Looking for a pet friendly place to enjoy a breakfast you might not be able to make at home? Come early or line up for Lola's delicious breakfast! start with the churros so you don't have to "save room" for them! Everything is fresh and made to order! Be mindful of parking, the meter patrol can be on it.

We have now visited Lola Cafe multiple times and tried a number of items on the menu. All of them are very good so it depends on your palate. The staff is friendly. It is a quaint little space. if you're coming for brunch, you may encounter a wait.

The food is excellent, the service is quick and relatively friendly, and the ambiance was lively when I was there (in a Saturday morning). I know they're known for the Oaxacan meals, but I had to try that benny. And I'm glad I did. The hollandaise sauce was smooth and creamy, the ham was hammy, and the pickles atop provided a nice crunch and balance to the meal. The potatoes were deep fried to golden brown perfection. I also had an espresso that was tasty. Parking is tough, prices add up quickly, near 9 AM puts on the waitlist, but it's totally a great meal!

Food was tasty, I think we spent around $50 altogether. Drink was really good and well brewed. My plate was good but the scramble was a little too mosh posh for me. I'd come back to try another dish tho. They had some great tunes playing. Nice indoor/outdoor seating. Handful of people there on a weekday. Food was quick to come out.

Ate here twice in the last two months and it's a very charming if not busy place but luckily, we were seated quickly both times. You see a host to get a seat and then you place an order inside at the cash register, receive a number and sit back down. Something about sitting outside in a good, people-watching neighborhood, enjoying beautiful food and weather is so relaxing. Great breakfast/lunch options. I splurged on their French Toast and boy, was it a yum treat! I liked it because while it looks amazing, it wasn't terribly sweet and thus, very enjoyable. With an interesting menu, a variety of great coffees and drink options and nice service, its a great place to brunch, I will definitely be back.

Lola is a cozy, beautiful spot nestled along Colorado Boulevard in Eagle Rock. We decided to check it out and ordered the chilaquiles with green salsa and chicken, tacos de barbacoa, a virgin Moscow mule, and a jamaica lemonade. Let me start with the chilaquiles, since that's what I ordered. The green salsa was absolutely delicious, and the chicken was cooked to perfection--tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this dish. The tacos de barbacoa were good but could have been better with some more flavored, and the drinks were refreshing and well balanced. Our server was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The restaurant itself is small but mighty, with a few tables both inside and outside, giving it a warm and intimate vibe. Parking is street-only. The day we went happened to be street cleaning day, so it took us a few extra minutes to find a nearby spot. Aside from that minor inconvenience, everything else was great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I definitely recommend checking Lola out if you're in the Eagle Rock area.

The food and drinks were excellent. My daughter said her waffle was absolutely delightful, crispy and buttery and I enjoyed the tacos Dorados. I had a Jamaica and she had watermelon agua fresca, both very tasty. The staff at the restaurant were very kind and efficient and helpful in what felt like a very challenging and busy environment My challenge with this place had to do with how incredibly noisy it is inside on a busy Sunday just before noon, and the fact that the inside dining area smells strongly of gas from the kitchen that is right there. Also, we had to park five minutes walk away because there wasn't any parking nearby.

Lola on Colorado = My Go-To Brunch Vibe Lola is that little café you almost don't want to tell people about because it's that good. It's not huge, but it's super cute, chill, and perfect for a sunny sit-outside kind of day (which is basically every day in Eagle Rock). The food? Think homemade comfort but with a little upscale twist. It's Mexican at the core, but they do it in this fresh, slightly ritzy way that still feels down-to-earth. The chilaquiles are hands-down my favorite green or red, you really can't go wrong (and the portions are big enough to share... though I usually don't ). And don't even get me started on the affogato chef's kiss. The staff is always friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the prices are more than fair for what you get. Honestly, it's one of those spots that just hits every time whether it's a Saturday morning brunch run or a random weekday treat. Lola on Colorado = cozy, flavorful, and always worth the stop.

