Sharp is a classic Ktown cafe neighbored by many Ktown cafes. I got an iced latte, and their coffee is chocolatey and smoky but a little watery. I can't tell if that's the nature of the espresso or if they use 2% milk. The barista was very friendly and let me take my time to go through the menu, although in hindsight I probably should've tried the cold brew because they seem to be more well-known for that. They're also known for being extremely studyable, although the non-picnic tables are stupid high compared to the chairs and it's a little too dark. They have lots of outlets and tables, though.

Sharp is such an appropriate name, because the beans here nearly nail it. I enjoyed the bold, nutty texture of the beans here, specifically in the Iced Latte. There's Wi-Fi, the option of large tables, high tables, or smaller tables - all which are wood. The atmosphere? Clean, with a variety of lighting - neither too bright nor too dark - and inviting. Best times to come? Well, that depends on if parking is an issue! Parking is generally easier after 4pm with less restrictions, and it's mainly street parking, which, if you're familiar with Koreatown can be a nuisance at times. Service was pretty quick upon walking in, and while waiting for your drink, you can browse the lightly decorated shelves or add a message to the community chalkboard.
Hidden little coffee spot in Koreatown. Friendly staff was quick on taking orders and making each drink. Quiet space for working on a project or simply studying while drinking some coffee or getting a quick bite. Opted for their Honey Cinnamon Latte and it was just a work of art from the coffee pairing along with the milk, honey, and cinnamon. Will stop by again in the future for another great cup of coffee!
If I lived in LA, I think I'd be here too much. Beautiful latte art that stuns for Yelp or Instagram, but the taste is also out of this world. On another occasion, I went and got a coconut cream latte (I might be butchering the name) that was on special. Out of this world!!! I'd recommend not sleeping on the specials. My friend who is a local has Matthew remembering his order so kudos for remembering the regulars!!
I was searching for a place to sit and do some work on my laptop for a few hours. I was happy to stop by Sharp Specialty Coffee. The store was located off of 6th St, which was very busy. I parked off of Catalina St and walked over instead. This was good for 2 hour parking. I went around 9:00 AM on a Saturday. There wasn't other customers at the time, so I was able to order right away. I also got my order within 2 minutes. After looking at the menu, I ordered the Spanish latte from the signature section. This was a strong and sweet latte with a cinnamon taste. I also got the banana bread. It wasn't too sweet, had nuts and bits of chocolate in it. I did also the staff to heat it up, but it was still cold. But overall, I felt it was a good combination. I sat at the wooden bench to stay close to an outlet. The music wasn't too loud and wasn't distracting. It felt like a quiet and cozy store. There was also free WiFi. They do have a restroom in the back of the store and it was kept clean. I stayed there close to 3 hours and there wasn't a lot of people coming through. Definitely felt like an underrated store!
I am sad to say that Sharp has officially shut down. I reached out to them on Instagram and they confirmed they closed down permanently. The prices had gotten too expensive for me to go often anymore but it had great vibes and friendly workers.
I visited after they recently reopened--they had been closed since last December--and the cortado was incredible! The aroma and taste were amazing, easily the best coffee I've had recently. The café has such a great atmosphere, and the staff are super friendly. With coffee this good, I highly recommend it!!!
Got the cloudy mint and it was great with a solid mint flavor exuding from the fresh mint leaves, while pairing with the cold foam. WiFi was strong despite having many people on their laptops. There was only one staff but she was amazing taking all orders and putting out drinks at record speed. There's plenty of seating. In true ktown fashion, parking is very limited.
