Was driving on 210 to Vegas and craved a burrito. Had this save on my Yelp cause burritos looked good, so stopped here. Did a DoorDash pick up order. Perfect timing. It was ready when we pulled up. You scan your DoorDash app and the a locker door opens up with your order in it. Ordered the bacon burrito. Yes it's on the smaller size. We came to Wake and Late hoping for a breakfast burrito and a bagel because they looked so tasty in the photo but I guess we're late to the game because they no longer serve bagels. They do burritos, coffee and matcha. The burritos are made with their house-made flour tortillas and while they were on the small side they actually did fill me up, and I typically eat a lot. The fillings are simple: eggs, avocado, tater tots, cheddar, your choice of sauce on the side, and your choice of bacon, steak or pinto beans for an additional charge. I went with the steak and found it to be really tender with lots of flavor. I appreciated the good ratio of ingredients in the burrito and the fact that there wasn't a big mass of dry eggs. read more

As we walked in at 11:30 AM, the cashier was ready for us but we weren't ready. Shop have a lot of seating area. The food was actually super delicious. I loved it spicy and the juarez was full of birria meat!!!! This portion was still a bit small for my stomach though and it costed $12. The matcha latte was actually super delicious surprisingly. Came here on Friday with my partner. She has been dying to try this place. So we finally came here. The space is HUGE and the sound echos. The music was loud in the background and it was hard to hear our name when the food was ready. We had the corridor coffee and their burrito. Good on all fronts. Like others have said, the burrito is on the smaller side but I thought it was the perfect size for portion control. For the size and price, I thought it was a good price. I did not expect to eat the tiniest breakfast burritos of my life, especially for $12 with no meat and $17 with steak. They are about the same size as those frozen bean and cheese burritos you get from the market. The steak burrito had about 2oz of beef in it. The worst part is the steak burrito came with rotten avocado in it. We ordered and ate at the restaurant so there was no time for something fresh to turn rotten. We lost our appetites after biting into this burrito. I showed the woman at the register and she offered to make us a new one, but I opted for a refund, which she gave for the bad burrito. Ok i finally wanted to try so hopped on the metro to come out to pasadena. You can take the metro A line to memorial station and walk about 3-4 blocks here. I knew what i wanted so i jumped on the breakfast burrito $12 bucks with added steak $5 and bacon $4 bucks. Expensive yes, cost me $24 dollars for this which is way over priced. The burrito was very good though. It had a nice crunch with the tater tots with every bite but with little steak and bacon to justify the $9 add ons. Get the cilantro crema (best sauce) and the chipotle aioli to go with it. It's a huge place and i picked this over the LA location one because you can actually sit down and enjoy it here. The LA one i passed by has no real seating, only to go orders. They have free self serve water station which is a bonus at pasadena location because i wasn't trying to pay $7-$9 bucks for a small cup of orange juice to push the price over $30 bucks for it. Customer service was good and i was greeted right when i walked in. Overall, easily in my top 3 breakfast burritos i ever had but this will be a once in a while visit. I went to Wake & Late only once for the food but twice for drinks cause I was thirsty from standing in the sun waiting for Matu's cheesesteak and W&L was on the way back to my car. The space is really interesting, it's huge and industrial with two big counters at the front, one for ordering and one for pickup. Even with my second visit I wasn't positive where to order because they don't have countertop POS machines. Their burritos taste good and I enjoyed both the bacon and the steak, especially with the hot sauce and cilantro crema but WOW. All the reviews warned they were small for $18/$19 and I was still wholly surprised by HOW small the burritos are. They're actually ~6 inches. I liked the bagels but definitely wouldn't come here for a bagel fix--they're different than traditional bagels, more like homemade or Pop Up Bagels in NY if that makes sense. Lastly, their drinks taste pretty good but the price is insane. $10 for a 10/12oz dirty matcha. $7.50 for the matcha alone. There's free (for now) 1-2 hour parking on Colorado and the side streets, but the city installed parking machines and most street parking will become paid soon. read more