Stopped by at around 10 for brunch and the wait was not too long. They have indoor and outdoor seatings available. We ordered variety of things to try and the food was solid, although some of the roasted potatoes were pretty burnt. The barbacoa benedicto was pretty good but the portion size seems a little small for the price of $19.50. The veggie omelette was good with a nice mix of mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes, cheese and soy chorizo. Churro waffle was a bit underwhelming. The waffle tasted like it was made with cake batter, it was a bit airy and powdery? Not a typical waffle texture. For $15 you only get 4 small pieces with some berries and whip cream. Not something I would order again. Parking: street parking or public parking at the lot behind the restaurant for 50 cents an hour.

An amazing small Mexican-Breakfast fusion with a great amount of tasty options perfect for any occasion! If you're feeling sweet or savory, this place has it. It's a small cafe with indoor and outside seating, we came on a Saturday afternoon (12:00pm) and we got seated in about 20-30 mins. You order at the front cashier and they bring you your food! The place had extremely quick service as well. We ordered a Horchata Waffle breakfast and Taquitos Dorados with Mole Negro. We added on the eggs (overeasy) and breakfast potatoes on top of the breakfast waffles, but the eggs were a bit too runny for my preference but the potatoes were perfectly crisp! The waffle had an abundance of horchata cream and other liquid toppings that might have made it softer than preferred. The mole negro was uniquely served and the mole was more on the sweeter side. Easily a go-to breakfast spot if you're looking for more unique flavors from the typical breakfast menu. Wide variety and interesting combos!

I've been coming to Lola Cafe for a while now. It's a cozy breakfast spot right in my neighborhood and I love it. Their lattes are always on point, and I live for their Lola toast (basically avocado toast heaven). Portions are generous, super shareable, and totally worth the price. The place gives off cozy brunchy vibes, and the staff is generally warm and friendly. That said, I'm bumping my rating down to a 3 - not because the food or service dropped, but just on principle (I believe in menu integrity!!!) The menu says "Add Eggs & Roasted Potatoes" for $4 (see photos of menu attached), but I was charged $5. When I asked about it, the lady told me the $4 is just for eggs, and adding potatoes makes it $5. Girl... the menu clearly says "Eggs AND Roasted Potatoes" and not "Surprise! Choose your fighter." I get it - it's just a dollar - but it doesn't feel right when the written menu says one thing and you get charged another. A small thing, but it rubs me the wrong way. Still love this spot, but PSA: ask questions if you're ordering a la carte and don't want mystery charges. And don't forget that parking is street only so plan accordingly unless you enjoy the sport of parallel parking under pressure.

Chicken enchiladas, chilaquiles & breakfast burrito. Delicious!!! Every thing has wonderful flavor

delicious !! Everything was so tasty and flavorful. The staff were super friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend if you're looking for good coffee and tasty food. I like that they have a variety of foods like salads, breakfast sandwiches. We got a oaxquena latte and cafe de olla latte so good! Along with the chilaquiles, enchiladas and breakfast burrito . Everything was delicious

Food was very delicious. I had the horchata pancakes and barbacoa eggs Benedict. Dulce de leche latte was amazing. Seating indoors was a bit crowded but manageable. Employees were nice. Once seated you do have to go up to the register to order your food your order is not taken at the table.

