I passed by 6XS after grabbing lunch nearby. Their espresso has a really nice nutty flavor and the cream in their Cloud is perfect; not too creamy and not too light. The portions of milk, espresso, and cream are perfect. Their Yuzucano has a really good flavor, not too tart, but also not too sweet. It's a perfectly balanced flavor of coffee and citrus. Their barista is very helpful and is able to give recommendations based on your preferences. The shop is well lit by the sun and has some glassware and such for sale! Very cute shop that I'd visit the next time I'm in that area.
1.5 The service is nice, the people are welcoming. The problem is this place is rated way too high. The matcha is definitely not high quality, it legit tastes like seaweed. In the matcha yuzucano, it just tastes like yuzu because the matcha is not good enough or strong enough. The dirty ube latte tastes like nothing as in it's not really strong enough on either sides. The Malibu latte is alright turns into this muddy green when mixed which is fine. The cheesecake is TOO expensive for something I could buy a whole of at Costco but it's good I guess. The Canele is NOT good, do not get it... Honestly, my review is just not going to be that detailed because I'm just underwhelmed and disappointed in the food and drinks.
I was today years old when i found out 6ixth sense had a little cafe spot! But anyways better late than never! This place is right on 6th close to western. I just went with the most popular drink (had to ask for their specialty) it came out delicious! I love coffee in general so i was happy with my drink! The service was great! It wasn't too busy which was nice so our drinks came out quick.
6xs never disappoints. Their iced dirty ube is so good. It is a little on the sweeter side, but still incredibly delicious and addictive. I keep coming back for more because it hits every time. The baristas are always so sweet, and every visit has been consistently great. No matter how many times I go, the coffee is made the same way with care and attention. That kind of consistency and warmth is what makes 6xs such a favorite for me.

It's giving clean, modern, and calm. It's the kind of place that feels intentional in every detail :) My go-to order is the Malibu latte with oat milk, and it's consistently perfect. As someone with a dairy allergy, I really appreciate how accommodating and knowledgeable the staff are. They're always mindful, helpful, and happy to make adjustments without making it feel like an inconvenience, which honestly makes such a difference. The drinks are thoughtfully made, smooth, and balanced, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. 6xs is a place I genuinely look forward to visiting!
This is hands down one of my favorite coffee spots in LA! I used to have to drive to Koreatown before they opened a location in DTLA, so I'm SO happy they're closer now. I almost always end up ordering more than one coffee because everything is that good. My usuals are the 6XS Cloud and 6XS Mello. Definitely a must-try if you're in the area!
Ordered a banana matcha and a yuzu matcha drink. The girl at the counter was going over the order and was like "corn matcha" and I said no, banana matcha. I asked to get it less sweet and she said the matcha is already unsweetened but will add less corn syrup to the banana matcha. We confirm the order again. 1 banana matcha less sweet and 1 yuzu matcha less sweet. We said okay. We were especially excited to try the banana matcha. Order comes out, and it's a banana coffee drink...lol. I tell her we ordered a banana matcha and then she goes to tell me that they don't have banana matcha drink, only a banana coffee drink... SMH.. I'm so confused why she couldn't tell us that when we were ordering and while we were confirming twice?? We already had to correct her and confirmed it twice and then she goes to tell me that drink doesn't exist..???? Drinks were nothing to write home about. Would not come again. Especially with the parking situation and the weird experience. There's so many better cafes in the area, it's sadly a pass for me.
I went to 6XS Coffee Shop for the first time over the weekend with a girlfriend, and it was so delicious! I've been having a hard time finding a coffee shop that makes drinks with real coffee flavor NOT just all milk and this place totally nailed it. Will be coming back! The ambience is super chill. You can hang out at coffee shop while you're drinking your coffee or on the go. the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
My partner and I shared the Golden Hour (non coffee) drink since we wanted something light for post lunch. The drink was light and refreshing. It mainly just tasted like an iced peppermint tea with a slight citrusy taste from the yuzu.

I'm a sucker for pretty colors & blue curaçao. It went so well with the espresso. Will definitely be back for it. The Cloud latte was decent but the vanilla wasn't as strong as we would've liked. The dirty matcha was strong in espresso, and unfortunately overpowered any sort of matcha that was in it. Overall, a cute café: I don't think I got the right drink this time, so I'll need to try again another time!
I've been to a lot of coffee roasteries around LA, and this is the first time I've ever been charged sales tax on a bag of whole bean coffee. That really threw me off. I literally just grabbed a bag of whole beans, paid, and left--no drinks, no other items--and it took less than two minutes. Whole beans for home consumption are typically not taxed in California, so this felt incorrect. Please don't run your business this way--it comes across as misleading to customers. The coffee itself was fine, but this experience left a bad impression. I'd recommend double-checking pricing practices so customers aren't surprised at checkout.

