Great local Palestinian halal food in LA!! I feel like this place is comparable to Sababa in Anaheim. I got the chicken shawerma pita and it was fantastic. There were plenty of seats outside and inside and the service was fast and fresh. The pita was super filled, I got everything in it and loved the chicken, spicy hummus, and the pickles. I want to come back and try the bowls as well and they actually have a ton of menu items so I'll be interesting in trying it out. Love how its Palestinian and the logo has a keffiyah on it. It has its own parking lot so parking is free, but if it gets busy I'm sure it can fill up. AMAZING Palestinian halal food!!! I grew up eating my best friend's mom's Middle Eastern (Egyptian) cooking and everything I had here reminded me of her flavorful, comforting dishes. My friends and I had no idea Jerusalem Chicken existed until we parked right in front of it to go to another restaurant. The sign and aroma wafting from the door snagged our attention. Since we were a little early for our reservation, we took a peak inside to check out what this place has. They specialize in making the juiciest chicken I have ever sunk my teeth into, along with Middle Eastern sides such as tabouleh, hummus, falafel, cauliflower salad, kubbah, sumac fries, fried eggplant, Jerusalem rice and pita. I got the Original Chicken plate to go for $21.99, which comes with a half baked chicken stuffed with rice, mushroom and ground beef with a choice of two sides. I opted for the cauliflower salad and spicy hummus. As soon as I pierced my fork into the crispy skin, juice bursted out and the meat was so tender and flavorful in an outstanding lemon garlic sauce. The cauliflower salad was mixed with garbanzo beans, zucchini and onion and was roasted and seasoned to perfection. The spicy hummus was smooth and the spiciest I've ever had aside from the spicy hummus I make. The pita bread came right out of the oven and was thick and fluffy. Not a whole lot of ambience here. It's more of a fast food set up where you order at the cash register and pick what you want by seeing what's available. So happy I stumbled upon this place and wish it was closer to me. Wahhh flavors with heft (the bag), they give to your taste buds and stomach. This is one of my favorite places west of Downtown or toward Inglewood. They give you a good amount of food for the price, puts fast food to shame. For $20-22, you get two sides, half a chicken with rice, bread, and choice of two sauces/dips. The stuffed chicken is very juicy and the bread absorb the juice nicely. I like the mushroom and ground beef infused with the rice inside the chicken, it taste very well together. The lemon chicken can be a bit dry when you get it near closing but it's so good that I don't mind. Very savory and tangy, it's hard to stop eating. I really like their potato salad, it's not mayo-based, but a vinaigrette-like taste with flat leaf parsley. A great palate cleanser with a light taste, it keeps every bite of chicken refreshing. The spicy hummus has a nice roasted mild spicy twist to it, highly recommended. The regular hummus is just as good, creamy and thick. The eggplant is pretty good with a deep roasted nutty flavor but it can be a bit oily (taste like olive oil so I'm not complaining). Roasted onions and potatoes is a good alternative to potato salad. They taste opposite of each other, where the roasted one tastes like a home oven-roasted side. The cauliflower fritters are great! Very tasty and goes well with their sauces. The mint drink is also very refreshing, goes well with their baklava. I like all the sides here, just down to personal preference. I would recommend getting contrasting sides like a salad/pickled one versus a roasted/fried one to balance the taste. I get this every time in near LAX or SoFi stadium, the family workers are very nice and accommodating (like letting us have both hummus). My total was 20 dollars and I received half a chicken! It came with the 2 sides but they have a variety of sides to choose from. Chicken is bold, tender, seasoned and cooked perfectly. What I Ordered: -Lemon and Garlic Chicken with Rice, Spicy Hummus and Regular Hummus 1/2 of each, potato salad and a pita $19.99 -Cauliflower Fritters $7.99 I was watching random videos on Youtube and came across a video of someone going to Jerusalem Chicken and I was intrigued. The Cauliflower Fritter and Chicken plates looked insanely delicious. I knew that I wanted Siri's Original which is the chicken stuffed with rice and mushrooms, but I asked the staff there about what's the most popular chicken dishes and I was told the lemon garlic chicken was the most popular chicken dish. I opted to change my order to the lemon and garlic chicken with half spicy hummus and regular hummus with a side of potato salad. It comes with pita. The Lemon and Garlic Chicken was fantastic! That's not an understatement. The chicken was seasoned well and so flavorful! It came on top of a bed of rice. I felt like the rice was a bit rice. It could have been due to the juices of the chicken, but I don't think that was the case. I would have liked the rice to be more fluffy. The potato salad was different than other potato salads that I've had before with a strong herbs taste, but it was quite nice. I like it! When I was asking the staff which hummus was better. They offered the option of half and half. The lady in line behind me chimed in to get the spicy hummus and how its the best spicy hummus she's ever had. She wasn't wrong the spicy hummus was legit. So was the regular version. I really like the option to get both. It's the best of both worlds. The pita was disappointing. It wasn't hot or warm for that matter. It didn't taste super fresh more like something you would get in a package from the grocery store. I was dipping it in the hummus to make it taste better. I still feel the pita feel short of my expectations. The Cauliflower Fritters were good, but they weren't super fresh. When I ordered it, I noticed they were sitting out on top of a paper towel to soak up the oil. I