Strawberry and Earl Grey Turkish Coffee and Mint Chip
    Leslie C.

So many flavors at this Persian ice cream store. Staff was helpful and let us sample many flavors. The flavors fall more towards the floral side. The mint chip ice cream was not overwhelmingly minty nor did it taste like toothpaste. Turkish coffee tastes just like a light and creamy coffee. Earl grey was overly floral and didn't have much tea taste. Strawberry was a nice fruity flavor. Seating is mostly outside except for small tables inside. Overall a great ice cream spot for a sweet treat!

This was such a fun little treat! We had some of the best tasting mint chip ice cream. The kids really enjoyed it. The man working by himself was such a nice guy. Let us try everything before we made our choices. The ice cream shop is nice, clean and welcoming. It's definitely a stop for us while in LA.

Great service and unique flavors. The inside of the parlor does not fit for the location. It's very cute, light and airy, but the plaza is not. They are known for their saffron ice cream as well as rosewater base. I ordered a scoop and waffle cone and each bite tasted better than the last. The waffle cone was also perfect.

The ice cream was a bit too floral and sweet for my taste, it honestly reminded me of incense sticks or a fragrant hotel body wash. I tried a few flavors since they sounded interesting, but I noticed that more than one had that same overly perfumed sweetness. My boyfriend and I both noticed it and weren't fans. I'm curious whether that's just their signature style or if maybe the batch that day was a little off. Would love to hear from others who've been before. In the end, I went with cookies and cream to play it safe, and my boyfriend got the banana foster mashti. "Mashti" is their style of serving it, they mash a scoop of ice cream between two wafers, and it's the same price as a regular scoop.

The Persian cucumber flavor is so refreshing. The ice cream is super soft and creamy. If you love quality ice cream you need to try this place. The variety of Persian flavors is amazing. It's very clean and the service is good. Parking can be tough if it's during a busy time but if it's during the day parking is a breeze!

Walking into the store is like finding an oasis from the heat and hustle and bustle. The staff are equally as calm and friendly. The flavors here are out of this world. I went for creamy rosewater and Turkish coffee and it was such a treat!

There are ice cream shops, and then there are places that feel like a little cultural experience. That's exactly what visiting Mashti Malone's Ice Cream feels like every single time. We went on a Saturday night and parking was surprisingly a breeze, which already felt like a win in Los Angeles. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, happily letting us sample flavors before deciding. What really impressed me is that I've seen this place absolutely packed before, yet the service never loses its warmth or consistency. Even when it's busy they still take the time to help you explore flavors and enjoy the experience. One of my favorite things about coming here is trying something new every time. This visit I sampled the Oreo mint, which was solid and refreshing, probably a four out of five for me. I also tried the lavender flavor which was interesting and fragrant, maybe not something I would order again, but I genuinely love that this place gives you the opportunity to explore flavors you just don't see in typical American ice cream shops. That's the magic here. Persian desserts bring a completely different level of creativity and tradition, and you can really taste that difference. What I appreciate most is how this place celebrates Persian culture through dessert. The flavors feel elegant, unique, and thoughtfully crafted in a way that you just don't find in the average ice cream spot. It's the kind of place that reminds you that food can be a cultural bridge. I absolutely love coming here and every visit reminds me why this place has such a loyal following. Consistently great service, adventurous flavors, and a vibe that feels welcoming every time. This place is a gem.

Mash Malone's is always a nice place to go for a little treat with friends. The ice cream is delicious and tasty. The service is great. Give it a try should you be in the Hollywood area at La Brea.

First impression- It's pretty clean and bright. I'd say pretty inviting. Parking- There's a shared lot outside with plenty of parking. Ice cream - 2 flavors even for 1 scoop of ice cream are apparently charged at a two scoop price so just be aware Flavors - pomegranate sorbet - date fruit - Persian cucumber - I believe they have the seeds from actual cucumbers in the ice cream so be aware of that. I got the cucumber flavor at first I enjoyed it but by the time I ate a third of the scoop the ice cream was really starting to taste icy? Just a strange consistency I was expecting something similar to soft serve. The positives is it's a great palette cleansing flavor! Service- Helpful! Overall- Maybe I'd be inclined to come back if someone else wanted to go but truthfully it wasn't good enough to come back. That's just my take other people love this place.

