My daughter drew a picture to get duplicated onto a cake for her ninth birthday and they did an amazing job-hats off to the one who decorated the cake- It's one of the best cakes that I've had

Check out the deals! Eat the yummy ice cream! Go!

There's a trend right now towards upscale ice cream parlors serving unusual and eclectic flavors at $5-7 a scoop, and those places are fun and unique. However, if you want a slam dunk and some good old-fashioned scrumptious ice cream at a reasonable price with quick service, go back to your roots and come to Baskin Robbins. My dad took me there as a kid. I scooped there as a teenager for one of my first jobs when I was in high school. And I still love good old 31 Flavors. The flavors are plentiful, and my old favorites from the '80s are still around. Quarterback Crunch: still there World Class Chocolate: still there Peanut Butter and Chocolate: still there Jamoca Almond Fudge: still there Rainbow Sherbet: still there Butter Pecan: still there Strawberry Cheesecake: still there Get my point? Sundaes, shakes, malts, floats....they're all there for you, and not pricey! Gorgeous ice cream cakes for parties and occasions. A shout out to Jason and Abby, two scoopers with fun and friendly attitudes. Abby gave me FOUR free tastes last night! Receipts give you free deals for future purchases. Downloading the app gets you a free scoop. $1.50 scoops on the 31st of every month. Note to management: it's a better idea to make that price $1.31 on the 31st -- more attention-getting and makes more sense! Baskin Robbins has been around for decades, and there's a reason for that: they rock. An oldie but a goodie.

The actual size of the scoops as opposed to the pictures.

No statement against the staff, but it is insulting the amount of ice cream they give you for a two scoop Sunday. I normally won't say anything, but this was too demoralizing. The scoop truly was about the size you would get If you made a circle with your forefinger and thumb, if not smaller. I asked the manager how can this possibly be worth $7.49? He said they are mandated to give kid size scoops in the Sundaes. I pushed back that they were asking for grown up sized dollars. He agreed to give me more ice cream totally missing the point of my feedback. I had a nice sized tip I was about to leave, but after seeing that insult, I put my cash back in my pocket.

Who would order a cake with the image cropped?

The birthday cake are good but basic, my star rating is lower as I ordered my daughter's birthday cake online because of COVID. A picture cake. There was no quality control done as the website cut the image and when I went to pick up her cake her cat's head was cut off. They offered no explanation or apology...

A fav of mine. Clown Cones! yay!!!

Got an itch - you have to scratch it right? That's kind of how me and ice cream are... When I want some I gotta have some. Came in to browse the flavors and tame the beast in my belly for the frozen treat that awaited me. My eyes locked in on an old classic fav of mine. The Clown Cone! They are so adorable and ultimately so yummy. Mint chip was my choice for today with the chocolate cookie platter on the bottom. Oh yea - that was good. Just a tad of frosting and even a cherry nose means no clowning around and it's time to get to eating this bad boy! The guy working was nice and inside was clean. Ice cream looked fresh. I couldn't help notice new frozen creations in the freezer case which I will have to come back and try out.

On box... not on mud pie AND mispelled!
    Maggie Y.

My order for a mud pie was placed over the phone with Shawn on 6/21, who was very pleasant. I specifically asked for customization on the pie and spelled the name out calling attention to the capital A in JoAnne and I was assured everything would be done accordingly. On 6/22 around 3pm, I called the store to confirm I would be picking up the pie later that evening and checked with the woman on the phone to verify the closing time. When my husband and I came in to pick up the pie in the evening, there was only one other customer in the store. A female employee was taking this customer's sundae order and the male employee was separately filling ice cream into large pan/container. Both looked at us but there was no greeting of any kind. Then, 3 minutes later, another customer walked in behind us. After another minute passes by, the male employee stops what he was working on and has a brief verbal exchange with this customer but then returns to continue filling his containers with his back towards us. Meanwhile, the female employee had put nuts all over on the sundae she is still serving even though even I had heard her customer state "no nuts please" twice so she then had to re-serve the sundae. After about 7 minutes, I finally get to ask the female employee to retrieve my mud pie. She proceeded to ring up the register and I asked if I could see the customization. When I saw that the writing was not ON the mud pie but on the cardboard box and mispelled, I asked her to re-do it on the pie. Both employees stated only the designated cake customizer person could perform this task and they were both not qualified. They also stated the writing is ALWAYS on the box and not on the cake. In my 30+ years of ordering a BR cake/pie, the writing is NEVER on the box! The Male employee proceeded to contact Shawn over the phone. My husband asked if they could just give us some yellow frosting in a tube and we can squirt it onto the pie to customize it ourselves but the male employee refused, stating the process is too difficult unless you are the "cake person", who apparently went home for the day already. All the while, my pie is slowly melting on the counter so we just decided to pay the full price $24.99 for pie and leave. No apology or offer of any discount was even mentioned. The female employee did say, it's not her fault, it's the "cake person's" fault. Needless to say, even though we have been patrons for over 9 years purchasing many cakes/mud pies/ice cream pizza, for every birthday and other occasions, we will no longer be coming back to this BR location in Toluca Lake on Riverside Drive ever again.