In a not very obvious area of DTLA, next to Urth Cafe but no other restaurants. We didn't have reservations so we had the option of sitting at the bar or following the waitress to a back room area instead of the front room that is visible to everyone. My son is a minor, so to the back we went! Seriously, the closer we got to the back room the more I felt I had been cast in "The Chef." Scary! Lol! The back room is black. Blackout black! Black tablecloths, walls, chairs, dark, low light. Very luxurious and open space. Which - because it wasn't full at the time - felt a bit like being in the film, The Menu." A bit too upscale and empty to feel comfortable. More guests arrived later, a large table, so that was more comforting. The food: Recommended *Kara Kara Tamales: braised oxtail with a peanut butter sauce. Wow! The taste was wonderful! Hard to explain but Filipino/African food meets Latin food. It was on the "shared plate" menu, which to me means it will be a lot. But the 2 tamales were not very big. Still, they were so rich that the 2 really were sufficient to share. Quite filling. I couldn't get enough of the sauce! *Crab fried rice: Very tasty and generous portion. Plenty share! Not recommended: The street eats menu. Now, this is what pulled us in - the sights and smells of the food being grilled outside the restaurant. Most of which was on this meme. Like a tasting menu. But for price to portion ratio, it simply isn't worth it. I ordered the skirt steak. 4 oz, cut in half. Cooked down to what looked like .5 oz! Each on a toothpick sitting in a paper plate (or maybe it was cupcake holder?) IDK. I just know it wasn't a good presentation and the taste wasn't memorable. Regular. More grill smell than taste. Not at all worth $8. Service: Really nice. And mostly good. Though they did fail short by (1) Using only small appetizer size plates and (2) Not bringing a fresh plate to eat the crab fried rice on after the peanut butter sauce laced tamale appetizer was eaten. The server brought the fried rice, but didn't bother to give us fresh plates (nor silverware). My son was mortified when I grabbed a plate from one of the empty tables! (Teenager energy on full effect). But after initial attentive service, the variety of different servers whizzing by didn't stop to ask if we needed anything. And I sat waiting at least 8 minutes staring at the rice. I assured my young man that the servers would be fine with me getting another plate to save them from having to. And once I did, he suddenly started eating from my plate of my peanut butter free fried rice. And of course, when a server did attend to us and I let her know, she was glad I took matters into my own hands instead of not eating for 15 minutes. Thoughts: Go for dinner, and order from the full dinner menu, skip the skimpy street eats menu. With reservations you can sit in the main restaurant area that has some view to the outdoors. Without it - back to the black room you go! Know that it will be expensive. And it will be original. Not sure I'll go back. It's very "special occasion" upscale dining. But If I do it'll be with reservations. The meal was memorable and worth experiencing.

My wife and I stopped here a few weekends back for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised with just how much I enjoyed the food. The ambiance here is pretty generic, white and bright and very copy and paste of a lot of places popping up recently. The staff was super friendly while taking our orders and dropping the food off, which is always appreciated. I ended up ordering the Santo's Turkey Melt which is smoked turkey, grilled onions, Swiss cheese, and chipotle aioli served on sourdough with a side of french fries. The sandwich was really good and the same can be said for the french fries and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of fries given, so thumbs up to that. I forgot what the food costs so I visited the website and for some reason they don't think it's important to put that online, which is pretty darn stupid if you ask me. Overall, I didn't have a bad experience at Sandcouch Cafe and I would visit again in the future thanks to it's convenient location. The food was solid and the staff was friendly, and that's really all I need when ordering a sandwich.

It's conveniently located to the LA Convention Center, Crytpo.com arena, and LA Live which makes it a must visit before or after an event! I am obsessed with their happy hour, which offers healthy items at discounted prices with generous portions! I have been here so many times throughout the years but most recently found myself here during a busy World Cup match! Regardless, the service and quality of food was not sacrificed! I was greeted as soon as I got there and the bartenders were overwhelmed but still friendly and helpful. I was so tempted to get a margarita, since theirs are amazing, but decided to keep it dry and just get their vegan nachos. I was able to score a table outside on their lovely patio, which felt secluded enough from the main street. My food was brought out quicker than I thought and I was delighted, as I was famished! The vegan nachos here are fantastic and the happy price is only $10, which is a steal for what you get! They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. I cannot wait to return again soon the next time I'm in Downtown LA! I am hoping to try more of their vegan options and next time I will for sure get a drink to go along with their delicious food!

I ordered the Espresso Martini, and it tasted pretty watered down and lacked the bold coffee flavor I was hoping for. On the bright side, the food was definitely the highlight. The mussels were flavorful, the calamari was crispy and cooked well, and the fries were delicious. Those dishes really saved the experience . Overall, I'd come back for the food, but I'd probably steer clear from cocktails and order a real drink. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and I really loved the overall feel of the restaurant. The food was delicious, with a few hits and misses for my personal taste. The honey butter cornbread was absolutely delicious, and the quinoa with snap peas was another favorite--so fresh and flavorful! The baguette for the barbacoa sandwich was a little too hard for my liking, and the chicken was slightly dry for my taste, but the flavors were still really good overall. Definitely a great place to experience if you're in the Arts District and looking for something a little more elevated with that rustic, farm-to-table feel. I'd come back to try some of the other dishes!. Service was good as the food came out pretty quick.
