The food is expensive and really inconsistent. It's take out only and I think theyre constantly changing staff because even the type of breading and seasoning changes so much order to order. Sometimes big portions cooked well. Other times dry old tasting food, tiny portions, and messed up orders. Soggy, scammy (a side order reduces your main order -- eg order a side of chicken, you'll get less cauliflower -- so don't waste your money), and those sweet potato noodles have zero taste. This chain has a cool menu, but they could fine-tune a few things to improve their food. I ordered the sesame tofu bowl. Here's what I'd change: 1) The tofu arrived barely baked, lukewarm and unseasoned. Put a little spice on it and leave it in the oven a lot longer. 2) The dressing was SUPER watery, just ran right over the lettuce and pooled at the bottom of the dish, and it came in a teeny container. 3) The side of sweet potatoes was cold, like it had been sitting out all afternoon. And 4) the avocado was gray by the time it got here. If you squeeze a little lime juice over them, they stay fresher longer. I like the idea behind this. But I think they could also stand to make some changes here and there. read more

I went to the Barrio in San Diego location. FIRST the name made me curious. SECOND the menu was quite impressive so I thought let's try. I can tell you that it's the best gluten free items from a restaurant in 10 years. I ended up with celiac disease after my chemo therapy. This place is really good!!! I love that it's all gluten free. It was a bit worrisome that a lot of reviews weren't sure if it was closed or not but I went ahead and ordered online and the notification said it was ready. I picked it up at an alleyway to a building that appears to house many different food brands. A lot of people were coming by to pick up food of all different kinds. The important thing is I got to pick up real food and it was real good! It's take out definitely since there doesn't seem to be any place to eat it or even have real human interaction, you just pick up your bag. Really like the cauliflower dishes. Yum! read more

This place is delicious! I ordered six of the veggie dishes and it was all amazing. I love that they offer different bases (kale, white/brown/bamboo rice) bamboo and kale were my favorite, but even the brown was very good! Their sauces are vegan friendly and so tasty! A family favorite was the vegan cream sauce cauliflower and impossible beef with kale and avocado. We will be coming back! read more

The most amazing gluten free orange chicken I have ever had! I honestly order it every time it's payday and get it delivered to my job. The biggest highlight of my day! I randomly came across their page when scrolling through gluten free options in Long Beach on the Postmates app. Everything on the menu is gluten free. EVERYTHING!
