We were parked on Figueroa Street and decided to save some money by walking to this restaurant. The food was so good and filling, with me having some delicious Hummus and Pita Bread while my friend had kabobs. Service seemed slow, but the food was fresh, so well worth the wait. Nothing to write home about the area or the atmosphere, as this is more an eat and run type of restaurant, with many workers only getting a half hour lunch. Next time, I would call ahead and just pick it up...

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! It's a small fast food kind of establishment. Food was solid and service was very fast. We ordered the chicken kabob plate and the beef shawarma wrap, both of which were quite good. I wish the beef shawarma was a little softer but otherwise it was good. There is a limited time offer for BOGO wraps but we sadly didn't see it until after we had ordered.

Food is just ok. It used to be better. Today it seemed somewhat dry. The shawarma plate includes a generous portion. I do not recommend the shawarma fries. The service is ok and the ambiance is very casual. There is a kiosk tablet to order on your own.

The last time I visited this location was about 3+ years ago and it was called Z falafel. I see that it's still Mediterranean food but now it's (rebranded???) to killer kabab and it looks like z falafel moved to another location. Both their websites look the same. Sad to say but quality is not the same and the portions were like half of what I remembered from my last visit. Flavor of the meat was super light, did not really taste much seasoning. I don't see myself coming back. The place was clean and the service was quick.

Came here because the reviews were really good, and I left disappointed and underwhelmed. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap. The photos made it look extremely appealing, however what I received was not anything like what was advertised. The Chicken Shawarma is supposed to have fries in it and there was literally only two fries in my wrap, the chicken was dry, the wrap was dry, there was hardly any sauce on it, and the flavor was extremely underwhelming. The lady that assisted me with ordering also prepared the meal and the customer service was equivalent to what I was served.

We chose this place because dude it was walking distance from our other event so we wouldn't have to re-park. It was clean and bright. The staff were friendly. You order on a tap screen which is easy enough and they bring bout the good. I requested water which they provided but they had no ice. The shawerma fries were ok though the fries were not crisp, the salmon plate was ok though the rice tasted bland, the chicken kabab wrap was ok though the pickles in it had a strange texture. The best items we tried were the grape leaves and the garlic sauce that accompanied the food. The food was satisfying though not the best Mediterranean food I've had.

I ordered to go and the food was tasteless. Not worth the $20 for the mixed shawarma. You can skip this one. It does come with rice and a pita.

Had the pleasure of visiting @zfalafel8 during my work lunch hour for their delicious Chicken Shawarma and Chicken Kabob ! It was served with pita, hummus, rice, pickled veggies, and falafel on this aesthetic square plate! Just take a look at these platings!! They have two locations in Downtown LA so if you're nearby make sure to visit your closest location. My coworker Alexis and I are huge fans of Mediterranean food so we devoured our meals! We still had food leftover so we were able eat more for dinner!! location #1 806 W 8th St Unit A Los Angeles, CA 90017 location #2 725 S Hill St Los Angeles, CA 90014 FEATURING-- Chicken Shawarma Chicken Kabob

I was really disappointed with this plate. The rice tasted like Mexican rice. The hummus was watery. The chicken was moist but was flavorless. From the whole plate only the salad and pita was okay to me. You do get a lot of food but to me it's really lacking middle Eastern flavor.

Not too shabby. A lot better than I anticipated. There wasn't anyone in there when I went in for dinner around 8pm which in my head is never a good sign. But it did make the process quick and the wait wasn't long. The place is bright and looks pretty clean. They had nice green seats and pretty standard square tables including one for those who operate a wheelchair. The two workers seemed pleasant and didn't seem annoyed that I took my time to order. I ended up going with the mixed veggies plate for 16 dollars not including tax or tip. The food like I said was not too bad. Falafels were a tad dry but I assume it's because it was the end of the night. Veggie Combo Plate came with Falafel, Hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Salad, Grape Leaves, Tabouli, and Pita Bread. A good combo. Would have been a four star place if the falafel were a bit dry. That I assume is the signature dish since the name of the business has falafel in it. Would go back again but not as they close to see if it would different which I honestly think it will be.

Hands down the worst sandwich I've ever had. Calling this a shawarma is an insult to the dish.

Chicken Shwarma wrap is too small. Not even a kids meal. Even two wraps isn't a meal. And it isn't quite that tasty either.

When we arrived the host was friendly and walked us over to our table with a smile. Then our server came over and let me tell she was the most happy and friendliest server that we have ever experienced in our dining experience. Marlene approached us with "happy Friday" and spark up a quick conversation of why we were visiting. She made us feel welcomed immediately and excited about being there. We had a few questions about the menu and she was able to guide us through the menu with ease. She recommended things we hadn't tried before and for every dish that came out she would tell us the best way the chef would like us to enjoy them. I mean the service was impeccable. She was super sweet with my mother who is a bit older and sometimes is indecisive with food and drinks. But she was so patient with her and sweet to help her choose a wine and items on the menu that she end up loving. My mother couldn't stop talking about her on the way home. Every dish that came to our table was amazing and the drinks were super tasty. Hummus, crudo, prawns and dorado are a must. At the end we trusted her to choose dessert for us. The cashew bar and donuts nuts were the best way to end our dining experience. Overall, if you are looking for great food and amazing service this is the place to come.

The restaurant has a really homey feeling inside, with about four small tables that make it feel cozy and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. Hermon helped recommend our food, cooked it, and even served us. She was so kind and made the whole experience feel really personal. She also offered us complimentary baklava, which was amazing. It had the most soft, chewy texture with just enough sweetness. When I asked her what the secret ingredient was, she just smiled and said she couldn't spoil it so you'll have to try it for yourself! The soltani kabob was to die for; the flavors in the beef barg and koobideh were so rich and cooked to perfection. The mastery of these dishes was absolutely on display. The mast moosir was a great creamy and savory side dish to complement the entrees. I HAD to get the tahdig (crispy rice) too! I also had a bit of the lamb shank which was really flavorful, tender, and paired perfectly with the baghali polo. The yogurt soda was a bit of an acquired taste for me, but I'm happy to have tried it for the full experience. We finished off our delicious meal with a floral and sweet Persian ice cream wafer sandwich. The portions were enormous, so we left feeling full with leftovers to look forward to! We came on a lively weekday evening. They don't do reservations, but we were warmly greeted and quickly seated with lavash and butter on our table immediately. The restaurant has a beautiful and romantic atmosphere, with hybrid indoor/outdoor courtyard dining. Our waiter was attentive and made us feel very welcomed. I'd give this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could!