Cozy and artsy coffee spot in ktown. The drinks looked very creative and yummy, and the prices are pretty reasonable. I ordered online for pickup, and the drinks came out quickly after we walked there. I tried the 6xs cloud which was rlly solid. I liked the vanilla foam and love the base latte. The matcha latte was also pretty good but not at rok/damo level. I'd def recommend the coffee over matcha here. I'll be coming back to solo study and work remote here cause there are outlets, WiFi, and two tables with seating. The inside is pretty small and no associated parking. Also, rlly appreciate how there's lots of sunlight and good lighting here. It didn't seem too busy on Friday morning, so I'll come back next time to enjoy the yummy drinks and try studying here. read more

Tucked away and a little hard to spot, but worth the hunt! This place is small with just a few seats, so it feels cozy and intimate. I ordered the 6XS Dirty Matcha - it was good, but my husband warned me it's on the stronger side for matcha (and he was right!). He got the 6XS Cloud, and honestly, I liked his better than mine. He said it was pretty strong too, but not as punchy as mine, and thankfully not too sweet. We also grabbed food: I had the ham and cheese croissant and he got the garlic cheese bagel. Both had a surprising hint of sweetness to them, so be prepared for that. The bagel definitely delivers on garlic flavor though - lots of it! Bonus: they gave us 15% off for buying a drink and pastry together, which was a nice touch. Would I go back? Yes - just maybe I'll order what my husband got next time! read more

I don't leave negative reviews often, but this was genuinely one of the worst cortados I've ever been served. The drink was extremely hot--to the point where it wasn't drinkable at all. Beyond the temperature, the cortado was simply poorly executed from start to finish. The balance, texture, and overall execution fell well below what I'd expect from a specialty coffee shop. I managed to take only one sip before deciding to throw the entire drink away. That's something I never do, especially with specialty coffee, but it was that disappointing. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and I appreciate that. However, the staff needs serious training on the drinks and quality control. If the team can't execute even a solid cortado, it would honestly be better to remove it from the menu than continue serving a drink of this quality. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing enough that I wouldn't return for another cortado. read more

Their new drink Oak Su Su will drive any corn lover (like me) crazy. Tastes like the Korean corn chips with a shot of espresso and is the combination that I didn't know I needed. Stopped in on a Saturday at 2/3 pm and there was ample seating despite only having a total of 5-6 tables! They were playing hip hop so already puts it at the top of my list. Clean bathroom as well. read more

I'm glad I gave this place another shot. I've tried two of their drinks before through Doordash and they fell short but I tried the Greycano & Cloud this time and they both exceeded my expectations! The Americano in the Greycano was a bit sour on its own but mixed in with the Earl Grey Foam, the drink was DIVINE! I love the creaminess of the drink without all the sweetness that you usually taste in lattes. read more

We grabbed two drinks and a canele. the canele was soggy which was super disappointing. the matcha latte was on the sweeter end and wasn't very rich/strong. the latte and cream top were both just average. unfortunately, i wouldn't come back. i think there are just so many cafes around koreatown that it's hard to be impressed by a drink that's just okay or average. service was good and there's some seating available. parking is kind of difficult because it's just street parking. read more

Listen. The Ube Latte was literally perfection - just the right amount of sweetness, very savory, and refreshing. The ham and cheese croissant was perfectly warmed and the garlic aioli was a great addition. I found this place walking in the area, so I'm not sure about parking. Definitely my top 5 coffee spots in Ktown! (Or Downtown LA) I just loveeee the taste of their coffee. Back when I first went here, I had their Malibu Latte. I can't find the photo but oh my, that was very interesting and refreshing. It had a hint of mild orange flavor with the right amount of caffeine. My go-to is 6xs Mello. I could drink 10 of these in a day, but that would be dangerous. That foam on top, with the right amount of sweetness and caramel flavor, and their beans... their BEANS. It's just perfect for it I would say! Next fave would be the Tower Cold Brew. This is perfect for anyone trying to avoid any sugar or milk in the morning but needs a good kick to wake up. I usually don't like cold brews because it gets a little sour and feels too acidic. This is just amazing, and I don't need to add anything else and I drink away like there's no tomorrow. I also order when I'm at work (when I don't wake up early enough to pass by the cafe) and usually I find great deals using ubereats, and get their 1+1 deal. I'd recommend this place especially for coffee lovers that love less sour tasting espresso. 10/10 It can be addictive so be careful read more
This is an adorable cafe near hope and 9th street in DTLA. The interior is cheery and adorable with a very good Feng shui esthetic. Bright colors, comfy chairs, cute trinkets lined up along the wall. Made me want to hangout for a while which is rare in LA. Service was kind, patient and friendly. I ordered an iced oatmilk matcha and matcha was high quality. I will be returning to try the coffee. Had to find a place to do some remote work while my friend was exploring LA, and this place was super convenient since it was located somewhat near a Metro stop. WHAT I ORDERED: Malibu latte THE COFFEE: I always fall for an aesthetic drink, and the Malibu latte was all over these Yelp and Google reviews, so I had to try it! I was actually surprised at how much I liked it. The espresso was very good, and the blue curacao actually added a light citrusy flavor to it which complemented the coffee well. SERVICE: Pretty standard service, and the barista was happy to answer my questions. VIBES: Very aesthetically pleasing space, and decent place to get some work done. Here's my checklist: * OUTLETS: Yes * WIFI/INTERNET: Yes, not too bad. * VOLUME: Not too loud, but there are people catching up and hanging out there so it's not silent. * SEATING AVAILABILITY: Not super abundant, but I was able to find a few spots open on a weekday late morning. * BATHROOMS: Yes * LAPTOP FRIENDLINESS: No restrictions BOTTOM LINE: I always hate it when a place is pretty but the quality doesn't live up to it, but this place definitely is not that. It's a small coffee shop, but I really enjoyed what I ordered. The cream was smooth, and the coffee itself was very good. The portion felt a bit small, but the quality made up for it. One downside is that there's very limited seating, and the sink area near the restroom looked a little messy when I walked by. That said, it's still a nice spot for a good cup of coffee, and I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area. read more

