Great food, great value, and great people! They gave us plenty of food for the money we paid. Very attentive and checked up on us a lot as well. I do have a very severe nut allergy and they took it very seriously, making sure that there was no cross-contamination and even requesting to accommodate to my needs as well. Very small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant but very homey and atmospheric. Overall would recommend!

I was craving Indian food, so found this place nearby, they had pretty good review. I had Chicken Tikka Masala as it is one of the popular dishes. I wanted to like it, but it was too sweet for me. The rice was good, though. They don't have parking, so only street parking.

I ordered here on a whim, and man was I surprised. Hot, fresh, tender, savory, flavorful - ALL THE THINGS. It was so good, I had to run it back the next day, so I came to eat in person. It's a small place with a hole-in-the-wall look and feel. The lunch special is unbeatable. it's like $13.50 for most entrees and comes with papadum, rice, naan, and lentil soup. That naan, oh my god. I got plain one time and garlic another - both bussin'. The mango lassi is so tasty and refreshing. I'm only in LA for an internship and boy am I going to miss this place when I return home.

I wanted to stop by this restaurant so many times and I decided to head in solo tonight! And I am so glad I finally did. I absolutely love Indian food and this place is a small cozy restaurant that is packed with absolute flavor! The lady at the front was so sweet as well! I can't wait to bring my family here and continue coming. Unfortunately parking is the only issue but it's well worth the food!

Leave it to my bf moms to find this hidden gem! I can't believe this place has been right under our noses all along! When people say "restaurants that look like a hole in the wall have the best food" THIS IS THE PLACE! As we were walking towards it I was like.... Are we sure about this? It's pretty small and luckily there was only one other group inside eating. Our waiter was AWESOME! I wish we got his name but anyways he was great! I loved that he gave us a breakdown of the menu, asked our likes and dislikes and was able to give us some really good recommendations. I sadly dont remember the names of our dishes but im sure anything you choose from here you will NOT be disappointed. We will definitely return! Love the pricing and the food portions were 10/10

I found this place serendipitously through Uber Eats, and I was so astonished by the flavor, the savoring flavors and delish entrees that I made a trip all the way to the restaurant. I would usually not go to a restaurant like this! The restaurant is a hole in the wall, in a somewhat dilapidated corner with barely enough lights. This isn't a street I would walk late at night. Next to a Tattoo parlor, with neon lights. The restaurant itself is very ethnic with several posters, and an orange theme permeating throughout. The restaurant only has three tables, very lonely tables but alas this is the decor! I get a feeling of sadness when I see such an ambience. This establishment is only mostly for take out. But if you do ever come, you get additional appetizers. We got free samosas on the house! AJ and Norma were excellent This was by far the strangest and most amazing find in all of Los Angeles! I had tried several Indian restaurants via Uber Eats and each missed the mark in some way. Most chicken tandooris were dry, some chicken tikka masala were not flavorful others the Biryanis didn't pack the punch. I was BLOWN away by the food here. The chicken tandoori, was moist, juicy and succulent, grilled on a bed of onions and herbs. The lamb biryani was by far the BEST I've tasted in Los Angeles. Succulent lamb shank pieces, with fried onions, green peas and the occasional pine nuts on rice with a concoction of spices. The hint of Turmeric replenishes your soul. And the chicken tikka masala and garlic nun. The food was flavorful and delicious, but you don't get that heavy post food coma feeling. This should from now on be your favorite Indian establishment. If you are debating via Uber Eats, then debate no more, the judges have decided, this is a winner folks

Kheer, Lamb Rogan (16floz), chicken vindaloo the best!

Hands down 10/10 best restaurant! Support local!! We order at least once a month from Chef Arango's, always through DoorDash and it never fails to be delivered hot, well packed and fast! We've tried so many dishes: palak paneer & matar paneer, lamb rogan, chicken and lamb vindaloo all have a medium spice, large portions and delicious!! This is not a place that gives only sauce and few bits and pieces.. this is the real deal. Bhindi bhaji & tarka dal are spicy and oh so good! My partner loves the pershwani naan which you can't get anywhere (not that we get Indian anywhere else anymore). Finally, our favorite end to the meal is the Kheer. It's the first place I've tried rice pudding and now I look forward to it every time we order. Also a special thank you to the chef for swapping our soup for the kheer.

I was really craving Indian food so I decided to look for a spot that was kind of like a mom and Pop, but that I had amazing reviews, and I stumbled upon this gem. It is on a busy street, but there is plenty of street parking that is metered but free after 6 PM. When I got there, there was no one inside, so I was just a party of one and I sat down and the gentleman that was working was very attentive and took my order and was able to provide me with really good recommendations. I went with the lamb curry and also got the veggie appetizer. For three dollars I added rice, lentil, soup, and a dessert! They also give you a dipping sauce with chips for a light starter for free. I really enjoyed my time here. It was delicious and I will definitely be back!!

