    Boss burger double
    Grace G.

Stopped by in the evening with a group and ordered a double boss burger. The employee was attentive and let us know a triple patty is pretty hefty. Seating on the benches outside is pleasant, they were clean and had umbrellas. Boss burger (5/5): I was hungry and this burger was amazing. The blue cheese was really balanced and added a wonderful flavor to the burger. A double was perfect for me. The onion marmalade was also a good pairing- well balanced and not sharp or acrid. Sooo good and a little saucy. Pineapple Margarita slushy (5/5): My friends tried this and we all agreed it was good, just know it's on the strong side. Great icy consistency too. Don't chug it onion rings were decent as well. Overall the burgers really smack, the price is nice, and service is streamlined with decent outdoor sidewalk seating. Is Glory Burger a hole in the wall? Quite literally, kinda. Did everyone say it's good? Yes definitely, and I would frequent again. Note: no restroom; the food hall nearby was closed and so was the pizza shop.

The Boss Burger (blue cheese!); it was a risk getting a blue cheese burger because a lot of places can't pull them off. The burger was amazing, perfectly balanced. The spot was open late and the girl at the window was super friendly and nice to talk to. The fries, a bit pricey but seasoned just right.

Pretty great experience. It's fast cheap and does the job. Food is pretty good, they have a vegan burger (for $7) and a few picnic tables. Great experience !

Ordered a double cheeseburger. It was great-tasting. Nice tasting bun and good balance of ingredients. The fries were well-seasoned and are excellent. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get. It's a walk-up window and no indoor seating. There were about three or four picnic benches/tables for sidewalk sitting but that's it. I want to try their breakfast burritos but they don't open until 11am which is near lunch time???

    Happy platter.

Somewhere in DTLA where you can get good, fast, and reasonably priced food? GLORY BURGER! My wife has been telling me about this place for a few weeks so we finally walked over and I don't at all regret giving this place a shot. Glory Burger isn't a restaurant, it's a window with some tables and that's pretty cool to me. The menu here isn't huge, but like, it's burger spot so it doesn't even need to be. I ordered the backyard burger which comes with candied bacon, smoked gouda cheese, onion rings, and some BBQ sauce as well as splitting sides of french fries and onion rings (different than the ones on the burger). The food didn't take too long to come out and it was all fresh and hot when it was served. The onion rings were simple shoestring fries, the onion rings were the beer battered variety which I like, and the backyard burger was pretty dang tasty if you ask me. The real highlight of this review here is the pricing. The burger was like $5.80 and each of the sides were only $3.95 and that's pretty good these days, even cheaper then a fast food meal. Overall, Glory Burger better be here to stay! The food was great, the staff was good, and it's nice to just order from a window and sit outside sometimes. I'll definitely be returning to this spot!

First time at Glory Burger. It's just a windows with 3 picnic benches and 1 cafe table. The ambiance is DTLA streets. I ordered a double Cheese Burger no onion, my friend got a Backyard Burger and my other friend got a double Glory Burger. Between the 3 of us we got regular fries and Sweet potato fries. The burgers were all good. I would recommend making it a double since the bun is a bit bigger than the burger. The bun is really good! Between the fries and Sweet potato fries I would go Sweet Potato next time. The regular fries are thin fries with seasoned salt and although not bad, a bit salty. We had a bit of a incident. There was a burger mix up with one of my friends' food and some other customer. She ordered before me and 5 other people but everyone else got their food before her. They eventually called her name and handed her a bag of food, but when she took a bite of her burger it wasn' what she ordered. She was disappointed because she waited so long and her food was given to someone else, but she went up to the counter and let them know and they made her another one. Other than her food taking 20min, everything else went well.

Usually never post reviews however, I ordered the Double Cheeseburger along with a Hard Cider and it has been one of THE best burgers I've ever eaten. Very well done Glory Burger However I tried calling to ask if nuts are in the cheesecake I ordered and no one answered the phone. Doesn't look like it, but you can't ever be too careful.