    Santa Ice Cream Holiday Cake
    Sarah M.

I called all over Los Angeles and the Valley area Baskin-Robbins and this specific Baskin-Robbins in Toluca Lake was the only that allowed me to place a custom Holiday cake order the evening before Christmas Eve for pick up the very next day on Christmas Eve!! I was thrilled!!! The ice cream cake artist was AWESOME and so friendly! She let me customize my cake and did such a fantastic job with a short turn around time! I couldn't be with my family due to Covid this year so my roommate and I wanted to have a celebratory Holiday cake. This Baskin-Robbins went above and beyond to make this happen! I am so appreciative of their fantastic customer service and beautiful cake! They were so friendly and nice and I appreciated them making this Holiday Santa cake customized in such a short time so much! Don't hesitate coming here!

I can forgive underwhelming cake. Even "ok" cake is still a treat. But to charge 15 dollars for a slice? I'm sorry, but that's something I can't forgive. The ingredients that go into cake, flour, sugar, chocolate, eggs, etc, are cheap, affordable basic ingredients. Unless they're using the finest imported Belgian chocolate, which they are not, it costs them less than a dollar for a slice of cake. Please I urge you to go anywhere else. That noted, it's absolutely worth the nocturnal trek to what feels like the middle of nowhere. The worker was very sweet and directed me to pay via Venmo, then proceeded to prepare my order. It takes a bit to get your order because this place is swamped with mobile orders along with the line it's constantly tending to. Anywho, we got the Nutella and Mango Cheesecakes. I am a Nutella aficionado; I will stay this way until my very last breath unless I develop some random allergy to hazelnuts later into adult life, and even then, that'll be my untimely undoing. This cheesecake was perfection; you can taste the Nutella both in the creamy cheesecake and on top, with a generous drizzle covering the cheesecake; the Oreo crust was thick but not stale or annoyingly hard. 10/10. The Mango Cheesecake: the birthday boy' slice. I prefer raspberry or strawberry toppings when going for fruity cheesecakes, but the mango cheesecake hits the spot; mango chunks on top of a New York cheesecake slice and a buttery, graham cracker crust. I would actually order this myself. 10/10. When it comes to hole-in-the-wall dessert spots, Sweetholic is a win, win. Nice service, reasonably- priced (about $11 a slice, about a whole dollar cheaper than other LA cafes and the staple Cheesecake Factory), and cheesecake that will make you moan into the sweetest of slumbers. Check it out yourself!

I came at 6pm right before a show and they had lots of pastries still available. I got the rose milk cake on my first visit, and I really enjoyed its sponginess. It was very similar to a tres leches cake. On my second visit I got the Dubai cheesecake, and this was also a hit for me, which had the right among of chocolate, kataifi and pistachio. The drinks can be hit or miss depending on what you get. The strawberry lemonade is very rich in taste but the amount of ice they added nearly reached the brim of the cup. I noticed this was the case for other people around us sitting down. I got a matcha latte and rose latte on separate visits, and didn't find either to be worth raving about. The rose latte especially doesn't taste like rose at all. Overall, worth it for the pastries alone and the drinks are a good pick-me-up before a 2.5 hour show at Pantages.
