Garlic Naan

Excellent customer service! Friendly staff, flavorful food -- i personally love how they didn't hold back on the spice for the curry goat.

Super friendly staff! I see why this place has such a high rating. Authentic and quality food, good pricing, and the best of all- such a fun and friendly team of staff. They welcome you as their community, take orders with care, and make sure you like your food. It was like eating at a dine-in high end restaurant as they come around to the table, making sure everything is well and introducing me who made my food. Plenty of parking as well.

My friend brought curry in hurry to my place. I asked him to get me a garlic naan, which was really good. He let me eat some of his goat curry, which was phenomenal, and another red curry with chicken in it, which may be tikka masala. That was really good too. I think if you go here, you definitely need to eat the curry with the garlic naan because it just pairs really well. From being on FaceTime, it seemed that the staff was super friendly. I'm not really sure I can say much about the ambiance though, as I didn't eat there directly. They did give my friend samples to try out though, so that's always a plus!

I come here all the time super friendly people amazing food great value and most importantly super delicious

If you're looking for flavorful, quick Indian food in Los Angeles, Curry in Hurry is a great place to consider. The menu offers a wide variety of classic dishes, and the food is consistently fresh and satisfying. Popular picks like chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan, with generous portions.

This spot is a hidden gem! For a one entree takeout with rice and naan it was $12 with tax!! Service is quick when ordering and scooping the food. Ambiance is Smaller inside but there's a parking lot! Mostly to go!! Clean inside

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got a chance to this past weekend. I ordered the two item combo with chicken tikka masala and palak paneer. The two item comes with rice AND naan (I upgraded to garlic naan) and came out to around $16. The garlic naan was well worth the upgrade and they give you two generously sized pieces that were perfect to dip with the curries. The chicken tikka masala was pretty good and nice and creamy. I haven't had palak paneer in quite a long time and this one definitely hit the spot. Before I knew it, I had eaten all of my naan and almost all of my curry, while barely touching my rice. They just give you such a big serving of naan that the rice wasn't needed to enjoy the curry and I saved it for my lunch the next day. I love that this place has quick service and that you get your food right away so there's little wait if you're hungry. I'll definitely be coming back.

Good portions, very affordable, very friendly customer service. I expected the food to be more flavorful than it was. I ordered the goat curry and it was ok and the dhal was also just ok. I don't get the high reviews but maybe I happened to go on an off day. There's a small parking lot.

Chicken tikka masala

I stumbled across this gem, and told them if this chicken tikka masala is good, i'll be back! It was better than i expected, and I'm a huge fan of chicken tikka masala. And with a $7.99 bowl special, it was too inexpensive to pass up - it tasted as good as it looked. I also, got the garlic naan - amazing! I look forward to trying the whole menu, but for now, all i can say is the chicken tikka masala and rice bowl is FIREEEE!! I'm going back!

We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma and Butter Cheese Naan. They came out with Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma (did not notice this right away as it's all covered in sauce). I told the waitress that we were just waiting on the naan and she said that it's coming. She then proceeded to ask what kind of naan we want (so they weren't working on it). Once we started eating, we quickly realized that none of the dishes were lamb. We told our waitress and she was like oh no I'll bring you a lamb one. She didn't take the chicken one away or mention anything about paying for it. The food was pretty good overall so maybe a lot of good reviews are from delivery. When we were done, we asked for to go containers. They were gross and had white flecks/oily stuff all over them (just thinking about people that did delivery and had their food packed in those containers already...gross). They brought us different containers that were fine. The chef then came out and said he charged for the Chicken Korma (that we did not order) but didn't charge tax on it. Excuse me? First of all, if you even wanted to try to charge for that, you should've said something upfront. Second of all, you should never try to charge a customer for a mistake made by the kitchen. Will not return.

Dine In Review: My boyfriend and I stopped by on a whim and…read moreended up loving this place. We ordered the Vegetarian Lentil Soup, Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and samosas-everything came with rice and naan. The curries were incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of heat (especially if you enjoy a good spice level), and the chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was just as impressive. Our server was warm, attentive, and made the experience even better. Overall, a solid 10/10. We'll definitely be coming back!

Uber Eats Review:…read more The overall taste of the food was good and meets your craving. I have tasted some really good Indian food and this one is just good. The naan bread was thin and more crunchy than soft for my liking. I also feel like the portion of bread they give is not a lot compared to other restaurants. It's only 1 piece for the price that they charge. However I am aware that prices on Uber Eats are higher. The Chicken tikka masala was good. It had a nice spice level only thing is that this masala had a very very strong tomato flavor that I couldn't really taste the cream or other aromatics and spices as much. But it was still good especially when you are craving it. They gave a soup with the order since I ordered the meal for 2 deal on Uber Eats. I am not sure what the soup is called but it was just a simple chicken broth with veggies. I ordered the 2 piece Samosas and they were very yummy. Probably the best thing I ate from what I ordered. Overall the experience was good, they packaged the food in high quality containers which The portion was okay but the price in my opinion was a bit high, but that is normal when ordering on these apps. I think this place is one of the better Indian spots closest to my home. I think I would order the food again but maybe just go in person since the prices on Uber Eats are pretty high and I wonder if serving sizes are different at the restaurant.

