Came here for some late night boba, the store itself was interesting. No frills and in a struggling shopping center, where the only place thriving is the Chuck E. Cheese. So they was plenty of parking! Ordered the brown sugar tea and it was delicious! The boba was meh. The service was quick. read more

Huh?! Came in to get tofu. $11.95 Bro had nose hair. Sweaty. Just wanted a location which didn't have a lot of people. Huh?! Too slow. Too slow! Just kept holding me up. Worst Asian spot ever. Bye. read more

It says soft opening but I think it's been there for a while. This is located in a dead plaza. We stopped by Chuck E Cheese and the kids wanted some boba. I got a Taro blended ice, kids got peach blended ice and Taro milk tea with boba and rainbow jelly. All 50% sweet, which was perfect for us. I cannot stand boba that is too sweet. The peach blended was the sweetest and Taro milk tea the least sweet. Everything was good and the price was reasonable. Check them out if you are in the area. read more

Food: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Food: 5/5. I was pleasantly surprised thar the food here was amazingly good. I have tried Mapo Tofo from many places and this Mapo Tofu has to be on my Top 3. There was a slight sour taste with enough heat and spice to flavor but not scorch your tongue. The chow mein was also good and the orange chicken was decent. I had to give the food a five because the Mapo Tofu cracked my top 3 list. Price: 5/5. Price seemed slightly high but understandable due to inflation. My expectations was for fast food prices. However, quality was much above fast food quality. Overall I got 3 entrees, 2 boba drinks for about $60 with tax and a decent tip. The amount of food was enough to feed 2 people for 2 separate meals and we were both STUFFED. It was basically $30 a meal since we managed to turn it into 2 meals (I'm a big eater). Service: 5/5: friendly and patient staff. I ordered inside and received my food hot and fresh after about 10 minutes. Ambiance: 3/5: few tables, wide open center. It's more of a place to just eat your food and run. If you're coming for ambiance think again. If you're coming for quality Chinese food for a decent price this is the spot. read more

Love their food AND the boba, always very good. Sometimes there's a small wait but it's worth it, the employees are always kind as well!

Don't be fooled--the food here is amazing, particularly the spicy salt pork chop, or salt and pepper pork chop. Please help this business out as the employees are extremely kind and service is incredibly fast. read more

Look, I'm just a fan of Boba Wok. This little chinese spot makes great boba and good food at a reasonable price. I hesitate to talk the boba up as it's not only better than other boba areas around the way, but it's easily accessible, and ALOT less people than Boba Time. The popcorn chicken is a favorite, and they make a mean salt and pepper fish as well. I've been satisfied at this place everytime, I love that I found this place by chance and I make it a weekly to give this business some love! read more

Despite the reviews, Bobawok has been coming through for the past month of quarantine. FOOD -Popcorn Chicken: chicken is actually moist! I've gotten it twice and so far it's been good. Make sure to ask dor spicy because it's better that way. (Note that if you're doing delivery, you'll run the risk of the outside skin not being as crispy anymore from the steam) -Sesame Balls: surprisingly LEGIT. You get 8 pieces in one order and that's plenty. The filling inside is red bean. Dim sum quality. DRINKS -Coffee Milk Tea: I believe they put actual coffee with milk tea because I had to mix it and the flavor is not your typical flavored milk tea. There was some bitterness to it. Boba topping itself? It's alright. Texture is chewy but it wasn't soaked in sugar/syrup long enough so it wasn't sweet. Or could it have been the coffee? -House Milk Tea: not bad but not great. I would go with this if you're not sure what flavor to get (for now) -Lychee Mango Black Tea: now this was pretty good and probably my favorite non-milk tea drink so far. Flavor is good and I would get it 25% sweet. read more

I came here on Thursday for lunch, place was empty, I got half order of Kung pao chicken white rice and egg roll, took it back to my work! Kung pao was fatty chicken with no flavor, they need to go to frontier wok and learn from them! Maybe it's good for drinks, but never getting food again! read more

We got the fried udon combination and it had great flavor. The orange chicken was good as well. Fast service.

