Friends wanted to check out Gelati Gelato. On entering, the place was bright and welcoming. The best part was David, so friendly and had a love for what he does. We were able to sample and David knew exactly the flavors our palates would enjoy. I settled on one generous scoop of cappuccino in a waffle cone. So delicious! I had seen this place for years when I took my car to be serviced across the street but never stopped in until this week. They had a huge selection of dairy-based flavors BUT they did have one vegan gelato. And it was DELICIOUS. I was not even sad I didn't have the same huge selection my non-vegan family members got to choose from because I can't imagine I would want anything other than this Spirulina/coconut-based flavor. My family said their flavors (cherry and dulce de leche) were delicious, as well. The server was nice, too. The reason for 4/5 stars is because seeing how well they were able to create one awesome vegan flavor makes me wish they had a few more. Also, it was pricey. Great place. It was recommended by a friend. We stopped by to have Arabic coffee made on sand. The surprise was that they had great selection of Middle Eastern desserts. We had kunefee and Kashta with gelato! It was delicious! The coffee was very well made. Peter is great, he is very friendly and has great manners. He knows how to treat customers well. I went into this brightly colored joint. It was like a mini international Willy Wonka Emporium. There was a long line for buying the various treats while I was limited because I am gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant. However, I'm not intolerant to trying something delicious so I ordered a cup of Sicilian lemon gelato and German strawberry gelato. I will refrain from mentioning that they were former allies, but the gelato flavors went very well together on this occasion. Come see Julio and get some yummy gelato! Julio was very friendly and let us try samples so we chose the best flavor. I loved the melon, taro and ended choosing the espresso martini which was made with real coffee. There are vegan, dairy and sugar free options like the spirulina and lemon. Gelati is a welcome addition on Santa Monica Blvd with variety for days, stellar, friendly service, and AMAZING hours!!! I was pretty heartbroken when Yogurt Stop closed a few year ago, and really hopeful when Gelati opened recently. I stopped in to pick up Gelato for my kiddos and was absolutely blown away by the incredible variety of gelato flavors. I came for the gelato, and was so impressed at the massive food menu, delicious looking artisan chocolate, and all of the baked goods and treats in between! I also had the pleasure of meeting Diego. He takes such pride in his work that I asked if he was the owner. He said he wasn't, but that he loves his job. Diego clearly loves to make people happy - a great ambassador for Gelati. After loving my first visit with a to go order, I came back with one of my kiddos so we could enjoy sitting at one of their tables and speaking with Diego. The ambiance is fun and cool and very welcoming, and my kids LOVE the gelato here. Although it was quiet when we went in on a weekday in the late afternoon, Diego assured us that things get slammed from midnight to 3am! I'm never up that late anymore, but I love hearing that this cool new spot has amazing hours for all of the club goers in the neighborhood. Diego said they're only closed for 4-5 hours a night since they open bright and early for breakfast. With my partner being Lebanese, I love a "Lebbo" (as he calls them) owned Gelato parlor open up nearby. They had some really delicious in house family recipes, as well as tons of classic Italian gelatos as well. Prices were a little high for my liking, but I hope the place lasts. I had been craving a Lemon Italian Ice for years and I walked into Gelati hoping they'd have it. I ordered a scoop of the Sicilian Lemon sorbet and the taste beyond what I'd hoped. So I ordered 2 more scoops. The sorbet was delicious and when I completed the owners, they told me they import it from Italy. Which made sense because honestly, I hadn't had this kind of flavor since I was in Italy 10 years ago. Lol Needless to say, I highly recommend Gelati. They have gelato and sorbet and some yummy looking desserts. There's indoor and outdoor seating, the vibe is calm and relaxing. I didn't take photos but I still wanted to be sure to review this gem of a place. I'm going back for my fill of that sorbet until I leave W. Hollywood next week. read more

Is sort of reminds you of Charlie and the chocolate factory. Everything looks and tastes delicious. From the colorful chairs and tables outside to the gorgeous wall decor inside. When it comes to gelato he has the most amazing flavors. He carries flavors that most would desire at other locations. The gelato is creamy, cold and smooth. I love the fact that he's diverse in selections. He offers acai bowls, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice. This is a one stop shop basically. Not to mention the customer service. Come here for the great crepes, the service was great. Recently change in staff and service has gone done significantly. The new guy I believe Julio short hair and glasses could use a pep in their step. Each time is a long wait even though I'm the only one waiting for food. Example today (01/27) - waited 20 minutes for my order of crepe, only for him to tell me "I never realized the crepe machine wasn't on", and he continues chatting with customers that got their food long time ago. The visit prior to this, same thing. The open at 9 but it seemed like he didn't show up until 9:30 when I walked in he was barely setting up, and same thing took forever for the crepe.
