It comes with meat of your choice, organic eggs, cheese, beans and I skip the cream. Will not feel too guilty after consuming this food. I ordered pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon for a total of $30 - pretty steep for a casual breakfast spot so I was expecting some pretty great pancakes. They were really REALLY dry and besides the blueberries, flavorless. The eggs were bland and the bacon was the only thing had a little flavor but then it's kinda hard to mess up bacon. Oddly enough the pancakes don't come with butter - you have to ask for the butter and slather it on the syrup to make the pancakes edible. If you're looking for just ambiance and cute charm, this is the place. But if you want actual good food, go elsewhere. read more

Now this was a find! During my walks, I walked next to this charming place. I'd see people enjoying themselves with the food and drinks they were partaking in. I told the husb we have to try it. I'm glad we did! Although it was lunch time, we opted for breakfast like items. The husb had the breakfast burrito, he said there was lots inside of it and it felt plentiful. The burrito had bacon, tater tots, eggs beans and cheese. He also enjoyed his tasty Bloody Mary. He highly recommends it! Very easy to cut, portions are big, and it comes with a half egg. I could tell that the toast was freshly made and it provides a "healthier" side of the dish. Love everything about the dish and will always be a recommendation for anyone who wants to visit this cafe. Tater Tots This dish surprised me in a good way. Portions are once again, massive. Each tater tot is bite size which is nice, very crunchy & savory. Best part of it is that it's not too salty and compliments well with a drink. Sauce that was provided with the tater tots is highly recommended to use. I absolutely love the interior, very tropical forest type style, outdoor and indoor seating, and definitely the next time I visit again, I would like to dine inside the restaurant to taste their amazing quality of food in a more non rushed way. I also had a matcha latte with no sugar, and it was perfect smooth, earthy, and refreshing. My friend had the burrito bowl and a latte, and she loved her meal too. They were very well done, almost shoestring style fries. I liked them, but I didn't taste any lime. There wasn't much cilantro either. The soy chorizo was good but it had more potatoes mixed in which was weird. Guac was excellent though. My friend had the farro bowl and that looked much better. Super fresh and healthy. I'll probably try that or one of the salads next time. Service was relatively quick, which was nice. Parking was a little tricky, but I found a spot on the street. Overall it was pretty good! Our first Taco Tuesday at Lost Parrot Cafe and it was a pretty solid choice! The vibe and ambiance is so warm with the greenery, warm lighting and friendly service. The cafe is typically open until 4 pm but on Tuesdays they have tacos from 4pm - 8 pm. The place was busy but not crowded and the dips and chips were decent sized portions! They recommended the Chicken Tinga tacos which were so flavorful, and we also ordered carne asada tacos. What makes this really great are the handmade tortillas and the condiment bar which allows you to customize your tacos to your liking. Love the pickled veggies that are included for the perfect *chef's kiss* bite with a little bit of everything. -Ham & Cheese Omelette, a filling dish too! Come w/ potatoes and toast. -SmashBurger, a fave for the hubby when he's craving a burger and not brunch. -Cilantro Lime Fries, I know I said I probably wouldn't order these again in my original review...but these grew on me! Especially with their garlic aioli. We'll also occasionally order a pastry they have on display (like coffee cake) or some sweets like their pancakes. Their service is generally fair. This place has been on my list for a while now and I was able to finally stop by! You order at the register before sitting down, the utensils, sauces and to go boxes are all self serve. Inside they have a good amount of tables but I can definitely see it getting busy at peak times. They have really cute decor and the vibes are very tropical and planty. In the area aspect is where I got a little disappointed. I got the avocado toast, and the bread was toasted, call me a stickler but that's the least I expect. The chimichurri that they used left a really oily residue and made it a little unpleasant to eat. I got the carne asada cilantro lime fries, however the meat just came in a giant big pile on top and wasn't cut up too well which made it hard to eat. Mango mimosa: Faint scent and taste of mango. Chilaquiles: Surprisingly, the chips tossed on salsa roja were able to retain their crunch. Very few places can cook it well and have it coated with the right amount of sauce. I would say the plate was loaded with grated cheese and two sunny-side eggs. Great dish, it does get you filled up. Breakfast burrito with chips and green sauce: The chips are fresh and crispy, however, the sauce was lacking in flavor. Breakfast burrito wrapped in scrambled omelet, sausage, mashed potatoes, and black bean. This is my favorite dish between the two because of the wrapping.
