I ordered a Gibraltar and overall it was a solid drink with a nice presentation. The latte art was clean, the milk was initially well integrated, and the drink started with decent body and texture. The biggest issue was temperature. It was served hotter than a Gibraltar should be, which made it difficult to pick up the coffee's sweetness and flavor nuances early on. The heat overpowered the cup and muted much of what the coffee had to offer. As the drink cooled, more character started to come through, but the body and texture began to thin out through the middle of the cup. The drink became noticeably more watery and didn't retain its crema and microfoam particularly well, causing it to lose some of the structure and richness it had when first served. Overall, a Solid Gibraltar with good fundamentals and a nice presentation. read more

Incredible just incredible! I was driving around town and was in need of a coffee treat. Saw the reviews, came here and almost didn't leave the car. The shopping center felt sad and run down. Once I figured out how to get inside, I was greeted by a friendly nod and an amazing coffee menu. It was hard to decide but I ventured for Rosemary Bee and was blown away by the overall quality of coffee. The barista is a coffee artist. You can see how I gulped half of it before taking the photo. I wish I lived closer -- this would easily be my regular coffee spot. I want to try everything. read more

Just stopping by for quick cup of joe and I getting hooked by their Bori Caramel, which was essentially their housemade Caramel Latte. It was a tad on sweeter side, but still suited my liking especially going with almond milk as the coffee was strong enough so the sweetness did help balancing it. I loved the simply calming and quiet ambiance, very helpful if you're trying to find a space to focus. The store itself was very small, simple and clean. They have a rack of magazine to look through while you wait. Not too busy on a Saturday morning, so it was a nice quiet atmosphere. I got the pumpkin spice latte and bacon quiche. The latte was pretty good; not too sweet or bitter. I wish the pumpkin spice flavor was a little stronger though. The quiche was definitely the best part of this trip. One of the best quiches I've had in a while! Delicious creamy egg flavor with some nice bacon flavor. Even better was that the store heated it up perfectly too! Most places only warm it up to a lukewarm temperature, but the quiche here was hot enough to enjoy on a cold morning but not enough to burn your mouth. I've tried every latte from SPL, my favorite being the Iced Rosemary Bee latte, but they're all delicious. Not overly sweet and super cold to the point of feeling refreshing. I'll first start off this review with parking. There is a parking lot but from my view it looked full or close to full. I did see some parking spaces available, however, the available space(s) looked tight, so, I just opted to pay street parking. I found a spot super close, and it was so much easier and convenient for me. When I entered, there were people studying/ on their laptops, however, no one in line. It seemed like a great place to study/ work as the noise level is minimal; quiet, actually. I was able to order right away. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. No surprise, this is my usual-go-to order. It wasn't my favorite. It had a peculiar vanilla taste. It was definitely different but not in a good way. Average. Sorry, but definitely not "bomb ass coffee." Cute sign that reads, "spill the beans" and I enjoyed that it was truly an iced drink. Love the ice cubes they use. read more

I was here around 8AM to kill some time before heading in for an appointment somewhere. I love that they're open early. There isn't much in the area open before 9-10 in the morning. I ordered a hot americano with a chocolate croissant to eat there and a matcha latte to take with me. Everything tasted great. Inside, it's nice and cute and clean. People are friendly, both behind the counter and at the tables. Parking is free and supple (which is a huge surprise and a plus for Koreatown). Literally what more can I ask for from a cafe? SPL nails everything. And I was blessed to see a cute doggo on a coffee run with the owner right before I left.
