Came by originally to try their cherry Matcha and passionfruit Matcha, but unfortunately, these were out of season. A little late from my end. Decided to try another signature drink-Shakerado which is three espresso and orange. Unfortunately, this drink was not of my liking. Didn't enjoy the drink I ordered, however wouldn't mind coming back next summer to try their seasonal fruit matches.
An iced Pumpkin Crème Vienna with Matcha was my choice this morning and it did not disappoint. The pumpkin pop tart was out of this world!!!! I loved the seating and atmosphere, it was very welcoming. The service was great and I'm excited to try more desserts.
I love how creative the drinks are here! The Ube matcha had a nice Ube flavor in the milk and wasn't too sweet. The space isn't that big but there are some areas for sitting and getting work done, there's WiFi, and a free parking lot, so definitely worth checking out!

The cafe is very cute, colorful very modern looking, lots of sunlight and seating as well for working studying and catching up with friends. I ordered online, and my cherry matcha latte was ready by the time I arrived. The staff was friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in. The matcha had a nice color and a mild flavor in the latte. I've been to many matcha shops, but this was my first time trying a cherry matcha latte, so it was fun to try something different! The cherry flavor was noticeable without being overly sweet or artificial. There were also bits of cherry in the drink, which personally wasn't my favorite. Next time, I'd love to try one of their drinks with the cream top.
One of the best coffee experiences I've had in Koreatown. You can immediately tell the baristas know what they're doing--the espresso was pulled beautifully and every cup was balanced and full of flavor. The coffee was so good that I ended up ordering a second drink. The Cherry Matcha was especially impressive. I wasn't sure what to expect but the sweetness, tartness and matcha were perfectly balanced without any one flavor overpowering the others. It was refreshing, unique and something I'd definitely order again. The barista who seemed to be the manager was incredibly warm and welcoming, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Great service really makes a difference. The interior is clean, modern and thoughtfully designed, creating a comfortable space to relax or catch up with friends. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area.
Was so excited to hear that Picnic Coffee opened a new location closer to me in Ktown! The interior is adorable and thoughtfully decorated with a whimsical, colorful, and retro vibe. There are a couple small tables and 2 communal tables, which makes it a great spot for chatting or getting some work done. I got the cherry matcha from their summer seasonal menu, and it was so delicious I practically inhaled it! Not overly sweet as well which I appreciated. Definitely a spot I will be visiting again! Free parking in the lot in the plaza too, which is a huge plus especially Ktown.
Visiting L.A.'s Koreatown after over a decade is such a mind blowing experience. Just like in Seoul, you can't walk 2-3 blocks without seeing a Korean-inspired cafe. L.A. is so lucky. As a tea lover and yes, an absolute slut for matcha lattes and all the variations that come with that, Picnic was def one of the cafes I had to visit. I'd say it was in my Top 3 of cafes for tea lattes I visited. I am a sucker for a classic matcha latte, but had to go for their seasonal special matcha corn cream top latte. Korea does corn flavors like no other country, and my god it was delicious and such a tasty combo. You know those turtle chip sweet corn flavor or like the pops cereal? That's what it reminded me of. Fantastic consistency and thicc with flavor. FYI Picnic is hella accessible via public transportation. Just a short block/walk from the Metro bus station, I didn't have to deal with parking. The lot is tiny-ish but spacious early in the morning, when I visited. The vibes are minimal with retro-mod energy, clean and design-forward curated pieces like funky seats and neon signs by wavy mirrors. The pastries display case is easy to view, filled with sweet and savory options. The everything danish is fire, and I love that they heat it up to be enjoyed in minutes. Highly rec this cafe for those looking for a lil pick me up with guaranteed high quality ingredients and aesthetic look. There isn't much space for many groups, just a few, and it's less of a study spot for students. Great for catch-up's, grab n go, and convos with your friends/fam. Staff is friendly and efficient!

