Incredible just incredible! I was driving around town and was in need of a coffee treat. Saw the reviews, came here and almost didn't leave the car. The shopping center felt sad and run down. Once I figured out how to get inside, I was greeted by a friendly nod and an amazing coffee menu. It was hard to decide but I ventured for Rosemary Bee and was blown away by the overall quality of coffee. The barista is a coffee artist. You can see how I gulped half of it before taking the photo. I wish I lived closer -- this would easily be my regular coffee spot. I want to try everything. read more

Cute place! Was driving by and stopped by to have some coffee. Plenty of street parking and spots in their lot as well. Very clean cafe with decent amount of seating - it wasn't crowded whatsoever. Another spot in K-town, which I might save on the list of 'to-repeat'. Just stopping by for quick cup of joe and I getting hooked by their Bori Caramel, which was essentially their housemade Caramel Latte. It was a tad on sweeter side, but still suited my liking especially going with almond milk as the coffee was strong enough so the sweetness did help balancing it. I loved the simply calming and quiet ambiance, very helpful if you're trying to find a space to focus. This coffee shop could be moved to a beach town and fit right in. The look of the shop and the baristas are gruel (great&cool). I've tried every latte from SPL, my favorite being the Iced Rosemary Bee latte, but they're all delicious. Not overly sweet and super cold to the point of feeling refreshing. The store itself was very small, simple and clean. They have a rack of magazine to look through while you wait. Not too busy on a Saturday morning, so it was a nice quiet atmosphere. I got the pumpkin spice latte and bacon quiche. The latte was pretty good; not too sweet or bitter. I wish the pumpkin spice flavor was a little stronger though. The quiche was definitely the best part of this trip. One of the best quiches I've had in a while! Delicious creamy egg flavor with some nice bacon flavor. Even better was that the store heated it up perfectly too! Most places only warm it up to a lukewarm temperature, but the quiche here was hot enough to enjoy on a cold morning but not enough to burn your mouth. SPL coffee is pretty good! I didn't buy it myself but I always go with my boyfriend and take sips of his. We also sometimes share the avocado toast, but it is super pricey. Inside has a good space for studying and relaxing. However, the location is not necessarily the nicest. They are quick to make your drink. read more

Back to my work coffee tour, had a great experience at spl. Parking was easy to find, the ship itself was clean and empty easygoing music playing in the background and the workers were friendly. The coffee I had an iced caramel latte and you could definitely taste the caramel without the drink being overpowered by it and it still had that strong but subtle coffee kick. read more

SPL takes the award for the best iced vanilla latte in LA. There was just something so different about it and believe me I've been to all the top coffee shops within 10 miles. I got a caramel latte with oat milk ($7.50) and it was so good! I haven't gone to any cafes in the past couple months, let alone get any lattes from anywhere, so this is my first one in months and it was worth it. The overall vibe of the place is very clean aesthetic and just so pleasing to look at. Barista who made my drink did a great job and lowkey had a very nice aura lol. Great spot for coffee in Koreatown! I usually just get their Iced Americano and it tastes great. The baristas are always so kind, too. I've seen people come here to read, journal, etc (quiet and calm ambiance) but it's also perfect for a quick pick me up. read more

My group enjoyed the coffee and matcha on 2/1. Unfortunately the lady up front that took our order was a huge damper lol. She looked miserable and hated her life. Don't need to fake being happy, but maybe be mildly pleasant? Made us not feel welcomed in the shop at all. I wanted to get our drinks and leave asap. Shop was empty when we went lol. It is cute though. They have pastries and tables to sit and hang for a bit. We don't frequent this little area so we probably don't need to go back. read more

I'll first start off this review with parking. There is a parking lot but from my view it looked full or close to full. I did see some parking spaces available, however, the available space(s) looked tight, so, I just opted to pay street parking. I found a spot super close, and it was so much easier and convenient for me. When I entered, there were people studying/ on their laptops, however, no one in line. It seemed like a great place to study/ work as the noise level is minimal; quiet, actually. I was able to order right away. I got an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. No surprise, this is my usual-go-to order. It wasn't my favorite. It had a peculiar vanilla taste. It was definitely different but not in a good way. Average. Sorry, but definitely not "bomb ass coffee." Cute sign that reads, "spill the beans" and I enjoyed that it was truly an iced drink. Love the ice cubes they use. read more

This is a spacious cute cafe in Korean town LA. I've tried iced rosemary bee latte (syrup made in house) and it was good. I've gotten mine with light on syrup and it was perfect amount of sweetness. Truly an unsuspectingly spectacular coffee spot! My friend and I made our way over on a Sunday morning and we both got the rosemary bee latte. The rosemary (subtle yet distinct) + honey combination actually worked well -- honestly, it sounded like one of those gimmicky flavors but I genuinely enjoyed each sip. cute little hole in the wall! Coffee was decent, they have seating, wifi, and parking. Though the area surrounding the place is a bit broken down, the coffee shop itself is very cute. I was here around 8AM to kill some time before heading in for an appointment somewhere. I love that they're open early. There isn't much in the area open before 9-10 in the morning. I ordered a hot americano with a chocolate croissant to eat there and a matcha latte to take with me. Everything tasted great. Inside, it's nice and cute and clean. People are friendly, both behind the counter and at the tables. Parking is free and supple (which is a huge surprise and a plus for Koreatown). Literally what more can I ask for from a cafe? SPL nails everything. And I was blessed to see a cute doggo on a coffee run with the owner right before I left. Assuming this means they're dog-friendly, I'm definitely going to be back to support this place. Maybe next time I'll try their more hyped drinks! read more

Everything from napkins to drink caddies to straws to drink sleeves were self serve, which I appreciated. Not to mention the free stickers! The drinks were on the sweeter side, which is what I prefer, but not too sweet that it drowns out the matcha flavor. The double matcha was topped with a thick layer of sweet cream which balanced nicely with the slight matcha bitterness. The jasmine matcha, which was the seasonal drink, was very jasmine forward and garnished with flowers (I ended up spitting them out; had the texture of disintegrating paper straws). Otherwise, it was one of the better matchas I've had, especially because it didn't make me feel jittery. The vibe was quiet, clean, and minimalistic. The chairs looked straight out of a modern art museum. It's like musical chairs, but the loser still gets a chair, just one without back support. This is my first time visiting a matcha shop in LA, and the bar has been set very high!

Quality Control is literally near perfect and no matter how busy they are, they are very quick to make your drink. The matcha is so well balanced - you can actually taste the matcha, not too sweet, and creamy too. They also sprinkle sea salt on top which helps enhance the matcha flavor. My only complaint is that I wish the cup was bigger. - Breakfast Sliders: I wasn't expecting much from the sliders, but everyone always hypes up their slides, so I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The egg is so fluffy and the sauces that come with it are so delicious, especially their hot sauced. I added bacon and avocado too and it was great. - Pistachio Toast: I feel like their pistachio toast is not talked about enough. It was so yummy and satisfying that I wish I could get another one. The toast is hearty and the pistachio spread with sea salt, olive oil, and olive oil is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about their toast. Although it is quite pricey, I think the taste and quality justify the price. The interior is small and there's about 6 tables outside which is pretty crowded so you might have to take it elsewhere to enjoy.
