Open until 11pm for a perfect late night treat! They had a huge variety of flavors, including 3 vegan options - 2 fruit sorbet (strawberry and raspberry) and 1 Belgian chocolate. It was packed around 10pm on Friday - they're doing great business! The prices are pretty steep; my 2 half scoop cup was $9.55, but I was satisfied overall because of the dairy free option that wasn't sorbet. The staff was super friendly, and was able to move through the line quickly, even while offering samples.

The affogato is the way to go. You pick your gelato (one or two scoops) then they pour either regular or decaf espresso over it. Simple idea, but it comes together so well. It's creamy, not overly sweet, and somehow feels a little luxurious for such a straightforward dessert. By the time I finished it, I was already wishing I had gone with 2 scoops instead of one. Definitely coming back.

Kiss Of Milk - Studio City's Italian Gelato Gem Hands down, the best Italian gelato spot in Studio City, which likely puts it in the running for the best Italian dessert in all of Los Angeles. From the moment we walked in, Angelise made us feel incredibly welcome. Her warmth and energy instantly elevated the experience. Honestly, she deserves a raise. Let's talk cones: the selection here is fantastic. Even better, the clear display explaining the different types makes choosing a breeze, a thoughtful touch that shows attention to detail. Now, the ice cream. Good. God. The ice cream. Absolutely phenomenal. My picture barely does it justice. But honestly? The only way to truly grasp it is to go yourself. Head to Ventura Place in Studio City--one of LA's coolest streets--park in the Vons lot, and take the short stroll over. The flavors are nothing short of extraordinary. Multi-layered, nuanced, and crafted with the kind of skill that can only come from centuries of Italian artisan tradition. Each bite is a revelation. Kiss Of Milk isn't just gelato--it's an experience, and Studio City is lucky to have it.

I was really looking forward to trying the affogato at Bacio di Latte, but I was disappointed with how it was served. It came in a plastic cup, which isn't ideal for a dessert like this. Traditionally, an affogato should be served in glassware or a small ceramic cup, allowing the hot espresso to blend smoothly with the cold gelato without altering the flavor. Unfortunately, the plastic cup affected the taste and overall experience. I was shocked when the guy gave us our cups. I asked for the mini mug and he said its for presentation only. It was awful!!! The espresso didn't hold its heat, and the presentation felt more like a takeaway item rather than a crafted dessert. The concept of the affogato bar is lovely, but using proper glassware would truly elevate it and bring out the richness and contrast that make an affogato special. I really hope they consider this change it would make a huge difference for anyone who appreciates the authentic affogato experience. For as much money as they charge for this and for their gelato I would have expected a much nicer experience. It looked like a root beer float than an affogato. Until they make this change, I probably won't return again for this item.

Love that Bacio opened in Studio city! Such an amazing treat to have when you're craving that late night sweets! Not just at night but anytime too of course! The staff is so friendly and welcoming! You can get samples prior to selecting your picks. I really love the tiramisu gelato and the pistachio. It's a pretty small shop and parking can really suck too but if you go at night, you'll find ample parking, at least I have. If you've seen Bacio or driven past it, give them a try! You won't regret it.

Great quality gelato in studio city. It's definitely not somewhere I'd come often because it is quite pricey for the amount of gelato you get. I paid $22 for 2 medium cups, which is quite a lot in my opinion. The quality however is great and the interior is beautiful and the service was great too!

Street parking only. Definitely will be coming back. The young lady who helped us was amazing. Gave us to try a couple of samples. She allowed me to choose the cup size or cone, I opted for the cup. She also allowed me to be able to choose 2 different flavors as a one scoop. This is totally surprising new to me. Pistacho was smooth, not super sweet, and delicious. It was creamy and nutty. It even had Pistacho pieces in it. She mentioned the difference between the Mousse di Pistacchio was sweeter and pistacchio was nutty and salty. Overall, a great experience! Even though the place was starting to get busy, it was clean and quiet.

Bacio di Latte is our go to for quality and delicious gelato. We enjoy our visits here. As soon as you walk into the store, the sweet aroma of chocolate, coffee and cream welcomes you. The store has a very modern and open set up. You can see the gelato being freshly made in through glass viewing. We were told they make their gelato fresh everyday starting at 9am. Everytime we walk into Bacio di Latte we are greeted with a hello, welcome and a smile. Thank you Audrey for the excellent customer service. Audrey informed us that Bacio Di Latte makes their gelato fresh everyday starting at 9am. You can see the different gelato flavors on display and you're welcome to try some samples. My favorites are the Caffe Caramellatte, Crema & Biscotti and Tiramisu. They are was delicious. You can tell it's quality gelato. It wasn't too creamy and it wasn't too rich. It was dense in texture and slightly silky. It was perfect. Glad we found a gelato shop we can frequent that's close by and family owned. We love supporting family owned businesses in the San Fernando Valley especially when they provide both excellent customer service and delicious food.

