Guess who became a tourist for a day?! I've never actually walked through Hollywood Blvd because I hate driving in LA. But I somehow found the courage to sit in traffic and do touristy things today lol. Parking: Good luck finding a spot! You can try to get lucky with metered street parking. There were a few paid public parking structures, so I just parked in that. Ambiance/Environment: This spot was conveniently located in the heart of Hollywood's Walk of Fame. It was really hard to miss its big sign and vibrant colors. There is no indoor or outdoor seating. They have a small space, so it can get a bit tight. Service: Shout out to Anastasia and Alina! They were by themselves for a while, but they were quick & efficient! What we ordered: My bf and I only got desserts! We'll have to come back to try their drinks w/ CBD! 1) Ferrero French Crepe - Wow this was absolutely chocolatey! They weren't messing around with the Ferrero! I was super excited to visit this place--was craving dessert and heard great things about it on TikTok! I go into the store, the menu is outdated, the worker tells me the menu is incorrect (I went specifically to try one of the unique flavors advertised), and the price is insanely high. I decide to order a crepe because, hey, can't mess that up right? The picture displayed of the crepe doesn't match what I received at all. Instead of it being filled with strawberries/nutella/oreos...it has diced strawberries on top, drizzles of Nutella, and crumbles of Oreo--nothing like advertised. I visited Holloywood last weekend and tried this place. They make the chimney cake cone fresh to order, and used them as ice cream cones. The chimney cake itself was fantastic- fresh, soft and with the perfect level of sweetness. We got the smores ice cream. It was very fun to watch them to make the smores and the chimney cake and taste so good! We also got their strawberry banana crepes, also cooked fresh to order and it's filled with freshly cute fruit, drizzled with chocalate sauce. Both desserts are 10/10. The prices are reasonable, especially this is in Hollywood and they use healthy ingredients like grass-fed milk. It's definitely worth it. The shop is right on famous Hollywood Blvd, prepare extra time to find parking, street parking or parking lots. I will definitely come back for their dessert next time when I visit Hollywood. Turn Dough is located along Hollywood Blvd Walk of Fame. I like Turn Dough because it is a 2-for-1 dessert experience if you get the chimney cake cone. You get the ice cream and toppings of your choice and the delicious chimney cake cone. To be honest, the chimney cake is the best part of that experience. Of course the ice cream is good, however, the chimney cake is the feature and star of the show. There is a wide variety of ice cream flavors, toppings, and combinations to choose from. You can order milkshakes, crepes, waffle bowls, gelato, and of course, ice cream chimney cakes. The customer service is OK, however, there is no speed in their service. Perhaps because they are working nonstop and pace themselves throughout the day as tourist foot traffic is non-stop. I visited a couple time during the day and again at night and the speed of order taking and order fulfillment was so nonchalant. The inside of the store is small and would be appropriate for a small town, however, the inside is too small and inappropriate for a novelty ice cream shop in the heart of the Hollywood Walk of Fame that sees thousands of tourists and locals each and every day. Coupled with the slow service and you can understand why the inside of the store gets incredibly packed even on a weeknight. Plan accordingly. Overall a good experience. Give them a try. read more

Went as a fun little get out with my little one. Parking is nonexistent, so be prepared to park at Hollywood and Highlands as to not become stressed circling hoping for metered parking. We found this place from social media . My husband brought me here for my birthday . Parking is not easy to find but luckily we got a spot on the street . The store is small but super cute ! When you reach the Star for B.B. King on the Star Walk, look up and you'll see. Don't know that B.B. King was a legendary Bluesman? No biggie, just aim for the Hollywood Wax Museum, Turn Dough is right next to that promotion of kitsch. The façade and decor here fits the surroundings beautifully! The menu is somewhat redundant between choice of the namesake cone or a milkshake. Fortunately, there are quite a few options to choose from, which is what kept me staring at the menu display outside. While I deliberated and changed my mind several times I got to see a lot of the items delivered to customers standing outside waiting for their orders. These aren't quick assembly items mind you and bear a hefty price tag depending on your point of view. Lemon, Honey Pistachio, or Frutti? Hmmmm. The gf decided for me, Frutti it would be. My friends decided on one each: cone and milkshake. I placed my order and the wonderful employees were permitting in my request to take pictures of each step of the way during assembly. My pictures below reveal it's not exactly 123. First, the rolled (turned) dough is spiraled around a mold, rolled in cinnamon and sugar for a nice coating, similar to a churro, then lightly baked to make the dough firm enough to hold up to the fillings and toppings. I'd say they're closer to cinnamon buns in texture and taste. Then, they put an ample amount of Nutella, of which they use mass quantities of throughout their menu, inside the cone with a cake spatula. I was thinking they should add crépes to the menu too. After applying Nutella the cone was filled with vanilla softserve ice cream to the top where some sliced strawberries and blueberries were set in there. Next came a proper swirl of more softserve and more fruit was pressed into the surface. It reminded me of making a snowman. The last step was a drizzling of chocolate syrup and voila! Nearly $15 with tax but given all the steps described above you can see it's not exactly a simple process, assembled one at a time. They have one cone that's almost $27 because edible 24 karat gold relief is applied. And, and CBD can be added so presumably you can wander around Hollywood buzzed afterwards. The inside is totally set up for selfies and Social Media, but it's blocked off presently. It's small inside so don't expect to eat on premises. The menu seems to cater to all tastes so if you're nearby, stop in. McDonald's is across the street but you know, they'll probably tell you their softserve machine "is being cleaned". Guess who's machines are running? That's right, Turn Dough's are. read more

While strolling past some famous "stars" on the ground, I was suddenly hit with the smell of delicious bread wafting through the air. Through the window I saw the churro cones being made and spinning around as they baked. I looked at their menu and we decided to share a cone and a shake. We ordered the Ferrero Rosher shake and the Nutella Dream cone. All their cones are coated with Nutella, so I got myself a double dose of Nutella goodness! The cone was so delicious, the cinnamon sugar on soft doughy bread coated with Nutella was a dream. Paired well with the tasty vanilla ice cream! It was a bit confusing because there were lines of people waiting for their orders, but you can walk right in to place an order. Each dessert is a decent size, you can share with another person. They make their cones by order right in front of you so you can watch the magic happen! Once you place your order, they give you a number and some wipes (for before or after). The cone was really sweet and it did not really remind me of a churro or a cake it was a thin cone and it just tasted like dusted sprinkled sugar. And since the cone is hot the ice cream just turns to liquid. The ice cream was just okay. The cones are pretty expensive so I don't think I would order that again but I might try their crepes. My favorite experience in HOLLYWOOD. I took my family here for ice cream with zero knowledge of what I was in store for. I thought I was coming in for regular ice cream...this place is far from regular. Very delicious soft dough as the cone comes warm and with the cold ice cream it was the best combination I've ever had. My children each ordered a different type of ice cream and these things were monstrous! I got a chance to sample each one of theirs and each had a unique taste so delicious.
