The service, the ambiance and the food "Great". I haven't been here in years and now that I'm back on the west... I had to revisit this place. It just as I remembered and the dishes are still hitting'. Definitely a must to make a spot here if you're in LA. Vegans are welcome... you won't be disappointed. Good spot as my go to here... My daughter was so excited to bring us here. She's been here a few times. We don't live close and so it's a bit of a drive but so worth it. Service was friendly. Our server was great.. When I really enjoy food, it's not just delicious, it's DA-LICIOUS! We sat outside instead of inside so I don't know what the inside looks like. It was a beautiful sunny day in LA so had to sit outside instead. We ordered the blueberry and lemon waffle breakfast, a banana nut waffle, vanilla latte. AMAZING. We also got Vegetarian omelet and chocolate waffles that were also Yummy!! Wish this place was close to us but we'll definitely return.

My in laws pass this place every weekend, so we decided to finally give it a try while visiting. The restaurant itself is super cute from the outside and offers both outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor area has a really fun retro diner vibe that makes the place feel unique. The line honestly was not too bad for a Saturday morning, but the service took forever. It took a long time just to get seated because one girl was handling check ins, checking table availability, and seating everyone herself. Once we sat down, it also took awhile to place our order and we quickly realized asking for anything extra probably was not going to happen. I will say they do have a lot of plant-based breakfast and lunch options, which my husband appreciated. Overall though, for the amount of waiting, the food was painfully mid. Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular or mind blowing either.

I was so excited to try a waffle spot that has GF/V option. I believe they used corn meal in their GF option because it is a corn bread texture, very crumbly. Presentation was nice and they offer half or full order. Unfortunately, did not like the texture. (Not the kind i have tried in other spots that are airy/fluffy inside, little crisp on the outside.) I also tried their house made maple sausage and it was just ok. My Hubby did enjoy his regular pancake

A friend and I visited The Waffle for the first time a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it! Our server was helpful and gave us great recommendations. I had a buffalo chicken and potato bowl (can't remember the exact name), and it was delicious. My friend's traditional breakfast was also really good. We tried the mimosa flight too! Fun idea, but I'd recommend getting orange juice in all of them since the flavored options didn't have much taste. Overall, great food and service!

The Waffle is a great location for quality brunch in Hollywood! You know how sometimes the closer you live to something, the longer it takes for you to actually end up visiting it?! This is one of those spots that I always see when walking or driving in Hollywood, and yet despite living nearby, hadn't actually gone until recently. What I found was that I have definitely been missing out!! Visiting for brunch on a Sunday afternoon, there was a bit of a wait, but still got some patio seating in nearly no time at all. I personally really enjoy the vibes here and being able to street watch/people watch from its expansive patio space, amply covered with umbrellas for shading. Service was very quick and friendly, with the mimosa flights we ordered being brought out so fast! The food itself is generously portioned and very delicious! I did a breakfast plate and upgraded the biscuit to one that's basically biscuits & gravy, which was SOOO good! The rest of the plate was very solid breakfast items. My partner loves the waffle sandwiches here and gets them for lunch sometimes - and this visit was nothing different when it came to him thoroughly enjoying it! We left in a great mood from the various mimosa flavors in the flights, the hearty plates of food that left us full AND with plenty of leftovers to finish off later that day! If you're hanging out in Hollywood and wondering where to have brunch or lunch, this is definitely the spot!

I found this place online bc my husband was craving waffles during our trip. We parked on the street nearby the building. We sat outside since the weather was nice and they had umbrellas on the table. Indoor seating was packed anyways but the place was clean. We both got the waffle flights. We enjoyed the tres leches, chococolate, chocolate chip and red velvet. The size was cute, and we liked that we were able to try a variety. The waffles were soft but also had crisp edges, and were very filling. I also got the lemon blueberry but wasn't a huge fan of it. Portions were decent for the price. For drinks we both got the mocha and it was good, nothing crazy or extraordinary. Not sure if they were short staffed, but service was a bit slow. The menu has a good variety.

