    Breakfast Burrito
    Lyane P.

I came on a Saturday morning and found parking easily right in front of the the restaurant. I am a creature of habit and ordered the Breakfast Burrito without the turkey sausage and got extra bacon instead. It is so delicious with the eggs, onions, beans, cheese and potatoes. I love that the tater tots stay crunchy. It comes with tortilla chips and salsa. So yummy! Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant is bright and airy and we were fortunate to get a table by the window.

Fantastic coffee and breakfast! Vibes here are really cute. There's an outdoor area with ample seating that's great for a nice warm summer morning. Indoor is cute too. Food was delicious, portions were generous and prices were, too. Coffee was 10/10 (they use Jones Coffee Roasters). Definitely a great place to check out.

Ambience and service was great; had the ham cheese omelette with fingerling potatoes (different but tasty) and a cappuccino. My first visit and will come again to try their breakfast burrito.

Got the breakfast burrito and it's super filling. Very LA breakfast bunch vibes. The crew was casual but efficient.

Fun decor and seating choices. Small space but great for a breakfast date. 10+ large parties may have a hard time here. They offer quick to go options as well. Service was quick for how busy they were when we visited!

Lost Parrot Cafe was good and I'd definitely come back to try other items and drinks. My husband and I tried their chilaquiles and breakfast burrito. Both were good, but definitely nothing super great or delicious (which is okay, not a bad thing). We've just had better so it may be worth us trying out different items from the cafe instead. We didn't get any drinks but some of their coffee menu did really interest us, so we will have to come back to try. We came on a Sunday morning where it was busy but not too much. We found seats immediately after ordering and it seems to move pretty quickly. The service was also great!

My wife found this brunch spot and we decided to take a gander at the restaurant over the weekend and we weren't disappointed. Unfortunately, we visited on a day where they were holding a private event. Thus, dining in wasn't an option so we ordered to go as they were going to close earlier on that day. My wife and I ordered the Avocado Toast & the Tater Tots to share. Food took about 5-10 minutes to come out and was delivered via the back bar area. Service is pretty fast & were pretty friendly, semi-professional vibe as well which is a plus. Avocado Toast Very different from the avocado toasts I've had in the past. Very easy to cut, portions are big, and it comes with a half egg. I could tell that the toast was freshly made and it provides a "healthier" side of the dish. Love everything about the dish and will always be a recommendation for anyone who wants to visit this cafe. Tater Tots This dish surprised me in a good way. Portions are once again, massive. Each tater tot is bite size which is nice, very crunchy & savory. Best part of it is that it's not too salty and compliments well with a drink. Sauce that was provided with the tater tots is highly recommended to use. I absolutely love the interior, very tropical forest type style, outdoor and indoor seating, and definitely the next time I visit again, I would like to dine inside the restaurant to taste their amazing quality of food in a more non rushed way. Perfect brunch spot for dates.

Lost Parrot Cafe is becoming a favorite for our breakfast/coffee dates. The food is great, service is super friendly, and I love being surrounded by the lush, green plants. Don't tell my husband, but sometimes I'm daydreaming about owning the plants for sale instead of listening to him talk haha. Shhh! Food today: - Breakfast burrito (a yummy classic. we split it today. served with perfectly salted chips and salsa. love the microgreens. - Side of bacon (would have preferred it not so crunchy but still good) - Cheese danish (have them warm it up..so much yummier than it already was as is) - Vanilla latte with almond milk (strong espresso, a go to of mine) Can't wait to go back. Will definitely be bringing home a healthy, fluffy hanging pothos.

Nice cafe to enjoy breakfast, lunch or drinks. Came for breakfast and got an assortment of foods. Everything was good, nothing overly flavorful or plain. Good service!

Had a wonderful brunch at Lost Parrot Cafe in South Pas today. Tried the green chilaquiles for the first time and they were even better than the red ones. Paired that with a perfect Bloody Mary hold the bacon and then grabbed an iced latte with almond milk before I left and I'm so glad I did because it was delicious. The service was great as usual. I think I showed up at just the right time as there wasn't a line. Enjoyed the beautiful plants and cool vibes.

Chicken Tinga and Carne Asasa tacos

Our first Taco Tuesday at Lost Parrot Cafe and it was a pretty solid choice! The vibe and ambiance is so warm with the greenery, warm lighting and friendly service. The cafe is typically open until 4 pm but on Tuesdays they have tacos from 4pm - 8 pm. The place was busy but not crowded and the dips and chips were decent sized portions! They recommended the Chicken Tinga tacos which were so flavorful, and we also ordered carne asada tacos. What makes this really great are the handmade tortillas and the condiment bar which allows you to customize your tacos to your liking. They had picked onions, carrots & radishes, diced white onion, cilantro, salsa verde, salsa rojo, lime, etc. Will definitely be back!

