    Steak Breakfast Burrito

Of course we found this place thru Yelp! Service was fast on a Friday morning. Not too busy. Ambience was nice. Felt like you're outdoors with nature with the interior decor. Highlight for me was the steak burrito. What a great, healthy version of a burrito. Will come back to try other items off the menu!

Here's to a well-deserved updated review to end the year. Since posting my first review for them, RightMealz has become family. Chris Sweeney has become a beacon for the local community (Long Beach and Los Angeles). He speaks up for many who have been through it within the past year, and never makes you feel like you're forgotten. Admittedly, sometimes I've avoided stopping in due to funds being tight and he's let myself and the community know he's here for us. I've volunteered with RightMealz during the fires that devastated the greater LA area. He was the one who put our city on the map first with multiple drives for necessities, and delivered with a uhaul regularly. Usually, I fiend for the avocado toast with a slightly runny egg because chef knows how to make it just right. I pair it with a lavender latte, or an iced Chai latte. Other times I'm checking the fridge for chef's turkey mushroom meatballs with cashew cheese. I do not like turkey or mushrooms... But that meal is cleverly made to make me eat both and want more. My SO loves the breakfast bowls in house. I'm a sucker for the open-air space. I take people to RightMealz for the food, ambiance, and for the hospitality. I shazaam Chris' songs playing from his random playlists. I'm forever a fan.

The best things about LA are the beaches, long walks and the breakfast scenes!! RightMealz manages to transport your breakfast scenes to out of this world experiences!! We walked and took a Lime to reach here and the experience reaching here to having breakfast here was truly mindblowing! You can feel the passion and dedication in the creating each of the dishes and the amount of freshness is amazing! Service was top notch and customer friendly. Place is cozy, clean and cute!

Decided to try something new and healthy for lunch and RightMealz delivered! I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with veggies today, and the chicken was very flavorful and juicy. Veggies were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Service was on point, as the cashier and owner were incredibly nice. They recommended I try the chicken bowl based off what I was in the mood for. The restaurant's decor is very trendy yet cozy. I could see myself grabbing a smoothie and just kicking it on the couch haha. I feel really good after this meal, so I'll be coming back soon to try one of the sandwiches and the smoothie!

Food: 8/10 Coffee: 6/10 Service: 7/10 Ambiance: 10/10 I came to this spot because of the positive publicity they received for their wildfire relief efforts. They didn't disappoint, but...I have notes. This spot has gorgeous ambiance and delicious, protein-rich food, which you can get freshly made or in a to-go bowl. I'm a huge fan of the teriyaki bowl in particular. Major yum! The coffee + beverage situation is a little different. I ordered a basic chai latte that was somehow $10 for 16 oz???? And they didn't even use freshly made chai. You can tell there was a bland pre-made mix. Very disappointing for that price...

So glad I stumbled upon this gem of a cafe. I have recently gone gluten free and dairy free and this cafe was perfect! So many healthy options that are GF and dairy free friendly so I didn't feel like I was making a compromise by eating here! I ordered their seasonal Fall Turmeric Latte which is made with their in house vanilla syrup that is naturally sugar free (loved that)! I ordered their breakfast bowl and it was delicious, all the flavors went well together. Only critique is that the sweet potato's were a tad undercooked. Other than that everything was great. The atmosphere is upscale causal and openair. They had it decorated beautifully for the holiday season. This cafe will be in my regular rotation of spots!

This is a really cool breakfast/lunch place. We got the breakfast burrito, and Matcha Delight and Garden Detox smoothies. The salsa verde with the breakfast burrito was really good. And we loved the smoothies! A huge plus was the friendly service. Will be back the next time we're in Long Beach.

    Fall Harvest Latte

Came in and the first thing that caught my eye was HUGE croissants. That's what I thought we were going to get until we saw the breakfast options. There are a few option we were deciding on. We settled on the breakfast bowl. It was so good and seasoned perfectly. Fresh ingredients for sure and eggs cooked just how I like them. Going to come back another day on our trip to try something else. Also the barista made me a beautiful Fall Harvest Latte which was delicious!

