Popcorn chicken Oreo smoothie boba sweet and sour sauce

Haven't been to quickly in a few years, it's gotten smaller in store size. Still a nice ambiance, calm atmosphere, stereo sound could get some fixing, otherwise nice place to grab a quick refreshing drink! Popcorn chicken was yummy 7.5/10 boba 9/10 the barista was friendly and handled my food with care.

The milk tea here leans way more on the sweet/artificial side, but it's a nostalgic boba spot for me. A nice refresher if you need a sweet drink while exploring Chinatown. More affordable than other boba spots.

Spicy popcorn chicken

Wanted the classic boba and popcorn chicken combo and was fortunate to have found Quickly. This place is not only affordable but so delicious. Had a taro milk tea with grass jelly at 25% sweetness. It was just right. The showstopper was the spicy popcorn chicken. Spicy was optional. They give your a good amount to the point it made my partner and I full. The chicken was juicy with that perfect Taiwanese seasoning.

I like to pass by this boba place during my day off from college. The service was great and friendly cashier. My favorite drink is strawberry banana smoothie and I like their foods as a snack appetizer, especially I like their squid balls.. While I'm there they had a outlets to plug to charge your phone or ur devices.. I will always pass by this boba place.

Large avocado smoothie with boba (L) and regular house milk tea with boba (R)

A boba and cheap eats hidden gem in Chinatown! Walking in, I found the interior to be very mom and pop like which is a good sign. I got the house milk tea w/ boba and it was solid, but my dad got the avocado smoothie and it was very good! It was made with fresh avocados, was smooth and not icy, and not too sweet. It reminded me of one of my childhood favorites, cold avocados mashed with condensed milk and it tasted like that, but a smoothie version. The boba was also so cheap, $3.65 for a small milk tea like you don't see prices like that for boba nowadays! I also wanna try their food one day which looks good and cheap.

After an hour stroll along the few blocks of this beloved Los Angeles Chinatown, it was only right to get something to quench the thirst. I didn't find any place interesting enough for it, so I decided to walk back to my car and just settle it with the bottle water I already had in there. I parked at the Cathay Bank lot. It's a good thing I turned my head on my walk back because that is how I found this place. They do offer snacks, not just drinks, which explains why I was immediately hit by the smell of fried food soon as I walked in. It was pretty strong, I'll admit, so if it's like this all the time, they might consider upgrading those vents! I'm on a wintermelon tea phase, so I was glad to find that on their selection. Got a large and boba to go with it as well. Although I knew it wouldn't take long, I stepped out for a few seconds because, as mentioned earlier, that fried food smell was becoming borderline overwhelming. Got my drink and started my trek back to the car. It really was refreshing, but I felt it was missing a bit of an umph. The general flavor was there, but it felt it could have used a bit more of whatever mix they use. It almost felt a little watered down. The boba was a perfect chew, though, so they got that right. FOOD: (uhm... drink!) 3.5. SERVICE: 4. Friendly staff. VALUE: 3. Fair and as expected. PARKING: Metered parking and plenty of private lots for $5 for the day. Wasn't an issue when I came through on a Saturday afternoon. OVERALL: 3.5. But I'm gonna keep them in my radar should I find myself around here again. (Honestly, I didn't really see a lot of places like this - then again, I didn't really look - but still... good enough.) Might just try one of their grub to go with a drink next time...

Brings back memories of getting popcorn chicken and boba milk tea after getting off school. Love how they are still so affordable too! Their drinks are all mostly under $5 like milk tea, smoothies, slushy n more. My favorite bento box was the Taiwanese sausage rice and it even comes with free drink! If you're looking for a quick fix on popcorn chicken and milk tea then this place. They are having promotion on $1 watermelon juice too!

Lucia Y.

Quickly offers tasty and affordable bento boxes, especially the fried fish fillet with minced meat sauce, boiled egg, broccoli, and rice--an amazing deal! The fried dumplings are delicious, and the milk tea is refreshing. Great value with generous portions!

Oolong tea and Thai tea
Rachel C.

I really try not to do less than positive reviews but this place was one that I think could use some improvement. Staff here were nice and somewhat friendly but it would help if you spoke Chinese. We ordered Taiwanese sausage rice, at 12:40p or so, and were told they sold out. So we pivoted and ordered minced pork on rice and teriyaki chicken. It came with drinks so we ordered an oolong tea and a Thai tea. The drinks came out fast. But the oolong tasted pretty awful...almost like diluted coffee. Definitely not oolong. The Thai tea was also not quite Thai tea, just a sugary flavor. The food took a long time, despite the place being nearly empty. We took it to go because there was no dine in. That meant we didn't see our food till later. The teriyaki chicken turned out to be fried chicken cutlet, and the minced ground pork was not really ground pork, but a gravy with a little ground meat and small tiny pieces of pork belly fat. I suppose I shouldn't expect too much, but this was rather disappointing. Not sure I will return again. Perhaps a revamp is in order...sorry.

The only thing challenging is the parking. It's better to go early and avoid weekends, unless it's ok for you to wait and look around for a parking space. It was worth the try for this spot, good heathy yummy food and juices, affordable as well. Would definitely comeback and try the other delis and croissants.