Every time I drive by this place has a line out the door. And I get it now. There's only street parking, so keep that in mind. Also, did I just find my new favorite gelato place? I think so. It's so clean and crisp looking inside. They truly have a variety of delicious flavors. It was so hard to choose just one. So I went with a recommendation that was made by Holanda. Raspberry and vegan Chocolate. Yes..vegan. I'm not vegan and this was by far one of the best vegan chocolate flavor, I have ever tried. Their strawberry cheesecake tasted exactly that. Their pistachio was so creamy and sweet. Their yogurt with cherry was my favorite but the one that stood out was their buttercream pretzel. Have to come back for that one. Thankfully when we got there it was empty which gave us enough time to try as many flavors as we wanted. Holanda was soooo helpful, patient and just over all provided great customer service. We even talked football, GO Chargers ;). I hope for any first timers, that you get Holanda to help you out. I wish I had the time to take more pictures but I was so busy trying everything. *side note - their smallest side is really the perfect amount of gelato.

    All delicious choices!

My friend who lives in the area introduced me to Bacio di Latte as her favorite gelato spot! It's so bright and gorgeous even from the street, and the scent of fresh waffles wafts through the air the moment you open the door. You can try as many samples as you like before you make your final decision, and they rotate seasonal flavors. I ordered the waffle cup with pistachio paired with a scoop of the namesake sweet cream and cookies and cream flavors. It's decadent but also refreshing and I can't believe I finished the whole thing after a full dinner before! Price-wise, Bacio di Latte is a higher price point than say a Pinkberry or Yogurtland, but it depends on what you're looking for. The gelato is made fresh and can be bought as a pint, too!

The service was outstanding with the workers explaining that all gelato is made in house daily. They let me try a few recommendations and I loved the pretzel. It was sweet and salty with little pretzel pieces. The mint was also solid as well. This is receiving a 4 instead of a 5 because the cone was a little old (you could tell by the texture) and there was a giant piece of chocolate in the mint chip. It was so big that I had to pull it out of my cone! I love chocolate pieces in my mint gelato but this was a little too much. Overall, a great experience!

My favorite place in the area to get Gelato. I am a simply guy when it comes to desserts. My go to's are Pistaccio and Sweet Cream. I have to double down on a previous review I read about the flat wooden spoons. I agree, we need better spoons. I plan on venturing out and trying more of their flavors soon and I will update my review with my next batch of favorites. This place is located right at the edge of a nice stretch of nearby eateries and coffee shops which makes Bacio di Latte a perfect cherry on top of whatever activity it is you're doing on this street. Not to mention the farmer's market on Sunday.

They've finally opened several locations in the Valley -- and let me tell you, this is hands down the best gelato in LA. Every flavor is rich, authentic, and absolutely delicious. I went with the Crema Torino, and if you're a fan of hazelnut, you're going to fall in love with it. We were helped by the wonderful Cindy, who patiently let me sample as many flavors as I wanted. That said, you really can't go wrong -- everyone who works here is genuinely friendly and welcoming.

Please . I want this every year for any gift I'll ever receive

Walked in yesterday around 3:50 pm and got a very nice greeting from a sweet, pleasant lady with a genuine smile by the name of Natalia. Right away she asked me if I wanted to try few of their samples. I already had in mind what I was about to get, but she still offered me to sample it so I did. I got a medium size/cup of their Mascorpone gelato and grabbed a seat in the shop. She gave me a generous scoop and was very yummy, creamy, delicious & REFRESHING!! $8.23 with tax. Since my last review, the only reason that I gave a 4 star rating was because of their tables not being clean. Everything was up to par. Enjoyed my Gelato, the nice Classic Rock music and headed out. Everything else is mentioned in my previous review! Feel free to read it. Thank you Freddo, Natalia & management.

