This is literally the best Indian food I have ever . They are experts at dialing in the spice to your liking. I have been unable to tolerate spicy food, while my husband prefers medium spice. Both of our meals were perfect. My dish, Aloo Matar, was not spicy at all but full of delicious flavor. I got the box with the rice pudding, soup, rice and naan. My husband did the same with butter chicken. The portions were huge and we got two full meals each. We just moved into the neighborhood and stopped into this family owned business craving Indian food. Everyone was friendly, and they have a large menu with lots of vegan & vegetarian options. My husband loved his buttered chicken so much he was licking the sauce with dog his plate! I can't wait to get takeout from here again. This spot is awesome. So excited about it.
I just received my order via delivery and there was a metal staple in my dish (see photo). I know my food was not tampered with during delivery because the paper bag arrived stapled shut and untampered. This is a toxic health hazard - I could have eaten that staple if I had not seen it and /or the dish was cooked with heat with a metal staple in it where that itself could be toxic from heated metal toxins leaking into the food. Never had anything this crazy happen with my food before. This place needs a health inspection.
Was almost going to have a good experience. Ria was nice and patient. I had food restrictions because of my diet. Upon leaving, the lady that I took a picture told me to take the trash outside the building to the streets. Respectfully I did spend money to eat here, it was rude gesture to have me spend money here and have to throw anything outside to the streets. Then she called me stupid and to get out. I regret purchasing anything from here. I never made any disrespectful remarks nor was I being rude at any point. This should not be tolerated. I eat food in the area, this is disrespect to my mine and money. I wanted to like this place but morally speaking it's not worth coming if this is how they treat strangers. I hope people are aware that this kind of activity is going in this business. Love supporting local businesses but my time and money have value and it would not be spent here. She claimed to be the manager. food wise: very important details to consider- just because it's vegan/ doesn't mean it healthy. I had the vegetable potato Samosa - it's deep fried with canola oil (extremely processed oil) consuming oils like these make vegan/vegetarian options unhealthy. It's almost like eating a McDonald chicken nugget. Not saying this in a negative tone, just sharing honest thoughts. The potato was bland, typically with food like this, spices sometimes make up for the dish but unfortunately it didn't. Just a potato deep fried with bread. Lentil soup- had a broth feel to it, it also lacked taste and flavor. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great either. This is important because when it's a lentil soup something has to stand out about it, it's a healthier option so the taste makes up for the dish being a healthy. Upon asking, they also add canola oil to this soup. ((Not as much as the other foods on the menu, but still heavy and that gets people bloated) they should consider making foods with coconut oil. The place did seem to be clean. But people make the build what it is)
Right next to the hotel and I decided to try it for a late lunch. I ordered the tandoori shrimp meal which is tandoori shrimp, lentil soup, rice, naan and rice pudding. The server let me know that tandoori takes longer to make which was fine with me. I was not in a rush. The lentil soup came first. It was not bad, a good start. Then the rice and naan came out with an accompanying sauce. I don't know what sauce it was and didn't ask. Maybe palak soup? Anyways I used it to add flavor to the rice and naan. The shrimp tandoori came out on a sizzling platter. The meal was fine. Filling and the tandoori shrimp was good. The rice didn't have a lot of taste by itself and the naan too. Maybe a curry would have been good with them. The rice pudding was ok. The restaurant is simple and clean with Christmas lights on a pole in the middle where the servers worked from. And a photo of with the words 'Don't worry, eat curry.' Funny. The lights are pretty. Service is average. Good for a solid meal close by to the Hotel Figueroa.
This spot is alright! The best part is its proximity to many attractions in DTLA, if you're attending something in the area. Try to find either street parking if you're lucky, or paid parking in a garage/lot nearby. The service was good, the room was spacious, and the food was decent. Not the best and not the worst.
Best Indian Food I've had! Quality ingredients, great flavor. The naan....absolutely DELICIOUS! The service was fantastic and I even enjoyed their playlist! Highly recommend!
This was my first time trying Indian food & it didn't disappoint. The service was great & the food was very tasty, everything came out fresh. The combo plates are VERY big, you can definitely split between two people FYI. I got two combos and we took a lot of leftovers home. I will be back!