I was walking around after my paternity test. I stumbled around this place. I would recommend it. I got a double cheese burger it was pretty juice. The only thing I would say it's a little oily but other than that so good. There are no restrooms and a few tables def would come again in I'm back in Cali

I ordered Glory Burger on Grubhub for lunch because I've driven past their location so many times and have been told it was really good. I ordered the Backyard Burger and a side of fries. When it showed up, the packing was kinda meh; everything was just smashed into the white Glory Burger bag, so it didn't look super appetizing right out of the gate. The burger itself was solid and had great flavor. The brioche bun was complimented this burger so well; soft, a little sweet, and held together perfectly. I had ordered a double, so the patties were somewhere between juicy and dry, so right in that "eh, but still tasty" zone. Flavor was solid, just nothing wildly different from other bbq burgers I've had. Almost to the point that I really couldn't tell the difference. The fries were your classic shoestring style with some seasoning. Totally fine, nothing that's gonna change your life, but they worked well with the burger. Size-wise, the burger is a little small, but for the price, it's a fair deal and still filling. I'd come back (or order again) just to try some of the other burgers on the menu. This is a great, affordable, solid burger spot that is worth the money if your in the area.

I have random cheeseburger cravings and decided to check out Glory Burger. The staff is friendly. Price is budget-friendly and competitive with In-n-Out. It's great to have a friendly neighborhood burger joint in DTLA. Food was average. I like plain cheeseburgers with grilled onions only. If a burger is tasty plain with just cheese and patty, then it's good in my book. Glory Burger's cheeseburger was really bland without its sauce (I asked for sauce on the side bc I don't really saucy and wet burgers) and fries were overly seasoned and salty.

Do NOT order through Yelp/GrubHub. I repeat do NOT!!! order through Yelp/GrubHub. Go to their website: https://gloryburgerla.com/ and place your order there, which is technically via DoorDash: https://order.online/store/-32344665 On their website, a Backyard Burger is listed at $5.50 and sweet potato fries are $3.85 and that's exactly what I paid placing the order via their website/DoorDash (plus tip). Ordering via Yelp/GrubHub the Backyard Burger is $7.50 and sweet potato fries are $6.85 !!!! That's $5.00 more. Yelp/GrubHub just "stole" your soda money, or your second fries, or the server's tip money. Is it the best burger you ever ate? Of course not! It's a $5 burger (or $8 if you ignored me and still ordered through Yelp/GrubHub). But it IS a pretty damn good burger, and it certainly satisfied me. The sweet potato fries were also very good. Not super crispy (which is how I prefer them, but I overlooked the option to request them extra crispy), but they were NOT soggy, and only lightly seasoned, so they were still great. I ate over half the bag on my walk back to the office, so no, that is not "all the fries" you get. I did get just two ketchup packets (as others have noted) but I didn't even need them. The fries tasted great without ketchup. (I actually checked "No utensils or condiments" but they put them in anyway.) Again, not haute cuisine, but for $10 you cannot go wrong. Or $15 if you still ignored me and insisted on wasting your money and ordering through Yelp/GrubHub.

Heard the hype, saw the signs and stopped into a Glory Burger. The seasoned fries were great. The onion rings were soft and crispy and the onion fell apart on first bite. The house made brioche and burger were tasty. I need to try the other burger styles next time I visit. Everything we tried was flavourful. There was a lot of outdoor seating to eat and they are also open late. Service was nice and efficient, next time you're in the mood give Glory Burger a try.