Classic Malted Belgian Waffle. Slightly sweet and subtly nutty with crisp edges and a soft interior. Goes great with syrup and butter.

Stopped by for breakfast and was seated right away (no line) on a Friday morning. However, not much time went by before noticing this place was quickly filling up... THE FOOD. - Cowboy Chili Scramble. Flavorful and mildly spiced chili went well with the scrambled eggs. The country potatoes were great with chopped bell peppers and onions for added texture. I enjoyed this breakfast meal a lot. - Three Egg Breakfast. There are several options to choose from, but we went with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties, and house sausage gravy biscuit. The biscuit was completely stale, so our waitress got another one. Loved the sausage gravy's rich flavor and creamy texture! - Classic Malted Belgian Waffle. Slightly sweet and subtly nutty with crisp edges and a soft interior. Goes great with syrup and butter. THE DRINKS. - Latte. Substituted with oat milk. Rich, frothy goodness! - Coffee. Medium blend. Good. THE VIBE. Cozy in an office building, this restaurant sits on the ground floor with an outdoor dining patio. There are half booths that wrap around the restaurant's perimeter and even larger booths can seat at least 4 people, if not more. Floor to ceiling windows frame in views of the surrounding office buildings. THE PARKING. Street parking available. THE RETURN. Yep, I'd return to try out other breakfast dishes.

This place is just AMAZING -- "diner" food that is next level. Our group had an orange creamsicle milkshake, red velvet waffles, French toast, a chicken & waffle sandwich, and a tuna melt (with waffle fries) and everything was perfect... including the service. Looking at you, Trevor and Megan! It's why this is one our favs.

I ordered the chicken and waffle, it did not disappoint. The waffle was perfectly crispy and so was the chicken. The chicken was also super juicy. I wish the hash brown was more cooked, but I should have asked for it. A cute vibe and our food came really fast. Our server was on it with the coffee and even offered a to go cup. Loved this spot!

Some stand outs from the appetizers: the biscuits, served warm, so soft and buttery with the perfect spreads. The albacore spread. Their salads are actually great (this is coming from me, usually a salad hater.) The potato appetizers. Now from the entrees: I was pretty shocked by the eggs benedict popover and the bacon steak. Namely because these are generally pretty straightforward brunch dishes, but they were just so much better here than other places I've had them. I don't know what the secret is for the benedict popover - is it something they put in the benedict sauce? The way the ingredients come together? Whatever it is, it's perfect. For the bacon steak - it cut like butter, and wasn't too salty, sweet, or chewy / thick. So good! California offered an immediate rush of light, space, and possibility. My memory is that when I turned my phone back on at LAX, my friend messaged to say he'd gotten us the hookup at Bestia. That dinner belongs to a chapter in which I spent considerable time in California and felt energized by the contrast with New York. My friend is highly discerning, with impeccable taste in food, design, and culture. He notices details most people miss, so when a place impresses him, I pay attention. From the moment I saw his message, I knew the reservation meant something. Even before we entered, Bestia's character was evident. Faded lettering crossed the corrugated metal facade, while brick walls and old loading doors preserved the warehouse's industrial history. Inside, enormous windows and garage doors brought light into a room shaped by glass, exposed ductwork, and warm amber pendants. When I fantasize about living in a loft, many of the attributes I picture are here, especially the incredible windows and connection to the street. Inside the restaurant, the dining room achieved a combination I rarely encounter. It had the table density and collective buzz of a great New York restaurant, but within a large, design-forward space closer in scale to something found in Chicago. New York creates energy through tight rooms, while Chicago excels at ambitious spaces with strong architectural identities. Bestia captured both advantages and made its considerable footprint feel alive and unified. We sat shoulder to shoulder at a pale stone counter facing the open kitchen. Golden era hip hop was playing, and A Tribe Called Quest still rings a very specific bell. I ordered the squid ink pasta, and it was exquisite, with enough depth and precision to command attention amid everything happening around us. We also spotted an unmistakably A-list celebrity, whom I will leave unnamed, making the night feel quintessentially Los Angeles. During that period, I often stayed at the Ace Hotel downtown, and the Arts District felt vibrant, raw, and full of possibility. The proximity to Skid Row could be deeply jarring, with severe hardship existing beside ambitious development and expensive restaurants. That contrast kept the neighborhood from feeling like a neat story of urban renewal, even as Bestia seemed to anchor its evolution. The warehouses and loading docks gave the area a character that no new development could convincingly recreate. Nearby, I also remember the American Apparel complex during its demise and the rise of impossibly cool Los Angeles designer John Elliott. His Escobar sweatpants and Villain hoodie helped define the kit of that moment; loyalists will understand. Los Angeles is a fickle city, drawn toward whatever is new and shiny, which makes Bestia's longevity especially impressive. Scene without substance is plastic, and Bestia earned its electricity through exceptional cooking, assured service, and a remarkable space; if I lived in Los Angeles, this would be one of the places I'd rely on whenever I wanted to impress someone. This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.

