictive with the ideal balance of brightness, seasoning, and crispness. Beyond the food, the ambiance seals the experience. The lighting, energy in the room, and overall vibe make it feel warm, stylish, and effortlessly cool. The crafted cocktails were equally impressive and thoughtfully composed. Chef Jon and the staff truly deliver a dining experience where every detail matters. I left incredibly pleased and already planning my return.

Run, don't walk, to eat here! I was honestly hesitant because when I glanced at the menu nothing looked super appealing, but boy was I wrong. Everything we had was delicious and our server was on point. The ambience is viby. Think lounge, with R&B and a little hip hop, dim lighting and good conversation. They also have a speakeasy you can pop in before or after you eat. Attire is upscale casual Make a reservation, this is a hot spot and you might not get in. I literally loved everything we had so if there's a picture of it, I loved it. Oxtail pot pie - was very hearty. Very flavorful, but a heavier dish. Snapped - light, but filling All the starters we had were amazing. Brussels, Yucatan potatoes, and bread basket had to be my fave!! Each bread had its own spread option.

Linden will make you want to come back again and again. The menu changes often but they keep the staples. It's cozy, classy and romantic. The staff has always been so kind. The manager gave our table complimentary champagne after having to wait a short time for our table. The chef came out and was very personable. Now the food... delicious, unique twists and crave-able. 10/10

AMAZING FOOD AND VIBES!! I LOVE IT HERE!!! So everything about this place is top tier. The service was amazing from the time we walked in to when we hit that trapdoor to DOT next door. Our server Ahman was attentive had great personality, funny. "Strong and cute " LOL. The food was amazing we ordered a bunch of things. That knuckle sandwich was hitting hard. That steak and mashed potatoes was delicious. OMG and the ox tail grilled cheese hands down was Completing hard with that knuckle sandwich. The food was to die for , I can't say enough about the food. This restaurant EVERYTHING WAS SO DELECTABLE!!! There's not many restaurants that you can say everything was delicious but you can say it about Linden. The chef came out , the GM came Over. The customer service made you feel like you were a VIP customer. I definitely have to go back, like ASAP. I'm dreaming about this food. The experience was unforgettable and the type of experience that whoever trained those individuals at LINDEN in creating a customer experience need to train other restaurants. I will Definitely be back. Oh and not to mention after You eat they can take you next door through the back to go to DOT. It's a bar next door with drinks and music. It gets pretty packed in there at around 11. I can't say enough wonderful amazing things about this place. Will definitely be back for sure !!!! Will be making reservations again soon.

The atmosphere here is wonderful with good music playing at a decent volume. There's a decent patio and nice dining room. I would definitely recommend making reservations since it's not a large space and seems to be popular. The service was so wonderful from the host, waiter and bartender. On to the food. Everything was flavor-fully done well with nice presentation and large portions. Go early for the Oxtail Wagyu Pie which is tender and delicious. The Herb Duck Fat Fries has a nice thin batter with interestingly creamy and savory filling. Very nice place and very good food.

Other staff did come by to clear our empty plates from the table, so that was nice. We did notice that they only provided 1 serving spoon for all of our dishes. Would've liked a serving utensil with each dish to minimize cross-contamination and mixing of flavors. Throughout our dining, there were flies and small bugs flying around, which was off-putting and annoying as we had to keep swatting them away from landing on our food. 1. Farmhouse Beet Salad (5/5) It's a good thing this was the 1st dish to arrive at our table as it left a good 1st impression. The roasted organic beets were fresh and had that earthy-tone to it. Dressed with their lemon-oregano vinaigrette, feta, arugula, and candied pecans. OMG, those candied pecans were heavenly. It's crunchy and toasted to perfection. the candied flavor of it was addictingly delicious. If they have a menu item of candied pecans, I'll order it any day. 2. Trio Taco (2.5/5) You can choose between chicken, steak, shrimp, plant-based chicken, or jackfruit. We opted for steak. The steak was fine, but for BBQ sauce used was just a dish killer. They need to rethink the choice of sauce used in these tacos. Also, not a fan of corn tortilla. Wish they gave a choice between corn and flour tortilla. 3. I've never had duck fat butter before, so this was a pleasant experience to try. Not to worry, there's no duck flavor at all. It's almost like cream cheese but lighter and airer. 4. Ahi Filet (1.5/5) Sesame-crusted ahi with a side wasabi aioli. The ahi was so-so; definitely, not the freshest and there's no "melt-in-your mouth" joy. The wasabi aioli sauce was good though. There is a subtle spice kick from the wasabi. It's served with a side of soba noodles that was gingery and peanuty in flavor. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked as they stuck to each other in clumps. 5. Bacon & Blue Burger (4.5/5) Quite a satisfying burger consisting of wagyu beef, duroc bacon, aged blue cheese, caramelized onions, and arugula. It's juicy, meaty, slightly tangy from the horseradish aioli and sweet from the port wine reduction. The brioche bun was pleasantly soft. 6. Thai Ginger Salad (3/5) This salad consists of romaine lettuce as the base. It is dressed with Thai sesame dressing, which was underwhelming. The toppings for this salad include fresh mango cubes, slaw, slices of avocado, fresh peanut bits, tomato and soba noodles. It's not a bad salad, but for the price, I do not think it is worth it. 7. Superfood Longevity Salad (4/5) A salad consisting of mixed greens (lacinato kale and spring mix) with a variety of rich, nutritious toppings (organic beets, quinoa, pomegranate, radish, blueberries, almonds, dried Bing cherries, and pepitas). The dressing is a sherry vinaigrette that's tangy, creamy and light. All the ingredients came together well. If you are looking for a hearty salad, this is for you. 8. Hibiscus Rosé (4/5) Sparkling rosé with hibiscus flavor infused with grapefruit skin to give it a bit of citrus note and topped off with a micro flower to add a special touch of decor to the drink. In summary, the food looks better than it actually tastes. Come here if you want to eat out with a large party for celebration, but otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it for a special night out as the price does not justify the experience.

