Cup of life in each latte serving, breakfast for the soul! I enjoyed grabbing a cup of honey latte and turkey egg sandwich today at Copa Vida. Not only are their lattes beautiful, they are tasty with just the right amount of boldness. Their breakfast meals are served warm and fresh, and my sandwich was so good! One star off because my hubbie said he couldn't taste the sausage in his sausage burrito, but I personally enjoyed each bite and sip of my meal. The place is cute! Quaint little coffee shop with just enough seating. Service is friendly and quick. I would definitely be back. Brought life into my day with the perfect cup of latte!
I feel like it's rare nowadays to find a coffee shop that has actually good coffee + good seating. Copa Vida is a classic and for good reason! They have 2 units' worth of seating space so order at the counter and just find a space to sit. They'll call your name for you to pickup unless you order a food item. Americano ($4)-- Good espresso! It wasn't mine so not much to mention haha Latte ($5.5)-- Super smooth, good ratio of espresso to milk! It was just such a good classic latte. Not too milky and espresso was good not burnt/crazy acidic or anything. Mocha ($6.5)-- The mocha is real dark chocolate vs something like Hershey's syrup. You can definitely taste the difference! Good ratio of espresso and milk and I liked the dark chocolate! But if you're used to super sweet mochas then this isn't for you! Pretty reasonable prices for Pasadena no? Or am I just used to everything being expensive. But here the vibes are really nice. They have WiFi and outlets too so lots of people had a wfh set up. There's just so much seating and enough space in between where it doesn't feel cramped.
Cute place, decent coffee, good vibes. A nice amount of tables and chairs inside and outside. Seems like a great place to do some work and hangout at, it has perfect study and work vibes written over it. Very fast service! Thanks for the beautiful heart latte art. I met with a friend here on Thursday morning and enjoyed the food! Upon arrival, you order and take a seat with an assigned number. The girl taking our order was very sweet, but I must have missed the part when she said the drinks are picked up at the counter. When we received our food, we asked about the beverages - the waiter mentioned those are picked up at the counter. The barista was kind enough to remake the espresso shot for my friend since it had been sitting out for over 10+ minutes :) The food is tasty! We sat outside (perfect weather - overcast) and we shared an order of the avocado toast and the French toast plate. Good coffee, great portions with aligned price points. The inside is quite large, but it felt like something was missing... warmth/ decoration. Aside from that, Definitely recommend stopping by - I'm surprised I hadn't popped in sooner!
We ordered a vanilla latte as a pick me up. Service was friendly, but it took quite a while for our drinks to come out, 15 minutes. Not bad, but longer than expected. The shop wasn't completely crowded, but it warmed popular. The shop is spacious. Vanilla latte was pretty average, not too sweet. Espresso was smooth, nutty. Drink was slightly creamy. There is street parking and a parking garage nearby. Solid place to get a vanilla latte, but be prepared for a bit of a wait.
I was so lucky to find this place after searching relentlessly for a coffee shop with Wi-Fi in Pasadena. I went to the Starbucks on fair Oaks (only outdoor seating, no outlets), that really fun one on Raymond, and I walked around for about an hour before I found Copa Vida in downtown. They had amazing coffee, outlets, Wi-Fi, and really wonderful personalities. I loved their service and I definitely had to give them a shout out. Their patrons are just as friendly. I would come back here anytime, it's like a family with really good quality, service and food
Coffee here is alway good! And also their breakfast. I love their space. Plenty of table & chairs. Good for big groups. Good for hanging out with friends and/or working on your computer. There are 2 rooms basically. It gets pretty crowded though...especially on the weekend. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable about coffee. They have signature drinks and seasonal specials. They have milk alternative
We made our way through the Coffee Passport and unfortunately, Copa Vida was our least favorite. The service was a little off-putting and it was LOUD inside, both from people and music. It seemed like there were too many guests and not enough seats; people hovered trying to get the next table, which were really untidy (on and under). While we didn't get a ton to eat, it look a significant amount of time for it to come out. The coffee was okay, nothing to write home about.
There's both street and structure parking to get here. There can be a line but it moves fairly quick. After you order they'll call out your name. There's loads of seating here. The atmosphere is cozy and chill. The noise level was decent. It can be a nice place to study or meet up with a friend. The staff are nice and helpful. I got the seasonal hojicha latte. The latte was a bit hot at first but quickly cooled to a good drinking temperature. This latte was pretty good! It wasn't too sweet. I'd definitely return here again.
Good place for coffee break. Very cozy place to hang out while strolling here in Pasadena with family. Self serve. Seated on your own . Ordered Almond croissants which was yummy. Crunchy not too sweet. The Coffee Latte was very fresh .
Came back here and brought some friends because of the burrito I had but wow the burrito completely changed. Got the sausage again but the potatoes weren't even crispy like last time- they were plain soft. The sausage was also MINIMAL. The insane decline in quality is very very disappointing.
I really loved this place. I think it's some of the best coffee I've had. The service, while they were busy probably with normal patrons, had added people for the Noah Kahan collab but they made it work. We got three lattes and a cortado. The lattes and matcha were perfect and I thought the cortado really showed me that their espresso was delightful. Bold and rich. The inside was spacious and had a fair amount of seating. Tucked in a corner spot parking was a little hard but such is Pasadena. Park a little away and enjoy the neighborhood and go for a walk.
Good location, good wifi, good coffee. Service is great, place is nice with plenty of tables. Music a bit too empowering and taking away from the nice vibe.