Let me say that the flavor of this burrito is 5 stars. Its just extremely f*cking tiny for price. $19.50 for a burrito that size is crazy, no matter how good it tastes. I even had beans added, but it seemed like there was many 5 beans in it. My daughter wanted a OGBB (OG Breakfast Burrito) so we went there as well. I included a Pic to show the size difference. My fiancé got me on the sauces, I normally only get the crema but he introduced me to using both the crema and chipotle aoli. Using both is so much better. Got the breakfast burrito with asada. First and foremost, absolutely pricey burrito. Almost ridiculous for the size (also 5$ for asada...) However, my gosh, it is delicious.... The tatertots they add are so crispy and fluffy it adds an amazing texture to the burrito. Amazing ambience in this café. The building was formerly some sort of bank, so there are very high ceilings, lots of indoor seating and an overall beautiful atmosphere. We got there when they just opened to order some breakfast burritos. We got two vegetarian burritos and one with bacon. They were definitely pricey but even though they look small, they are filling. There was no wait because they had just opened and we were literally the first 3 orders placed. It did take a little bit to get our food though. The burritos themselves were DELICIOUS, very well balanced with amazing sauce. Highly recommend the cilantro crema, we got the chipotle aioli as well but liked the crema better. Nothing was too overpowering or stuffed in this burrito, where sometimes there's too much egg or potato or tortilla. The decor was very cute and the service was great. So after I got over my disappointment over no bagels during the week, lol, I finally made it back to Wake And Late to try one of their burritos. Ordered the Vegetarian Burrito, which was very tasty. Fairly spicy with the pickled jalapeños. And I loved both of the sauces I chose: Cilantro Crema and Chipotle Aioli. Might be nice to have a less spicy option, like a cooling Raita. Yes, they are rather expensive, particularly for such a small burrito. I actually love the size, but maybe not as much the price. However, you do have to factor in that they don't take tips, so that's 3 to 5 dollars depending on your order that you saved right there. And personally I would rather servers have more livable wages and we decide at the point of purchase whether we want to buy the item or not rather than dealing with the whole tipping system. I tried one of their lattes with oat milk and it was really good! I was also really impressed with the friendliness of the young woman ("AM D") who waited on me. Very sweet and helpful! The staff member who took my order was absolutely lovely, I wish I got her name to give her a shoutout! The espresso is definitely a dark roast, which I LOVE! The latte was strong on the espresso flavor and not diluted at all with the milk. I love that! The space is humongous and has such a stunning interior. With other locations, I chose the Pasadena location since it was the quickest to get to and I know I wouldn't have to deal with the DTLA traffic. I knew going in that it was going to be expensive. Let's be real...tortilla, eggs, potatoes and meat don't always = $18 burrito. Unfortunately this is the case, well, both cases as we got two burritos - Bacon and Steak. The service was fine as they were training a new cashier. We also ordered the matcha, but forgot to take a picture of it. Anyways, it wasn't that good and tasted like pineapple was added... Onto the burritos...for the price I was expecting something spectacular, but that wasn't the case. In all fairness, it was a good breakfast burrito but not $18 and $19. The bacon burrito had bacon bits, literally bacon bits. The potatoes were just chopped up, double-fried hash brown patties. Usually the sauce will make up for some of the losses, but it was just a hot sauce with a small kick. The steak burrito was similar with small pieces of beef, nothing special or flavorful. Lastly, the size of the burrito was not what I expected, especially for the price. If you were to ask me, the size of the burrito should be about $9.75 My suggestion is to lower the price by saving on some of the heavy, paper packaging we got for the two burritos and we dined inside. With such a large inside space, no wonder the burritos were so much. I thought I was at LAX. But hey, try it yourself and make your own assessment. One of my fav breakfast burritos This location specifically, the Pasadena one, is located inside what looks like an old bank- super aesthetic! We got one sweet onion bagel and one parm bagel, along with two of their whipped spreads- scallion and honeycomb butter. I was OBSESSED. The bagels were like huge balls and so fluffy inside. The thing that also completes this is the sauce - I got the Chipotle & Cilantro Crema. Both are amazing and fresh.