Start with the "farm vegetables" carrots, yes, but carrots the way a poet means them. Sweet, blistered, singing. And then the aioli..... oh the aioli. I don't know what wizardry was in it and I've decided I don't want to. Some mysteries are better kept as mysteries you can drive back to. My wife and I looked at each other over that plate the way people do when they realize the afternoon has just changed shape. We are coming back for it. Every day. For the rest of our lives. Put a plaque on our table. .....The salmon belly burger was mine and I guarded it like family silver, rich, silky, the kind of fat that melts into everything around it. My wife had the smoked beet quesadilla, which arrived smelling like a good fire and tasted like someone had thought very hard about beets and finally gotten it right. She offered me a bite. She regretted offering me a bite...... And the owner served us himself. Warm, and present, the kind of host who tells you about a dish because he's proud of it, not because it's a script. That pride is all over the food. You can taste the years of devotion in it. Go. Sit down. Order the vegetables first. Let someone who cares about cooking feed you a real, considered, and generous plate. This is what a neighborhood restaurant is supposed to feel like.

The duck was exactly how I like it: crispy without being burnt and packed with flavor. And then there was the Gringo Burger for my gringa, which she loved. We finished with the Pavlova, which was the perfect ending. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, and the kind of place that makes you start thinking about what you'll order the next time before you've even left. We'll definitely be back.

Parking: there's valet and several of lots but watch out for the $5 small print. I went 2 blocks up by the residential area and was able to find parking on a Saturday around 12pm. For drinks, i had a classic Aperol Spritz, which was very nice and refreshing. But I had to try Florida Man because of these ingredients (blueberry rested Ilegal mezcal, Lo-Fi vermouth, lemon, African basil). They have a really good beverage program, and I would like to come back more for drinks and try the Bro over Tomatoes. For food, I got the pop over benedict, honestly, I didn't know what I was expecting because I was assuming a regular benedict, but it was the most beautiful presention and delicious hollandaise sauce i've ever had in my life! The hollandaise has a little spice to it that blended well with the creaminess. I also had that barbecue oysters, which is basically oyster rockefeller. I really how they have fun names of their drinks as well as their food. The service were absolutely delightful. My server made me laugh. When I asked him, what should I get between one or the other drink, and he suggested, why not get one after the other which made me chuckle. A definitely a great sales person.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and I really loved the overall feel of the restaurant. The food was delicious, with a few hits and misses for my personal taste. The honey butter cornbread was absolutely delicious, and the quinoa with snap peas was another favorite--so fresh and flavorful! The baguette for the barbacoa sandwich was a little too hard for my liking, and the chicken was slightly dry for my taste, but the flavors were still really good overall. Definitely a great place to experience if you're in the Arts District and looking for something a little more elevated with that rustic, farm-to-table feel. I'd come back to try some of the other dishes!. Service was good as the food came out pretty quick.

