Quick, tasty comfort Indian curry at a reasonable price! Love that there's a curry spot in my hood! The food is delicious and since it's served to you cafeteria style, the food is ready and quick to order. Ideal if you are in a rush. I had the chicken curry, lamb curry, garlic naan, basmati rice and rose water. All delicious. The prices are a bargain in this economy. I think i paid like $15-17 total. Like one person below mentioned, it has a comfortable, neighborhood vibe to it. Only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because I feel like they are wasteful with their plastic consumption. There's more eco-friendly alternatives.

An absolutely delightful experience! I was a bit nervous after reading some of the reviews, but we…read moreleft with both our hearts and stomachs completely satisfied. Even my 17-year-old, who usually only prefers homemade Indian food loved it. Here's what we ordered and my thoughts: Papri chaat - The papris was out of this world, with the perfect crunch and a rich, buttery flavor. The chutneys, potatoes, and chickpeas complemented it beautifully. The only small downside was that there could've been a little less yogurt. The sweetness level of the yogurt was just right, but it slightly overpowered the dish. Maybe a thicker drizzle of yogurt would balance it even better. Tandoori wings - Yum, yum, yum! They were perfectly seasoned, spiced and not dry at all. A couple of pieces were slightly overdone, but we didn't have time to think about it because they were so enjoyable overall. Everyone at the table loved them. And a special mention for the cilantro whipped cream, oh my what an unexpected concept! The flavor was a solid 10/10. The texture took a moment to get used to, but once I did, I couldn't stop eating it. Onion bhajjis - We ended up ordering these twice, which says it all! My son couldn't stop eating them. He's never even had pakoras before so these were an absolute hit!!! Chicken tikka masala - The best I've had in a long time. great balance of tangy and spicy flavors without being creamy. Generous portions of chicken and it was tender. I could've happily kept dipping my naan in the sauce all night long. Naan were alright! Slightly flat and overdone, but great with the sauce. Chai - we loved it so much we ended up having 3 cups each! Perfectly spiced and just the right amount of sweetness. Poutine - A bit underwhelming overall, but the masala potatoes were delicious. Honestly, I might have enjoyed it more without the gravy and chicken. Seekh kebabs - kebabs were tasty, but the sauce didn't quite work for me, it was salty, thick and didn't complement the already rich kebabs. I would've preferred them with sweet and green chutneys and maybe a pinch of chaat masala on top. Parle-G & malai kulfi - More than a perfect ending to a big meal. My son loved the Parle-G sandwiches--thank you for introducing him to a classic from my childhood! The malai and cardamom kulfi was delicious. Our waiter was super awesome!

We had their Chicken Tikka and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice and Naan. For starters, the food was amazing, and the service, too, was amazing. Both easily ranked at the top of what I've had. The pricing, however, is definitely steeper. Most Indian food spots serve complimentary naan or have rice included or at a small surcharge. Here, however, it's like $6... each. And this is on top of a price that is already above average. Outside of the nickel-and-dime pricing, the ambiance was nice and quiet. The water was also very tasty and served in a jar that was easy to refill, and our server took really good care of us.

My friend got Indian food a few weeks ago so I felt inspired to get some too (or Pakistani food,…read morenot sure). Regardless, I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer. They also have water for free here too but I didn't see the dispenser so I just brought something from my car in. The ambiance is cozy here. Nice seating area. Worth visiting if you want really good LA Indian food and haven't been spoiled by extraordinary SF Indian food.

We got the Lamb Dam Biriyani and the mixed grill (which came with 5 different kinda of meat). The seasoning and spices were on point. Great flavors, the right amount of heat, and something you can't really get elsewhere. My main issue was the quality of meat. Since this is supposed to be an affordable lunch spot, the meat was lower quality and really hindered the dishes. Too much fat, too much skin, too much gristle. I would love to see these spices on higher quality meat, that to me would be a 5/5.

This was easily a 10/10. So saucy, incredibly flavorful, perfectly creamy, and the pasta was cooked to the perfect al dente. No notes. Just insanely delicious. The chicken wings were just okay. I liked the unique twist with the achaar masala and cayenne chilies, but they didn't wow me. I'd probably skip these next time and try a different chicken instead. I was stuck between the pepperoni playboy and the chutney pija; bartender recommended the pepperoni, and I can see why. It had a crispy base with a sweet kick from the onions and honey. Dipped in the yogurt sauce... so good. Dessert was the caramel toffee banana soft serve, and it did not disappoint. Super smooth and creamy with a strong (not artificial) banana flavor, and the toffee on top added the perfect crunch. We came as a walk-in and were quoted a 3-hour wait, but managed to grab bar seats in about an hour. Service was quick and friendly the whole time.

The onion rings were also massive and delicious, though would have preferred more and smaller size I think. We got some of their wings which were average but not bad. Finally, we got their pasta which was secretly spicy, but also so delicious. Would definitely recommend getting that. My major gripe is that they have a sign offering happy hour, but nowhere did they say what the deal is, when it is, or what it is. Don't like that weird messaging. Overall, very cool spot. Would come again.