I ordered from here tonight through Uber Eats and ordered 2 tikka masala and vegetable samosas. My chicken WAS RAW! I'm so disgusted, I threw up immediately after I saw this, I feel sick to my stomach. This has never happened to me! I hope the manager of this restaurant reaches out to me and explain to me HOW THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED. This is dangerous and unacceptable and completely irresponsible as a restaurant! This is making me sick! It's not even partially cooked or a little pink, it's as if someone grabbed a handful of raw chicken and just threw it in tikka masala sauce! Genuinely WTF
The food here was delicious! I was on Uber Eats and wanted to try something different from what I usually eat, and this place caught my eye. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was nice and tender, and the flavours were so good and savory. I also got some naan, and it was soft and nicely coated with garlic and basil. The serving size is a good portion, too, at least it was for me. I got full with half of it and had to save it for tomorrow, although, since it was really good, I wanted to keep eating despite being full Both were great, and I would order from here again!

The worst Indian food I've ever eaten. Raw masala. Chicken curry is watery and tasteless. There are raisins in biryani. Called the restaurant, they swore at us and said we had no idea what Indian food was (my husband is Indian btw).
Was looking for a gluten-free, dairy-free lunch near the LA Convention Center and decided on this place. The dining room was empty - - I'm guessing they do more take out. Service was slow but food was delicious.

The chicken was good. * Side items 3/5 - Rice was kinda dry 2/5. Lentil Soup tasted herby and kinda bitter 1/5. Rice Pudding was yummy 4/5. * Garlic Naan 3.5/5 - More plain than garlicky. If you're in the area for a game of any sort this place is within walking distance of the Staple Center/Crypto Arena whatever you prefer to call it ;) It is a cute, well decorated restaurant. The naan and samosas was delicious, the chicken tikka masala was good but light on the spice for my palette. I would order it no lower than Medium spice level. I'd be back to try other dishes when I'm early for a game. read more

Delivery: Uber Eats Order: * Veggie samosa - I didn't think I wanted the whole thing so I asked my fiancée to split it in half for me. After I tasted the flaky outside and the warm middle with the chutney I ended up going back and eating the rest! So it was good :) on Uber eats I got a BOGO on the samosa, so it was an even better deal * Butter Chicken - best one i'be had in a long time. Not many places around here serve butter chicken anymore. We got it w medium spice and the spice level had a great kick. This time my fiancée was the one that went back for seconds. He doesn't normally do that LOL. We were scraping the sauce up w the naan. I do want to see the difference between this and the masala. I will try that next time. * Saag Paneer - really good as well! Spice levels were also on point. The saag had a nice thicker consistency. Took me a couple of sittings to finish this one (dinner and lunch the next day) Portion size is great for the price. read more

I've already had the pinnacle of Indian Food, which is "Lal Mirch," in Studio City. So any other Indian Food I try, is always a risk. Thus, I'm happy that his place did not disappoint and was absolutely a great value for my money. I also loved that the menu on postmates had descriptions and pictures of everything, which made it very easy to choose items. I got rice pudding, veggie samosas, lamb samosas, pulao rice, lentil soup, plain naan, garlic basil naan, raita, a la carte chana saag, and chicken tikka masala for only $45. I'll literally have lunch for the next four days (I'm pretty sure I could feed a small army with everything I got). Now let's break it down: chicken tikka masala: Sauce was on point for sure, there is a good amount of chicken, could be a little more moist, but still loved it raita: very good, no complaints chana saag: good (I feel like saag is never really a stand out dish anywhere so there is not much to say about it) garlic basil naan: good, but not as good as "Lal Mirch". With "Lal Mirch" the bread is less thick, which is nice, and you can taste the garlic and seasoning on top. With this bread it's harder to taste the garlic on it. lamb samosas: good (not amazing, but not bad either) rice pudding: needs cinnamon and nutmeg and love. it just taste kinda like milk. so it's not very special. mint chutney and bbq sauce: just fine. Lal Mirch has the best bbq and chutney, and this place doesn't even come close. the bbq sauce just needs a lot more dimension (tamarind?) and just love. this is a big missed opportunity because the sauce can make or break a samosa Lal Mirch is the best, but I'd say, since I don't live in Studio City anymore, I'll probably order from here again because it was very convenient and there weren't any major hiccups with any of the flavors. read more
