Uber Eats Review: The overall taste of the food was good and meets your craving. I have tasted some really good Indian food and this one is just good. The naan bread was thin and more crunchy than soft for my liking. I also feel like the portion of bread they give is not a lot compared to other restaurants. It's only 1 piece for the price that they charge. However I am aware that prices on Uber Eats are higher. The Chicken tikka masala was good. It had a nice spice level only thing is that this masala had a very very strong tomato flavor that I couldn't really taste the cream or other aromatics and spices as much. But it was still good especially when you are craving it. They gave a soup with the order since I ordered the meal for 2 deal on Uber Eats. I am not sure what the soup is called but it was just a simple chicken broth with veggies. I ordered the 2 piece Samosas and they were very yummy. Probably the best thing I ate from what I ordered. Overall the experience was good, they packaged the food in high quality containers which The portion was okay but the price in my opinion was a bit high, but that is normal when ordering on these apps. I think this place is one of the better Indian spots closest to my home. I think I would order the food again but maybe just go in person since the prices on Uber Eats are pretty high and I wonder if serving sizes are different at the restaurant. read more

Came here with 4 of my friends today and the food was absolutely amazing. We were kindly greeted by the lady from the second we walked in. The place is a small little dining area but we were the only ones inside so it was very nice and the art and pictures on the wall really captured the culture. There was a ton of options on the menu, and I was very happy to see the large variety of vegetarian options too as I do not eat meat very much at all. We all ordered lots of food and it came out in a timely manner. The lentil soup was one of the first things served and it was absolutely delicious. What Chef Arango lacks in parking, they more than make up in value, flavor and selection. Full disclosure: I had not eaten good Indian in a very long time because I live in an area where there aren't any Indian restaurants. My friend lives close by and suggested that we eat here and I am sooo happy we did. This place was beyond fire. Great food, great value, and great people! They gave us plenty of food for the money we paid. Very attentive and checked up on us a lot as well. I do have a very severe nut allergy and they took it very seriously, making sure that there was no cross-contamination and even requesting to accommodate to my needs as well. Delivery review: Our in dining experience was always great. This was our first time getting delivery and everything was just as good! I forgot how much I love their lentil soup which comes with the meal for 2. Chicken Vindaloo is still our favorite. Pricing is reasonable, everything including the naan was delicious. I've driven past this place a million times and have always been curious about whether it's any good. Today was the day I gave it a shot and I'm so glad I did. I got takeout but the tiny sitdown restaurant is adorable. It's no frills but very homey. I got the combination lunch with chicken korma, rice, naan, lentil soup and two traditional dipping sauces. For $22 (including tip) it's a lot of food and definitely enough for two people to split, or for an ample second serving. Everything was fresh and nicely packaged. The chicken korma wasn't the most interesting I've had but it was very respectable and I would order it again. Bottom line, I'll come back and if I lived closer, I'd be a regular. read more

I ordered here on a whim, and man was I surprised. Hot, fresh, tender, savory, flavorful - ALL THE THINGS. It was so good, I had to run it back the next day, so I came to eat in person. It's a small place with a hole-in-the-wall look and feel. The lunch special is unbeatable. it's like $13.50 for most entrees and comes with papadum, rice, naan, and lentil soup. That naan, oh my god. A few months ago I placed an order thru uber but before I did I saw they had an item that caught my attention but I've never tried so I send a note asking if they only carried one size because I wanted to try it. It was saag paneer. Well lo and behold they sent me some so I could try and it was delicious! Today I placed another order of butter chicken dinner, which is the butter chicken, basmati rice and lentils which by the way are delicious! And I had an issue trying to add extra naan on the uber app, I called the restaurant to see if maybe I can order it so they can add it on my order and I would pay for the naan over the phone but they told me that I had to do it thru uber since that's how I placed my order but it was charging for delivery just for the naan. So I said it's ok no worries. When I received my order, I got the extra naan and also a small container of cucumbers! They're super nice! I've lost count on how many times I've ordered from here. Went to LA to visit my friend and Indian food is always our jam whenever we link up. She's a regular here and took me. We found parking across the street. Parking is street parking only. The service was incredible. Very friendly and made you feel like you were home and being served your friend's wonderful dishes. Between 4 dishes and 2 people, we couldn't finish everything. Even though the tikki masala has only 8 or 10 chicken chunks, it wasn't finished. Their paneer with spinach is sooo good. I love it. When people say "restaurants that look like a hole in the wall have the best food" THIS IS THE PLACE! As we were walking towards it I was like.... Are we sure about this? It's pretty small and luckily there was only one other group inside eating. Our waiter was AWESOME! I wish we got his name but anyways he was great! I loved that he gave us a breakdown of the menu, asked our likes and dislikes and