Horrible customer service and I saw a baby roach on the floor. Never coming here again

I can't say anything about the physical location as I've not gone before but since the covid lockdown I've ordered delivery from them twice, mostly for boba drinks (gotta have my fix!). My favorite flavor of tea is rose and they do it SO well, with rose petals in the drink too. I order it with 50% sweetness and the rose flavor is super fragrant. The green rose tea AND the rose milk tea are bomb. I've also ordered the coffee milk tea for my bf and at 25% sweet it was a smooth coffee kick. Their black tea has just a hint of roasty flavor. The lychee smoothie was too sweet. Their boba to drink ratio is solid and the boba itself is super chewy the way I like it! This place will definitely be my go-to for boba! As for food, I've only had their popcorn chicken was was delicious, light and crispy, and the portion size was good. My only complaint was that, in our current times, i have a heightened awareness of how things are packaged, and the paper box the chicken came in was kept wide opem, with only a napkin on top to cover the food from exposure to air. The chicken was overflowing, so I'd recommend getting a bigger box for it that can be closed completely. read more

I came to pick up my order and had to wait while two other people who ordered after me got their food. He said because they were cooking the food. I ordered walnut shrimp. When it came out the shrimp was room temp but the rice was warm. I started eating the food and it was so rubbery, it was hard to chew and the mayo sauce was thick. They fill up the carton half way with these chips and then put the shrimp on top so it looks like a lot but it's not. The almond boba tea I got tasted like the mix. I ended up throwing away the food by the time I got to the Kmart. Never again. read more

Decided to try this place out for the first time. I orded from a very unfriendly gentleman some orange chicken and thai iced boba tea. The large empty dining area had a few chairs spaced out along the wall so i sat in the one closest to the door but was asked to wait outside despite being the only one there. I went outside to wait and no other customers came. After some time waiting in the sun i peaked in to see my order just sitting there on the counter. The dude working who forced me to go outside was so incredibly lazy he couldn't bring my order out to me despite having no customers and nothingbetter to do. Food was pretty mediocre and the drink was fine but they really need to fire the guy working if they hope to ever survive. I won't be going back and hopefully they will go out of business like the last place so we can get something better in its place. read more

I almost can't fathom that I'm writing this but there was a mangled staple in my soup from Bobawok that pierced the inside of my cheek as I was eating. I always read the reviews when ordering on Grubhub from a new restaurant, and there was another customer "Shani" from 5/25/20 who claimed to have found staples in their fried rice... I thought given all the other positive reviews that perhaps the individual might be exaggerating, but it happened to me too! Stay FAR away from this restaurant! Short and simple review. Mediocre food. Prices are higher then your typical hole in the wall Chinese spot, but the portions are big, I'd suggest having a small and large entree option. What in the world Burbank is definitely not the place to get your boba. I'm not a fan of any of the places. I would rather drive out to SGV and get some quality than the boba I got here. Price is average. Service was pretty bad. The girl seemed like she hated being there. The person that ordered after me asked for any suggestions, and the girl working said no.... ?? I understand if she didn't know what to suggest, but it was in a rude tone. Second, when I got there, there was no one in the store, yet I had to wait maybe 8 min for my drink. This is a review for their Boba. I did not order any Chinese food from this restaurant. Came in with my family and ordered 3 different flavors of Boba. The price rang up to $5 each (after tax) which was more expensive or comparable to the chain Boba places that I usually go to - which I found to be a bit on the pricey side. They only had pre-made pitchers of 1 of the flavors we ordered so we had to wait until she mixed individual portions of the other 2 flavors. Watching her scoop up the mixtures of powder and simple syrup, and mix up with hot water, nothing was measured and she was basically eyeballing the amount she was putting in the cups. Sure enough, the almond Boba I ordered was way too sweet and undrinkable. To make things worse, she did not make enough from the individual portions that she mixed to fill the Boba cup, so she topped it off with a different pre-made mixture. It was over 85 degrees in the store, and I was dying of heat while I had to wait over 10 minutes for her to make the 3 Boba teas we ordered. Once we finally got our Boba teas, my kids had to spit out the bobas because they were stale and hard. I ended up taking a couple of sips of mine and tossed the rest. It tasted like pure sugar water. My boys, who would typically suck down anything sweet, couldn't even finish theirs. If this place was cheap, I would understand. But it was the priciest Boba I had and by far the worst tasting. I ordered the Kung Pao Beef lunch special. The beef is properly pounded and served up piping hot but with a few too many green peppers, in my opinion. The hot sour soup was served fresh from the stove and was good. The Taro Milk Tea is very good, but the boba are excellent, just as they should taste - slightly sweet and chewable. I've ordered from here many times, portion size is great for the price and the selection of different Thai teas and drinks is really nice. Recently they've updated their aesthetics and it's much easier to break down the menu items and is a bit more modern now. While I don't like posting bad reviews, and rarely do, because one experience can't always mean it's always going to be a bad one and it may have just been unlucky, but unfortunately after giving BobaWok a shot a few times times during quarantine, just to get some variation on take out, it's not the best Chinese food place in Burbank. Frankly, you're better off going to Panda for the cost. While the portions are big, the food quality is sub par. The orange chicken is really hard and the breading is very difficult to bite into. Like rock hard. The rice is bland and just oily (friend rice) and the pork was very chewy and hard, charred, and unfortunately upon purchasing, already smelled off. Like peculiar garbage can smell. I thought my nose was off but turns out stomach issues ended up happening. So beware of freshness of the food! Unfortunately just was a very big fail and a waste of 25$. The one exception that makes this review a two star rather than a one, is their variety of boba drinks. read more

This is not place to get your boba for sure. Food is expensive for a fast Chinese food joint. If you want good quality Chinese food with better prices and without the feel of a fast Chinese food joint, try Frontier or Western Wok. Those 2 options are by far better than Boba Wok. Dude at the front not very friendly and messes up the easy orders. Definitely not coming back to this joint ever again. Food taste is just what you would expect from a fast food joint. BobaWok is amaaaaaazing! We tried it for the first time last week, and I've been daydreaming about it ever since. We were so happy to find a place not only with a wide variety of boba drinks, but also really delicious food! Our favorites are the pork chow mein and chicken fried rice. Wow so glad I gave this place a try. This is my new go to spot for Chinese food and boba. Taste in drinks and food are consistent and fresh. Food is mediocre but these guys know nothing about customer satisfaction. Everything is "no, no no" or "sorry I can't do that". I ask for a lunch special with noodles instead of rice and he says nope. Then I offer to pay extra and he still says no. I ask why? Do you know what his response was???