This is more upscale, almost fine dining Filipino food. Something I have never experienced before. We were very intrigued and were excited to try the food. If you're looking for a carinderia or turo-turo taste, this ain't it so don't come expecting that. Menu is not extensive, which is what we like. I have a hard time at Cheesecake Factory and that just stresses me out. I feel like their food menu is compact, thoughtfully created, and appealing. We had a very difficult time not ordering the entire menu. So we ended up eating almost half of it. Drinks menu was also very innovative and the drinks were STRONG. I also appreciate that they have non-alcoholic versions of some of their drinks. I wasn't indulging that day so Hubby and I were able to sample one of each type. Calamansi Mojito ($20) for him and Ube Horchata ($14) for me. As for what we ate: Manila Mais ($18) - 2.5/5 stars - It was, okay. Filipino-ized version of Mexican elote, corn-ribs style. Though it had Filipino elements like the bagoong butter, it didn't really taste like anything different. And to be honest, the bagoong butter didn't bring anything to the table the way it was presented to the side of the corn. It was too hard and just sat on the elote as you ate it. Kare Kare Tamales ($26) - 5/5 stars - UH-AMAZING!!! I could have eaten two, regular-sized tamales versions of this as an entree instead of two smaller appetizer size. The braised oxtail inside the tamales was soft and tender but the peanut butter veloute was *chef's kiss*. You definitely tasted kare kare but in an innovative way. I just wish they had some steamed rice or bread so I could soak up the sauce. I almost cried when they took the plate away because I didn't want to waste the sauce! Bicol Express Mezzelune ($38) - 4/5 stars - I was eyeing this originally but opted not to until the chef came out and talked us into it. And I'm so glad he did! This was delicious! Ironically enough, I just cooked traditional Bicol Express the week before and this definitely hit those notes without being a carbon copy of it. Again, where was the rice?! Only thing I can dock is that I felt like the pasta was a tad too thick and was chewy to my taste. Otherwise, I would definitely order this again. Was the sleeper hit of the dinner. Crab Fat Fried Rice ($38) - 5/5 stars - Crab? Crab fat? In rice?? Of course, sign me up! So delicious and a very generous portion. I wanted to hoard it to myself but I guess I had to share with Hubby. Would order this again. Ribeye Salpicao ($96) - 3/5 stars - Not my favorite of the bunch and this surprised me because I love rib eye. It came out medium instead of the medium rare we ordered and the taste was just not to my preference. It's possible that it was just overshadowed by the other excellent dishes we had. Likely will not order again though the portion was generous. Two minor things I wish they had but not enough to dock stars: Rice and spoons. Come on, now! This is a Filipino place! These two are musts? How else could I mop up all the delicious sauces they put on the food?! Service was impeccable! From front of the house host, bartender, and the chefs, the experience was very welcoming and polished. We sat at the bar and was able to chat with the chefs when they came to introduce themselves to us and they were the nicest people. You felt like you came to a friend's house and not an impersonal stranger's. Will definitely be back to try the other half of the menu we missed and we'll be bringing friends!

The food was amazing, but the atmosphere was what really made the night special. And Chris, who took care of us, exceeded our expectations with his wonderful service. This is my second time here: last trip was in 2022, where I had the best fig and gorgonzola pizza and bone marrow of ma liiiiiife (in addition to some pasta dishes)! This time, I had six dishes, split with my friends: the fig and gorgonzola pizza (again--why mess with a fave?), the octopus and calamari (surprise hit!), the oxtail ravioli (good--but not my favorite; portion was super small too!), the gnocchi (good, but not amazing), the lamb ragu pici (AMAAAAAAZING!). We also had some beverages; a cellador saison and 2 glasses of red wine. The service and attention is good. I will say that inside the restaurant, it is BUMPING! We are so glad we got a table out on the patio so we could actually converse (inside the restaurant, the music is so loud, you practically have to yell!) If you sit outside, say hi to the family of raccoons on the roof! I will also say, since 2022, this restaurant is now "highly recommended" by the Michelin guide...which has definitely increased its popularity. Somehow, this has translated to much smaller portions though. They encourage sharing "family style" with friends, but the portions are so small, you really only get a few bites from the pasta dishes before it's all gone! (The pizza is at least bigger). So, while Bestia is fantastic, prepare to order a lot more to be truly full and spend at least $100 per person. For all 6 dishes, drinks, and tax (without tip) our total for 3 people was $250.01.

The server (on my receipt the name is Austin) ALSO forgot to do the birthday candle for my husband (which i asked for and saw all the tables around us getting celebration candles - I know it's such a small detail to complain about but if everyone else didn't have an issue, why did we?) - hence my low star rating. She also kept us waiting around forever for our check that I had to flag down one of the hostesses because we waited another 15 minutes with our card out. The service was so bad and distracting so unfortunately it took away from my experience. Positives: street parking is super easy, do NOT pay for the $14 valet. The cornbread is an absolute must, the trout was absolutely delicious, the chili stew was incredibly flavorful, and the cobbler was a nice sweet end to the entire meal. I would maybe come back another time but hopefully have better service.