Disgusting, I came here Saturday, August 22nd with my friend. We ate our food and drank our coffee then realized a dead roach and her babies were lying right underneath us. Immediately left. Absolutely disgusting and careless as I tried to email them and I get no response. read more
Wow! Food was so amazing that it left me speechless for real! I came in on Sunday during noon time with my friends, and it was already pretty busy inside. However, there is a lot of seating and tables inside! It's one of those cafes where you order at the cashier and they give you a table number to place at a table of your choice. The food came out within 7 minutes of ordering! I ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese which came with a Jalapeno Cilantro Aioli and it was DIVINE. The meat was well marinated, and the different types of cheese used added a nice savory flavor. The sauce was SO SO good and the bread was nicely toasted and buttered. My friend got the Veggie Burrito! It was light, and had just the right amount of egg and other ingredients mixed into it. It tasted fresh, and was worth the price! I didn't get a chance to try any of their drinks, but I'll definitely be back again to try it! HEADS UP: their menus change every once in a while (the menu I received yesterday was different from the menus posted on yelp), hence, be prepared to possibly try something new! Staff members were friendly, and there's parking for $2 in the garage across the street so it's very convenient! Overall, I had a wonderful experience here! Can't wait to be back! read more

Super cute. Great location, open concept, tons of seating, some outdoor seating as well. We came in for an afternoon pick me up and the dolce de Leche hot and cold drink are delicious! Service was awesome, they were so patient when we were asking them questions about their drinks and they were fast but definitely can tell that the customer service is on point. read more

The roasted avocado toast was the best l've had!! Highly recommend trying it, the toast was light and fluffy, the avocado mash was perfectly seasoned and the toppings were so uniquely tasty. Coffee and service great as usual. Chilaquiles were also spot on! Must try for breakfast! read more
Hmmmm...coffee is the highlight of my day! I wake up, wash my face and turn on my Nespresso maker and it never disappoints:) When I go out for coffee and spend anywhere between $5 - $7, I expect to have my coffee taste buds do the "happy dance." Well, not today... My Highlights of Copa Vida: #1- Seeing my girl Rosie!!! #2- the very friendly young man who helped me order my 12 oz Breve latte w/3 shots of espresso - extra hot along with a ham/swiss croissant which was a bit dry 4/5 #3- the location #4- the spaciousness inside #5- the adorable little 3 year old I spoke to and her beautiful mommy:) **Maybe the Barista was having a bad day, but when my drink was finally ready 15 mins later, he never called my name like he did with every other order. I had to inquire whether the latte sitting there in a 6 oz cup was mine. (Which it was but made incorrectly) When I nicely told him that I had ordered a 12oz Breve latte with 3 shots he seemed irritated. So, I waited another 15 mins while a different barista made my drink and again, no name was called and I had to ask again if it was mine. The latte was not extra hot and espresso portion was underwhelming. All this girl could taste was warm milk:( It's my own fault! I should have listened to my Sister Sam B who wrote in her review that her coffee was also nothing to write home about. *Metered street parking is not always available *There is a parking lot on Green Street to your left just before Raymond. Coffee and food here are both amazing! We ordered an iced vanilla latte with regular milk, croque madame, and chilaquiles with added brisket. My latte was the perfect color and sweetness level was juuust right. The croque Madame's bechamel sauce complimented the other components so well, and I was pleasantly surprised to taste caramelized onion in it! The chilaquiles were some of the best we've had, and I highly recommended adding brisket to it. The brisket was surprisingly tender and flavorful. I knew from the reviews that we weren't going to be disappointed, but Copa Vida completely exceeded our expectations! read more