Every 'Joe Schmoe' can "go out for ice cream"; but do you want to up the ante and show off…read moresophistication? Would you prefer to feel as though you are carefree in Italy and about to hop on a vespa? Then opt for gelato. Somehow, grabbing gelato versus ice cream feels classy and elegant. Although gelato offerings in Los Angeles aren't as widespread as ice cream; there are plenty of options awaiting to make us all feel European (I AM European so I always do but I digress). San Fernando Valley's most recent addition to the world of gelato is Freddo - located not far from the Ventura/ Laurel Canyon intersection in Studio City. Yes, that means this is prime real estate and terrible parking. Is Freddo worth the hassle? Freddo has been in the gelato business for 50 years opening their first shop in Argentina before expanding worldwide focusing on fresh, local ingredients and flavors; making each shop unique to the surrounding cultures. Freddo has arrived in Southern California ready to bring their Italian gelato roots to the City of Angels. Sounds great, right? Well, yes - on paper but this Studio City location fell short. The Studio City location of Freddo has been on the receiving end of viral publicity and influencer love as of late often appearing in social media videos. Coupled with Freddo's worldwide market holding; I had very high hopes for Freddo's gelato. I expected some orgasmic gelato! A mind-blowing experience! My boyfriend and I ventured into Freddo to find a rather large gelateria in comparison to other gelato/ice cream shops with an order counter/gelato/pastry case, a front window-seating counter complete with plants and plenty of tables and seating within; while murals graced the walls adding splashes of color. What I found odd, was the disheveled mess Freddo appeared - why didn't anyone tidy the dining area? Granted, there was only one associate in the front but only two other customers ahead of us. Alas, an untidy gelato shop isn't the clincher to a bad time but this was just the beginning. My boyfriend and I have never visited Freddo and the associate was NOT welcoming, didn't smile, was basically silent and stood there like a statue until we asked for some samples on our own. Let's try "selling the business" and having good customer service, shall we buddy? I am not a gelato professional consumer by any means but I was instantly deterred by the visual appearance of the gelato which just looked 'off'. Perhaps, I am just spoiled by Bacio di Latte which is a hop, skip and jump from Freddo and is absolutely divine. I wasn't overwhelemed by the flavor options at Freddo although I tried Zabaglione which is inspired by the Marsala wine Italian dessert and was interesting with the wine notes coming through the gelato. The Mascarpone (mascarpone with raspberry sauce) was also decent but not overly unique. I decided against purchasing my own gelato and instead to share with my boyfriend with him choosing a double cup ($7.50) of Stracciatella (sweet cream with semi-sweet chocolate chunks) and blackberry sorbet (note: this was to test it against Bacio di Latte's raspberry sorbet which is one of the best sorbets on the planet). The prices at Freddo were another strike with the single cup ($6.25), double ($7.50) and triple ($9.80) being smaller in size than their competitors but about a dollar higher, respectively. This is fine if the gelato is worth it - but it isn't. I'm sorry but Freddo's gelato was mediocre at best. I've had better grocery store pints. The Stracciatella was overly simplified and bland and the blackberry sorbet (which was not strained of seeds) was just bad. I can't even eloquently phrase why - it just is. There isn't much more to be said about Freddo. Freddo is, bluntly, not good and I don't understand how they claim worldwide gelato domination. A messy shop, poor customer service, subpar gelato flavors/textures and overpriced... why is this place viral? Can someone answer me? Anyone?! There is nothing good here and especially when Freddo is overshadowed by Bacio di Latte almost a block away. My boyfriend and I will not be back despite wanting to feel classy consuming gelato. Skip!

I have been ruined for any other ice cream solely due to how AMAZING McConnell's is!…read more If you are like me, ice cream is a pleasure enjoyed every once in a while. I would like it every day but my doctor would probably have some words for me if I did. So when I actually do get ice cream, I want the best. And let me tell you, McConnell's is the best in my opinion. I would describe the ice cream here as being made with the freshest ingredients you could imagine. They have an assortment of interesting flavors to choose from. The staff is more than happy to offer you samples so you can pick your favorite, but always stick to my go-to flavors, which never disappoint. First is one of their original flavors, Eureka Lemon and Marionberries. It tastes like Italy in your mouth. It's sweet and light from the ice cream base but also tart and flavorful from the lemon and marionberry notes. My second flavor, and probably my number one if I had to choose, is their coffee ice cream. When I tell you, I crave this stuff, I mean it! I've had plenty of coffee ice creams in my day but this one is perfection. It has a strong coffee flavor that isn't overpowered by the sweetness and it's got little specks of coffee grind in it which is like a surprise for the palate. You wouldn't think these two flavors go well together, but they really do! I always get myself a double scoop (which is actually four scoops). So if you order a double you can actually get four different flavors. I always get it in a cup with a sugar cone on top. It's the perfect treat. They also offer some baked goods like brownies where you make sundaes with them. And while I normally think a brownie would enhance the ice cream experience, here I believe the ice cream is the star and you shouldn't ruin it! Now on to the negatives, and there aren't many. It's on the more expensive side for ice cream. But again, you are getting a premium quality product and I personally don't mind paying a little more for something I feel reflects the value. And while the ice cream here is the best, the parking is not the best. You can get lucky and find metered street parking but because there are so many popular businesses on this strip, it's usually pretty crowded. If you are willing to walk a little bit, you can usually find parking in the neighborhood behind the businesses. Or, and I didn't tell you this, you can park in the large Von's parking lot on the other side of Laurel Canyon and take the short walk over. That's actually probably the best option to get that exercise in before devouring your ice cream anyway!
