As soon as you walk in you will get hit with a strange smell that's a cross between an old rag and burnt oil. The restaurant is always empty when we go, not sure when their busy time is but the few ppl we saw took their food to go - one person ate outside. We were inside to get away from the sweltering heat but we weren't sure if the air in there was worth the sacrifice. We asked about allergies again. We couldn't remember what they told us last time because they never seem to really know. I asked if the batter contained any dairy or eggs and the woman taking our order said she will go ask the kitchen. I could hear her ask and the cook saying no. I asked her if the lemon pepper and honey lemon pepper also didn't contain dairy/eggs and she went back to ask again and the cook was mad and said "no dairy or eggs in anything!" I took her vehemence as confidence and ordered the 8 piece combo with half lemon pepper and half honey lemon pepper, fries, and a sprite. My son said the sprite tasted very weird and that it was giving him acid reflux. I tasted it. Tasted like carbonated tap water with very little sprite flavor, but somehow still tasted a bit dirty like dust/mold. The chicken came and it just looked like one flavor, but not sure which. Looked like an oily version of lemon pepper. Son reacted right away. Sigh. I went and told the woman who took our order that my son reacted and she said sorry and shrugged it off when I said maybe there was cross contamination? She said there should be no dairy or eggs. I asked if there was maybe mayo or butter or something with those allergens in the seasonings (not all seasonings are df/eg. for example McDonald's fries have dairy in the beef flavor seasoning). She said... maybe? Anyway, the chicken tasted salty and oily but the oil tasted gross. The fries were whatever. They used to be good! I remember we used to order large amounts of fries from here cuz they were abundant and so good but now it's just crinkle cut fat fries with spicy seasoning on it. Anyway, won't be going back until they know for sure what they're are serving people. It's always a red flag for us with food allergies when we go to restaurants and they cannot tell us what is in the food or don't check the ingredients for us in whatever written form they have. read more

It was so hard to choose because they offer Korean, Japanese and American style fried chicken. I wanted to order all of them. Decided on keeping it simple and buying the five spicy strip chicken strip with fries and a drink. AMAZING! The fries were well seasoned and the chicken strips were very crispy and had just enough heat. I ordered ranch and comeback sauces for my meal. I ordered the Original sandwhich with coleslaw and spicy chicken sandwhich with their daikon slaw, with everything on the side so it doesn't get soggy on the way over. The good: the sandwiches and the fried chicken, good value meal. The bad: the fries and the long wait time. The fried chicken is cooked really crispy and the sandwich ingredients go really well together. The daikon slaw is a nice touch and added a lot of texture and flavor to the crispy chicken and the bun. I got the Holdaak spicy, and thought this wasn't spicy at all. I think the sauce that came with it helped, but I think if I were to come back, I'd try the Seoul Spicy. It looked pretty intimidating so I was a bit afraid to try it on my first visit. My boyfriend got the Holdaak Orginal, and I thought this was just okay, mainly because his fried chicken really didn't have a lot of flavor, and there was no sauce that came with it (you have to pay extra for that). I find it odd that the original doesn't come with the sauce, but the spicy one does. They give a massive amount of fries, but I ended up not finishing them because it was just too much to a point I no longer enjoyed them. They're supposed to be Cajun fries, but the taste was too mild, I think from either not enough seasoning or not being mixed well. They were also very soft too, and didn't have much texture. I only got the fries because the combo meal was only $11.95, which is a steal for all the food that they give. Unfortunately, the service was really slow... it took more than 30 minutes for our food to come out, when it wasn't busy at all. read more

Just reviewing their boba drinks. Was driving by and a sign on the window said bobas were $4.50 for a limited time. Wanted to try their boba drinks and ordered an almond milk tea with boba and a peach tea with boba. I enjoyed the flavor of the almond milk tea and the bobas were warm and perfectly soft. My daughter didn't like her peach tea, she said it was lacking in flavor. What made me give 2 stars was, the menu showed the drinks were 20 oz, but when we got our drinks the cup size was 12 oz. It was like they reduced the cup size because of the discounted price which felt deceptive. They should just put a smaller size on the menu for the lower price.
