Sunday night my wife & I were walking through downtown looking for a new place to try and we spotted AZN on the Prominade. From the outside signage it looked intriguing so.we ventured inside. Decided to use the kiosk tomorrow since we knew it'd take us awhile. We decided on the Shanghai Bowl with shrimp and the Beijing Bowl with spicy crispy chicken. To drink a Peach fruit tea and a Mango fruit tea. My wife had the Shanghai, her only complaint was they didnt tell her the avocados weren't ripe so she didnt get them atop her meal. Otherwise she really enjoyed the bowl. I had the Beijing and the chicken was tender, had the perfect crispness and the flavor was amazing. Both the teas were refreshing and really hit the spot. They offer a wide selection of bowls, fresh juices, teas. When we did have a question the staff was very helpful and willing to answer all our questions. Good quality healthy bowls for a great price! We tried the classic Seoul bowl (bulgogi) and the Taiwan bowl (shredded pork) and both were delicious. We did have to pay $1 extra for one of the sauces but also tried the free sauce which I actually preferred. Also tried their lychee fruit drink and it was so refreshing. My only complaint would be that it was really cold in there so it was a little bit uncomfortable to eat especially when it was already chilly outside. Newly opened healthy, cheap, and Asian-inspired casual eats spot! I visited this spot looking for a healthy and refreshing treat after a greasy meal and the smoothie from here hit the spot! I got the strawberry banana smoothie and it was great! The smoothie texture was smooth and not icy. I liked the fresh and tasty strawberry and banana flavors and it wasn't tart at all. I got 100% sugar and it was sweet, so I'd maybe get a lower sugar frequency if I were to have this again. I also liked the strawberry jam smeared on the sides of the cup. The smoothie was also pretty large, so a good deal for around $6-$7 . This spot also offers a lot of other options other than smoothies. My friend got one of their juices and she said it was good and healthy tasting. It was also a good large sized portion. They have a build your own bowl station with Asian-inspired ingredients. Everything was at a good value, so I would definitely visit again to try their bowls. The interior was nice and had a kiosk that you could order from. They have private bathrooms as well. For parking, there's a parking lot next to the restaurant that you can park at for 2 hours for free. You select a base bowl or choose your own, add toppings of your choice, and you're good to go. Location needs improvement with doors being open and allowing flies in. Onions and cucumbers need to be more finely cut, it seems that they might be cut by hand, which seems like extra work in the game of prep. Last complaint is that bulgogi sauce being $1 is a bit tough, specially for the size. Staff is fast and ready to assist you with any questions. When we walked in, there were two people working behind the glass. We weren't greeted, but we figured we would just wait patiently. A few moments later, we still weren't acknowledged and they continued to work away and chat. So we started to walk around a bit, and that's when we noticed an ordering kiosk. I'm totally fine with a kiosk order situation, it was just behind us as we entered and we didn't know it was there. It would have been great if there was at least some signage for first timers because 1. we had no clue and 2. the staff seemed too busy to greet or help us. Idk, working on to go orders maybe? As we completed our order on the kiosk, a kind lady (maybe an owner or manager) came and asked if we had questions or needed help. At that point we didn't, but it was very kind of her to ask. Again, we had no clue how the set up was. Interestingly enough, a couple folks came in after us and were helped by staff at the counter. I'm still not sure if the kiosk is standard or optional. Our order was brought to our table fairly quickly, but while we waited we enjoyed the space. Several TVs, exposed brick wall, plants separating some of seating. The bathroom was pretty clean as well and requires a key code for entry. As for our order, I wanted to try a bit of everything as usual lol. However we settled on the following: -The New Beijing bowl with brown rice and extra kimchi -The Seoul Bowl with white rice and edamame -chicken egg rolls -Fresh watermelon juice -Mango fruit tea with Boba Overall, we were very satisfied with the quality of food and portions. My brother got his tea at 50% sweetness and found it perfect. My watermelon juice tasted fresh also. We both were hesitant to get the egg rolls because sometimes egg rolls can be too greasy. These weren't. We were super hungry so we opted for rice, but I love how you can also get salad instead. I'll definitely be back for lunch. Strong flavors and decent prices! The bowls taste authentic and only thing I wish was that they didn't charge extra for the 2 best sauces lol. And they could also beef up the bowls a bit more in terms of both rice and veggies and meat/toppings. We got the Seoul Bowl and the Bangkok Bowl, and they were both delicious. Looked up this place and decided to order ubereats. I got the Beijing Spicy crispy chicken bowl and a Thai smoothie, My ONLY "complaint" is that my chicken was not at all crispy, it was soft. The drive from AZN to my home is about 8minutes so I'm not sure if it would have lost all of its crispiness during that car ride which makes me think this was just how it was cooked. So although I was expecting crispy chicken, The food was still amazing!! My mom and I quickly were impressed and have now made AZN our go to spot for bowls. The portions are great, I couldn't finish the whole bowl. And I love how you can choose the sugar level for your drinks.
