We ordered a kabab platter and garlic naans. Chicken tikka and chicken tandoori were ok, a bit burned but nothing too bad. The lamb was a disaster. There was a single lamb piece which was tough as nails. Either old meat reheated or some other. I love lamb chops and too disappointed. Luckily I did not order lamb chops, it would have been money down the drain. The server was courteous however. The restaurant was empty at 9pm on a Sunday night. I guess it is kinda away from the major tourist spots. I didn't try any curry there so this review is only for their tandoori platter.

We ordered three different dishes, apparently in three different shades of disappointment. The naan was too salty and missing the fluffy pockets I love. The palak paneer and masala were pastel colored and tasted heavy on cream, light on spices. I wasn't looking for a five-alarm fire, just evidence that seasoning had participated. And I'm typically sensitive to spice and heat! My husband got food poisoning afterward. I can't confirm the cause, but it certainly didn't improve the experience. The whole family was disappointed. The only thing this meal brought to the table was consensus: we won't be ordering again.

I could make a meal out of dipping the naan bread into the tikka masala sauce, but I also really like their chickpea salad and samosas. This last time, I discovered their garlic noodles, which left me wondering if I could recreate them at home--or if they were on the takeout menu. Our server was friendly and kept checking in on us. The restaurant has been around for years, but it feels well maintained and clean. Honestly, one of the reasons I don't eat here more often is because I have a tendency to overeat when I do. That probably says more about the food than anything else.

The DineLA menu was very versatile and I appreciated the vegetarian options provided for me for that menu (since a lot of places this year were not as accommodating). I am beating myself up for not remembering our host and servers names but they were absolutely fantastic!! (Working thr evening of 8/25!) I love Indian food because I love love love spicy food and the flavors and they had Thai chili peppers which is always a treat for me. The ambiance of the restaurant feels like next level luxury. The women's bathroom is literally the nicest restaurant restroom I have ever stepped foot into! The cocktails were delicious and works of art. The Canape was delicious, I then ordered the Avocado bhel, paneer masala (extra extra spicy), and amongst all 3 of us we ordered all 3 desserts to share. It was an amazing DineLA experience and I would definitely come back to dine here again!

The seating area is small, and the second floor was especially uncomfortable because the AC appeared to be turned off despite it being July. The dark décor upstairs also made the space feel more like a dungeon than a restaurant. The water was served warm, and we weren't given utensils until we asked for them. If you plan to visit, avoid going after 8:00 PM, as several menu items may already be sold out. The food is genuinely worth trying, but great food alone isn't enough to make for a great dining experience. If the expectation is to enjoy good food without decent service or a comfortable environment, I'd rather cook at home

And thank the lords that I went with a group so we could try a bunch of different bites~ I will start off by saying that I truly cannot understand some of the haterade or strong dislike comments that talk about lack of flavor because genuinely every dish we tried was flavorful and overall pretty darn delicious. The spice level was actually a bit high for some of my friends but really hit that perfect mild-moderate heat for me. We ordered the dosa onion rings, piri piri fries, paneer parm sandwich, the bbq wings (for my omni friends), the malai rigatoni, and the green chile chutney pizza. We were hungry as a group of 4 but I will admit we had a few bites left at the end that we could not finish. Honestly everything was delicious but the standouts were the piri piri fries and the paneer parm sandwich. The fries came out hot, crispy, so well seasoned with both ketchup and raita dipping sauces; ugh I can't help but love a good potato! The paneer parm sandwich was such a thick, indulgent slab of fried paneer with melted cheese and chutney, chef's kiss would absolutely get again. The dosa onion rings were so true to their name because you could absolutely taste the dosa batter on the outside; it was a tad difficult to bite/cut but otherwise also very solid. The mango chutney that it came with hit and this is coming from a girl who usually doesn't like sweet chutneys. The green chile chutney pizza was sooo tasty; good fusion between a classic pizza and I love green chutney so could it get better than this? We tried both alcoholic and N/A drinks and they were delicious! The tandoori spritz was A+ imo. The interior is bright and it's fun to really hit a sports bar with such an eclectic fusion of foods. It was interesting to see the variety of sports they had on each TV too. Even with the small comment on service below, this place deserves a 5/5 and I would totally return. Prices are very fair for quality, esp in this economy. Service was...interesting. Friendly overall, checked in on us when first items were dropped off, but not again. When we were ordering, we wanted to be mindful of portions/quantity so we asked for some guidance and were essentially told "well I don't believe in restricting myself and you guys are all adults so you should order what you want." Totally understand the energy and intention, but did find it rather unhelpful as we were visiting from out of town and had no place to store leftovers. I understand the role of server when it comes to upselling, but it was a really strange interaction when we were already ordering quite a bit.

The tables are so close together in the dining room you'd can feel the person next to you exhale on one side, On the other, a woman with a terribly affected glottal stop voice was piercingly annoying... not a problem of the restaurant, but the fact she was so close she could eat off our plate was dismaying. $29 for macaroni with a bit of lamb in it was flavorful. A bit of crunch from what seemed like tiny bits of pickled carrot. The $27 Green Tiki masala pizza just seemed like a slightly more flavorful sausage pizza with a crispy parm crust. The onion rings at the table on one side looked good. The soft serve ice cream at the other also looked yummy. Don't come here if you are looking for a healthy meal with nutritional value. But if you want a snack while watching a game, there are so many screens to choose from. A happening bar scene, but won't be back for the food.

This time we went for dinner and there were little lamplights and it was dim, intimate and so nice. Only thing I would say about this place is it's a little expensive for the quantity they give you. But the taste is really good. Bombay Sangria- I was curious about the tamarind but also a bit wary of it. It tasted so good! One of my fav cocktails. It tastes almost like a spiced fruity red wine. Mac and cheese pakoras- I want to say this is one thing you should not skip here Dosa quesadilla- WOW. Especially with the tomato chutney. Sambhar didn't hit the same, but it's still decent. Verde masala enchilada- pretty decent, not as awesome as the others. If you enjoy an Indian type of enchilada, you'll enjoy it. I wonder how it would be with tamarind sauce. Spiced lamb- good if you like chewy lamb. Otherwise I would recommend the spiced sheekh kabab. Malai Kofta- pleasant and creamy! Garlic naan- sooooo good Gulab jamun- honestly one of the best gulab jamuns I've had! Rasmalai cheesecake- this one is like a tres leches, it hits! We tried a mix of dishes and everything was super flavorful. The tandoori (Indian-style BBQ cooked in a clay oven) had a really nice smoky flavor, and the meats were juicy and well-seasoned. The cheesy garlic naan was a standout -- soft, buttery, and honestly something I would come back for on its own. The curries like the chana masala and saag were rich without feeling too heavy, and I appreciated that they have a lot of vegan and gluten-free options. My favorite had to be the samosas -- crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned inside. They also have a full bar, and the mango lassi was refreshing and paired really well with the meal.