Another finding in Ktown, with tricky parking given it is located right by the main road. The place has more dim lighting that I thought but still quite accommodating space for working with plenty of seats and some power outlets. I arrived mid afternoon and they only had very few pastries left on the showcase. Initially, I was eyeing their taiyaki, which was disappointingly not available as the machine was down. I ended up getting the chocolate custard muffin, which wasn't my favorite not to say it's bad but just not wow. As per the barista's recommendation, I tried the Spanish latte, which was interestingly served with not only cinnamon powder, but also cinnamon stick inside the cup. I loved that I could feel the cinnamon hint but just at the right extent that it was not overpowering the entire coffee taste. It was a bit too sweet vs my preference, but overall I was still enjoying it. I wouldn't say this would be my favorite place to go, but surely could be an option when being around the area.
Solid coffee, but nothing that sets it apart from the coffee at other great cafes. Parking is a struggle. The ambiance of the cafe is great and there's a lot of space and seating to get work done. I would stop by if I were in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
Baristas with Sharp skills give us the thrill to get us up that hill to make that dollar bill and have us coming back? You know they will. At least I know I will definitely be coming back. I started off with two of their signatures and I'm going say right off the bat that I'm definitely a fan. The Cloudy Mint was the first drink I had and it's a cold brew with maple syrup with mint topped with house-made cream. Now swirl it together and it's definitely refreshing and even though I'm not fond of minty drinks it worked. Next was the Cream Mocha that came with a house-made mocha and cream top and it was another solid flavorful drink. The atmosphere is still and chill with plenty of seating and the decor is rustic and calming. The Baristas are definitely Sharp but unfortunately the service is quite dull both times I've gone but hey not all baristas are friendly. And that's my take, Peace.
The cafe had a clean modern look. It was a Saturday morning, so not too many people had arrived yet, making it a very peaceful atmosphere. Since it was my first time here, the staff was very helpful in recommending items to try. I ended up choosing the Cream Mocha and pumpkin spice donut. The coffee was more bitter than I would have liked, but it paired well with the cream top, which was wonderfully creamy and tasty.The pumpkin spice donut was also delicious. I highly recommend having it warmed up! I will definitely be returning again to try their other menu options!
Nice coffee option in Ktown that you might easily miss. Came here in the morning looking for something sweet and got a hot Mocha Latte. The drink was pretty balanced, not too sweet. The barista was nice and the order came out promptly. From the street the coffee shop doesn't look too big but the interior is actually quite large. The vibe is super cozy and they have different areas to study, work, or catch up with a friends. The design is minimalist and pretty relaxing, I can definitely see spending a couple of hours here. read more
cloudy mint ($7) - massive glass of coffee it kept me awake through my study sesh - pretty good i like how it wasn't too sour and it came with cream top so the coffee wouldn't be too bitter after you mix it rating: 4/5 - massive studying space and i liked the ambiance because everyone was also working so it was pretty quiet - not the best lighting so you might get sleepy eventually but drink was massive and decent; it'd keep you awake - if i go back to ktown i wouldnt visit again though because there are places with better drinks, lighting, and vibe; this spot however would be good for getting work done so that'd be the only reason i come back IG: @nom.noms.only read more