I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area. Worth visiting if you want really good LA Indian food and haven't been spoiled by extraordinary SF Indian food.

We got the Lamb Dam Biriyani and the mixed grill (which came with 5 different kinda of meat). The seasoning and spices were on point. Great flavors, the right amount of heat, and something you can't really get elsewhere. My main issue was the quality of meat. Since this is supposed to be an affordable lunch spot, the meat was lower quality and really hindered the dishes. Too much fat, too much skin, too much gristle. I would love to see these spices on higher quality meat, that to me would be a 5/5.

Upon leaving, the lady that I took a picture told me to take the trash outside the building to the streets. Respectfully I did spend money to eat here, it was rude gesture to have me spend money here and have to throw anything outside to the streets. Then she called me stupid and to get out. I regret purchasing anything from here. I never made any disrespectful remarks nor was I being rude at any point. This should not be tolerated. I eat food in the area, this is disrespect to my mine and money. I wanted to like this place but morally speaking it's not worth coming if this is how they treat strangers. I hope people are aware that this kind of activity is going in this business. Love supporting local businesses but my time and money have value and it would not be spent here. She claimed to be the manager. food wise: very important details to consider- just because it's vegan/ doesn't mean it healthy. I had the vegetable potato Samosa - it's deep fried with canola oil (extremely processed oil) consuming oils like these make vegan/vegetarian options unhealthy. It's almost like eating a McDonald chicken nugget. Not saying this in a negative tone, just sharing honest thoughts. The potato was bland, typically with food like this, spices sometimes make up for the dish but unfortunately it didn't. Just a potato deep fried with bread. Lentil soup- had a broth feel to it, it also lacked taste and flavor. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great either. This is important because when it's a lentil soup something has to stand out about it, it's a healthier option so the taste makes up for the dish being a healthy. Upon asking, they also add canola oil to this soup. ((Not as much as the other foods on the menu, but still heavy and that gets people bloated) they should consider making foods with coconut oil. The place did seem to be clean. But people make the build what it is)

Even my 17-year-old, who usually only prefers homemade Indian food loved it. Here's what we ordered and my thoughts: Papri chaat - The papris was out of this world, with the perfect crunch and a rich, buttery flavor. The chutneys, potatoes, and chickpeas complemented it beautifully. The only small downside was that there could've been a little less yogurt. The sweetness level of the yogurt was just right, but it slightly overpowered the dish. Maybe a thicker drizzle of yogurt would balance it even better. Tandoori wings - Yum, yum, yum! They were perfectly seasoned, spiced and not dry at all. A couple of pieces were slightly overdone, but we didn't have time to think about it because they were so enjoyable overall. Everyone at the table loved them. And a special mention for the cilantro whipped cream, oh my what an unexpected concept! The flavor was a solid 10/10. The texture took a moment to get used to, but once I did, I couldn't stop eating it. Onion bhajjis - We ended up ordering these twice, which says it all! My son couldn't stop eating them. He's never even had pakoras before so these were an absolute hit!!! Chicken tikka masala - The best I've had in a long time. great balance of tangy and spicy flavors without being creamy. Generous portions of chicken and it was tender. I could've happily kept dipping my naan in the sauce all night long. Naan were alright! Slightly flat and overdone, but great with the sauce. Chai - we loved it so much we ended up having 3 cups each! Perfectly spiced and just the right amount of sweetness. Poutine - A bit underwhelming overall, but the masala potatoes were delicious. Honestly, I might have enjoyed it more without the gravy and chicken. Seekh kebabs - kebabs were tasty, but the sauce didn't quite work for me, it was salty, thick and didn't complement the already rich kebabs. I would've preferred them with sweet and green chutneys and maybe a pinch of chaat masala on top. Parle-G & malai kulfi - More than a perfect ending to a big meal. My son loved the Parle-G sandwiches--thank you for introducing him to a classic from my childhood! The malai and cardamom kulfi was delicious. Our waiter was super awesome!

We had their Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Naan. For starters, the food was amazing, and the service, too, was amazing. Both easily ranked at the top of what I've had. The pricing, however, is definitely steeper. Most Indian food spots serve complimentary naan or have rice included or at a small surcharge. Here, however, it's like $6... each. And this is on top of a price that is already above average. Outside of the nickel-and-dime pricing, the ambiance was nice and quiet. The water was also very tasty and served in a jar that was easy to refill, and our server took really good care of us.