This was my third time at Lost Parrot Café, and I'm so glad I came back again! I tried the chilaquiles rojos with carne asada and they were absolutely delicious. I finished every bite! I also had a matcha latte with no sugar, and it was perfect smooth, earthy, and refreshing. My friend had the burrito bowl and a latte, and she loved her meal too. The service was great friendly and welcoming and the ambiance is beautiful. I'm a nature lover, so seeing all the green plants around the café made me so happy. It feels cozy, fresh, and relaxing like a little indoor garden in the city. Highly recommend if you're in South Pasadena!

The smoked salmon was perfect, the egg was super runny just how I like it, and the potatoes were the perfect portion--crispy and flavorful. The salad on the side was also really refreshing and balanced everything out well. We also tried the smoked salmon omelette, and I would say this one was a bit underwhelming. It wasn't bad, but I expected more flavor. It ended up being my least favorite dish out of everything we ordered. For dessert, we got the toffee banana crepe with ube ice cream and wow... this was definitely the highlight. So good and we finished the whole thing. I would honestly come back just for this. Expect to pay $20+ for most of the dishes Ordered the Avocado Benedict ($20.95) and it consisted of 2 egg muffins, topped with a poached egg, avocado, and ham, as well as a garden salad and country fried potatoes. One of the eggs arrived destroyed so it was already runny and the other one was a little overcooked so it wasn't perfectly poached as I was expecting but it wasn't too big of a deal. The ham was a little dry and salty but the avocado was very delicious and fresh. The egg muffin was quite cold and dry so it wasn't too enjoyable. The garden salad was pretty basic and just had some greens, corn, and tomatoes so nothing too special. The potatoes arrived cold, dry and slightly crunchy. It was extremely salty so it was hard to enjoy Overall, I thought the food was a little pricey and underwhelming unfortunately.

The delivery took about 50 minutes to get to me after ordering and I was a bit nervous about how soggy both would be, especially the chilaquiles since I like when the chips are mostly hard still. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful that the salsa for the chilaquiles came on the side and though the waffle wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, it was thick and fluffy and tasted great with the toppings. The salsa for the chilaquiles had a kick to them that I enjoyed and it went great with the cheese, red onions, and sunny side egg that came with it. We had a premiere party at Castle Green in December where your only choice for catering by contract with the building is Little Lily's Kitchen. Kari and Booke were very nice, but their prices were insane for what we needed. In any case, we moved forward with an 8K invoice for a "finger-food" order for 250. When we found only 70 had RSVPd, we obviously had to honor our non-refundable contract for the 8K, which we did in good faith and ahead of schedule. But since we were at 1/3 capacity, I asked for an additional choice of finger food, which they did. The problem came in the fact that we paid for 6 servers and received 3. The food didn't begin circulating (by a very sweet wait staff) until 45 minutes after guests arrived and then it was very intermittent with many never receiving food. For 8K I expected non-stop food for our 70 guests, instead what I got (and didn't find out till later) was a lot of hungry people. On top of that, we had 16 guests report stomach issues the next morning - the commonality being goat cheese. When I addressed this to Brooke and Kari, I was not looking for a refund - after all, maybe it was a stomach virus that circulated within 24 hours, but I was dismayed by the fact that they didn't respond at all- zero, zip, nothing, not even a thank you for our business. It was the BIGGEST ripoff I've ever experienced with a caterer. For anyone having an event at Castle Green that doesn't involve a very large payout for the owners, buyer beware.

This is a burger joint with a diverse menu, including one of the biggest breakfast burritos in town. I got my burrito with bacon. The burrito comes with hashbrown style potatoes, eggs and cheese - you get a choice of ham, bacon or sausage for your meat (or have it without meat). The bacon was crispy and remained crispy when I reheated my other half. Not only is the bacon crispy, the burrito has a generous amount of it! Oh and the other plus - the tortilla does not come wet and soggy and remains in perfect condition if you have leftovers. The burrito comes with only one salsa and to be honest, you really do need two for such a big burrito. I'm a green salsa girl but I asked what I should go with and I was recommended the red one (the green one is supposedly spicier). The red salsa did not disappoint other than I needed one more for my whole burrito (there's no kick to this salsa but it's tasty). The burrito itself isn't bursting with flavor on its own and it requires the salsa to compliment the other ingredients. But, who eats a breakfast burrito without salsa? There is ample parking in their parking lot and there's seating both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to satisfy my breakfast burrito craving very soon and if this is what you're looking for - stop reading reviews and go get you one at Lucky Boy (it's served all day).

Not bad overall but for some reason I expected a better burger experience. Let's talk about the fries. Truly classic French fried potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Light golden color.
