Pretty great experience. It's fast cheap and does the job. Food is pretty good, they have a vegan burger (for $7) and a few picnic tables. Great experience !

Usually never post reviews however, I ordered the Double Cheeseburger along with a Hard Cider and it has been one of THE best burgers I've ever eaten. Very well done Glory Burger However I tried calling to ask if nuts are in the cheesecake I ordered and no one answered the phone. Doesn't look like it, but you can't ever be too careful.

First time at Glory Burger. It's just a windows with 3 picnic benches and 1 cafe table. The ambiance is DTLA streets. I ordered a double Cheese Burger no onion, my friend got a Backyard Burger and my other friend got a double Glory Burger. Between the 3 of us we got regular fries and Sweet potato fries. The burgers were all good. I would recommend making it a double since the bun is a bit bigger than the burger. The bun is really good! Between the fries and Sweet potato fries I would go Sweet Potato next time. The regular fries are thin fries with seasoned salt and although not bad, a bit salty. We had a bit of a incident. There was a burger mix up with one of my friends' food and some other customer. She ordered before me and 5 other people but everyone else got their food before her. They eventually called her name and handed her a bag of food, but when she took a bite of her burger it wasn' what she ordered. She was disappointed because she waited so long and her food was given to someone else, but she went up to the counter and let them know and they made her another one. Other than her food taking 20min, everything else went well.

I was walking around after my paternity test. I stumbled around this place. I would recommend it. I got a double cheese burger it was pretty juice. The only thing I would say it's a little oily but other than that so good. There are no restrooms and a few tables def would come again in I'm back in Cali

I ordered Glory Burger on Grubhub for lunch because I've driven past their location so many times and have been told it was really good. I ordered the Backyard Burger and a side of fries. When it showed up, the packing was kinda meh; everything was just smashed into the white Glory Burger bag, so it didn't look super appetizing right out of the gate. The burger itself was solid and had great flavor. The brioche bun was complimented this burger so well; soft, a little sweet, and held together perfectly. I had ordered a double, so the patties were somewhere between juicy and dry, so right in that "eh, but still tasty" zone. Flavor was solid, just nothing wildly different from other bbq burgers I've had. Almost to the point that I really couldn't tell the difference. The fries were your classic shoestring style with some seasoning. Totally fine, nothing that's gonna change your life, but they worked well with the burger. Size-wise, the burger is a little small, but for the price, it's a fair deal and still filling. I'd come back (or order again) just to try some of the other burgers on the menu. This is a great, affordable, solid burger spot that is worth the money if your in the area.

I have random cheeseburger cravings and decided to check out Glory Burger. The staff is friendly. Price is budget-friendly and competitive with In-n-Out. It's great to have a friendly neighborhood burger joint in DTLA. Food was average. I like plain cheeseburgers with grilled onions only. If a burger is tasty plain with just cheese and patty, then it's good in my book. Glory Burger's cheeseburger was really bland without its sauce (I asked for sauce on the side bc I don't really saucy and wet burgers) and fries were overly seasoned and salty.

Do NOT order through Yelp/GrubHub. I repeat do NOT!!! order through Yelp/GrubHub. Go to their website: https://gloryburgerla.com/ and place your order there, which is technically via DoorDash: https://order.online/store/-32344665 On their website, a Backyard Burger is listed at $5.50 and sweet potato fries are $3.85 and that's exactly what I paid placing the order via their website/DoorDash (plus tip). Ordering via Yelp/GrubHub the Backyard Burger is $7.50 and sweet potato fries are $6.85 !!!! That's $5.00 more. Yelp/GrubHub just "stole" your soda money, or your second fries, or the server's tip money. Is it the best burger you ever ate? Of course not! It's a $5 burger (or $8 if you ignored me and still ordered through Yelp/GrubHub). But it IS a pretty damn good burger, and it certainly satisfied me. The sweet potato fries were also very good. Not super crispy (which is how I prefer them, but I overlooked the option to request them extra crispy), but they were NOT soggy, and only lightly seasoned, so they were still great. I ate over half the bag on my walk back to the office, so no, that is not "all the fries" you get. I did get just two ketchup packets (as others have noted) but I didn't even need them. The fries tasted great without ketchup. (I actually checked "No utensils or condiments" but they put them in anyway.) Again, not haute cuisine, but for $10 you cannot go wrong. Or $15 if you still ignored me and insisted on wasting your money and ordering through Yelp/GrubHub.