Coffee with cloud foam are my go-tos and this coffee shop had what I needed. If you're checking out Cafe Liu's next door, would definitely recommend coming here for your coffee while waiting in line for the Cafe. I love the vibe here as you walk in. Especially when you take a walk into the back, it has a cute set up with a projector film of the DTLA location. Parking is a hit or miss, but there are definitely markets around if you are planning to grocery shop. read more

TLDR: Good service, cool vibe and good coffee. Only miss is the parking (to be expected) and noise levels This place has been on my list for a minute and to get the cloud drink as seen on tik tok, but spoiler alert I think I got something much better. Order: Dirty Matcha Latte: 5/5 I don't buy matcha maybe because everyone makes it so different and its pricey but most importantly is that I need caffeine that will actually make me feel something. So when I saw that this was on the menu (first time of such a combo) I was skeptical because 1. will the matcha me good and 2. will the espresso overpower? the barista reassured me by telling me their process and the selection. I was convinced. I did properly taste the matcha and not much of the espresso but it was a delightful combination that you best believe I'll get when done right! Best of both worlds for me. Price was right too! Ambiance: 4/5 Truly the only ding is that the noise level can be quite loud and when its packed its overstimulating and crammed w the music on blast too. A perk however is that there are seats more toward the bathroom which help with all 3 of the subjective issues. Service: 5/5 They seemed quite nice and friendly! Parking: 3/5 It is what it is in Koreatown. A plus like anything else here is coming on a sunday because its free meters. If I'm in the area id definitely come back! read more

Was craving a refreshing drink on a hot day and have been wanting to try 6xs so came here! It was the perfect decision because they have lemonade drinks such as the Ocean Ade and Ruby Ade that are comparable to Starbucks Refreshers but arguably better. I personally enjoyed the Ocean Ade over the Ruby Ade, it uses butterfly pea while the Ruby uses hibiscus. The matcha was also pretty good, the milk they used gave the drink some weight and slight creaminess and agave sweetener didn't overpower the matcha flavor. Also liked how this place was decorated. They used the have a furniture store down the block but I believe it's now moving to somewhere in DTLA. The girl taking our order was patient and helpful in providing recommendations. I'll come back to try their coffee a different day! read more

I definitely enjoyed the 6xs Mello coffee here and would recommend it. This spot was a bit small and was busy on a weekday afternoon, but there are a good amount of tables and seats with free wifi available. I didn't like the ambiance because I felt the music was too loud and made it hard if I wanted to focus on work or talk with a friend. Their 6ixthsense cold brew was solid, but I enjoyed their Mello the most because it had a really good sweet cream and a hint of caramel. Overall a solid spot but it wouldn't be my go to, especially if I wanted a spot to study or do work. read more

The coffee selection is amazing! I got the 6XS Cloud Latte; on the creamier side for a coffee (5/10 sweetness level which is perfect for me). For it to have the foam top, it was pretty cheap ($6.50). I also liked the ambiance in there; the color combination made it feel warm. There's some tables and benches in there, and surprisingly not too crowded where I felt like I can't enjoy my coffee in there. Overall, give it a solid 8/10 :) read more

So the 5 star review is for their Dirty Matcha. It is so fire. I know there are a lot of dirty matcha haters in the world but if it's your thing, 6XS has one of my favorites ! This trip though I decided to get the cloud latte. It was almost too sweet but tasted okay once I mixed it up. It wasn't "bad" by any means but I can't see myself ordering it again. I think I learned a lesson to not order anything other than my classic dirty matcha read more

We got the matcha latte and Greycano (Earl grey) and even though I am new in drinking coffee based drinks surprisingly the Earl Grey is easy to drink due to the sweetness of the cream on top. My boyfriend really liked his matcha latte since it was a nice blend of sweetness and caffeine. Our waitress is nice enough to recommend us to add an extra shot of syrup to accommodate the bitterness of the Americano in the earl grey. Very cute spot to study and talk with friends in the cafe. read more