I currently have an iced matcha latte obsession so it's in comparison to a lot of other matcha I've already had that week. Overall, I would come for the atmosphere. read more

Good food and better coffee! Paired a breakfast burrito with a hot lavender latte. Amazing flavors. Parking can get tricky since Pasadena is not free so look for the nearby city garage structures or metered street side parking. Staff worked diligently to prepared our food and drinks timely. read more
Paid for parking nearby and decided to come here for some coffee and a bite. Service wasnt too friendly honestly but ordered the brisket breakfast burrito, the hot lavender latte, and the iced shakarato with vanilla/agave. Everything was made quickly and we sat inside. Inside is kind of dark and gloomy somehow. Not too much decor and definitely not aesthetically pleasing. Everything seemed old and run down from the tables and chairs to the walls, bathroom was messy. The coffee here is amazing and I would come back again for the coffee. Not too sweet and you can taste the espresso. The food was okay. The burrito came out rlly oily and the sauce they paired with it wasnt that good so we used their chulula bottle. I probably would pass on the food and come here just for togo coffee. read more
Such a nice cafe that looks like they have a lot of great locals. I walked by on monday slightly before 7:30 and there seemed to be a crowd so I thought it had to be good and tried. I came here a few times since and I like their iced latte the oolong tea was a little mid but overall solid spot. read more

My latte was good but my bagel, seemed old not soft n fresh. I actually thought it was being toasted. Which it wasn't either and when you ask for spread. I mead atleast more than the bare minimum would suffice. I'm no big eater. Hence the bagel. Sad that most landed in the trash read more
Good place to grab coffee/food and get work done! I came here on a Friday afternoon and it was generally pretty easy to find a table. I ordered the Korean Chicken Wrap and a Vanilla Latte. The latte wasn't super sweet or bitter, just in the middle. The wrap was really good and the sauce on the side made it 10x better. It is a little spicy but very flavorful. Would definitely recommend this place! read more

The food here is fire. it's really filling perfect if you're hungry. the salad that i got is sooo good i forgot what it was called but it had like kale, oats, turkey, and feta i believe. that thing was so good and so was the sandwich. the service is great there was a super nice barista that put heart latte art on our cups! super sweet i think her name is Felicia, someone needs to give that girl a raise bc she has great customer service. if ur gonna come here, u def gotta try the food! great place to study, or hang out. probably better to sit outdoors if you're gonna hang out tho bc there's a lot of people trying to get work done in there, the place is pretty busy. read more
Stopped by on a Sunday for a quick coffee and post run meal. Parking is available either on the street or in a parking complex nearby. I ordered an iced honey latte and a breakfast burrito; the latte was delicious and the burrito was bigger than expected and solid. Service was quick and friendly and the overall vibe inside was chill. They have multiple seating areas and would make for a good spot to work and study if you don't mind the music (it's not super quiet). If you're around old town Pasadena and need a pick me up, I highly recommend. read more

