The ice cream was a bit too floral and sweet for my taste, it honestly reminded me of incense sticks or a fragrant hotel body wash. I tried a few flavors since they sounded interesting, but I noticed that more than one had that same overly perfumed sweetness. My boyfriend and I both noticed it and weren't fans. I'm curious whether that's just their signature style or if maybe the batch that day was a little off. Would love to hear from others who've been before. In the end, I went with cookies and cream to play it safe, and my boyfriend got the banana foster mashti. "Mashti" is their style of serving it, they mash a scoop of ice cream between two wafers, and it's the same price as a regular scoop.

The Persian cucumber flavor is so refreshing. The ice cream is super soft and creamy. If you love quality ice cream you need to try this place. The variety of Persian flavors is amazing. It's very clean and the service is good. Parking can be tough if it's during a busy time but if it's during the day parking is a breeze!

Amazing. Drove 20 min to try for Mother's Day for the first time for date night. The young woman and young gentleman were lovely and very friendly and w great suggestions and pairings. I enjoyed it so much I made sure to leave a $20 cash tip for two workers. Mommy daddy and baby had a quick easy night w a special treat

Mash Malone's is always a nice place to go for a little treat with friends. The ice cream is delicious and tasty. The service is great. Give it a try should you be in the Hollywood area at La Brea.

First impression- It's pretty clean and bright. I'd say pretty inviting. Parking- There's a shared lot outside with plenty of parking. Ice cream - 2 flavors even for 1 scoop of ice cream are apparently charged at a two scoop price so just be aware Flavors - pomegranate sorbet - date fruit - Persian cucumber - I believe they have the seeds from actual cucumbers in the ice cream so be aware of that. I got the cucumber flavor at first I enjoyed it but by the time I ate a third of the scoop the ice cream was really starting to taste icy? Just a strange consistency I was expecting something similar to soft serve. The positives is it's a great palette cleansing flavor! Service- Helpful! Overall- Maybe I'd be inclined to come back if someone else wanted to go but truthfully it wasn't good enough to come back. That's just my take other people love this place.

Such a gem in Hollywood. Mashti Malone's Ice Cream is especially perfect on a hot day when you want something refreshing but a little different. They have the most amazing Persian/Middle Eastern-inspired ice creams and sorbets, and truly none of them disappoint. Everything tastes fresh and light, not overly sweet or heavy. Pro tip: don't miss the sour cherry syrup on the counter to the left after you order. My husband spotted it and added it on -- total game changer. My personal favorites so far are the saffron and pistachio (so rich and fragrant) and the pomegranate (super bright and refreshing). Already planning my next visit to try more flavors. Definitely a go-to spot.

Delicious and fresh once cream, I had the traditional Faloodeh with Saffron Pistachio. Very creamy and delicious. The Persian grocery stores in San Diego sell their Faloodeh and saffron ice cream sandwiches which I've had many times so it was really cool to get to try the products straight from the source! This location is in a strip mall that had limited parking. There is a Persian restaurant next door by the same owner. Food was good there too! Service was fine, the young man was nice enough, it was slow and he may just have been bored. There was some seating inside, we took ours to go. 5 stars for quality 100%, nothing else stands out as great but the ice cream is why we went so we were happy!

This is off of La Brea and Sunset. The parking can be a little difficult but we were able to snag a perfect spot! There's a huge sign in front of Mashti Malone. As you walk in, it looks like your basic ice cream shop but don't let that fool you! They had a few specific Persian ice cream flavors. Such as saffron rosewater pistachio and Faloodeh. It's so good! Perfect for a summer night. It is a little bit pricier than most ice cream places but still worth it. They also have some ice cream tubs for sale ( I think it might be their best sellers) as well as the viral sour cherry lavashak products. You can also put some lemon syrup and rose water syrup on your ice cream. A perfect touch! The customer service was nothing to write home about. He was patient as I was trying to figure out what I wanted lol. I can imagine it being really busy later on in the day as well as the weekends. Will I go here again? heck yes.

Mashti Malone has been around longer than the words "artisanal ice cream" existed and has outlast many business in the game. They have been serving up delicious handmade ice cream for years, using the freshest ingredients but what keeps them ahead of the game is that they are known for their Persian ice cream, sorbets and sweets. I absolutely love the saffron rose, pistachio, orange blossom and rose, faloudeh, just to name a few. Don't forget the cherry syrup! The tartness pairs up with the flavors nicely. It's been awhile since I have been there but the space looks smaller than when I last went. there are a few tables outside and a few indoors, in case you wanted to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Service was friendly and efficient. Now that the summer is around the corner, come by and enjoy the ice cream, especially if you love light sweet floral tastes.

Really like this place. We were in LA and walked in. The ice cream flavors totally hit the spot. I had the pistachio and the Turkish coffee. Also brought home some pastries that were incredible. Great find.

I finally tried this famous LA ice cream shop that serves fresh Persian flavors. I loved Alphonso Mango and Saffron Pistachio!

This place automatically deserves 5 stars because there's a FREE parking lot and I didn't have to drive around in circles looking for paid street parking!! HOWEVER, even without the parking perk this place is so so so so good! Service is GREAT!! You can sample as many flavors as you like, and although there was only one person working when I was there he never made me feel rushed even when there were other customers in line. I wish I got his name but if the manager sees this, you should give him a raise haha Ok now to the main part - the ice cream! So so so impressed by the variety of flavors this shop has to offer! I truly believe there is something that anyone would like because the flavors cater to any and every taste profile. I got a double scoop of the Matcha and Mango flavors and they both were so good, but I sampled a bunch of the other flavors and they were all delicious so you can't go wrong with any choice!! The serving size is also very generous, I could've split the double with someone! There's seats inside and also outdoor seating too!!

Night time is the best time to go because service is usually more attentive. The server had time to share their top picks with us when we went, which were the Sweetie, the Dear Chocolate and Honey Affogato. Our group got all three to try. Honey Affogato: 4/5 I usually go for items with caffeine and I wanted to like it more than I actually did. It was cold and refreshing at first but the coffee tasted a little too bitter towards the bottom of the cup. Dear Chocolate: 5/5 No notes other than, it was perfection. My friend mixed the chocolate well with the soft serve, and she liked the consistency and texture. It wasn't too sweet for her either. She also did not add the sea salt Sweetie: 5/5 The honeycomb "chunk" is chewy and had a more natural taste to it, if that is what you're into! Combined with the lightness of the soft serve, the Sweetie is a solid choice for the people who are looking for sweets that are not too sweet. Overall, this is a great spot for a sweet treat. The area did get a slight upgrade from what I heard - they have a photo booth and the walls look like they've been painted over for a more vibrant yellow. They also sell merch of Honeymee tumblrs, mugs, and of course, local honey jars! Parking is challenging because this location is smack dab in the heart of Little Tokyo Village! So I had to come back to the original store to get the flavors I wanted! Wow! They didn't disappoint! They let us sample as many ice cream flavors as we wanted! My mom was so happy to try many flavors, I was worried if they would get impatient. The young lady that helped us was super patient and nice!!! And later another young boy helped also was also super nice!! We to total got 5 pints to go, but I only took pictures of mine. The We got coffee and cookies, 2xcoconut pineapple, banana, and dark chocolate. I already have rocky road at home from the other marked up store. At Fosselman's, you can see they made sure it was fully packed that the lid almost couldn't cover it. Love this historic ice cream shop that still charge a reasonable price and having affordable ice cream!! The ambience is very cute with lots of candies for sale. We got some too! Very happy with our experience again! Love Fosselman's ice cream!!
