The seating area is small, and the second floor was especially uncomfortable because the AC appeared to be turned off despite it being July. The dark décor upstairs also made the space feel more like a dungeon than a restaurant. The water was served warm, and we weren't given utensils until we asked for them. If you plan to visit, avoid going after 8:00 PM, as several menu items may already be sold out. The food is genuinely worth trying, but great food alone isn't enough to make for a great dining experience. If the expectation is to enjoy good food without decent service or a comfortable environment, I'd rather cook at home

This restaurant has been pretty much empty since it opened, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and finally try it. Unfortunately, the food was nowhere near authentic Indian food. I ordered the tikka masala and palak paneer. Both dishes were incredibly bland and tasted like they were missing a ton of spices and seasoning. I'd honestly give the food a 3/10. Then I ordered a mango lassi, and somehow they managed to mess that up too. It was terrible. I don't understand how you mess up a mango lassi, but they put whipped cream and some kind of red berry sauce on top, which made absolutely no sense. 0/10. Another thing that really bothered me was the older gentleman hosting. He was coughing uncontrollably throughout my visit and repeatedly wasn't covering his mouth. Given that he was working in a restaurant and interacting with customers, I found that extremely unpleasant and honestly pretty disgusting. My total was $90 for two small plates and a yogurt-based mango drink. If you actually want authentic, flavorful Indian food, go up the street to Badmaash. You can spend around $130 there and get significantly more food, way more flavor, and dishes that are actually delicious and worth the money.

When we came in, because we were late to our reservation with parking being a factor we were told there was valet outside the restaurant but didnt see signage or an attendant. But they said they do have valet! Our host and server were wonderful and honestly kicked my review from a 4 star to a 5 star. I am a vegetarian and my 2 friends are not. The DineLA menu was very versatile and I appreciated the vegetarian options provided for me for that menu (since a lot of places this year were not as accommodating). I am beating myself up for not remembering our host and servers names but they were absolutely fantastic!! (Working thr evening of 8/25!) I love Indian food because I love love love spicy food and the flavors and they had Thai chili peppers which is always a treat for me. The ambiance of the restaurant feels like next level luxury. The women's bathroom is literally the nicest restaurant restroom I have ever stepped foot into! The cocktails were delicious and works of art. The Canape was delicious, I then ordered the Avocado bhel, paneer masala (extra extra spicy), and amongst all 3 of us we ordered all 3 desserts to share. It was an amazing DineLA experience and I would definitely come back to dine here again!

And thank the lords that I went with a group so we could try a bunch of different bites~ I will start off by saying that I truly cannot understand some of the haterade or strong dislike comments that talk about lack of flavor because genuinely every dish we tried was flavorful and overall pretty darn delicious. The spice level was actually a bit high for some of my friends but really hit that perfect mild-moderate heat for me. We ordered the dosa onion rings, piri piri fries, paneer parm sandwich, the bbq wings (for my omni friends), the malai rigatoni, and the green chile chutney pizza. We were hungry as a group of 4 but I will admit we had a few bites left at the end that we could not finish. Honestly everything was delicious but the standouts were the piri piri fries and the paneer parm sandwich. The fries came out hot, crispy, so well seasoned with both ketchup and raita dipping sauces; ugh I can't help but love a good potato! The paneer parm sandwich was such a thick, indulgent slab of fried paneer with melted cheese and chutney, chef's kiss would absolutely get again. The dosa onion rings were so true to their name because you could absolutely taste the dosa batter on the outside; it was a tad difficult to bite/cut but otherwise also very solid. The mango chutney that it came with hit and this is coming from a girl who usually doesn't like sweet chutneys. The green chile chutney pizza was sooo tasty; good fusion between a classic pizza and I love green chutney so could it get better than this? We tried both alcoholic and N/A drinks and they were delicious! The tandoori spritz was A+ imo. The interior is bright and it's fun to really hit a sports bar with such an eclectic fusion of foods. It was interesting to see the variety of sports they had on each TV too. Even with the small comment on service below, this place deserves a 5/5 and I would totally return. Prices are very fair for quality, esp in this economy. Service was...interesting. Friendly overall, checked in on us when first items were dropped off, but not again. When we were ordering, we wanted to be mindful of portions/quantity so we asked for some guidance and were essentially told "well I don't believe in restricting myself and you guys are all adults so you should order what you want." Totally understand the energy and intention, but did find it rather unhelpful as we were visiting from out of town and had no place to store leftovers. I understand the role of server when it comes to upselling, but it was a really strange interaction when we were already ordering quite a bit.

The tables are so close together in the dining room you'd can feel the person next to you exhale on one side, On the other, a woman with a terribly affected glottal stop voice was piercingly annoying... not a problem of the restaurant, but the fact she was so close she could eat off our plate was dismaying. $29 for macaroni with a bit of lamb in it was flavorful. A bit of crunch from what seemed like tiny bits of pickled carrot. The $27 Green Tiki masala pizza just seemed like a slightly more flavorful sausage pizza with a crispy parm crust. The onion rings at the table on one side looked good. The soft serve ice cream at the other also looked yummy. Don't come here if you are looking for a healthy meal with nutritional value. But if you want a snack while watching a game, there are so many screens to choose from. A happening bar scene, but won't be back for the food.