We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Korma and Butter Cheese Naan. They came out with Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Korma (did not notice this right away as it's all covered in sauce). I told the waitress that we were just waiting on the naan and she said that it's coming. She then proceeded to ask what kind of naan we want (so they weren't working on it). Once we started eating, we quickly realized that none of the dishes were lamb. We told our waitress and she was like oh no I'll bring you a lamb one. She didn't take the chicken one away or mention anything about paying for it. The food was pretty good overall so maybe a lot of good reviews are from delivery. When we were done, we asked for to go containers. They were gross and had white flecks/oily stuff all over them (just thinking about people that did delivery and had their food packed in those containers already...gross). They brought us different containers that were fine. The chef then came out and said he charged for the Chicken Korma (that we did not order) but didn't charge tax on it. Excuse me? First of all, if you even wanted to try to charge for that, you should've said something upfront. Second of all, you should never try to charge a customer for a mistake made by the kitchen. Will not return.

I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area. The seasoning and spices were on point. Great flavors, the right amount of heat, and something you can't really get elsewhere. My main issue was the quality of meat. Since this is supposed to be an affordable lunch spot, the meat was lower quality and really hindered the dishes. Too much fat, too much skin, too much gristle. I would love to see these spices on higher quality meat, that to me would be a 5/5.

I hope people are aware that this kind of activity is going in this business. Love supporting local businesses but my time and money have value and it would not be spent here. She claimed to be the manager. food wise: very important details to consider- just because it's vegan/ doesn't mean it healthy. I had the vegetable potato Samosa - it's deep fried with canola oil (extremely processed oil) consuming oils like these make vegan/vegetarian options unhealthy. It's almost like eating a McDonald chicken nugget. Not saying this in a negative tone, just sharing honest thoughts. The potato was bland, typically with food like this, spices sometimes make up for the dish but unfortunately it didn't. Just a potato deep fried with bread. Lentil soup- had a broth feel to it, it also lacked taste and flavor. It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't great either. This is important because when it's a lentil soup something has to stand out about it, it's a healthier option so the taste makes up for the dish being a healthy. Upon asking, they also add canola oil to this soup. ((Not as much as the other foods on the menu, but still heavy and that gets people bloated) they should consider making foods with coconut oil. Even my 17-year-old, who usually only prefers homemade Indian food loved it. Here's what we ordered and my thoughts: Papri chaat - The papris was out of this world, with the perfect crunch and a rich, buttery flavor. The chutneys, potatoes, and chickpeas complemented it beautifully. The only small downside was that there could've been a little less yogurt. The sweetness level of the yogurt was just right, but it slightly overpowered the dish. Maybe a thicker drizzle of yogurt would balance it even better. Tandoori wings - Yum, yum, yum! They were perfectly seasoned, spiced and not dry at all. A couple of pieces were slightly overdone, but we didn't have time to think about it because they were so enjoyable overall. Everyone at the table loved them. And a special mention for the cilantro whipped cream, oh my what an unexpected concept! The flavor was a solid 10/10. The texture took a moment to get used to, but once I did, I couldn't stop eating it. Onion bhajjis - We ended up ordering these twice, which says it all! My son couldn't stop eating them. He's never even had pakoras before so these were an absolute hit!!! Chicken tikka masala - The best I've had in a long time. great balance of tangy and spicy flavors without being creamy. Generous portions of chicken and it was tender. I could've happily kept dipping my naan in the sauce all night long. Naan were alright! Slightly flat and overdone, but great with the sauce. Chai - we loved it so much we ended up having 3 cups each! Perfectly spiced and just the right amount of sweetness. Poutine - A bit underwhelming overall, but the masala potatoes were delicious. Honestly, I might have enjoyed it more without the gravy and chicken. Seekh kebabs - kebabs were tasty, but the sauce didn't quite work for me, it was salty, thick and didn't complement the already rich kebabs. I would've preferred them with sweet and green chutneys and maybe a pinch of chaat masala on top. Parle-G & malai kulfi - More than a perfect ending to a big meal. My son loved the Parle-G sandwiches--thank you for introducing him to a classic from my childhood! The malai and cardamom kulfi was delicious. Our waiter was super awesome!

And this is on top of a price that is already above average. Outside of the nickel-and-dime pricing, the ambiance was nice and quiet. The water was also very tasty and served in a jar that was easy to refill, and our server took really good care of us.
