Got food here late night was extremely helpful and delicious

BERLIN DONER WRAP

Best place in Downtown LA to get a Shawarma / BERLIN DONER WRAP @Navat Halal Open Until 4:00AM Got to love Middle Eastern food!

Good food great service for late night. Halal food and they are open until 4am. Came after a movie. Hit the spot

Navat Food Truck has one of the best shawarmas I have ever had. The meat was seasoned perfectly, juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. The fresh toppings and sauces took it to another level. You can tell they put real care into their food. Great portions, amazing taste, and definitely worth coming back for. If you love shawarma, this spot is a must try.

Average rating gas more to do with wait time and customer service vs. The food. They are located around the corner from crypto arena. We came here for a Lakers game and didn't want to wait too long to eat so chose this place. The close proximity plus being Halal were two pluses. Unfortunately upon arriving, we were told there is an approximate 30 to 40 minute wait time. And boy were they not kidding. For a food truck with literally only one order before us, that long of a wait time is a bit obnoxious. We wanted to try the burger but they were out of meat. So we got the chicken wrap and the chicken sandwich. Both were well sauced, seasoned with meat and veggies. The garlic spread was abundant, but for us, we liked that. The wait was worth it for food quality, but I would not be waiting that long again. They need to find a better process to get food out quicker being a food truck. People look for a quick bite.

Beef bowl and chicken bowl

My son and I found such a great deal near crypto.com center. One of the best value in LA. The shawarma bowls was $11 each and so worth it. It's literally a food stand with awesome food. Interesting combination of Mediterranean and Asian foods. Not that many chair/tables. The guy on the counter just seemed a little annoyed maybe because he was there only one manning the place. Need to check it out

Berlin doner pita absolutely on fire. Perfectly cooked meat between tasty bread. Uber Eats pickup always fast!

#6 GREEK GYRO WRAP(beef)
Naoshad S.

Meat lovers unite; navat is serving up the juiciest and most meat packed wraps in town. They were parked outside staples center and we stumbled onto their truck after a sparks loss. Staff took our orders and had them ready in no time. I had the beef gyro with light white sauce. My boys complained their white sauce was overwhelming so consider my modification. Next time i will ask for an extra spicy version

Navat Menu on their truck as of 11/2025

I got their shawarma wrap and it was amazing! The wrap was crispy, chicken was seasoned, the sauce was distinct but not overwhelming. The meat-to-veggie ratio was spot on, with the cucumbers taking the stage. I think the only thing that held it back was the price. And I get it, inflation. So I'm not going to hold that against them too much; meaning, I'd definitely come back when it's late and I'm in the area! I like their hours: 11AM-4AM. It's definitely a go to spot if nothing else is open and I'm in LA. Service was good; a bit slow on the food when it was just me. But not the end of the world. The only other criticism I really have is the parking. I got lucky with parking since I came the day after Thanksgiving during lunch, but I just know a late night or weekend can be hell. Would definitely come back again to try their beef and lamb?

Trevsu M.

Today I decided to grab a late night snack with a couple of buddies, and ended up here, a shawarma always sounds good right? Well to be honest it was kind of dissatisfying, sauces were at the ends and lacking in the middle, and maybe half a lettuce slice in the shawarma. For the price of a steep 18 bucks, you would expect quality. Then with his overload of meat, which was the only good part, there is no free water, so if your looking to spend over 20+ for just a late night snack, go for it, but to be honest the quench I have whilst writing this. Service was ehh... He had no emotions, which was okay as it was late at night, although he seemed rude, but when other people that could speak his language came he started smiling and hurried to take their order. Lights were dimming in and out, the overall vibe was ruined by how thirsty I was. Just bring your own water and you will be better off!

Open until 4am, their food was always fresh, clean, the staff were polite and professional, and the price was about the best deal you'd find downtown. A good, honest restaurant and business, which is rare in LA these days. I walked down there tonight and can confirm that the place is closed and the inside is being cleared out. Not sure why, but since there have been other locations around the LA area over the past several years, maybe they're just moving again. I wish them all the best! To Anwar and staff, thank you for the delicious and healthy food over the years, and for running a tight ship. I hope I see that Wolverine mural pop up somewhere else, soon!

This time, I went with the Anwar Style Chicken Shawarma to try something new. The portion size alone is impressive. The container is packed and feels substantial the moment you pick it up. The base is a bed of fries, and these are not just filler. They are thick, well seasoned, and sturdy enough to handle all the toppings without turning into a soggy mess. On top of the fries is a generous amount of chicken. The chicken tastes freshly cooked, with that warm, savory flavor you expect from good shawarma, never dry and never overly salty. There are pita chips mixed in, which add a great crunch and texture against the fries and chicken. Multiple sauces are drizzled throughout the dish. I chose a side of their spicy sauce. The creamy white sauce balances things out, while the orange sauce brings a mild heat and a little extra depth. None of the sauces overpower the dish, they work together to coat everything evenly and keep every bite flavorful. Diced tomatoes and corn adds a touch of sweetness that surprisingly works really well here. A sprinkle of herbs throughout helps brighten everything up and keeps the dish from feeling too heavy, even though it is definitely filling. This is comfort food done right. It is messy in the best way, packed with flavor, at least to me it was. If you are looking for something hearty, satisfying, and consistently well made, I will always recommend Anwar's Kitchen. Anwar's Kitchen delivers quality food, and I will keep ordering from them.

Why overpay at places like Raffi's Place, where the food feels overpriced without showing where the extra money went? The only downside was that the waitress pushed an appetizer on us twice when we really didn't need it. Two entrées are more than enough to fill you up. We started with those super delicate pani puri style poppers. I've seen them on MasterClass and always wanted to try them, so finally getting them here was a moment. Service was great. The bartender and server were both super knowledgeable and helped guide us through everything, which made a big difference with a menu like this. The ambience is beautiful. Big bar in the back, great lighting, a mix of natural and more moody tones that make it feel elevated but still comfortable. For mains, the pot pies are a must. We tried the biryani and the butter chicken versions, completely different but both worth it. Portions are huge, you will have leftovers. The quesadilla with fajita peppers and tandoori chicken was such a cool fusion idea and worked really well. The boneless truffle chicken had this creamy, almost alfredo style sauce with Indian spices that made it super unique. Ended with the saffron noodle pistachio ice cream dessert and that was unlike anything I've had before. Definitely something you try at least once. I love how big the naan is that they give you. They make it fresh too. Even though I've tried a bunch of their skewers, this time I tried the fish karahi, which came with my choice of naan or rice. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer.