Delicious and fresh once cream, I had the traditional Faloodeh with Saffron Pistachio. Very creamy and delicious. The Persian grocery stores in San Diego sell their Faloodeh and saffron ice cream sandwiches which I've had many times so it was really cool to get to try the products straight from the source! This location is in a strip mall that had limited parking. There is a Persian restaurant next door by the same owner. Food was good there too! Service was fine, the young man was nice enough, it was slow and he may just have been bored. There was some seating inside, we took ours to go. 5 stars for quality 100%, nothing else stands out as great but the ice cream is why we went so we were happy!

This is off of La Brea and Sunset. The parking can be a little difficult but we were able to snag a perfect spot! There's a huge sign in front of Mashti Malone. As you walk in, it looks like your basic ice cream shop but don't let that fool you! They had a few specific Persian ice cream flavors. Such as saffron rosewater pistachio and Faloodeh. It's so good! Perfect for a summer night. It is a little bit pricier than most ice cream places but still worth it. They also have some ice cream tubs for sale ( I think it might be their best sellers) as well as the viral sour cherry lavashak products. You can also put some lemon syrup and rose water syrup on your ice cream. A perfect touch! The customer service was nothing to write home about. He was patient as I was trying to figure out what I wanted lol. I can imagine it being really busy later on in the day as well as the weekends. Will I go here again? heck yes.

Mashti Malone has been around longer than the words "artisanal ice cream" existed and has outlast many business in the game. They have been serving up delicious handmade ice cream for years, using the freshest ingredients but what keeps them ahead of the game is that they are known for their Persian ice cream, sorbets and sweets. I absolutely love the saffron rose, pistachio, orange blossom and rose, faloudeh, just to name a few. Don't forget the cherry syrup! The tartness pairs up with the flavors nicely. It's been awhile since I have been there but the space looks smaller than when I last went. there are a few tables outside and a few indoors, in case you wanted to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Service was friendly and efficient. Now that the summer is around the corner, come by and enjoy the ice cream, especially if you love light sweet floral tastes.

    Vahd N.

This Persian ice cream shop is a true gem and so popular for a reason! They have a huge variety of flavors you simply won't find anywhere else. I'm absolutely in love with their cucumber ice cream, saffron, and their falude, which is a delicate blend of noodles, rosewater, and ice. I also love their Dates ice cream, plus flavors like pomegranate and guava. so many unique fruity options. I always get a trio of scoops, and I'm never disappointed. The prices are fair not too high, not too low which is perfect for indulging in a special treat. That said, the staff could definitely improve. I noticed they often hire teens who are just on their phones or chatting, and it would make a big difference if they stayed more focused, especially on cleaning the glass display, which gets smudged often. Still, I give this place 5 stars because the flavors and quality of ice cream are top-notch. I just hope the management keeps a closer eye on the staff so the whole experience stays as sweet as the ice cream!

The ice cream also had a buttery taste to it. It might have been from the toast, but I'm not too sure. The bread itself wasn't oily, which was nice, but it was kind of dry. The pandan sauce definitely helped make it easier to eat. I probably wouldn't eat the bread by itself though because it was super hard and didn't really have much flavor. So we decided to come here for coffee or tea and ended up having a really nice time. I used to come here quite often about four years ago. Back then, I really liked their Einspänner and ordered it several times. But the last time I came, I thought it was way too sweet, so I hadn't been back since. It had actually been a REALLY long time since I last visited. And when I used to come here four years ago, I always came in the morning or around lunchtime. Last night was my first time ever coming here at night. My friend told us that they are open until midnight, so that's why we decided to come here after dinner. I had heard that parking here can be a nightmare because there aren't enough parking spaces and people have a hard time finding a spot. But once again, my parking luck was AMAZING! A car pulled out right in front of me just as I arrived, so I was able to park very easily. Another friend arrived later than I did, and she said she couldn't find a parking spot at all. She drove around for quite a while looking for one before finally finding street parking. Last night, we also had some tiramisu, and since I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, I decided to have a caffeine-free ade instead of coffee or tea. It was a little sweet for my taste, but it was ok. We sat outside on the outdoor patio and talked and talked and talked. We had such a fun time together! However, it was actually pretty cold outside last night. I remember thinking that it felt surprisingly chilly. But what was even crazier was how FREEZING cold it was inside the café! They had the air conditioning turned up so high that both my friends and I felt like we were going to freeze to death. The restroom is inside, and I also went inside to get some water, so I mentioned to one of the male employees that it was freezing inside. He told me that they didn't feel cold at all because they were working, and that THEY were actually feeling really hot. I went back to our table and told my friends what he had said, and they were like, "WHAT?! We're freezing to death over here!" The parking lot here is actually pretty large, so I was wondering why it was so difficult to find a parking spot. Apparently, at night, the left side is the café, while on the right side there is a bar where people can drink and also play games. There was a huge line of people waiting outside the bar last night, so I'm guessing that's probably why the parking lot gets so crowded and it's hard to find a spot. It was also pretty chilly outside last night because of the low temperature, so one thing I wished they had on the outdoor patio was heaters. That would have made sitting outside much more comfortable on a cold night.