It's busy just like any other cafe in the area, but drinks were swiftly ready. Just like the initial outlet, the vibrant color theme was also brought here. Hooked by their Spanish Latte earlier, this time I went for their Ube Matcha. First sip and I could definitely tell it's great quality one, bold and umami. The ube syrup made it more fun but still not overpowering the overall flavor. My husband got their Oat Cold Brew Latte, whose default came sweetened as it featured demerara sugar. Worry not, it's not overly sweet and their coffee was just so so good.
Amazing MATCHA! I got the double matcha w almond milk and I want to say this was one of the best matcha's I've had! They have a cute seating area outside for you to enjoy your drink. The employees were so polite and made my drink pretty quick! I can't wait to go back and try their coffee next ! I need to get two drinks or else I'll have fomo for not getting this matcha again
The pistachio matcha latte is actually really good, and a strong pistachio flavor. I love when you get a good kick of the flavor you asked for. I loved Picnic in silverlake, but just never got around to going back, so I was so so happy when they opened up this new ktown location. I came on a Thursday morning around 9:30am and all the parking spots in the lot were open? The service was super duper kind. Greeted me with a kind hello as soon as I walked through and helped me through which pastry I should order (I got this cheesecake cherry pastry thing--pretty good, well layered). The vibe is super cool. The silverlake location is pretty small but love that this one has more space, and it's sooooo coool. Like Picnic is just a cool girl. Hope to come back soon!!
Truly one of my favorites in ktown right now. There's parking in the small lot and another lot close by. The staff are nice and friendly, lots of seating options, cute decor and vibes, and drinks are always on point. The espresso tonic is usually my go-to but I always enjoy their seasonal options as well.
Super solid coffee shop. I love / hate that they have a rotating menu because you'll fall in love with something for one season then it's gone ! However every drink I've had from them is solid. I also love a place that doesn't have a fully cream top menu because that gets tiring. Also the size of their coffee is perfect! It's not too big and not too small. The Coffee flavor is always strong which I appreciate. Service is also always great. There's a lot of space to sit and chat or study at as well. Parking lot is a bit small though. I heard such good things about this place and I'm glad they weren't wrong! Ok I've only tried these 2 things and only these 2 things so take with a grain of salt if you're curious about coffee or cookies or anything else. FIRST OF ALL-- THAT CHERRY MATCHA!! Take my money ($8) my goodness just make it permanent. When is this summer menu over because I need another one immediately. I've heard of strawberry matchas and blueberry matchas and even mango matcha.. BUT CHERRY? That's new to me and it made me curious. And curiosity did NOT kill the cat this time because it was phenomenal. It tastes like real fresh juicy cherries (the dark sweet kind) and not a jam. It's sweet from the cherries. I'm sure there's sugar but you taste what seems like actual sweetness from the cherry vs additional sugar sweetening up sour cherry if that makes sense. The milk ratio is good. The matcha is a very respectable shade of green. Overall together its sweet (in a fruit way) and not too sweet overall. There's little bits of cherry in there too. Anyways, much love 1000% would get again. Yuzu Matcha Tonic ($7.5)-- Now this is going to sound like it sucks compared to the cherry matcha, but it was good! Like not life changing in anyway, but if yuzu matcha is what you like then this is it! It's bright, refreshing. Personally a little too sour for me but my friend liked it a lot. Good for after a heavy meal to just brighten and cleanse palate. Prices are comparable to other matcha/coffee shops. Wouldn't say it's cheap but can't say it's expensive either. Free parking though, which is a huge win especially in ktown! read more

Tried out Picnic Coffee in Pico-Union! I tried the cherry matcha & iced honey cinnamon cap drinks from their summer menu and their signature vienna espresso latte! The cherry matcha wasn't as great as I thought it would be, it didn't feel as balanced with the earthy taste of the matcha and the sweet taste of the cherry as other fruit flavored matchas I've tried. But I really enjoyed the Iced Honey Cinnamon Cap and the Vienna Latte. The Vienna latte was the show stopper and stand out of this visit, the cream top was amazing. We went on a weekday so there was enough parking and seating for us. But the shopping center is pretty small so I'm not sure if that would be the same on another day. read more

Great little place with easy free parking and good seating in Koreatown which is key. Also a nice clean bathroom. Service was faster and nicer than usual LA and my iced vienna drink was delicious. The cream top was phenomenal. Price with almond milk is $7. No notes. 10/10. read more

I'm a bit sad they took away the double matcha from the menu as it is one of my favorites. (I didn't realize it was a seasonal item). I decided to try their strawberry matcha and was not disappointed. It is the perfect blend and the strawberry doesn't overpower the matcha. The staff is always so friendly here and the cafe is cute, whimsical and has a parking lot! Will continue to return and hope they make the double matcha a permanent menu item one day :) read more

So we stopped here on a whim. Nice chill vibe to do some work. Amazing natural lighting. Now the cherry matcha drink was insanely delicious. Not to mention the Raspberry Fancier out of this world. I didn't know that such a little dessert could be so bold. The service was good as well. read more

We were big fans of Picnic in Silverlake, so we were stoked to find out there was a new location in Ktown! Plenty of free parking in their lot (we went at 9am). Larger than their other location with big glass windows. Aesthetics are on POINT! Same colorful Bauhaus furniture and vibe. More seating, WiFi, and plugs make it accommodating for working. We got the drip (definitely on the better end of filter coffee in LA) and the Spanish latte. Excited to come back! read more

i love the interior and the drinks are all amazing! i was super excited to come here especially after trying the location in silverlake. this location has a free parking lot with no valet from what i experienced. i'm more of a matcha person and all of their tonics are amazing. i have also tried their corn vienna with espresso and i really liked it as well. the service is quick and the owner especially is super sweet. each drink is well curated and it's great to just sit in the cafe and work or just pick and up and go. the bread is also yummy and would recommend the crossiant toasted! read more
