According the nice apologetic people there, our food was picked up by DoorDash, 15 - 20 minutes before we stopped by to pick up our order. They kindly re-made our order for us while we waited at the curb. We checked our cameras and even looked on our porch. 45 minutes after or pickup time, nothing had been delivered. Someone is stealing from this poor business. I hope they can figure out how this is happening. We will be back. We support our neighborhood businesses. Buyer beware. read more

Good and well presented good. Take out only. It's a ghost Kirchen called West Road kitchen. You can order through their website or via one of the third-party delivery systems. Try the eggrolls adequate. Tried the salad once with the lemongrass chicken once with the pork. Both were excellent. Tried the chicken PHO. Excellent. Have tried two of their Bahn Mi sandwiches. I tried My Lai for the first time recently with my friend. My friend and I order their fried tofu bowl and their ban mi sandwich. The presentation was a 10/10 however the food was just okay to me. I did like that they have a really huge portions and that you can customize your bowl but overall the food was just too spicy. It was hard for me to take a couple of bites of it without drinking any water. And I think the ban mi would be better if the bread was a bit fresher and if it was toasted. The meat was kinda dry too. I think I would order the tofu bowl again if it wasn't so spicy. But if you really like spicy foods you might enjoy this place! They also have really nice seating inside and the staff was really helpful asking questions about my order. read more

My Lai is usually very delicious. Today I picked up from the S. Western location since it is the nearest one to our house and I was so disappointed. They didn't have one of the items I ordered and I did t find out till I got there. They gave me a free sandwich which was nice of them. However, the beef was dry and burned as well as the egg rolls. I've been to other locations and didn't have that problem. And yes we ate the sandwich cause we were hungry. And didn't want to wait another hour to eat! read more

This is a nice healthier casual dining spot. Great for to-go or a quick lunch option. Nice selection of proteins and generous portions of fresh green and veggie choices and love the customization ability. Also love the cauli-rice option. Good value for the price. We're hooked whenever we want something quick and easy for our fast pace life style. It's always fresh, healthy, easy and convenient. I usually go for half and half protein of chicken and pork. They're mostly juicy if you ask for it. As for tofu, it's quick fried. I wish they have a grilled option as we're trying to be healthier. But I understand that fried is a more efficient for the business. I would give it a 5 stars if phone ordering isn't such an issue. Most of the time no one answers the phone. I just saw a sign for this place in front of a little pick-up window on Western about a week ago. When I looked it up I saw a couple bad reviews but because they just opened I was hoping the complaints were just birthing pains for a new business. I ordered a chicken bowl and impossible rolls on-line and I'm glad that I did! The bowl is huge and ingredients all taste fresh. It's definitely a meal. The rolls are fantastic too! I picked my order up at the little window and it was ready and on time when I arrived. So glad to see vietnamese food in the neighborhood! I have been obsessed with My Lai ever since a friend took me there, and we got the bowls, Chipotle-style where you pick the ingredients. Well, two nights ago I got the craving, so I came in and got a bowl after driving 40 minutes from Long Beach. The girl who served me couldn't have been any more disinterested and perfunctory as she dished up my bowl from the already-broken-down steam table pans. Every attempt I made to chat was met with a zombie-like facade of cold functionality. I was made to feel as though I was imposing on her effort to get out of there early. Bahn my was made with jalapeños which I always like and pickled radish and carrot but the bbq pork was marinated but lacking in flavor and was bordering on burnt. First time trying this place out since it's right around the corner from my house, I ordered the Impossible "Pork" Vermicelli Salad, the presentation and portions were perfect and that side sauce was tasteful. Also great, not so typical things you get at Vietnamese restaurants are the Tofu bites, the Impossible meat options. When we finally were able to place our order and went to pick it up, the door was locked and the place looked closed. I love the food at the My Lai location in Mar Vista and am SO EXCITED that they opened a ghost kitchen within walking distance from my house. Just ordered a banh mi and egg rolls for pick up. Both dishes were tasty and on par with what you get at the Mar Vista restaurant location. Cannot wait to try other items on the menu and check out the other vendors that work out of that location! Considering what a food desert it is in the Jefferson Park area, I'm hoping more restaurants can expand out here in a similar fashion! read more

There are no Vietnamese options in the Crenshaw area but My Lai is excellent. I usually go to Torrance for Vietnamese but I prefer the flavors at My Lai. We ordered Pork spring roll bowl and tofu build your own bowl. Flavors were delicious and tofu was amazing! So many fresh veggies and a nice big portions. Pick up was easy. Park in front, call them, and go to the window. My order was ready in 15 minutes. Will definitely be ordering again! read more
