They also offer boba. The food is made quickly (yes, just like the cafe name), wait time is five minutes. The eating area is clean. There is lot and street parking available, but I usually walk. Was actually brought here by a family member and it's most certainly one of the best spots i have been too. Every smoothie they make tastes so fresh and it's not too empowering when it comes to sweetness. Very affordable as well. The cashier was nice and waited for us to make up our minds on what to order. A boba and cheap eats hidden gem in Chinatown! Walking in, I found the interior to be very mom and pop like which is a good sign. I got the house milk tea w/ boba and it was solid, but my dad got the avocado smoothie and it was very good! It was made with fresh avocados, was smooth and not icy, and not too sweet. It reminded me of one of my childhood favorites, cold avocados mashed with condensed milk and it tasted like that, but a smoothie version. After an hour stroll along the few blocks of this beloved Los Angeles Chinatown, it was only right to get something to quench the thirst. The general flavor was there, but it felt it could have used a bit more of whatever mix they use. It almost felt a little watered down. The boba was a perfect chew, though, so they got that right. I placed a pick up order for their popcorn chicken and French fries and everything was ready so quickly (hence the name). the food was delicious and piping hot and they are so generous with their portions. I really try not to do less than positive reviews but this place was one that I think could use some improvement. Staff here were nice and somewhat friendly but it would help if you spoke Chinese. We ordered Taiwanese sausage rice, at 12:40p or so, and were told they sold out. So we pivoted and ordered minced pork on rice and teriyaki chicken. It came with drinks so we ordered an oolong tea and a Thai tea. The drinks came out fast. But the oolong tasted pretty awful...almost like diluted coffee. Definitely not oolong. The Thai tea was also not quite Thai tea, just a sugary flavor. The food took a long time, despite the place being nearly empty. We took it to go because there was no dine in. That meant we didn't see our food till later. The teriyaki chicken turned out to be fried chicken cutlet, and the minced ground pork was not really ground pork, but a gravy with a little ground meat and small tiny pieces of pork belly fat. I suppose I shouldn't expect too much, but this was rather disappointing. Not sure I will return again. Perhaps a revamp is in order...sorry. read more

My teenagers and I LOVE Quickly! We have been coming the past 10+ years. We love Chinatown too, especially on Sunday evenings when it's super chill, empty, and LA has free parking. My daughter loves the boba and said it's the best she's ever had; my boys love the smoothies; we all love the popcorn chicken. The drinks are solid. We had the honeydew boba tea (no actual tea in it, which is good for a 6yo child) with mango popping boba and the classic boba milk tea. The food though is mediocre-to-bad, aside from the marinated hard boiled egg, minced pork bits and rice that come as sides. The popcorn chicken is sooo over-fried and tough. Ambiance is also abysmal considering there are so many adorable boba places in the world. Note that they have a deal with the restaurant next door that Quickly customers can use the restaurant bathroom. Fortunately, no fuss or hassle from the restaurant when we sauntered in (just a polite ask if we needed help). Overall, I really expected better, food-wise, and that this place would have stepped up their game to the 21st century and the IG-friendly decor/iconography era we are in. I guess in the absence of the modern decor/amenities, it feels like an authentic old school experience? I remember regularly coming here as a teenager to get snacks with friends after school or even just use my laptop. Quickly has made some major upgrades over the years (in their menu and their furniture!). There's loads of snacks here now and expanded menu choices. The drinks are also solid.