This cafe is very close to downtown Pasadena. The parking is street parking, which is to be expected. The cafe was VERY busy at the time when we visited and there were no open seats inside so we found a small table to sit at on the street. The service though was very fast! We ordered a vanilla iced latte and a chocolate chip cookie. The iced latte was good but you couldn't really get that creamy vanilla flavor we were hoping for. The cookie was super salty. They didn't advertise it sprinkled with sea salt, so we ended up taking most of the salt off since it was way too much. Overall, this cafe was okay. Like I said definitely busy. So if you're looking for more of a chill cafe this one might not be the place to go. But definitely if you're in the area give it a try! read more

Great spot for a brunch / lunch! We got here for a brunch and got the breakfast burritos - great portion and very yummy! They have a pretty big open seating area and don't miss the back section for more seating! A lot of natural light in the morning, which is a plus! If you prefer outdoor seating, they have a couple as well, take your pick! Tip: if you order a coffee or another drink, make sure to check the front when you hear your name since they won't bring drinks over to your table but they will bring food to you. read more

We came for brunch on a busy Thursday morning. The place was quite crowded and hard to find seating for 4 since it's self seating, but we managed to put together a couple of tables in the back. We ordered coffee, pastries, and food. The coffee came out quite quickly and the almond croissant was ok. The avocado toast was delicious and the chorizo hash was well flavored although a little spicy. read more

We ordered the chorizo stuffed hash brown, sausage burrito, and a fruit tart. Every item was so delicious! Typically at coffee shops the coffee is very good and the food is decent. The coffee and food here were both worth stopping by. The service is warm and quick! They have lots of tables and chairs. And plenty of areas for charging. I knew when I stepped in that I had been here before and I had...years ago. When you walk in, you see many people settling in for the day to get their work on. We stopped in for a quick, impromptu breakfast on a weekday and this place did not disappoint. Hubs got the chorizo burrito and I got the chorizo hash: mine felt like a deconstructed, more pricey version of the burrito. Both were good and super filling. Hubs said their drip coffee was very good but their cortado was just ok. Their honey latte was not my vibe and tasted off(?); I felt like the honey they used didn't quite offset the milk and coffee. Went for the matcha and it did not disappoint. Treated a friend to coffee. For a latte and matcha I paid $15. Kinda pricey considering 99% of the cup was ice. The inside was busy and loud with people working,trying friends, or just out for lunch. The trendy shop is located in old town Pasadena....so parking is tricky. I have been a customer for years and have always liked the location and the general atmosphere. However, in recent times, the condition of the coffee shop has become frankly abominable. Every single surface is grimy and covered with dust and dirt. Even the shelves on which their merchandise is displayed have a thick layer of dust and coffee grains. All the chairs, windowsills, walls, and even equipment are dirty. (please look at the pictures I have taken on the 8th of Jan 2026 ). I am not saying that they should buy new furniture or repaint, or anything like that, but to simply clean the place is well within everyone's reach, in my opinion. I feel like keeping the place in such a condition is disrespectful to the paying customers, who come to rest and enjoy their time, and instead see dirt everywhere they look. How the managers don't see it, I can't comprehend. Or do they see it and think it is all good enough, and the customers should be okay with this? Additionally, the condition of the place raises sanitary concerns. If the main area that customers can see is in such a state, what is going on in the kitchen? Is it even safe to eat here? Maybe it will be worth my while to file an official complaint with the Environmental Health Services Division. Basically, I would recommend avoiding the place until they adopt a different attitude to sanitation to avoid potential health issues and spoiling your mood. I feel strongly about the places where customers pay money to uphold at least the bare minimum of cleanliness and respect for their customers. read more
Great little work/study spot with ample food choices and a decent selection of drinks. Parking is easy in the green st lot. Lots of seats here as well but fills up quickly. The seating area by the bar smells weird and wish I was able to swap seats but seats get taken quickly. read more
I came in here after attending the Jackalope art fair because I just wanted a quick bite to eat. This is actually the first Copa Vida I've ever been to. I really liked how spacious it was inside. There are two main seating areas, one where you first come in, and a whole other area to the left, which is a separate room with a long bar. They have a free water station there, which is nice. I got a veggie breakfast burrito, which was delicious. It really hit the spot for me. Plenty of veggies in there and it came with a little salsa. I also got a strawberry matcha latte, but it wasn't very good. It tasted too watery. You could barely taste the matcha flavor and the strawberry taste did not come through until you got to the bottom. Not sure what happened there but unfortunately, it was one of the worst matcha drinks I've ever had. I was also surprised that they didn't really have anyone bussing tables. I had to sit down at a dirty table. They had someone bringing out orders but not someone cleaning, so maybe they were short-staffed that day. All in all, food was good, drink and service -- not so much. read more
Came here this past weekend after the Santa Anita 5k . My husband wanted a fast and quick breakfast place and I wanted to good coffee place. So this is the place for both. They have a variety of breakfast choices and they also have some delicious coffee. I ordered the veggie breakfast burrito and a honey latte and my husband ordered the turkey brekie sandwich and a flat white and my son ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with some kind of meat. I liked my veggie burrito just wish it had a bit more hash browns. My husband enjoyed his sandwich. I think the real star of this place for me is their coffee. I was done with mine and was still trying to clean the inside of my cup.It was that good. To bad it's to far for me to go more often. The place is pretty big and has a lot of tables to sit and enjoy your coffee or your meals. Overall this place is pretty good. read more
Came here to read and study. It's definitely really busy here and I got lucky with finding a seat. I recommend bringing noise cancelling headphones as it can get really loud! I got their honey latte as a treat for myself. The honey flavor was there but it wasn't too sweet. read more

