Pretty good drinks! Stopped by and ordered a double matcha latte and strawberry matcha latte, both of which were tasty and had a decently-strong matcha flavor. Took a while to get my order, but otherwise Kaffee Bohnen is a solid place for a pick-me-up drink.
The start of the semester means homework and that means locking myself at a study cafe. Kaffee Bohnen is tucked away on Olympic across from Surawon, with a small garage and plenty of street parking. There's very good bus access from USC via 754/204 and a short walk after. The tables are huge, filled with outlets and it doesn't really get too crowded. The menu is largely einspanners but can be customized to be without cream. I got the black einspanner, which is basically an Americano with a cream top. It was the perfect creaminess without being heavy, and the coffee was fairly strong and leaned a little acidic, which was promptly washed away by the cream. My friend got the strawberry matcha sans einspanner, which didn't have added syrup but real strawberry. Their unsweetened drinks were well-balanced and I will definitely return!
Hey Kaffee, Nice to meet you. I'm sitting here right now. Good vibes. Plugs. WiFi. Shared communal seating only... but it isn't busy at all during the workday so works for me. Bohnen Latte. A little pricey, but taste good and I chalk it up to paying for a space to work so it's all good. Oh and I street parked but saw there is a little internal parking area too... I'll have to remember that. Anyhow you're close to where my parents live so I may come visit again if I need a space to work. Adios
I'm actually at a huge loss with this place in terms of the reviews and my review. We decided to try the closest coffee shop after lunch and walked here. It's a bit hidden, you walk past a bank onto a narrow pathway. The interior is nice and it's very quiet. But the barista was not attentive nor friendly. I understand he is the only one front of house (we were the only waiting customers) and his back was turned towards us but once he faced our direction he never said anything, not even a, "One moment I'll be with you." Super awkward. The drinks are overpriced for the quality and in general. Maybe I came on an off day but my drink was not good. The strawberry matcha einspanner was awful and bland. It lacked flavor. I planned on getting a drink to go for my boyfriend but decided against torturing him.
This drink is so amazing and the taste quality is crazy good. I will definitely be coming back here. Also the baristas are all super sweet! Thank you so much!!
A cute Ktown spot to work. I LOVE that it is a cafe that's actually quiet. Music was low so I can concentrate while I get work done. I had an Americano and a chocolate croissant. The barista was friendly. The best part is there is a tiny lot that is shared with the bank but if you go on the weekend you can basically park in any of the spots since the bank is closed. I only wish they offered more pastry options otherwise the place is perfect.
Really modern coffee shop. Garage Parking is immensely limited. You'll have a better chance finding street parking. PRICES are a bit on the higher end that I can't justify for the coffee that they offer. You might think otherwise, but that's my take from my first visit. STAFF were aware of customers waiting to order and acknowledged that they will be with you shortly. Nothing really stood out as far as their customer service, really. Would I come back here? I don't see it happening anytime soon, especially with the amount t of other options for coffee shops in the area.
Great new coffee place on Olympic Blvd. and Catalina Street. The space is quaint and cozy with comfortable couches, lounge chairs, and tables. There is free Wi-Fi and a public restroom. The service is great the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. At the pick up counter are two cold brew drips that are on each side. They are not just decorations. The barista told me it takes 8-9 hours to get a liter of brew. Anyway, the menu is a bit pricey but we'll worth it. This for the pour over, espresso, drip, and specialty coffees. The pastries are good too. Enjoy!

The music is neither too loud or too quiet, it's the perfect volume if you want to listen to your own music with headphones, or prefer the cafe music. It's so nice inside, from air conditioning to a well-lit environment. There's plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor. The service was good :). I ordered a cappuccino, and let me tell you the coffee was amazing. The only issue I had was that the menu on the wall may be outdated. The price for a cappuccino says $5.00 on the wall, but I was charged $5.75 for the drink itself. If you're traveling by car, there is plenty of parking space as well!

There are about four parking spaces, and street parking is not easy. The interior is pretty and comfortable to relax in. The coffee taste didn't suit my preference. When I visited, all the customers were getting coffee to go, but I don't understand why sales tax was charged on to-go coffee. Especially in Koreatown, many places seem to impose this unfair pricing.