This Review is for online ordering and delivery. (In our case... via Grubhub) Boba options in Burbank are limited but I have to commend Boba Wok for bringing us beverage and food joy during these crazy Covid times we live in now. Having both plentiful Boba/Tea drink options that actually taste good, plus rice and noodle favorites like Yang Chow Rice or BBQ Chow Fun with a side of Popcorn Chicken ... makes Boba Wok a winner for us. Added perk is the ability to order exact specifications online... and have our customized drinks easily reordered with one click each time. Not a fan of Boba Loca... and i can't justify places like Boba Time with delivery and service fees just to deliver drinks without lunch too... Thanks Boba Wok. Please stay afloat! read more

I randomly stumbled upon this place and I couldn't be happier!! I purchased a boba tea and egg rolls and both were delicious! Definitely one of the best matcha bobas I have ever had and the sweet level was great!!! Definitely recommend giving this place a try!! read more

Ok, first of all, 5 stars is given because they are probably the best shot at milk tea and popcorn chicken(Taiwanese version) I can find in Burbank area. Having working in Burbank area for the past 8 years has not been easy for someone like me who's always on the look for some milk tea and popcorn chicken for a decent tea break.... I always get their green milk tea (or house milk tea) with grass jelly (yes they do have grass jelly, just ask! ) and an order of popcorn chicken. Not bad seriously, thus, the 5 stars. Their other items on the menu doesn't look too attractive but I will give them a try on other items and update my review. read more

What a nice place! Great drinks and EXCELLENT customer service! I brought my nieces here for bobas rather than going to my usual, Boba Time. Lucky for me, I had the best quality boba of my life. Boba quality - 5/5 Flavor - 5/5 Price - 4/5 Texture - 4/5 Aesthetics - 5/5 Customer Service - 5/5 No matter where I go, I find boba to be overpriced. That being said, whenever I'm in LA, I will make it a point to come back here a support this business. Also, make sure to grab a frequency card! read more

I just to make it clear that the review below is specifically for the ORANGE CHICKEN I ordered. BTW, I did order a regular milk tea and I agree with the other reviewers. DO NOT COME here for boba unless you are truly thirsty for one. As for the orange chicken I ordered (lunch special) it came with soup and I opted for the fried rice. The quality of the dish is what you would expect from a typical Chinese fast food joint. It was good but not great. For the price it was truly a great value. The amount of food they serve for a lunch special can be consumed by 2 individuals. I actually had to give some of the fried rice away because it was A LOT and the orange chicken I ate for lunch and an afternoon snack. Summary: - Don't come here for the boba which is odd hence the name; it's like clickbait pretty much (they fooled me) - Don't expect great service - just be glad that they took your order lol - Come here if you are craving for Chinese fast food and just looking to hit it and quit it - Definitely great value read more

One of the best Boba spots in town! Quick service for the most part, the atmosphere is also very quiet and enjoyable, can get work done if need be. I walked into BobaWok for the first time on a weekday and it was clean and bright inside. There were only two customers waiting for their order so the shop was pretty empty. I ordered an iced Thai tea with boba and decided to pair it with some popcorn chicken. The guy at the counter wasn't too helpful even though I told him I was a first time customer. He asked me "how spicy?" and I asked him what the levels were since everyone does things slightly differently. I asked him if "medium" was really spicy because at another place it was enough to make my mouth fire. He said it was spicy, so I tried it. However, it wasn't spicy at all :( I've had mild popcorn chicken and even that was spicer than BobaWok's medium. The chicken itself was just okay. Although it's fried, it was a little too oily for my taste. The Thai tea was delicious! The tea itself was refreshing and the boba was nice and sweet. read more

Boba Wok Burbank... I came here with good intentions for takeout. The tea menu looked good... However, an employee was scratching as I looked at the menu. Then, I saw pork instead of beef as an offering. Still, I thought to get some tofu vegetable something to go. I asked about the sauce used on the braised tofu. The employee didn't know I was talking about. So I was like "Garlic sauce, sweet & sour... you know like ginger, hmmm...". He replied, "Our base is soy sauce, This is Chinese food". And so, no Chinese takeout for me tonight. However, I completely hearted their neon signs, "CHINESE FOOD" and "Welcome OPEN". read more