Visited this location at 9 AM today, on a Saturday, to catch up with a friend. This is the perfect time to get coffee because the line usually consists of just a few people, typically three or more. There is plenty of open seating, and the overall aesthetic is very nice and clean. Although coffee is expensive these days, I feel like this place is worth it. The staff taking my order were friendly! I saw other reviews on here mentioning different experiences. I feel like, in all things in life, every person and every experience is different. I feel lucky to have had a good experience. I also love the latte art made by the barista (see picture!). Regarding the bathroom, there is one stall for men and women, and it is clean as well. You can park across the street in the parking structure, which is affordable. It was $1 for the first hour and $2 for each additional hour. I would definitely come here more often if I lived in the area, but for now, it's the perfect place to catch up with a friend or even go out on a date! Check it out for yourself. :) read more

LOVE THE FOOD. skip the drinks. I ordered the Iced chai, and as you can see in the picture, 3/4th of the cup was ICE. I like ice, but my drink was gone in like 5 sips. I paid like 7 dollars for my ice chai (i added syrup), which I felt was outrageous, especially since they simply use a chai concentrate from Rishi straight from the box. So I guess just save yourself some money and buy the box of RIshi chai concentrate for 7$ instead of the measly drink. Additionally, When I came in august they had pumpkin spice drinks, but now in November they do not. The food here is the real star of the show. It is consistently good. Ive had both the chipotle and korean rice bowl, and was very impressed. It is much higher caliber than youd expect any coffee shop to have! So delicious and filling. They do have a nice ambiance. This is the perfect place to come if you want to work on your laptop. They have plenty of tables. The times that ive come here the service has been just okay. The first time, the man service was very unhelpful when you tried to ask questions. The most recent time, the girl taking my order was very nice, but she spoke SO quietly i could hardly hear, Ultimately, come here if youre looking for a filling lunch and a nice place to work on your laptop. This is a really nice and spacious coffee shop. There were plenty of seats for the customers which is always nice. They also have free wifi so you can work or do homework. The baristas were friendly and my drink came out quick. I ordered an iced vanilla latte. It was good, I wasn't the biggest fan of the vanilla flavor but it wasn't bad either. read more

I wanted to love this place. My boyfriend and I were checking out the film spots of the Apple TV show, Shrinking, and Copa Vida was down the street from Central Park (another film spot). Ordered an iced golden chai and it had a very strong turmeric taste (love it!) but it tasted like I was drinking turmeric milk. I also ordered a brownie (another reference to Shrinking), however, the brownie was stuck to the parchment making the eating part of this visit not so pleasing. The exterior tasted over baked. Staff were very friendly as it was a very busy Saturday afternoon. read more
