Red and white tile, open kitchen, cooks in white hats calling out orders. You watch your whole meal get made. Double-Double Animal Style and fries. Order at the counter, they bring it out. Burger lands wrapped in paper, still steaming. Soft bun, cold crisp lettuce, cheese melted into the patty, grilled onions and spread dripping. Messy. Worth it. Fries are cut in-house -- you can see the potatoes stacked by the slicer. Thin, hot, not greasy. Lightly salted and gone fast. Just fresh ingredients done right. Burger and fries for under $10 and you walk out full. This is probably my 2000th burger, and it still hits the same. An icon. The best! An LA staple. Clean, fast, consistent. When you want a real burger without the hype or the $25 bill, this is it.

1-Star !! Yep, I'm done acquiescing to this location. How is…read moreit possible you get my order wrong virtually EVERY SINGLE TIME? It is not my 'burden' to ensure you're doing your jobs! I'm not getting paid to manage you, that is your MANAGER's job. I'm paying you for a service I am not getting, most of the time. This location gets my order wrong so often, I'm convinced it's by design to make the numbers look good. The manager gets away with it because ALL YOU SYCOPHANTS refuse to under-rate them when YOUR order doesn't go as planned. Most of America gets away with subpar service because a significant proportion of the Public can't be bothered to report or refuse to report so they can feel part of the In-N-Out Burger Cult. I order the same meal every time, with two fries and I only get one. They're often stale and resemble classic potato chips. I order a strawberry or vanilla shake and half of it is blended with chocolate. The burger is just meh at this point, nothing special, somewhat dry and small. But if I actually 'get my food' then at least I haven't been robbed of my money! The owner is an entitled billionaire who left the state because she didn't want to pay (literally) pocket change to the government to make our lives better. And here she is having her managers nickel and diming us to keep her profits absurdly high... I'm over it. I hope she fails. Get it together, Hollywood manager. Fix that traffic issue, fix the low quality of food preparedness, and stop ripping-off your customers who are too sycophantic to report your indiscretions. Cheers!

Very disappointing experience…read more I visited this Shake Shack on Friday around 2-3 PM, when temperatures were close to 100°F. The lobby was closed, and customers were expected to sit outside in the extreme heat. The manager informed customers that the lobby was closed but did not provide any explanation as to why as there was no construction going on and the tables were clean, with nothing wrong with them. There were children and elderly customers outside, and I was also working with an adult with autism at the time. I found it extremely concerning and unprofessional that customers were left outside in those conditions while the restaurant continued serving people. I understand that there may be operational reasons for closing the lobby, but customer safety should still be a priority, especially during extreme weather. On top of bad customer service- service was slow. A formal complaint has been reported to Shake Shack regarding this incident, and I hope management takes the matter seriously and reviews what happened at this location.

And you cannot leave on Sunset..... And there is a drive thru.... So be careful entering the lot. You may get stuck for a bit. I went in and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Could be the good food, could be the staff and the wonderful service they provide. Could be the clean restaurant. Or maybe all of the above. The gentleman that helped me was very friendly and helped me decide what I should order. I ended up with The Box, minus a drink. I do not drink soda, and it was too late to be drinking tea. The chicken was good, not greasy. Very moist and full of flavor. The sauce is good, like a spicy thousand island, kind of. The coleslaw was good. Packed away in a little container but really packed in.... The fries were ok. Could have been hotter, crisper, more seasoned, etc, but they were not bad. The Texas toast was ok. Light and airy, a little buttery. It did not need the toast, but it was nice for a variety of things to be nibbling on. It was a fair price for good food. I have my favorite fried chicken places here in LA,  but this is not bad and I will probably go again at some point.

The address is on Sunset, but you cannot enter the lot from Sunset. You also can't make a left turn into the lot from Highland. The only way in is heading south on HIghland, which meant I had to circle around and reapproach. Once parked, we went inside to order. The employee started taking our order, then the registers went down. After a few minutes, they appeared to come back online, but we were told they still weren't working and we needed to use the kiosk instead. We ordered at the kiosk and were handed drink cups--only to discover the ice dispenser was empty. Staff gave us ice from behind the counter, but when I went back for a refill about 20 minutes later, it was still empty and I had to ask again. On the plus side, the staff stayed upbeat and friendly despite the issues, and once the food came out, it was exactly what you expect from Raising Cane's--hot, consistent, and good. I'll still go back, but this visit felt way more complicated than a fast-food chicken stop should ever be.

For me, it's the chili that turns me off as I am not a fan of this food at all. Growing up, my family always made it with kidney beans which I don't eat, so I always thought chili was made with these (obviously learned later this was not the case). When a friend was craving Tommy's, I finally caved in to try it for myself. For this visit, I went for the #4 California cheeseburger with fries and a medium drink. I had a little trouble understanding the staff but once we were on the same page, everything was good. This was not bad; fries were decent and the burger was a big one. My first meal at Tommy's wasn't bad. Friend was raving about their strawberry milkshake so I returned later on my own for a chocolate one. Wasn't sure if this was the kind I can't stand (vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup instead of chocolate ice cream) but I finished it. Glad Tommy's isn't too far, and after a couple visits, I may add it into my rotation-

It has tables with chairs and barstool seating inside and tables covered by large umbrellas outside. The restaurant is very brightly lit due to all of the windows. Upon entering we headed to the counter to place our order. There was a menu that we could look at. While deciding what we wanted we were met by a person working. She took our order, we paid, and found a place to sit. We waited about 10 minutes and then our order was called. My husband then brought it to our table on trays. For my meal I ordered the Astro Burger no cheese. It came with lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, signature sauce, and I added mustard. With my meal I got a side of onion rings and feta cheese fries. The burger was good. You could definitely taste the charbroiled meat and the signature sauce added flavor. The onion rings were really good. They had a crispy exterior and the onions were sweet. The fries with feta cheese were good. The fries were a good size, had a crispy exterior and a soft interior. The feta cheese on top gave the fries flavor.