A solid milk tea!! Good boba is hard to come by in the valley, especially your regular milk tea. But this is a solid milk tea, quality and taste similar to lollicup. I have yet to try anything else because I know the milk tea is so good! They offer food and snacks as well. The chicken lo mein ($5.99 special) comes with a good amount of chicken, noodles, garlic, a little bit of cabbage, and green onions. Great with a little sriracha! The popcorn chicken ($4.99) is bomb! Just like any popcorn chicken you get in the OC - crispy, a little fatty, good chunks of chicken with a little fried basil and you can choose how spicy you want it. Although the mild had no spice at all and the medium was a little tooooo spicy for my tas This place is great because it's reminiscent of your standard boba place in Orange County, but in Burbank and with a great offering of Chinese food as well! The only thing that would make it better is a stamp card for the boba, because I'm gonna be coming here a lot! Update: they now have stamp cards!! Buy 8, get 1 f read more

An update: I ordered party trays for my company party of about 50 people. So easy and such great service. I'm always happy when I come here ^_^ read more

I've been here about 3 times. The food is ok, not the best. The noodles we ordered actually had a really burnt taste to them and we didn't end up eating them. I've also had a few boba milk teas. The lavender one is my favorite. However, the biggest issue here is the horrible service. All 3 times, I dealt with the young man. He obviously hates being there. He is SO rude. The menus are confusing, so the first time I ordered, I misunderstood because of the confusing menus and he talked to me like I was stupid. So I never ordered food from there again. The second time I ordered 4 bobas. He entered them in and then I repeated the order. He confirmed and then at the end only gave me 3 saying I never mentioned a fourth one. Then he went on to make the order for the next person before completing mine. The third time I went in was during quarantine and apparently there's one table you're not supposed to sit at because I guess that's where he sits when there aren't any customers. There was no sign posted or anything. He spoke to me in such a rude manner. Another customer came in and had the same experience. All 3 times I felt just horrible energy. He just seems irritated all the time. No smile, no customer appreciation. It's just not very good service. read more

Probably one of the only few places you can find Taiwanese popcorn chicken in Burbank. Ordered some popcorn friend chicken and was not disappointed. It was light, crispy, and juicy. The only criticism I have is that I wish the spice on the popcorn chicken was spicier. I got the medium level spice and it tasted like I ordered it with mild spice. Overall though, the chicken was delicious, prices are very affordable, and the wait for the chicken was pretty fast. Definitely coming back to get more popcorn chicken and try the boba next time. read more

Straight up and down, in all my life I have never been to a boba place like this. The name is boba wok meaning boba is a huge part of the menu. Is that true? No, the boba was old, the liquid was pure syrup, and it was honestly expensive. I spent 4.37 for a large drink with boba. I can go to boba time that is a 10 min drive and get a boba that 20x better for the practically the same price (Of which I did). Jeez I hate writing bad reviews for small businesses but cmon your name is boba wok. You have boba in the name, it should be good. The only thing your boba made be do was make me wok out of the store. read more

This place is very close by so it's very convenient. I got the rose milk tea and it was soooooo good. It has a strong flowery taste which I was hoping for so if you don't enjoy the strong flower taste I wouldn't recommend but if you do then DEFINITELY try it. They also put so much Boba it's great. I asked for double boba though. I finished my drink and still had so much left over . If you're planning on paying less than $5 make sure you take cash because there is a minimum charge for using a card. Will 100% be coming back. read more

I love their popcorn chicken! One of my faves! We ordered Chicken Chow Fun and few other dishes and all were excellent!

I've lived in Burbank for over 35 years and I've never seen more horrible service than this. The owner/manager is fighting with every single customer that walks in and he does not care about customer appreciation or service. He talks to you with an attitude, has no smile, and makes you wait long periods for minimal requests. This place is also filthy and it reeks. Burbank is about service and family and maintaining a welcoming environment. This place heavily lacks in those areas. It's sad that we cannot give business to our own community. read more

I see now why this place has 3 stars, let's start with the cleanliness of this place, as soon as you see the glass door it looks like nobody bothers to clean or wipe it down, it looks so unsanitary. Secondly the rudeness of the employee is uncalled for, thirdly the cashier will handle cash the proceed to handle the food without washing his hands. Absolutely disgusted by the process.
