I was told by a friend that this place was a pretty good Mexican restaurant. We came here, as we were waiting to order we noticed some music coming from the back room. What a surprise it was a bar adjacent to the restaurant divided by a door entry. Will come back some other day to check it out. We placed our food order and decided to dine in. I ordered their Shrimp tacos, and my friend ordered the Carne Asada tacos. A little disappointed that they did not serve the Mexican drinks. All the workers here were extremely nice, and helpful. The short-order cook is a nice Cuban man our waiter was great. Nice place to eat and enjoy a few Tacos or burritos. Will be back for sure. Thank you.

For Taco Tuesdays, they can't be beat. They have several tacos both meat, fish, and veggie. Don't eat meat, but the fish and veggie are wonderful. The rice and beans are delicious. And it's got a great vibe. Maybe I'll see you there some Tuesday?

Small and charming store on Broadway. Snag yourself a tasty breakfast burrito . The staff is helpful and will explain ingredients and provide recommendations. Highly recommend the breakfast burritos as they are a steal deal!

This is a cute little place that has been around for 32 years! We never knew about it until today! We were so warmly welcomed by the staff, so friendly and so nice! The server got us chips and salsa before even we placed an order. The salsa was so fresh and delicious. When we asked about their vegan options, they said they could customize most of their menu and a lot of things like the rice, beans were already vegan. We ordered a veggie burrito and tofu burrito without the cheese. The burritos were delicious. The veggie burrito reminded me of the authentic food that I had in a small village in Mexico! We loved everything about it, until my last bite gave me a taste of animal fat, which means the food could have been cross-contaminated, so yes beware Vegans and vegetarians.

Great prices for the amount of food you get. Tacos are tasty and filled to the fullest, I love the fact that they give you nachos as soon as you enter, great service and friendly staff. Small but great! Ambiance is also nice. 8.5/10 will come back !

This was my college yrs place to go for cheap taco meals and cheap drink. It is a small joint (hole in the wall type) that connected to the Reno Room (bar). There are only 2-3 table and window seats but the vibe is cozy, friendly and just fell unwind right away. Foods are great for the prices (it gone up of course but still affordable). Good service since you order directly at the cooking area so it's fun. Glad that I stopped by for good old tacos meals. Parking can a challenge but street parking spots are all around.

Been trying to find a good breakfast burrito and this spot set the bar well. Little did I know that after walking in, I was more than surprised and happy to see this spot connected to The Reno Room. While waiting for my breakfast burritos, I walked around the bar to check things out. The breakfast burritos were good. I really enjoyed the carne asada with hash browns and eggs. I really like the red salsa that came with it, and the green sauce wasn't bad. My girlfriend had the chorizo breakfast burrito. And it tasted like her mother made it. She didn't really care for the green sauce, but she did love the red sauce as well. She feels that the tomatoes were not ripe enough to make the green sauce as perfect as it should be. Overall was a great experience, and I can't wait to go back when I actually drink at that bar.

A good local Mexican food spot. Has a bar next door for pool playing or sports watching. The margaritas are good blended here: Service is decently quick even when busy

Go here! Delicious authentic Mexican food and incredibly affordable! Service was also great. We were visiting Long Beach for a wedding and thankfully decided to stop here for lunch. The veggie tacos were vegan and delicious. The space is small but either eat in or out; the food is so good it doesn't matter :)

been eating here for years now and still love it. the food always comes out quick and the servers are always friendly and helpful. a great thing about it and the reason I first tried the food here is the beans are vegan so, it's a great place for anyone to try whether you're vegetarian or not.

Overall, it was solid--sauce had good flavor, cheese was decent, and the dough was nice. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely a respectable slice. My only issue was the balance--there was a bit too much cheese for the crust, so even folding it New York-style, it didn't hold up well and kind of fell apart. A little more crisp on the bottom would've made a big difference. I also tried their Sicilian grandma-style focaccia pizza, and honestly, that was a huge letdown. It had this dusty, raw flour taste right away, was dry and spongy, and way overpowered with Parmesan. It just didn't come together at all--pretty disappointing, especially for the price. I've had frozen pizza that tasted better. Ended up just picking at the cheese to salvage something. On the plus side, the service was friendly and the space itself is chill--nice casual vibe with a few tables inside and outside to hang out. All in all, the regular slice was decent, but the focaccia pizza really missed the mark for me. Probably not a spot I'd go back to.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

Plenty to do and see on 2nd street. We ordered the party platter for 4 people! It was the perfect amount of food with leftovers to take home. Everything was cooked to PERFECTION. Our beef was a textbook medium rare and was so juicy and tender, as was the rest of the meat. The chicken was so moist and flavorful, as was all the shawarma. All meats were seasoned beautifully. The rice underneath was stunning as well and really caught all the juices from the meat on top. The roasted tomatoes, onions, and pickles were the perfect compliments to help freshen up the palette during the meal. The sauces were amazing and there was a clear favorite (the garlic sauce) which was annihilated by all four of us. Service was friendly! It was very packed so it was slow at times but understandably so. They come by and give you orange blossom water for your hands post meal - what a treat! We smelled amazing! NO NOTES FOR OPEN SESAME! I have to come back with more friends! We did have an issue but it was with another patron who had the audacity to yell at my table (while I was in the restroom) for "having too much fun"?!?! This is a public restaurant and it was loud as hell in there because it's tight and everyone talks over each other, not to mention the open kitchen. The energy in the restaurant is exciting and frenetic. We will be back and we will have even MORE FUN, xoxo.
