This place has the best and authentic kebab, hands down! We traveled across Los Angeles just to try this place out, and it didn't disappoint. Everything is grilled fresh, and the service is so friendly and attentive. There are three tables available to sit and enjoy your meal as well, which I appreciated. We will definitely be back to get our kebab fix!

It's great to know we have this amazing sandwich spot in our neighborhood! They're parked along sunset and right as you walk towards it, you can already smell the delicious charcoal-grilled meat. I got the chicken one and it's really good and flavorful. It comes with different sauces/chilis to complement it but honestly it's as good without. Just expect a wait of about 10-15 mins since they make everything fresh as you order, no complaints there! :)

I came here with a couple of friends on a Saturday afternoon, not expecting much. They're located in a corner where several other shawarma carts are located in, so I figured it would just be another option but nothing exceptional. I was wrong. I ordered the Shish Kebap, and was given a very hearty, filled to the brim, dürüm (a wrap) filled with veggies and beef. The beef is tender, marinated to near perfection and juicy. The vegetables are finely chopped, compliment the beef well, rather than overwhelming it, and add nice texture to the dürüm. Even though they're 18 dollars, they're big enough for two portions if you cut them in half (each dürüm is like a pound worth of food). Highly recommended place, street food with excellent, restaurant-level quality. Service was great, even if a bit slow but it's understandable, due to how well made everything is.

Tasty and fresh, however, their system needs some work. Seems kinda all over the place with ordering and actually receiving your food.

A good, honest restaurant and business, which is rare in LA these days. I walked down there tonight and can confirm that the place is closed and the inside is being cleared out. Not sure why, but since there have been other locations around the LA area over the past several years, maybe they're just moving again. I wish them all the best! To Anwar and staff, thank you for the delicious and healthy food over the years, and for running a tight ship. I hope I see that Wolverine mural pop up somewhere else, soon!

Not…read more"pretty good for takeout," not "good on a lucky day," just genuinely solid every single time. This time, I went with the Anwar Style Chicken Shawarma to try something new. The portion size alone is impressive. The container is packed and feels substantial the moment you pick it up. The base is a bed of fries, and these are not just filler. They are thick, well seasoned, and sturdy enough to handle all the toppings without turning into a soggy mess. On top of the fries is a generous amount of chicken. The chicken tastes freshly cooked, with that warm, savory flavor you expect from good shawarma, never dry and never overly salty. There are pita chips mixed in, which add a great crunch and texture against the fries and chicken. Multiple sauces are drizzled throughout the dish. I chose a side of their spicy sauce. The creamy white sauce balances things out, while the orange sauce brings a mild heat and a little extra depth. None of the sauces overpower the dish, they work together to coat everything evenly and keep every bite flavorful. Diced tomatoes and corn adds a touch of sweetness that surprisingly works really well here. A sprinkle of herbs throughout helps brighten everything up and keeps the dish from feeling too heavy, even though it is definitely filling. This is comfort food done right. It is messy in the best way, packed with flavor, at least to me it was. If you are looking for something hearty, satisfying, and consistently well made, I will always recommend Anwar's Kitchen. Anwar's Kitchen delivers quality food, and I will keep ordering from them.

When we arrived the host was friendly and walked us over to our table with a smile. Then our server came over and let me tell she was the most happy and friendliest server that we have ever experienced in our dining experience. Marlene approached us with "happy Friday" and spark up a quick conversation of why we were visiting. She made us feel welcomed immediately and excited about being there. We had a few questions about the menu and she was able to guide us through the menu with ease. She recommended things we hadn't tried before and for every dish that came out she would tell us the best way the chef would like us to enjoy them. I mean the service was impeccable. She was super sweet with my mother who is a bit older and sometimes is indecisive with food and drinks. But she was so patient with her and sweet to help her choose a wine and items on the menu that she end up loving. My mother couldn't stop talking about her on the way home. Every dish that came to our table was amazing and the drinks were super tasty. Hummus, crudo, prawns and dorado are a must. At the end we trusted her to choose dessert for us. The cashew bar and donuts nuts were the best way to end our dining experience. Overall, if you are looking for great food and amazing service this is the place to come.

We asked for extra BBQ sauce and that didn't arrive for another 15 mins. We had to wave down another employee to try to get the sauce to us. I wouldn't recommend this place! Horrible service. Didn't even come around to see if we needed anything or if everything was good or not. We came here around 1:30pm on 3/16. The restroom was also out of paper towels and soap from the soda dispenser. Poor quality food! Glad I tried it, so I know to not come back again!

Service was great. The bartender and server were both super knowledgeable and helped guide us through everything, which made a big difference with a menu like this. The ambience is beautiful. Big bar in the back, great lighting, a mix of natural and more moody tones that make it feel elevated but still comfortable. For mains, the pot pies are a must. We tried the biryani and the butter chicken versions, completely different but both worth it. Portions are huge, you will have leftovers. The quesadilla with fajita peppers and tandoori chicken was such a cool fusion idea and worked really well. The boneless truffle chicken had this creamy, almost alfredo style sauce with Indian spices that made it super unique. I chose naan. It was really good but it was a little too spicy for me. The cashier told me they could add yogurt the next time around. However, what really stood out is how the fish was cooked. I feel in American restaurants, fish is just cooked in a way that makes it just taste ok. However, at like Chinese restaurants, they really know how to make the fish taste amazing and have it be so plump and juicy. They make their fish like that here! The juicy and plump way where you're just like, "Wow I just want to keep eating this!" I also got a chicken roll too which is fried and crispy. Good appetizer.