Heard the hype, saw the signs and stopped into a Glory Burger. The seasoned fries were great. The onion rings were soft and crispy and the onion fell apart on first bite. The house made brioche and burger were tasty. I need to try the other burger styles next time I visit. Everything we tried was flavourful. There was a lot of outdoor seating to eat and they are also open late. Service was nice and efficient, next time you're in the mood give Glory Burger a try.

Great burger and friendly staff! The patty is thick and seasoned. And the fries portion is generous

Found this place by chance on a walk, and I've been coming back ever since. It's an affordable burger spot for downtown, and the people working there are great. I like their 'Backyard Burger'--it's savory, a little sweet, and has good BBQ sauce. While the 'Boss Burger' didn't quite hit the spot for me. It's also worth noting the fries taste unseasoned.

Really tasty cheeseburger and fries for $10. Probably one of the better burgers at this price point in the area. Service was friendly and efficient. Will be back!

Owner was amazinggg! Me and my best friend got the frozen margaritas I got strawberry and she got mango and they were 10/10 she even gave us another one on the house we also split some buffalo wings and they were soooo amazing will be back ASAP!!

Drinks: Really, really good. My absolute favorite was the boat drink with foam on top, but we split several others and I liked everything we tried. Vibe: Unmatched. There are several drinks on the menu with a theatrical presentation that gets the whole bar involved. The space is small, so you'll inevitably have your conversation interrupted by an alluring siren's call or some ceremonial rowers. This is a crucial part of the tiki experience for me. The bartenders all have their different spin and clearly are in it for the love of the game. We had a lot of fun chatting with the staff. Food: I ate 2 orders of soup dumplings and probably could have bodied down 5 more. They were ridiculously good, but prohibitively expensive.

Tiki cocktails have expanded beyond rum into smokier tequila and mezcal drinks, which are more my speed. Lucky Tiki takes planning. You'll probably need a reservation weeks ahead and yes, they'll politely kick you out after 2 hours. These drinks are delicious and designed to ruin your decision-making skills. Worth it. Uber home, obviously. This spot is "hidden" in a bowling alley, and inside you'll find retro lighting and decor and tiki cocktails. One drink came with bubbles, another arrived flaming, and one to a soundtrack of thunder and lightning. It's part cocktail bar, part performance, and the staff is committed to the bit. They have two LA locations, which helps if one is booked.

The sauce helped bring some juiciness back and balanced it out. The bluefin tuna bibimbap was pretty enjoyable. The tuna tasted fresh and the textures worked well together, but the dish could have used a little more seasoning to make the flavors pop. The perilla was a great touch though. It added a slightly minty flavor that complemented the tuna without taking over the dish. The beef short rib was easily the standout. PERFECTLY cooked, incredibly tender, and seasoned just right. The richness of the meat paired so well with the lettuce wraps that it almost feels like they should automatically come with the dish. Service was good and everything came out smoothly. It wasn't your typical corner haunt. There was an intentionality here that turned a simple evening out into a genuine education. The curation of spirits was nothing short of impressive, but what set the experience apart was the conversation. I arrived knowing the difference between a glass and a bottle, but left with a newfound appreciation for the nuances of rum, the craftsmanship behind a smooth whiskey, and the unexpected complexities hidden within a well-made vodka. Each pour came with a story, a history, and a level of expertise that transformed every sip into a lesson. The atmosphere was the perfect anchor for it all--utterly chill and devoid of the frantic, forced energy you find elsewhere. It was the kind of place where the music sits at just the right volume and the lighting invites you to actually linger. It was refreshing to find a spot that treats its craft with such respect while keeping the vibe completely grounded. I walked out feeling a little more cultured and a lot more relaxed. Consider this my official notice: I'll definitely be back.