was able to give us some really good recommendations. I found this place serendipitously through Uber Eats, and I was so astonished by the flavor, the savoring flavors and delish entrees that I made a trip all the way to the restaurant. I would usually not go to a restaurant like this! The restaurant is a hole in the wall, in a somewhat dilapidated corner with barely enough lights. This isn't a street I would walk late at night. Next to a Tattoo parlor, with neon lights. The restaurant itself is very ethnic with several posters, and an orange theme permeating throughout. But if you do ever come, you get additional appetizers. We got free samosas on the house! AJ and Norma were excellent This was by far the strangest and most amazing find in all of Los Angeles! I had tried several Indian restaurants via Uber Eats and each missed the mark in some way. Most chicken tandooris were dry, some chicken tikka masala were not flavorful others the Biryanis didn't pack the punch. I was BLOWN away by the food here. The chicken tandoori, was moist, juicy and succulent, grilled on a bed of onions and herbs. The lamb biryani was by far the BEST I've tasted in Los Angeles. Succulent lamb shank pieces, with fried onions, green peas and the occasional pine nuts on rice with a concoction of spices. The hint of Turmeric replenishes your soul. And the chicken tikka masala and garlic nun. The food was flavorful and delicious, but you don't get that heavy post food coma feeling. This should from now on be your favorite Indian establishment. This is our favorite Indian Restaurant in LA! We first tried it one rainy day 2 years ago & was hesitant at first because of the location and the exterior of the restaurant but we are so glad we went and gave it a try. It is a small local Mom-and-Pop establishment and we are now regulars. Service is amazing! They check up on you from time to time and always check to refill your water. Food is delicious and so flavorful. They serve you papadam while waiting for your food. The green chutney sauce is great with it. We always get their chicken tikka masala with white rice and garlic naan. They have lunch specials from 10am to 4pm which are budget-friendly and good portions. We've tried so many dishes: palak paneer & matar paneer, lamb rogan, chicken and lamb vindaloo all have a medium spice, large portions and delicious!! This is not a place that gives only sauce and few bits and pieces.. this is the real deal. Bhindi bhaji & tarka dal are spicy and oh so good! My partner loves the pershwani naan which you can't get anywhere (not that we get Indian anywhere else anymore). Finally, our favorite end to the meal is the Kheer. It is on a busy street, but there is plenty of street parking that is metered but free after 6 PM. When I got there, there was no one inside, so I was just a party of one and I sat down and the gentleman that was working was very attentive and took my order and was able to provide me with really good recommendations. I went with the lamb curry and also got the veggie appetizer. For three dollars I added rice, lentil, soup, and a dessert! They also give you a dipping sauce with chips for a light starter for free. I really wish they didn't open this restaurant SO close to my house. I've been meaning to try it and I finally ordered takeout. I felt such welcoming vibe as soon as I netted. The gentleman was so sweet to me even though I arrived in messy clothes (it was one of those days). Either way, he treated me like an important customer. When I arrived home, everything I sampled was SO delicious. I ordered the vegan chana masala and the flavors were perfect. The vegan dal was perfect as well. The red and green sauce honestly weren't my favourite, but their kinda addicting. They have this different taste that surprisingly goes well with the naan bread. The Chicken Tandoori was so tender and the Saag Paneer was delicious! The Chicken Tikki was a little dry, but the sause was still delicious. This place is very small and quaint. There is additional seating outback but we haven't yet dined there. The inside was clean and the decor was so tasteful. As soon as I tried the papadum, I knew this place was going to be great. We ordered vegetable samosas to start and both the mint chutney and the tamarind sauces were great. The presentation was really cute too. We ordered the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala for dinner. This was a dinner special that was accompanied by the most delicious lentil soup. We also ordered garlic naan. Everything was delicious. Everything. We used to be big fans of East Indian Grill off of La Brea. Since they've closed we haven't found anything like it until now. So glad we found this gem. Parking is a bit tricky, so be prepared to take a few laps around the area. Pick up orders seemed to be everyone's go to, probably because of the parking situation. My boyfriend and I were going to get ramen but on our way there, we passed by this restaurant and instantly decided to U-turn to order Indian food instead. And my goodness, I'm so happy we made that decision and found this hidden gem. We ordered butter chicken, sag paneer, chicken biriyani, veggie samosas, and garlic naan. Yeah, I know that's a lot for 2 people but to me, it's not a complete Indian meal without all those things (forgot to get raita though). They also added kheer, onion bahjis, and I think even more samosas (I thought I would get 2 but I got 4) on the house?? And 2 servings of basmati rice which I didn't expect because all the other Indian restaurants I've been to required me to order rice separately. PURE HEAVEN!!! A++++++ for service. They put cute stickers saying "thanks for supporting our small business." Cute AF And A+++++ for the food! The samosas had a ton of filling and everything was spiced perfectly. I can't really rank the food because they are all essential to me. Just get what you normally like and you won't regret it.