We met up on a Friday morning right when they opened and had no trouble finding parking in the lot behind. You did have to pay but it was cheap by LA standards. Not very many people since we came around opening, very chill vibe. Friendly staff and lots of great menu items. There is no bathroom in the restaurant! Chairs are just stools so not the comfiest place to chill but we spent a while just chatting and eating. Prices are kinda up there for the portion but it's trendy healthy LA food, so it was expected. I ordered the miso bowl and it was yummy and refreshing! The way it was served did confuse me though just because there was a scoop of hot rice and cold chicken and the veggies had no dressing. Are you supposed to mix it all up like a salad even though the rice is hot or are you supposed to eat it like a rice bowl? Idk it was odd. It wasn't till I finished most of the rice that I just mixed the everything together and it was better, like a salad. The cold chicken and hot rice really just threw me. But the miso dressing was delicious nonetheless! 4/5 Overall, I enjoyed this place but probs wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. But I am glad I tried it and it did fulfill what I needed: a chill place to catch up with my friend and refreshing food.

It's called the Community Bowl because a portion of the proceeds from this bowl goes to a nonprofit in the community. My biggest problem (and the reason for the 3 star review) was that the Community Bowl was simply not filling. It was tasty and healthy. But I paid $20+ (including tax and tip) for a breakfast bowl that wasn't satiating. Basically, they're like a specialty fruit cart (think those fruteria carts/stands that you can find…read moreall around LA) combined with a juice/agua fresca bar, and danger dog dispensary all in one. Signage may or may not be around (as of writing, no posters or anything with their name was displayed). They're currently across the street from Yang Chow, in front of the Broadway Jewelry Mart. Hours here are a bit varied, as of writing they work 9 AM-4PM on weekdays and until 4:30 on the weekends (whether the "weekend" is Friday and Saturday or Saturday and Sunday, I'm not wholly sure). Everyone comes here for the juices and fruit. The line moves fairly fast but the fruit is largely cut to order, so be prepared to wait a bit. They sell pure, freshly squeezed orange juice (no sugar or water added) and some agua frescas including passionfruit and jamaica/hibiscus. The menu seems to change. Most importantly, they sell young jackfruit and you can watch the fruit being de-seeded before your very eyes. Has Saigon Deli, a few feet away from them been doing this for awhile? Sure. But go there for their bahn mi or their sugarcane juice or to pick up a quick snack like a cha gio or goi cuon. The jackfruit here can be mixed with chamoy and Tajin along with any other fruits you want. Unlike other fruit stands, they also have apples and grapes. Of course, mango and pepino/cucumber are available if you want. I got a mixed fruit ("whatever you want") cup with jackfruit and mango. That cost me $7 and I got a pretty big cup. A good amount of semi-firm jackfruit (tastes kind of like pineapple-mango) and mango (pretty sure I got a whole mango and half of another) with layers of chamoy and Tajin in between and on top make a nice snack/dessert. I opted for the passion fruit agua fresca, as the nice pink one wasn't sandia/watermelon but pink lemonade. $4 for a small, $5 for a large. I got a small. It's full of pulp, seeds, and lots of passion fruit flavor. Along the block by them are a few other fruit vendors including at least one other that's trying to capitalize on the jackfruit popularity. Didn't see the Tajin or chamoy, though. I also wasn't looking hard. It's almost surprising this place has no reviews. There's always a small crowd by them. I suppose the name doesn't help, nor the fact they apparently went by a different name (The Orange Tree) and the truck they used had "Kobe's Produce" emblazoned on the side. Despite their seeming lack of presence, they do have an Instagram and Facebook page.

Liu's Café -- That Soup Is a Hell of a Drug…read more Let me set the scene. You're a family man. You did your research. You found a place with a Michelin Bib Gourmand, great prices, and a reputation for the real deal. You're feeling good about yourself. You load up the wife and kids, plug in the address, and pull up to... a sidewalk that smells like a bus station bathroom at 2am, with a full cast of characters shouting at each other over the last open seat at the bus stop. I looked at my wife. After years of marriage, we don't need words anymore. She sent me a full telepathic paragraph: "You brought our children HERE? I don't see a single other child on this entire street. Explain yourself." I sent back: "Bib Gourmand. Trust me." She replied -- out loud this time -- "This better be worth it." The second we walked through the door, the street chaos evaporated. A young gentleman greeted us immediately, and the moment he clocked the kids, he skipped the "order at the counter" routine and sat us at a table on the spot. My wife looked at the menu, looked at the prices, and said, "Let's order one of everything." I was doing a full touchdown celebration inside my head. She's in. We're in. God is good. Food hit the table within minutes. Like, embarrassingly fast. And then -- the beef noodle soup arrived. The smell alone should be illegal. My entire family went silent. The broth had this deep, bone marrow, collagen-rich, buttery complexity that somehow carried every bold, layered spice note all the way across the Silk Road and landed directly in my soul. When I bit into that beef shank -- tender, melty, absurdly rich -- I had to fight every instinct in my body not to let out a falsetto shriek sensual moan like Prince in Purple Rain right there at the table. I am a gentleman. I held it together. Barely. Now. About my son. He finished his portion. He paused. He looked left. He looked right. And then -- slowly, deliberately -- he lifted that porcelain bowl and licked it clean. My innocent child. Licking a bowl in public like a man who has lost everything and found it again in beef noodle soup. Liu's Café, look what you did to my family. Here's the verdict: this is an absolute, non-negotiable MUST GO. Best beef noodle soup I've had in my life. Bring your friends, your parents, your kids -- whoever you love. You'll get to watch each other become completely unhinged over a bowl of noodles, and honestly, that's a bonding experience money can't buy. Would I walk past sticky sidewalks and dried-up mystery puddles to get back there? Yes. Would I navigate that whole chaotic scene again with the family in tow? Without hesitation. Would I, hypothetically, shove dirty weird characters into moving traffic to clear a path through a crowd by any means necessary just to secure a bowl? ...I'll plead the fifth. Rick James had cocaine. I have Liu's Café beef noodle soup. Shoot, that beef noodle soup is a hell of a drug. Give it to me, baby.