From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've been transported somewhere else. Every room is thoughtfully designed, and the atmosphere is immersive and unlike anything we've experienced before. The storyteller was welcoming, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. I really enjoyed learning about the history of alcohol and the stories behind each tasting. The cocktails were definitely on the stronger side, but you could tell they were crafted with high-quality ingredients. Unfortunately, our experience was somewhat tainted by our hostess. She came across as impatient and unwelcoming, which set the tone early on. When we first entered, we were each handed a small glass of liquid, and then she immediately walked away without explaining what it was or what we were supposed to do with it. We assumed it was a welcome drink, so we all took a sip only to discover it was actually a palate cleanser. A little guidance would have gone a long way. The next room had a beautiful bayou-inspired setting. While the historical information was interesting, I found myself wishing the experience leaned more into the mystical or magical themes that the venue seems to promise. One thing worth mentioning is the restroom setup. I don't mind coed restrooms, but there was no signage explaining that the restroom is shared with two open stalls. Some guests may appreciate a heads-up, especially those who might feel uncomfortable or triggered by that arrangement. After the tastings, you're taken outside. A few of us stopped to use the restroom first, and when we returned, our friend had already left the table and all of our drinks had been cleared away. We were disappointed because we hadn't finished them. Our friend had been told she couldn't take the drinks with her, but when we returned we could take them outside. She was told that they'd be there when we got back. We were disappointed. The outdoor portion of the experience also felt a bit rushed. We barely had time to enjoy our drinks, let alone take photos of the beautiful space. The beignets at the end, however, were absolutely delicious and a highlight of the evening! Finally, we were escorted to the members-only bar, which was stunning. It gave off major Harry Potter vibes with its hidden, magical atmosphere. One of my friends was still finishing her drink on the patio since we couldn't legally walk on the sidewalk with it. Our hostess told us she'd come back for us but she never did. After waiting quite a while, another staff member happened to walk by and kindly helped us. Once inside, everything turned around again. The bartender was warm, friendly, and helped us choose drinks off the menu. I ordered the piña colada, and while it was much stronger and different from the traditional version I'm used to, it was absolutely delicious!!! Despite some service issues and inconsistent communication, I would still recommend Obscure. The concept is unique, the cocktails are excellent, and the venue is truly one of a kind. I'm hoping our hostess was simply having an off day, because with more attentive service, this experience could easily be five stars.

We decided to get a drink to celebrate Father's Day, only to strike out at the first two bars we tried--I guess a lot of places are closed at 9:30 on a Sunday. This is how we ended up at Thunderbolt, a buzzy bar in Echo Park, just far enough away that we'd never made our way over. I loved it immediately. Thunderbolt has the friendly, comfortable atmosphere of a neighborhood bar and the hip aesthetic and high-level cocktails of a millennial boozer destination. (Not that young people can't or shouldn't hang out here, but it seems especially geared toward people like us, who drank at Walker Inn a decade ago.) We ended up sitting next to a guy who regularly drives up from Palos Verdes. I guess the place gets pretty busy, but it was ideal on a Sunday night. Happening but not crowded, with just enough space at the bar for us to grab two seats together. The bartender was great, super helpful and welcoming. He also made excellent drinks. Thunderbolt is one of those bars with an encyclopedic illustrated book for a menu. Not a long menu, just a detailed one, with a lot of information available about each drink. We got a Liquid Picnic and a Barcelonnette--just one round to close out the weekend. Both were delicious. The Liquid Picnic was a smooth, savory gin martini made with London dry gin, tomato, citron, vermouth, rosemary, and black pepper. I learned from the book that it used clarified tomato water. (There was also further reading about the clarification process.) The Barcelonnette was a mezcal sour with Suze, passionfruit, and lime, the foam made without egg white through some geeky mixologist process. Thunderbolt is not our neighborhood bar, but we plan to go back when we can to check out the rest of the menu. It's a wonderful place, well worth a jaunt on the freeway.
