Found this spot through ClassPass. The coffee was really good, the inside was cute and clean, and the barista was very nice and accommodating.

Love the vibes here, feels like an art gallery more than a coffee shop. I tried the "Bright Eyes" and loved it! Great sound, vibes and people. Coming back soon!

Not my first time to Jurassic Magic as I have been a fan of its Mid City's one. So knowing they're having another outlet surely excited me especially this one carried just different ambience. To my surprise it wasn't that busy on Sunday, making it easy to find a seat and the service was also speedy. I got their signature cold brew with vanilla syrup and almond milk. I loved how their cold brew tasted bold yet had smooth finishing and their house vanilla syrup also tasted outstanding.

We were participating in the cicLAvia bicycle event and wanted some iced coffee for our afternoon caffeine buzz. The high end coffee shops in this area are bleak. This new coffee house saved the day. There were other bicyclists here sitting outside on the small stools relaxing in the shade. I ordered an iced mocha less sweet and it turned out just right.

Jurassic Magic is a great find near MacArthur Park. Do not judge this cafe by the area because the interior is clean and filled with cool books and decor. We found parking easily during the day and felt perfectly fine. I ordered the Spanish latte which tasted delicious. It is basically a standard chai coffee and hit the spot. The service was good and my drink came out very quickly. This is a cool spot to visit if you are in the neighborhood.

This is one of the few coffee shops in the neighborhood and that is counting the big chain coffee shops. The coffee shop is located in a historic building now called Westlake Square building in which it has intricate molding all around the building and hand drawn roof. When you step in, you are immediately enter the sitting area and to your right you see the ordering station. They offer a good amount of drink selections and pastries. The staff is nice and on top of welcoming new customers when they walk in. I ended up ordering the Magic latte which was delicious. Looking forward to coming back!

Huge shoutout to Ofelia. My friends and I were blown away by her incredible service -- honestly, I've never seen anyone serve with such professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. She made us feel welcome, took care of every need, made adjustments for us, and truly went above and beyond. In the middle of LA, it's rare to find service like that. Combine that with the cafe's amazing retro and artsy vibe and unique menu items - def coming back. Also, check out their journaling prompts :)

It would be a lie if I said that I happened to stumble across this cafe, since I actually waited for 3 months for this place to open. Its a fairly unnoticeable cafe; its tucked inside a historical building and next to a letterpress store. The inside is fairly big with ample seating, nice space to gather with a group of two or three to lounge and talk. The coffee is good. I got the latte with almond milk and I liked it. I'll definitely have to come back and try the specialty drinks on their menu. Parking can be a bit tough since it is street parking but on any given weekday, its not that bad. The neighborhood is a bit rough though, so definitely be on the lookout.

The Shy Guy tea instantly became part of my top 3 fav iced teas ever. Super cute space, super fast service.

However, I am almost embarrassed to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Stagger. There was no line, but it makes sense with the fact that we came at 4 pm. After ordering, we were quickly served. Everything from napkins to drink caddies to straws to drink sleeves were self serve, which I appreciated. Not to mention the free stickers! The drinks were on the sweeter side, which is what I prefer, but not too sweet that it drowns out the matcha flavor. The double matcha was topped with a thick layer of sweet cream which balanced nicely with the slight matcha bitterness. The jasmine matcha, which was the seasonal drink, was very jasmine forward and garnished with flowers (I ended up spitting them out; had the texture of disintegrating paper straws). Otherwise, it was one of the better matchas I've had, especially because it didn't make me feel jittery. The vibe was quiet, clean, and minimalistic. The chairs looked straight out of a modern art museum. It's like musical chairs, but the loser still gets a chair, just one without back support. This is my first time visiting a matcha shop in LA, and the bar has been set very high!

It was really interesting that one of the Americanos was made with Ecuador Los 4 Mundos beans, and the other was made with Colombia El Diviso. When a staff member brought over my hot Vanilla Latte, I asked to make sure it was decaf. He took it back just to double-check for me, and then confirmed that it was indeed decaf. The coffee here is all delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly, which I really liked. However, the chairs were quite uncomfortable to sit in, and the Vanilla Latte was still pretty sweet even though I ordered it "less sweet." Still, the coffee tastes so good and the staff are so incredibly kind, so it's a really great coffee shop. P.S. A funny thing: They had dog treats in a jar. I immediately thought of my boss's absolutely super, incredibly cute dogs, so I asked for an empty cup and packed some treats to bring to the office for them today. But when I finished my coffee and was heading out, I totally forgot and accidentally threw the cup of treats away along with the empty coffee cups. OMG. (But seriously, all dogs and cats always absolutely love me. Hahaha. When I get to work, my boss's dogs come over wagging their tails and greeting me so excitedly--they are just so, so adorable. And as for cats, there's a stray that I've been feeding every single morning on my way to work for over 4-5 years now. She currently lives at the Buddhist temple I attend. Every day when I go, she follows me around everywhere. She absolutely loves it when I scratch her back with a brush, and when I'm done and try to leave, she taps my foot to tell me to scratch more! It's just so totally cute and lovable. It's a completely white cat, and so incredibly pretty.)