1. This was my first time trying fruit candy, and the sticky texture was interesting! The strawberry mojito was definitely refreshing! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes that is good for productivity! 3. There were many indoor seatings! 4. The staff were friendly and timely with my order! 5. been loving studying at cafes and sipping on arguably overpriced drinks and sharp coffee fits my list quite well. there are plenty of seats and many outlets which makes this a really great study spot! would recommend noise cancelling headphones/earbuds because the music is a little loud. important to note that street parking is limited and is metered but I happened to get lucky also noteable mention that they use stereoscope coffee in their drinks! the spanish latte and mocha latte with oatmilk taste fantastic. only downside is that a stinky man sat next to me for a few hours but that is not the cafe's fault read more
Came for a quick stop to grab some coffee and I really had no idea there was a coffee shop here. I'm always eating and hanging out in the area and I can't believe I've overlooked this spot The cafe is spacious with a lot of room to eat, drink coffee, hangout or do some work. The service was top notch. Went over and beyond explaining the popular items on the menu and if I can customize an order. I ended up getting the honey cinnamon latte made extra sweet. If you like honey, go with this one! The cafe is very clean and looks super modern. Only thing is parking. You can try and find street parking or pay for parking in the parking lots around the area. read more

Strawberry matcha latte: 3.5/5 if you're looking for matcha there are better options in ktown $7.50 Chocolate croissant: it's just a regular croissant so decent for the price (5.50) Lots of seating and outlets, so it's nice if you're looking for a place to study or chill! 4.5 stars. Only reason being I didn't fully taste their espresso pull due to getting a specialty drink. Love the space here. It's got industrial vibes, and is spacious enough for some people to work here. The shop is dog friendly and has treats behind the counter as well. I got a honey cinnamon latte -- well incorporated milk, great flavour, a delicious drink. However the almond danish is the star here. I didn't have it warmed, but the almonds are fresh and crunchy (not always true on pastries!!), and the pastry is flaky and buttery. There's barely anyone on a Sunday morning (before 9am), I hope it gets packed later since it's such a great shop. read more
Great place to do work! I love finding coffee shops that have free wifi, good drinks, and lots of seating. This coffee shop definitely checks all the boxes. Many people were here doing work so it wasn't too loud. There were many drinks to choose from but I ended up trying the spanish latte and cream mocha. The spanish latte is definitely for cinnamon lovers - so delish. The cream mocha was not too sweet which I loved. I only hate how it's hard to find parking. There is a parking garage next door but it's $15 for the whole day. Or you could try to find street parking which won't be too bad on the weekdays. I'll definitely come back again to study here though! read more
I'm so happy to have finally tried this coffeeshop! The vibes of this place are more dark and intimate. It's fairly dim in a way that feels quite cozy and has a lot of wooden tables and plants. They had soft jazz music playing. In terms of the drinks, they have a number of specialty drinks, which all sounded really good. I ordered the Strawberry Milk, and it was exactly what I wanted. The drink was sweet without being too sweet, and the strawberry taste was still present. I also love when there are real strawberry chunks at the bottom. My friend also liked her Spanish Latte. The only disappointment was this gluten-free chocolate muffin; I would definitely skip that in the future. The baristas were super friendly and efficient with taking orders and making drinks. Overall, Sharp checks off a lot of the boxes for a great study space--big tables, quiet environment, good Internet, and yummy drinks. They are also open late on Fridays and Saturdays! The only downside is parking, which is kind of hard in the area, but you can always try for street parking or pay for one of the lots. I'll be back for sure whenever I need a study spot. read more
This spot is just okay for coffee. It can be extremely loud when there are groups in here given the way the space is designed and all the sound echos, on top of that, they have loud music that makes it worse so it can be difficult to get work done. I ordered the iced Spanish latte with light ice. The cashier was kind enough to ask if I'm okay with sweet drinks and for this type I was fine with it. Even though I asked for light ice, half my cup was ice. And it hardly tasted like a "Spanish" latte or any flavor of the sweetened condense milk and cinnamon. Although it was "sweet" it wasn't as sweet as the cashier made it seem to be. The coffee tasted decent at least so there's that. read more

Overall: The coffee was okay (at least the one I ordered was) but is a great place to study Its located in the center of ktown so its pretty much street parking in the area. Was looking for a coffee shop to get some work done at so I decided to try Sharp since it looked like they had a lot of seating! They have a few big tables and a couple of smaller ones. They also have lots of outlets so its really ideal for studying. I got the cloudy mint and it was okay. I thought it would be creamier like the Philz' Mint Mojito but it was not the case. It wasn't very minty either. I didn't try their food or pastries but it looked good. Someone next to me ordered an avocado toast and it was STACKED with avocados on top lol! read more

Parking here can be tough as it's ktown but saw this spot and thought it looked cute. Guy at the register was nice but they don't offer nonfat milk. This is one of their speciality coffee, the cloudy mocha. He said it's better cold since hot will melt the cream. $7 - sounds about right for a small coffee shop read more

STRAWBERRY MILK! I really liked the vibes here. Super calm and comfy at the same time. Staff was nice and friendly and drinks came out quickly. Plenty of seating options and the shop was very clean. Highly recommend the strawberry milk drink, sweet and tasty! read more

Drinks are a solid 4, but the space makes it a 5. Tried their Honey Cinnamon Latte, Spanish Latte, Sweet Cold Brew Latte, Strawberry Milk, and a Caramel Latte. Out of all these, I'd get the Honey Cinnamon Latte and Strawberry Milk again. The other ones just weren't as tasty--Spanish Latte didn't have enough cinnamon despite having a whole cinnamon stick in it, Sweet Cold Brew Latte was a normal & okay latte, and the Caramel Latte tasted burnt somehow. If you're looking for a place to work in, this is a great spot. Tons of tables, a good amount outlets, and plenty of other people on their laptops. read more
omg!!! this place is literally such a gem my friend and I came here to study on a Saturday, and it did not disappoint! the ambiance is soooo pretty, there's large windows near the entrance of the store so there's sunlight streaming in and the place is a bit dimmed but still bright enough for working!! there's tons of space to study, there's benches and I believe a counter bar table lined up against the entrance! the benches were super spacious, outlets were against the wall, and most importantly FREE WIFII!! the workers were also super duper nice!! my friend and I had ordered two lattes, but were given two free pastries bc the workers had felt bad for taking a while in making our drinks ( they didn't tho!! it took around like 5-10 mins!!) anyway I will definitely be coming back thw drinks were firee!! and were decently priced love this place! read more