Wow! what a meal!…read more What I ordered - Appetizer: Hokkaido Scallop. This was very tasty and fresh! My fiancé and I both agreed we would've enjoyed this much more if it was served chilled but it's still 8/10 for us. - Small Plates: Regier Farms Yellow Peaches and Wood Roasted St Simon Oysters. The yellow peaches salad was great. The peaches were sweet with the farmers cheese that's similar to feta cheese. Loved the basil that complimented the two flavors. The Oysters were absolutely a 10/10, probably 12/10 for us. These were delish! I will have to order these again if they still have it on the menu. It was a delight to know that this is often not on the menu so we were so happy to try it! - Main: Mushroom crusted pork chop. pork chop was cooked beautifully and it was so juicy! the crust is on the saltier side which tasted well with the charred lemon. - Dessert: Stone fruit and blackberry cobbler. It comes with a scoop of their ice cream. The crust on this dessert is so yummy. it was the favorite thing about the dish. Little things to note - Parking: I think they have valet but we found street parking. You should come 15-20 mins early to look for street parking as it can fill up quick. - Dunsmoor bar is right behind/on the side of the restaurant. I must come back to try the steak there. They also offer some of the apps they have at the restaurant. - the music choice Price point $$$ - $30-60 $$$$ - Over $60 Final Score: 5 out of 5 stars. it is on the pricier side but I would definitely return.

I was finally able to snag a reservation for this place and it made the excitement even greater…read more Being all of over social media as one of the hottest spots and booked a month out, made my expectations very high. That being said.. there were some pros and cons. First off, parking is tricky. The location isn't in the best spot for a lot of street parking. My husband and I, luckily arrived earlier than our reservation time and circled a few times. We got lucky with a spot but we had to walk a couple blocks. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or girls night. Super cozy and cute inside. There was a lot of staff and each person has a different role it seems. A lot of servers are on hand and different people come out with the food and take away your plates after each course. So it was a lot of people coming and going. Some of the staff was great and super friendly but others were a bit standoffish so you couldn't tell their mood. Our main server was great though! Now for the food... The cornbread was divine and just met all of our expectations. The pork and green chili stew was amazing! The tortillas were so chewy and yet a little crispy. The stew was spicy but cheesy with tender pork. It was delicious. The mushroom crusted pork chop was super tender and it was unique. I have never had pork chop like it and it was great. It was oily and definitely regretted not getting a fresh veggie side. We got the mashed potatoes and the green beans. The mashed potatoes were creamy and buttery. It was great. The green beans were salty and wasn't my favorite. THE ALL-STAR! STICKY BREAD PUDDING! I can't even describe it... just make sure to order it. You will not regret it. We went on a pretty hot day over the weekend and it was warm inside. With the open fire in the dining area I suppose it makes it difficult for the restaurant to be cool.