asked the staff, is it fresh? and he said it was. I was kind of a fool to not insist for a fresh order, but I don't want to be that pain in the butt customer. Fried food that's not fresh is often soggy. This was the case of the cauliflower fritters. It wasn't very busy when I came in for a late lunch on a weekday. I feel like they had time to fry me up a new order especially when I was getting a full side. I really want to try this again, but I wouldn't get a cold and soggy fritter again. I highly recommend that you get the lemon and garlic chicken with the spicy/regular hummus and the potato salad. You cannot go wrong with this order. I would ask for a fresh order of cauliflower fritters and some warm pita especially if the line is not too long. The staff was very attentive and friendly. One of the guys who I assumed was the owner and boss came over to check in with me ask how I liked it. I will still say 5/5 because that chicken tho. This portion size is humongous. I'm a pretty big guy and I was so full they should have carted me out in a wheelbarrow. You can definitely share this order amongst two people. I only ate one Cauliflower fritter. I didn't even finish the pita because it wasn't so fresh tasting. That gives you an idea of big the portion sizes are. I can't wait to come back here. I had Jerusalem Chicken about 3 months ago and was excited to finally try it out based upon the reviews. I went with the lemon chicken, which was delicious...like some magical grandma was back there doing the most. Their online advertisement has misleading prices, I believe, by design. I went to their website to check out their menu, and their "menu" is written in narration form like they're getting ready to tell you a story about each item. I just want to know how much a chicken plate is. So I go online trying to find their actual menu, and Zmenu pops up with a menu from Jerusalem Chicken. Great. $10.99 for the chicken plate and $9.99 for a falafel plate. Cool. My friend and I wanted to try both, and the prices were great, so we got both plates and a side. I was stunned when the total was over $60. These meals are made with everyday ingredients. Nothing crazy special. I haven't been back since, truthfully. Just be upfront with your prices cuz that was annoying as heck...plus the wait time was ridiculous when I went, and there were hardly any customers. read more

Some of veggies were too oily but was olive oil. So the good kind of oily. Watch out the hummus IS spicy but great. I got used to the heat, but didn't like pepper seeds in it. The tender, mildly seasoned chicken falls off the bone! I kept eating long after my stomach was full. And with the big servings I got at least 3.5 meals! Next time I'll try the Cauliflower Fritters. They were sold out around 6:30pm on a Saturday. Some seating both inside and out. They also have Elegance Sandwich, which tastes like an elevated dark chocolate wafer bar. Not too sweet but rich chocolate and high quality ingredients. It's my mission to find these closer to home. It shares a small parking lot with a few other businesses, on corner of Slauson and Overhill Drive. Extremely Poor Service - Felt Discriminated Against I am a Black woman, and I visited this establishment on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. When I walked in, I was the only customer. A gentleman who was talking on his cell phone approached me. I initially thought he was another customer since he stayed on his phone, but then he asked what I wanted. I had a few questions and then placed my order. Afterward, he went behind the counter, and a Hispanic woman came out from the back. Around that time, a white male walked in -- she immediately took his order and he was served quickly. Soon after, two more white men entered, and again, she stopped to take their orders. Her English wasn't very clear, so she went to the same man who took my order to ask him questions about their order. Meanwhile, my order -- placed first -- was still not being made. Then another woman wearing light blue, with her hair covered, came in and went behind the counter. The man told her to "help me." When she approached, I kindly asked if she could wash her hands before handling my food. She pretended not to understand me, so I repeated it twice more and gestured with my hands. She clearly understood but chose to be rude. She finally said "Oh, I will," but instead of washing her hands, she asked me to repeat my order again. At that point, I told her I had already ordered and reminded her that three men who came in after me had already received their food. She still insisted I repeat my order. I decided to walk out instead. The service was disorganized, disrespectful, and discriminatory. I left feeling dismissed and unwelcome. I will not be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values fair and respectful treatment. read more

I had training not far and met with a cousin to talk ideas and grab lunch. He had never been and this is my absolute favorite place to get a falafel pita. I used to live in south central and recently moved to Anaheim where falafel is within arms reach. BUT it's not the same. I've been in search so being near, I had to come. The food here is delicious. The portions are large. The staff was patient. I ordered a lemon garlic half chicken, which comes with Jerusalem Rice and a loaf of a pita(!) For my sides, I got a 1/2 spicy 1/2 regular hummus, the green of the day (collards), and then splurged on the cauliflower salad, because it looked so good, and I'd love to find a way to make cauliflower more interesting, myself. Dark meat was juicy, skin had a very interesting texture and appearance. Flavor was good. Breastmeat was cardboard, but I expected as much. The woman serving poured the chicken juices over the rice, which reminded me of comfort food in the South. Sides were solid! I liked the greens and cauliflower. The spicy hummus was interesting. Very pinento-y. Genuinely spicy. The regular was a solid offering for the style (like the bread), but I think I prefer other styles better.
