Jerk Chicken Rasta Pasta
Francis V.

I ordered the jerk chicken Rasta pasta. It comes with 5 drumettes. The chicken flavor was ok and the pasta was good but needed more sauce and vegetables (onion/bell pepper). My husband ordered the oxtail mac. The oxtails were a little tough for my liking. I don't know how the service and ambiance was because my husband picked up the food. I can say that the food was still really hot when he made it home.

Lamb chops over rice with potatoes and mac

I had this place last week. I was stunned by the delicious flavors. I had the lamb chops, mash potatoes, and mac n cheese. Everything was so well seasoned and packed with all kinds of love. I recommend everyone try this place. Lots of great food, and really cool vibes.

The food and service was amazing. Customer service was great good vibes and I really enjoyed myself if you're looking for a jerk food come here.

First time trying Jerk Chicken LA and I'm honestly confused.... Ima just say yall own me another plate 5.8/10

I saw the plates online and they looked nicely plated, sauced up, everything looking professional. That's literally what made me pull up and spend my money. But the plate I actually got? Man... this was not it. Presentation alone was rough. It didn't even look appetizing when I opened it. And when food doesn't look good to the eye, nine times out of ten it's not hitting the tongue either. Taste-wise I'm giving it a 5.8/10 at best. The cabbage was the only thing that was decent. For my first experience, this was disappointing because the food online looked way better than what was served. So look... Jerk Chicken LA, I'm keeping it real: Y'all owe me another plate. Let me run it back so I can see what the hype is actually about and give a fair review Because right now the marketing and the reality are two completely different plates

Cabbage

Pasta was creamy, spicy and perfectly cooked. The jerk drummettes were a tad bit tough. The cabbage was soggy and salty. I ordered Grub Hub delivery. The food was delivered by a guy on a bicycle. That my have affected the quantity. I wish I had experienced this food in the restaurant, so I could feel the vibe of the place and get entree suggestions.

Rasta Pasta is just Jerk Chicken on top of cooked pasta Penne. No creamy sauce or sauce at all. The cabbage was good.

Absolutely LOVE this place. The Mulberry is a very warm and intimate place where you can enjoy…read moremodern Korean comfort food. All dishes are carefully crafted with its colorful details, and its simple but bold flavors prepared for you through an open kitchen. This place gets busy the minute they open their doors so make reservations prior. 1. Korean Aguachile: fresh tilefish sashimi with finely sliced cucumber and white floral decor simmered in ice cold kimchee broth they pour at the table. Soooo good. Must order. 2. Soy Marinade Blue Prawn: My favorite dish of the night. Huge raw blue prawns (head attached) marinaded with soy sauce. Served with barley rice topped with Ssam jang (type of bean paste sauce), and seaweed paper. You wrap all ingredients in the seaweed paper to make a hand roll. Soooooo delicious. Can't walk out without trying this. 3. Beef short ribs: good but nothing unique in its flavoring . Beef steak(medium rare and super tender) that's lightly marinaded/glazed (so not overly sweet) with kbbq/short rib sauce. This is one of their fan favorites so I suggest you try it.. 4. Chilled Acorn Noodles: chewy cOLD noodles made with acorn (just like the acorn jelly side dish we eat). The noodles are seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu-jang (Gochujang paste), crispy cucumber slices, loads of dried seaweed flakes, and perilla oil. And you just mix them all together. Sooo good and paired well with the short ribs. Incredible. 5. Bluefin tuna and trout Bibimbop: like a poke bowl but so much better. Rice at the bottom with loads of lettuce strips, bluefin tuna sashimi, radish slices, and cavier. Seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu jang (Gochujang paste with a twist of vinegar). Very good as well. For drinks we tried the shikhye slush (shikhye is a Korean sweet rice drink dessert). They used a slushy shikhye base with warm cinnamon and ginger spices and pisco for a kick. Also tried the Sujinggwa manhattan which is sujunggwa (traditional Korean cinnamon ginger dessert tea served cold) and a single malt. This was fabulous. Overall fantastic experience. Fantastic food, cool ambiance's. And great service. Highly highly recommend this place!

Parking: street parking can be rough to find during peak dinner time on weekends but not bad early…read moreevening on weekdays Reservations: Limited availability on Resy makes it seem harder to get though we were able to make one. Tables looked available around 5pm though so walk-ins could be possible. Ambiance: Outside was nice and inside looked dimly lit and romantic. We were seated promptly and service was good. Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

Also tried their pizzas--really solid, and they have gluten-free options. Ivan was our waiter, super nice, and the food came out fast. We were in and out in like 30 minutes (we do eat fast though). Definitely coming back for the burger and to try more of the menu.

You know when places aren't worth the hype and you're totally let down?? You won't be let down…read morehere!! Beginning to end it was exquisite. The attention to detail was insane even from the floral elevator that takes you up to the silver etched with Dior. The ambiance was gorgeous and the service was impeccable. Service was so attentive to our friend's dietary restrictions and let us know of the accommodations they could make. FYI they cook with a lot of alcohol not a lot as in it tastes boozy but a lot in that it's in a lot of the sauces. But the food itself was excellent the mushroom consommé was a masterpiece both aesthetically and gastronomically. I also had the abalone which was cooked perfectly so that it wasn't rubbery. It was way out of my comfort zone but delicious. I almost forgot they set the tone with the amuse buche which was like a floral pickle chip? I don't know how to describe it other than it was BEAUTIFUL and tasted like a dill chip. The whole experience was fascinating and a great place to people watch. Can't wait to go again. Be sure to dress to impress as there was no shortage of Hermes and Dior around.
