    Iced decaf americano
    Sarah Y.

Great quality coffee spot! The moment you enter, it feels like an art gallery with great lighting, pictures of employees on walls, and the clean aesthetics! This place is not really a study spot, more of a grab and go or chill while standing vibes. You can also hang out in their outside area (in parking lot side). Their coffee quality really stands out, especially when their decaf americano is almost like regular americano in quality, you know it's a good spot! There is free parking in the lot when it's less busy, otherwise mostly valet parking or need street parking. Consistently solid coffee spot, recommend!

We ended up here because it was the only coffee place we could think of that had a parking lot! K-town parking can really make or break a trip!! I came here before and had a Nurunji latte last winter that I looooved! It was hearty and warm. I didn't see that on the menu this time around so just got their classic Document latte ($6.25) that's flavored with maple syrup. It was good but nothing really stood out for me? It did its job and we moved on with the rest of our plans for the day. Not really wow worthy but not bad! Ambience wise this place is more "cool hipster" than it is "warm and inviting". It's a very grab and go place. Parking is easy because of the lot. If you tell the valet guys you're just there for a togo coffee, they'll let you park!

Came here after breakfast on a weekend morning and the place was not too busy. Ambiance was nice and modern - super clean. Drinks came out quickly and were made well, this is just my fault where I did not enjoy my DNRJ+E Latte. I found the taste a little unappealing, but I finished it and it did its job of keeping me awake. I wouldn't mind coming back to try another coffee in the future if in the area again - my friend's more original drink was fine!

Was stopping by the area and saw this place on Google Maps. I was pleasantly surprised.. it did not disappoint! I ordered an iced Document latte with oat milk. I usually go for an iced vanilla latte, but decided to try this one since it's flavored with maple syrup. Wow, it did not disappoint! The coffee tasted really high quality, and the sweetness from the syrup gave it such a nice touch with every sip. I haven't been finishing my drinks lately, but this is the first one in a while I did... it was THAT good! Just -1 star because the ambiance isn't really for me. It didn't really feel that cozy or friendly. I came on a Friday a little after 11 am and had no problem finding a stool to sit at. I did journal for a bit but ended up leaving after about 30 minutes. It just didn't feel like the kind of spot I would hang out or catch up with a friend. Still would totally come back if I'm in the area because the drink was yummy!

first time to document coffee bar! The service was so good after I requested no dilution of water in the Kyoto cold brew. The ambience was nice as it had plenty of seating areas inside

Absolutely killer and cool coffee place in K-town. Great artisan coffee and goods and artistic vibe. Highly recommend.

The coffee tastes weak -- maybe as a function of the 20oz cup size -- but the nurungji had a beautifully toasted flavor profile. This cafe is good for yapping and not to work, especially because the tables are small and I don't think they have WiFi.

Document Cold with Oat milk $7.25

Price: Fair for the portion size and quality. Location: Parking meters in front and additional parking appears to be available in the back. Ambiance: The decor is industrial cafe shop and there is featured photography on display. Allowing a reoccurring rotation of new work would appeal to returning customers. There's also a small section with snacks and additional drinks. Menu: Wide selection without feeling overwhelming. Pastries are available as well. Service: kind.

Paid Full Price for Half a Drink

I've truly never experienced anything like this in my life at a coffee shop. I ordered a vanilla latte to-go with no ice, and the staff mentioned it might be "a bit less," so I said okay. But I never imagined it would be this little. The cup was almost half empty. The photo shows exactly what I received. Yes, it was no ice, but that should not mean the drink is drastically reduced while still charging full price. I've had plenty of no-ice drinks at many cafés and nowhere has ever served something this small. There was no clear explanation about how little it would actually be, and they didn't make any effort to fix it either. Instead of enjoying my coffee, I just left annoyed and disappointed. This was a terrible experience. Definitely a 1-star review and I won't be coming back.

Document Coffee is a cool spot where you can see headshots of their regulars displayed across the cafe. My friend really likes this place so I decided to stop by and try it out. The service is good and the staff is friendly. I ordered the chai coffee drink and it was impressive. It was refreshing and the coffee was made very well. I have no complaints about my visit and enjoyed the unique atmosphere.

I heard the owner is artist and photographer so it has that vibe. Coffee is so good and have a small outdoor place. Parking lot is huge! So just try it :)

Excellent little coffee shop tucked away in Koreatown. This place serves wonderfully crafted drinks and has a fantastic selection of little goodies to add on as gifts or personal treats. It is easy to find and convenient for a quick cup of coffee. It is my favorite place to visit Because of the convenience and quality and I will certainly be back when I am in the area again.

We ordered flat whites, mochas, and hot chocolate. All the drinks were good, but they were a little hot. Their pastries were quite flaky and delicious. The staff here were friendly. They have some seat inside the shop. Parking is available behind the shop, and you don't need to pay.

Before I could even walk away, one of the baristas snatched it from my hand and said, "You're not allowed to use that. The saucers go with the latte mugs!" I paused, glanced at the empty café behind me, and replied, "There are plenty available--surely I can use one." He continued, in a dismissive tone, speaking to me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful. I chose to walk away and still enjoy my pour-over. But it's not just about serving good coffee. As Maya Angelou reminds us, people will always remember how you made them feel. And in this space, I felt unwelcome. As a paying customer--one who tipped in advance--that behavior felt undeserved and unwarranted. For that reason, there's no need to return.

However, I am almost embarrassed to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed Stagger. There was no line, but it makes sense with the fact that we came at 4 pm. After ordering, we were quickly served. Everything from napkins to drink caddies to straws to drink sleeves were self serve, which I appreciated. Not to mention the free stickers! The drinks were on the sweeter side, which is what I prefer, but not too sweet that it drowns out the matcha flavor. The double matcha was topped with a thick layer of sweet cream which balanced nicely with the slight matcha bitterness. The jasmine matcha, which was the seasonal drink, was very jasmine forward and garnished with flowers (I ended up spitting them out; had the texture of disintegrating paper straws). Otherwise, it was one of the better matchas I've had, especially because it didn't make me feel jittery. The vibe was quiet, clean, and minimalistic. The chairs looked straight out of a modern art museum. It's like musical chairs, but the loser still gets a chair, just one without back support. This is my first time visiting a matcha shop in LA, and the bar has been set very high!

The line is not for the faint of heart. I tried their matcha einspanner, breakfast sliders, and pistachio toast and all three were AMAZING. - Matcha Einspanner: One of the best matchas I've ever had! The matcha is so well balanced - you can actually taste the matcha, not too sweet, and creamy too. They also sprinkle sea salt on top which helps enhance the matcha flavor. My only complaint is that I wish the cup was bigger. - Breakfast Sliders: I wasn't expecting much from the sliders, but everyone always hypes up their slides, so I knew I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed! The egg is so fluffy and the sauces that come with it are so delicious, especially their hot sauced. I added bacon and avocado too and it was great. - Pistachio Toast: I feel like their pistachio toast is not talked about enough. It was so yummy and satisfying that I wish I could get another one. The toast is hearty and the pistachio spread with sea salt, olive oil, and olive oil is the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I'm still thinking about their toast. Although it is quite pricey, I think the taste and quality justify the price. The interior is small and there's about 6 tables outside which is pretty crowded so you might have to take it elsewhere to enjoy.
