Treated myself the other morning to one of my favorite gluten free meals. Really good attentive service, and it was the perfect quiet atmosphere to enjoy my meal and book at the same time. I don't eat out at restaurants much lately but I really enjoyed my experience!

The food here was really delicious. It honestly felt like the kind of breakfast you'd get on a Sunday morning at your abuela's house. The huevos con chorizo were so good, and their hot sauce was it went perfectly with it. The person working there was also really nice, and the whole place had a calm, relaxed vibe. Definitely a spot I'd come back to if I'm in Long Beach again

I won't lie like I lied to my ex wife . Portions are great the rice for sure had great flavors and to tofu chicken I wanted more. But the mole burrito itself wasn't my cup of tea but it was sweet or maybe I'm not a mole person like my ungrateful ex wife but overall I would definitely go back if I'm Cali again .

A very cute little plant based restaurant with a big menu. Always love supporting vegan local businesses! At first it seems like a Mexican spot based on the decor but the menu has a bit of everything. Loved how breakfast is available all day. I ended up getting the grilled veggie wrap and was surprised when I bit into it that it was an Asian wrap. There is no mention of that on the menu description, in fact it says "pesto." Not that that's bad it's just not what I was expecting or craving so it made the whole meal a little off. My bf got the wrap as well and only took a few bites. My aunt & sister got Mexican dishes and got some shakes and everything looked really good! Service was great! Indoor (minimal) and outdoor seating available. Parking is street parking - but was easy to find.

My career is a mobile phlebotomist and I'm always on the go. I found this spot very interesting. I read that we're having a smoothies and juices and my curiosity just took me in there and I got to try one of the most popular smoothies that girl tell me the berry berry what's one of the customers favorite. I was looking for something green honestly, but since I hear that I was like OK, let's give it a shot. My concern was a little bit about the sweetness. But then when they give it to me, I tried out and it was delicious. It hit the spot that really worked out or replacing me a meal for another hour. This was looking pretty busy. They were at least six tables busy so that means the food is good. I can't wait to come back to try their food and the pastries the cakes oh my gosh, they were looking delicious and some people were eating out as well. I was in a rush, so maybe next time with the more time I can check more of the menu out.. for right now now I have another spot to order my smoothie. I can't wait to try more of the menu. For parking situation of the parking, my goodness is a little hard, but not impossible. You must have to park a little far away, but you can find parking around. Good luck if you were trying to see like a breakfast lunch a spot definitely give this one a chance to impress you like it did to me.

I always love an experience at one of The Grain Cafe locations, but this was my first time at the location in Long Beach. The unique thing about this location is they have an added Oaxacan menu full of even more delicious options that do not disappoint! The service was super friendly and our waitress gave great recommendations, the ambiance is very casual and chill, but it can get a little stuffy inside when it's hot. Here are some of the highlights: 4/5 - Dargon Roll: "Tuna", cucumber, carrots, avocado, and a side of soy sauce. A great light and delicious appetizer. Pro tip: the "Tuna" like paste is a little salty, so don't overdo the soy sauce to avoid that extra salty flavor. 5/5 - Chilaqulies Verde: corn tortilla chips, onions, mushroom, zucchini and tofu egg, sautéed in a salsa verde, topped with homemade sour cream, cheese, and avocado. Very delicious, had a nice little kick of spice, but not too overpowering, I would highly recommend this dish! 5/5 - Coconut Blackberry Cake: a delicious blend of fresh coconut and blackberries, without too much of either flavor, perfectly balanced. 4.5/5 - Strawberry Almond Cake: very good, almost as good as the coconut blackberry cake, but a little dryer in taste. However, with the heavier frosting parts, just as delicious with the same texture! Food: 4.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3/5 Value: 4.5/5 Overall: 4.33/5

spent $60 on lunch and 2 desserts to take home and this is how much mold was on the inside of the cake we got. insane. i tried to resolve this privately by calling and asking for a managers email and they gave me an invalid email address.

