The restaurant was pretty empty. First thing I noticed was that there were tons of employees but no one really said anything. Since there was no one ordering, they were all standing around. You can just order at the kiosk but I wanted to ask a few questions but was kind of left to fend for myself. I ended up ordering the chicken tenders and chicken tenders with salad. I thought the restaurant ambience was nice. And after waiting for about 10 minutes, my order came out. They gave me extra sauce but again no explanation on why the extra sauce was provided. As for the food, I thought the chicken was kind of bland. I expected some Sichuan style but hardly any spice on the chicken. Once of the sauces was a Sichuan chili crisp, which gave the chicken more taste. Maybe the chicken was bland because I was supposed to dip it in the sauces? Aside from that, the other sauces were average (ranch and sweet/sour sauce). The salad was definitely a huge miss. They didn't dress the salad properly and only put dressing on top, so I just got a bunch of romaine lettuce at the end. The best part of my meal was the fries, which was crispy and fresh. Also, the fries were pretty generous. I think that the food was just average. Probably will not come back here but glad I came to check out what the hype was about.

I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, and it was way bigger than I expected. I also got the Le Coupe Sauce on the side, which is a mix of honey mustard and BBQ sauce. The chicken is made with thigh meat, so it's really juicy, and the breading has a nice crunch. The slaw goes well with it without taking away from the sandwich. I was planning to eat it when I got home, but after taking test bite at a red light, I ended up pulling over and finishing the whole thing in my car. It was that good. I'll definitely be coming back. The staff was really friendly too. Since it was my first time, I asked a lot of questions about the menu, what was popular, and what was in the Le Coupe Sauce. They were patient, answered everything, and helped me decide what to order. But was it still delicious and fried to perfection? Yes. Overall it was a really tasty fried chicken sandwich, the buns held the stack of creamy coleslaw and perfectly crunchy and juicy chicken together well. The bite had great flavour and texture, but it was mostly sweet and creamy. The self advertised slap yo' mama's hot sauce and chili hot honey made me crave some heat that was lacking from the sandwich. Parking was easy and service was great, no reservations needed.

I'm very understanding of that, and I don't expect special treatment. I simply expect basic courtesy and good customer service. I was speaking Thai, and when I spoke to her in Thai, she responded to me in English. That itself is completely fine--I have no problem with anyone choosing to speak English. What bothered me was the overall attitude and the way I felt I was being treated. What really surprised me was that, while I was there, I witnessed another customer have a very similar experience with the same waitress. The customer was trying to speak with her and ask questions, but the waitress appeared to ignore her and walked away. Eventually, the customer had to confront her and explain how she felt she was being treated. I was sitting there thinking, "What just happened to me?" Then I heard this other customer speak up about almost the exact same experience I had just had. We didn't know each other, but we both told another staff member that we did not feel comfortable leaving a tip because of the way we were treated. This review is not about the food. It is about customer service and how customers are treated. I have been to Hang Hang many times, which is why this experience stood out to me so much. I sincerely hope the owner or management will look into what happened. I would like to continue supporting this restaurant, but I believe every customer should feel welcomed, respected, and treated with basic courtesy.

Then they actually asked if we would like to dine and were so chill about it. It was or first time here and the hot chicken sando and fries were great! Definitely going back here a lot! Apparently they are training a new person. I asked to cancel my order and for a refund. They said ok. If the story ends here, I don't write this review. I hate giving bad reviews to small businesses. This morning I check my app. No refund. It states it was completed at 7:49 pm. Yikes!