First time ordering the strawberry latte einspanner. I was initially excited to try this new flavor, since Ive tried their einspanners before. This is the first time I didnt have a good experience with the flavor. :( Top of the einspanner - fantastic. However the strawberry puree was too bitter for my taste. I wanted to call to just let anyone know if they could just check the batch. But unfortunately theres no number to contact. Honestly it just needs to be more sweetened is all. Hopefully owners/staff is able to see this so they can taste test the strawberry puree. Otherwise, still love this place! read more

Stellar service. We got the bohnen cold brew and it was perfectly nutty and slightly sweetened. This is a great spot for studying. It's lowkey and quiet with strong coffee. There is plenty of seating and tables. read more

There are about four parking spaces, and street parking is not easy. The interior is pretty and comfortable to relax in. The coffee taste didn't suit my preference. I had the pleasure of stoping by this cute coffee shop today. I went in around 10 am and I was surprised it was empty. It has so much seating both inside and outside. Looked like a perfect spot to spot by in with a friend for a drink or to come do some major studying here. The ambiance was really good. Not sure if the gentleman taking my order was the owner but he was very patient with me as i looked at their menu to decide what to order. I went with their strawberry match einsppaner. The strawberry used tasted super fresh and not like that super sugary fake strawberry other places use. The matcha was good but i would have liked it a little more sweeet. Other than the it was really good. I also ordered a cinnamon roll which the gentleman helping me out warmed up for me. It was so soft and delicious. All in all its a pretty great spot to check out. There are a few parking spots located in the parking garage it shares with a neighbor business. read more

Such an underrated spot! Great ambiance inside, perfect for working or studying. The barista was so kind when helping me decide on a drink, patiently explaining the different signature drinks to me before I decided on a strawberry matcha einspanner -- which was delicious. I regret not finding this spot earlier! read more

Perfect balance between a casual grab and go cafe but also a nice spot to study at. Spacious and clean. Server was kind and quick. The drinks are delicious; chocolate croissant was alright. The almond croissant's really good. Very limited parking lot but you can park on any spot if it's just pick up order. read more

Coffee and tea's are made to perfection. My favorite is the strawberry matcha. The ambience is very relaxing. Have homework to finish or work to catchup on. Kaffee Bohnen is where you'd want to be. The staff is AMAZING. read more

a very tasty matcha einspanner and an ok chocolate croissant... my friend and i came early, perhaps like 30 minutes after opening? the lady at the counter was very nice and efficient, probably because we were like the second customers on a saturday morning lol there are chargers at the table and everything is very tidy. however, like a lot of cafes in ktown the music is loud and you sorta have to raise your voice if you wanna talk to your friends ALSO this place is cashless!!! i would definitely go back for the matcha einspanner that i got with oat milk, the creamy foam on top was very pleasant and it was just very good. would not get the chocolate croissant again it was average read more

Great coffee, great parking. Tucked away coffee shop with an industrial aesthetic and a very rare k-town offering of its very own parking structure. The barista was very helpful in suggesting which drinks to get. My partner got the Spanish latte which was very good - one of the best I've had in LA. Not too sweet with the perfect amount of cinnamon. I got the bohnen latte iced with oat milk. It was also good, but I think the Oatmilk overpowered the maple a bit, next time I would get it with regular milk. Wi-Fi is available, and most of the people there are focused on working. If you do socialize that's fine, you might just want to keep it down a bit. Some pastries available. A very sizable clean bathroom is available as well. Great hidden gem in k-town if you want an easy spot to settle in and get some work done. read more

Ktown has so many coffee shops but this place was a recommendation from a friend so I gave it a shot. Came in never have even heard of an "einspänner" but left knowing I'd want it again. First off the vibes and service in this place are great. Great decor, free wifi, fresh pastries and great coffee (tea too!). I hate that I didn't get some beans to go since I'm not local to the area. Staff was super friendly and helped explain menu items. Customary to Ktown, the parking is scarce on the street but they do also have an underground lot around the side of Olympic next to the apartment building. read more
Finally stopped in to try this new local coffee spot. Inside of the shop is super cute and modern. But there's like construction paper or something on the outside that gives you the impression that it's still being built/closed. There's a small parking lot on the side of the building that leads you right to the entrance. We ordered the Bohnen Cold Brew & Matcha Latte. The cold brew was strong but a bit on the milkier side. Wish the ratio was more 3/4 cold brew rather than the 1/2 it looked like when I picked it up. Still pretty good cold brew. The matcha latte was just okay. I probably wouldn't order it again and would opt to try another coffee. We also ordered a pastry - Ice Maple Scone. From the looks of it, you'd think it'd be incredibly sweet. But nope! It was very light and perfectly flaky on the inside. Great choice and big enough to share. The cashier and the barista were both very nice. The cashier helped offer some recommendations when I couldn't decide what to pick. Will likely be back to try different menu items. read more

One of my go to coffee spots in Koreatown because of its Consistency Bang for Your Buck Serene Work Environment I always get their iced spanish latte, which is sweetened with condensed milk and comes with whole cinnamon sticks (LOVE). I also love their pastries which they make sure to toast. I would definitely come here if you enjoy simple, delicious lattes and pastries and need to get some head-down work done. read more