Quite cute, rusty place. Stopped by for a cup of mocha and a cake. Parking can be tough since it's street parking only. Service is nice and friendly. The cake was great and tasty and moist and coffee is good. The decor, for me, dark and rustic feeling and they have a waterfall wall so it's relaxing. The place is right on the corner of 4th Street & Ximeno Ave so you got the corner view of both streets. They do have indoor and outdoor seating for all seasons. They do have other plain base foods but we're here in the morning so couldn't able to try the foods yet but my friends said that it was great with reasonable price too. Will definitely come back and try them out.

I had the build your own grain bowl with the veggie of the day, brown rice, black beans, chicken, and roasted garlic aioli. I didn't read the menu too closely and was pleasantly surprised to see it was a vegan chicken that they use. I've tried vegan chicken at other places and it wasn't as good as it was here. The server helped me by picking out the garlic aioli and I'm glad that I got that for my bowl. The inside is really nice and I would want to come back to dine in next time.

Delicious healthy food. Went for a friends birthday every dish was fresh and delicious. Bday girl ordered the tres leches it was so good we kept wondering how did they do that? The servers were kind & sweet. We stayed for for more then 2 hrs there. Ambience is vibrant & welcoming. We all cleaned our plates that's how happy we were with the food.

Rolls as an appetizer.

I'm not vegan but my adult son is so we do visit the Grain Cafe often however this was our first time at the Long Beach location. We often visit the Grain Cafe because this is the only restaurant my other non-vegan family will eat. Everyone always enjoys their meal no matter what they order. If you have a similar family or friend this is the place you want to take them to have a delicious vegan meal. I ordered the Mojotes which are masa dough filled with the perfect amount of potatoes and chorizo salsa, topped with black bean sauce, cabbage, avocado salsa and cheese bedded on romaine lettuce. It was very flavorful and so good that I dove in and forgot to take a picture of it. I would definitely order this again. The place also has homemade desserts which I bought my son a slice of pie to take home. The only negative comment I can make about this location is the tap water. Definitely did not taste filtered so I purchased flat water.

Soyrizo Torta is so delicious

The Grain Cafe is so slept on , this place is my go to for the most delicious vegan food that you will ever taste. The service is excellent every time I step through the door I feel like I'm stepping into my home. The ambience is incredible there's a TV and soft music in the background. If you have time stop by the Grain Cafe you won't be disappointed!

From the moment the plate arrived, it felt less like a meal and more like a carefully composed work of art. Each roll was perfectly crisp on the outside, giving way to a soft, flavorful interior layered with fresh avocado, savory fillings, and that satisfying sushi rice texture we all crave. The sauces? Absolutely decadent. A rich, spicy drizzle balanced with a slightly sweet glaze, finished with sesame seeds and green onions it created a harmony of flavors that danced between bold and comforting. Every bite had depth, not just taste but intention. What truly elevates this experience is knowing it's all made by one person. You can feel the dedication in the details the precision of each slice, the balance of textures, the way everything comes together so effortlessly. It's not just food... it's craftsmanship. And let's not ignore the presentation the vibrant orchid, the glossy finish of the sauces, the golden crisp of the roll it's clear this is someone who cares deeply about what they create. Final Verdict: This isn't just vegan sushi it's proof that plant based food can be indulgent, creative, and soul satisfying. A hidden gem crafted with intention, skill, and heart. 1st timers today, and will def not be our last visit…read more Shout-out to the Yelp reviews lead us to this Amazing Smash burger joint. Our order: -Onion rings (the right batter to sliced onion ratio & delicious seasoning); -the french fries- crispy and the right amount of salt seasoning *dipped into their Jalapeno ranch, and you will be left smiling!* -the Works: What a burger! I love Portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and Persian cucumbers, so when I read that on the menu, I knew I had to order this, and I am not disappointed! This hit the spot. The smash patty topped with my favorites made for a perfect burger filling party. -the Don Chendo burger- the salsa Don Chendo on a jalapeño-Cheddar bun - culinary innovation at its finest! For non-spicy eaters like myself, you can eat this. This is definitely tolerable spice with a delicious flavor that overrules any "heat". The buttery, softness of the bun with the cheddar and jalapenos melted into it compliment the flavors of the patty, red onions and Chendo sauce. Having a burger is a rare craving for us, and thankfully our taste buds led us here this time that we did, because we were left, not only satisfied, but can safely say that this is one of the fewest Exceptional burgers we have tried thus far. Burgers are huge too! You def get more bang for your buck here. Staff was very welcoming, friendly and attentive toward us. We truly appreciated the warm greeting and them making sure we felt comfortable with their product deliveries coming in/out of the restaurant while we ate. Not too big & not too small of a place. Ample seating booths make for a comfy social occasion. We highly recommend to All! & will return again!

