The vibe is super cozy and they have different areas to study, work, or catch up with a friends. Been here a few times already and love the vibe. Minimal, warm, and always a good playlist softly playing in the background. Free wifi as well. Sharp is a classic Ktown cafe neighbored by many Ktown cafes. I got an iced latte, and their coffee is chocolatey and smoky but a little watery. I can't tell if that's the nature of the espresso or if they use 2% milk. The barista was very friendly and let me take my time to go through the menu, although in hindsight I probably should've tried the cold brew because they seem to be more well-known for that. They're also known for being extremely studyable, although the non-picnic tables are stupid high compared to the chairs and it's a little too dark. I was searching for a place to sit and do some work on my laptop for a few hours. I was happy to stop by Sharp Specialty Coffee. The store was located off of 6th St, which was very busy. I parked off of Catalina St and walked over instead. This was good for 2 hour parking. I went around 9:00 AM on a Saturday. There wasn't other customers at the time, so I was able to order right away. I also got my order within 2 minutes. After looking at the menu, I ordered the Spanish latte from the signature section. This was a strong and sweet latte with a cinnamon taste. I also got the banana bread. It wasn't too sweet, had nuts and bits of chocolate in it. I did also the staff to heat it up, but it was still cold. But overall, I felt it was a good combination. I sat at the wooden bench to stay close to an outlet. The music wasn't too loud and wasn't distracting. It felt like a quiet and cozy store. There was also free WiFi. They do have a restroom in the back of the store and it was kept clean. I stayed there close to 3 hours and there wasn't a lot of people coming through. Definitely felt like an underrated store! read more

The place has more dim lighting that I thought but still quite accommodating space for working with plenty of seats and some power outlets. I arrived mid afternoon and they only had very few pastries left on the showcase. Initially, I was eyeing their taiyaki, which was disappointingly not available as the machine was down. I ended up getting the chocolate custard muffin, which wasn't my favorite not to say it's bad but just not wow. As per the barista's recommendation, I tried the Spanish latte, which was interestingly served with not only cinnamon powder, but also cinnamon stick inside the cup. I loved that I could feel the cinnamon hint but just at the right extent that it was not overpowering the entire coffee taste. It was a bit too sweet vs my preference, but overall I was still enjoying it. I started off with two of their signatures and I'm going say right off the bat that I'm definitely a fan. The Cloudy Mint was the first drink I had and it's a cold brew with maple syrup with mint topped with house-made cream. Now swirl it together and it's definitely refreshing and even though I'm not fond of minty drinks it worked. Next was the Cream Mocha that came with a house-made mocha and cream top and it was another solid flavorful drink. The atmosphere is still and chill with plenty of seating and the decor is rustic and calming. The cafe had a clean modern look. It was a Saturday morning, so not too many people had arrived yet, making it a very peaceful atmosphere. Since it was my first time here, the staff was very helpful in recommending items to try. I ended up choosing the Cream Mocha and pumpkin spice donut. The spanish latte is definitely for cinnamon lovers - so delish. The cream mocha was not too sweet which I loved. I only hate how it's hard to find parking. There is a parking garage next door but it's $15 for the whole day. Or you could try to find street parking which won't be too bad on the weekdays. I'm so happy to have finally tried this coffeeshop! The vibes of this place are more dark and intimate. It's fairly dim in a way that feels quite cozy and has a lot of wooden tables and plants. They had soft jazz music playing. In terms of the drinks, they have a number of specialty drinks, which all sounded really good. I ordered the Strawberry Milk, and it was exactly what I wanted. The drink was sweet without being too sweet, and the strawberry taste was still present. I also love when there are real strawberry chunks at the bottom. My friend also liked her Spanish Latte. The only disappointment was this gluten-free chocolate muffin; I would definitely skip that in the future. The baristas were super friendly and efficient with taking orders and making drinks. Overall, Sharp checks off a lot of the boxes for a great study space--big tables, quiet environment, good Internet, and yummy drinks. They are also open late on Fridays and Saturdays! It can be extremely loud when there are groups in here given the way the space is designed and all the sound echos, on top of that, they have loud music that makes it worse so it can be difficult to get work done. Even though I asked for light ice, half my cup was ice. And it hardly tasted like a "Spanish" latte or any flavor of the sweetened condense milk and cinnamon. My apartment building was conducting some type of test that demanded the electricity be shut off, so I was forced to find a spot to work for the day. A friend of mine always raved about how quiet, low-key, and vibey Sharp Specialty Coffee was! Not to mention she really enjoyed the drinks here. I am basic with my coffee and will usually just get an iced latte with some type of nut milk to satisfy my caffeine fix for the day. My friend recommended the hojicha latte with a shot of expresso, but I didn't see it on the menu and honestly, it slipped my mind until she later reminded me. My drink was pretty standard, the espresso was fine - not too bold. I usually like mine to be a punch in the face, but it'll do! Anyway, this is a great place to get work done / study! I will say that the tables fill up around 11a from my observation. I got here a few minutes before 8a, which allowed me to have a choice in where I wanted to sit lol. By lunch time, I ordered a ham and cheese croissant - they offered to warm it up, which I agreed - however, it was soft and no longer crunchy, which I guess is fine... I thought it was going to be one of those toaster ovens that would still keep the croissant nice and flaky, but all good. I just know not to get it warmed up next time, haha.