Great burger and friendly staff! The patty is thick and seasoned. And the fries portion is generous

This spot opened about a year ago, and has a cool speakeasy style entrance at the Highland Park Bowl bowling alley. It is a small space, and I would highly recommend making a reservation on Resy. You have 90 minutes to drink and dine. I parked behind the bowling alley where there is a medium sized pay parking lot. Park in a space, remember your space number painted on the ground, and go to the pay station at the end of the lot. I found the parking machine to be extremely finicky as did other people. After ten minutes of failure, I ended up moving my car to another space, and then it worked. This has nothing to do with the Lucky Tiki, but FYI if you park there. We walked around to the front of the bowling alley, and checked in. Seating options include at the bar, tiki hut booths, and high top tables. The décor inside is a tiki lovers paradise. The room has a high ceiling with many tiki lamps, floats, puffer fish, tiki huts, thatch, ropes, barrels, netting, carvings, a hanging canoe, and a large tiki right in the middle of the space. In addition to the great décor, when you order certain drinks, special effects are triggered. There was also great tiki music playing all evening. We sat at the bar since we always enjoy talking to the bartenders. We actually ran into Skipper Christian in the parking lot on the way in, and he ended up being our main bartender, with Nick and Jo also working behind the bar. We put in a food order right away. The chicken potstickers ($12) came with five tasty bites, and the garlic teriyaki dipping sauce was good. We also had the giant pretzel ($16) which comes with mustard, beer cheese, and ranch sauces. This was excellent, and the perfect filling snack before a bunch of drinks. My first drink was the Siren's Song (Flor de Cana Eco rum, lemon juice, cassis, Oloroso sherry, apricot foam topper, $19). This drink is served in a great mermaid with skull mug and triggers special sound effects and bubbles fill the air. Those bubbles on top of the drink had a great light citrusy apricot flavor, probably the best flavored bubbles I've ever had. The drink itself was very good and balanced with some complexity. She wasn't sure what to order at first, and Christian asked her what flavors she liked. He ended up making a spin on a Tradewinds with some mango and pineapple to go along with the apricot and coconut. It was nicely balanced and not too sweet, even with all that fruit in there. My second drink was the Sun of Suns (Tierra de Acre mezcal, coconut cream, Giffard mango liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, $17). This was coconut and pineapple forward with some good smokiness in the background. Her second drink was the Whatever Floats Your Boat (Ford's gin, lemon juice, velvet falernum, orgeat, passion fruit syrup, guava soda, topped with hazelnut passion fruit foam, $19). It is served in a cool boat mug, and triggers thunder sound effects and lighted mechanical Polynesian tiki characters paddling a canoe over the bar. This was another good balanced drink. It was a little gin forward and the passion fruit popped out, maybe from being both in the drink and the foam top. That creamy hazelnut passion fruit form on top is delicious. I'd happily have a glass of that on its own. We were still a little hungry so we ordered the Hawaiian pizza (marinara, diced pepperoni, red onion, pineapple chunks, hot capicola ham, $16). It was another good tasting, perfectly sized snack, and the crust was light and airy. We were already fifteen minutes over our time limit, but we got the green light to stay longer to order a third drink to share. We ordered the Tiki Diablo (Flor de Cana Eco rum, Worthy Park 109 rum, Alma Tepecha chile liqueur, orange juice, lime juice, mango syrup, guava soda, $24). This drink serves two people, is served in a cool volcano bowl with glowing red lava around it, and comes with a fire show. Unfortunately, right after it was served, the host came over and said we were over our time and had to leave shortly. Christian made up for it by giving us two tall pours to go enjoy in the bowling alley bar area which was fine. We were happy we got some extra time inside. The drink was also very good, balanced with a little complexity. We had a great time. There is so much great décor to look at. The drinks and food were very good, and some of the the drink presentations and special effects were the icing on the cake. All of the bartenders were very friendly and a lot of fun. We purchased up a few zombie glasses to take home as a souvenir. I'd definitely recommend visiting the Lucky Tiki in Highland Park!

We decided to get a drink to celebrate Father's Day, only to strike out at the first two bars we tried--I guess a lot of places are closed at 9:30 on a Sunday. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process.