Sideburns is a true hidden gem in Long Beach; conveniently located right next to The Stache Bar…read more I originally came for the Vegan Breakfast Burrito; and it absolutely delivered. Refried beans; crispy tots; vegan cheese; avocado; mushrooms -- hearty; filling; and layered properly. But what really makes this burrito stand out are the house-made sauces. The salsa has the perfect heat; and their vegan dipping sauce elevates the entire experience. You can taste the intention. Now let's talk about the burger. The vegan burger is not an afterthought here. It's juicy; well-seasoned; and balanced. The texture is on point; the toppings are fresh; and it holds its structure without falling apart. You can tell they care about execution. Between the house-made sauces; the fusion flavor profile; and the consistency across both items; Sideburns earns its spot. If you're in Long Beach and want vegan comfort food done right; this is absolutely worth pulling up to.

If you're looking for a solid Thai spot in Long Beach, this has become one of our family's feel…read moregood go to places. Every dish we've tried has been full of flavor and genuinely worth ordering. Surprisingly, compared to other Thai spots, it's usually not overly packed and honestly I'm almost scared to say that because I don't want it to change. The service has always been great, the food comes out quickly, and the portions/prices feel reasonable. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

KIN Thai Cuisine in Long Beach off Broadway is a really solid spot…read more Parking is available, but it is limited, so just keep that in mind depending on the time you go. The restaurant itself is nice and clean, including the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The staff was very customer service oriented and did a great job making suggestions and giving tips about the menu and spice levels, which was super helpful. I started with the Money Bags, which are basically fried dumplings. Mine were a little overcooked, almost close to burnt. They still had decent flavor, but I'd personally rate them about a 2.9 out of 5. I also had the green papaya salad with mild spice, and the spice level was perfect, especially for people who are sensitive to heat. I usually stick around medium spice at Thai restaurants, but even the mild here still gives you a nice kick. For my drink, I got the Thai tea, which came topped with a Thai tea popsicle that slowly melted into the drink. Such a cute touch, creative, and tasty. For my entrée, I had the basil garlic sauce with sliced steak and a side of rice, which I really enjoyed. For dessert, we shared the mango sticky rice. It was good, but I do feel like it was a little overpriced for the portion size. Maybe part of that is because of the specialty rice they use that has the purple hue. I know a few places in Long Beach where you can get more for the same price. That said, the presentation was really cute with the flower garnish and everything looked beautiful. The atmosphere was nice. It has an open kitchen concept, so you can actually see the cooking happening, which adds to the experience. Seating is somewhat limited and the tables are fairly close together in certain sections, especially where the divider walls are, so you can definitely hear nearby conversations depending on where you sit. Great food, clean restaurant, and strong customer service. I'd definitely come back. Flavor Profile (for reference): Umami-forward (savory, salty depth) Acidic or bright (tangy + sour) Pungent and intense (spicy and bitter notes) Drink Preference (for reference): Bitter-forward cocktails Balanced acidity Light sweetness only, not overly sugary