The barista was super helpful with explaining what each drink was, didn't steer us in any direction though. The Houjicha shaved ice was the standout. Houjicha is a toasted green tea, and the flavor is a little difficult to describe--it has a warm, grainy, almost wheat-like taste that's very different from traditional green tea. At first, it can seem like an unusual flavor, but don't give up on it. Once you add the syrup they serve on the side and keep eating, it really grows on you. It somehow gets better with every bite, and before you know it, you can't stop eating it. The Iced Brown Sugar Miso Latte wasn't exactly what I was in the mood for, but it was still well made. It had a nice balance of umami and sweetness without either flavor overpowering the other. While it wasn't my personal favorite, I'd still recommend it if you're looking to try something a little different. Overall, Anko is a great spot if you're looking for unique Japanese-inspired desserts and drinks in a calm, beautifully designed space.

Excited to try my rocky road cookie tonight.

It's relatively busy but the line moved swiftly. The Larchmont store was pretty lively with the crowded and colorful wall deco! It's pretty fun to see that they came up with more seasonal items lately and most of them nailed it well when they came to cookies. Previously the lemon one and the most recent was the Raspberry Pistachio which I was impressed by as I just fancied sweet and refreshing combo of white chocolate and raspberry. The pistachio added more texture to it for sure. Same as any Levain cookies, best enjoyed warm and fresh out of oven. The Cookie Milk Latte was actually the main reason bringing me here, yet I was bit let down by it as I was expecting more malty cookie flavor in the drink. I felt it tasted not much different to regular cream top latte with some cookie crumbles in it.

We had the Citron…read morefruit dessert after seeing it all the time on TikTok, and the Dubai Chocolate Matcha Cake. The Citron was a citrusy yuzu cheesecake with passion fruit lemon juice inside, leaking and bursting with tangy flavor! The cake was fluffy and decadent and melt in your mouth. The Cake was crunchy topped it matcha chocolate shell to smash it open. It was so much fun. The moose was so divine and light and airy it almost felt like a cloud in my mouth. At the bottom of it was crispy and crunchy pistachio kataifi, shredded toasted wheat dough, and so nutty and crispy combining with the cloudy mousse. 10/10!!!

First time here! We'd heard so much about this place and really wanted to try these desserts for…read moreourselves. We came right around opening and there were already quite a few people, but thankfully no line. Everything was still available, so we got the strawberry, mango, and lemon desserts, plus a box of ice cream. We tried the lemon one there - and it was really good! The center is super runny, though, so be careful because it can get messy fast The strawberry was definitely my favorite - such an interesting combination with a really bright strawberry flavor. The mango was good too, but I probably should have gone with a different fruit. The ice cream was honestly a 5/10 for me. You can find similar, or even better, ice cream at a dollar store, so I'd skip that The strawberry lemonade, on the other hand, was SO good! Not too sweet, with a nice tart flavor. Definitely recommend it! The café itself was clean, cute, and welcoming, and the staff was friendly. Would I come back? Probably not. I think these desserts are more of a trendy experience that everyone should try at least once. I'm glad we did, and the quality here is definitely great - I just don't think I'm going to become a fan of this type of dessert.