We love coming here for breakfast -- it's a bit of a drive, but so worth it! The food is out of this world: fresh, organic, and so thoughtfully crafted and the customer service is top-notch. Every time we've visited, the owner, Chris, has been there to welcome everyone. I'm convinced it says a lot about a business when the owner is not only present but also hands-on with orders and making killer drinks. It's literally art when Chris makes lattes! I've never had a more delicious cup of coffee -- it almost feels like dessert for breakfast. (The Harvest Latte definitely deserves a permanent spot on the menu!) Service is always quick, whether it's from the kitchen or at the drink counter. It's also really fun to watch the way they crank out orders so quick and efficiently it's seriously impressive. Another thing we love about this place is how it goes beyond just great food -- it's also a way to pour into others. They offer meal prep services, which we've started gifting to our clients, and it's been such a hit! For our most recent order, one of our friends was recovering from a hospital stay, so we gifted her some of their fresh cold-pressed juices and overnight oats as part of a meal train. Everything was packed with clean, healing ingredients -- truly food as medicine.

Feeling particularly hungry and scrolling through my DoorDash app in search of something that would…read moretantalize my taste buds beyond the usual options of gluten-free pizza or burgers, I stumbled upon a restaurant with a bold and captivating name: "F$CK GLUTEN." The audacity of the name piqued my curiosity immediately, and I felt compelled to explore their menu in greater detail. As I delved into their offerings, I was pleasantly surprised to discover a diverse array of gluten-free salads, bowls, and desserts that were sure to make my mouth water. Among the options, I found myself particularly drawn to the gluten-free fried chicken bowl, a dish that promised a delightful experience. This bowl featured crispy ginger garlic fried chicken, which was not only gluten-free but also seemed to boast a unique blend of flavors. It came with your choice of base, allowing for a personalized touch, along with three sides that were thoughtfully curated to enhance the overall meal. The dish was finished off with a sprinkle of green onions, a dusting of sesame seeds, and a refreshing lemon wedge, all served alongside a gluten-free sauce of your choice. The base options were impressive, offering a selection that included jasmine rice, brown rice, cauliflower rice, or sweet potato noodles. Each base provided a different texture and flavor profile, allowing for a customized dining experience. The three sides you could choose from were equally enticing, featuring a range of delicious options such as sesame kale slaw, roasted sweet potatoes, corn salad, roasted broccoli, roasted mushrooms, chili-dusted pineapple, cucumber salad, pickled onions, avocado, jammy egg, and kimchi. Additionally, the restaurant offered the flexibility to add extra proteins, ranging from more fried chicken to sesame tofu, for a nominal fee of about $5 to $8, depending on your selection. You could also opt for additional sides and sauces for a minimal charge, making it easy to tailor your meal to your liking. If sesame seeds or green onions weren't your thing, the option to have them omitted was a thoughtful touch that showcased the restaurant's attention to customer preferences. To round off your meal, the restaurant provided a choice of a gluten-free dark chocolate brownie or a rice crispy treat, both of which came pre-packaged from an external vendor, ensuring a sweet conclusion to your dining experience. After careful consideration, I ultimately decided on the cucumber salad, jasmine rice, roasted broccoli, and pickled onions to complement my fried chicken bowl. The combination of flavors and textures was something I was looking forward to enjoying. The restaurant prepared my order with impressive speed, and as soon as the DoorDash delivery arrived, I could hardly contain my excitement. I eagerly dug into my bowl, and I must say, the chicken was nothing short of delicious. It was packed with flavor and had a delightful crunch, although I did find it to have a bit of a spicy kick that added an extra layer of depth to the dish. The sides were equally impressive; even the usually bland broccoli that tends to be an afterthought in many meals was transformed into a flavor-packed delight that I genuinely enjoyed. So impressed was I with the offerings from this restaurant that just a few days later, I decided to try their gluten-free steak bowl, opting for the same sides that had complemented my previous meal so well. While the steak was undoubtedly tender and bursting with flavor, I found myself a little disappointed by the serving size, especially when considering the price point. It left me wanting more, and I ultimately decided that my future orders would likely lean towards the fried chicken, which had truly won me over with its robust taste and satisfying portion. I have found a new favorite restaurant that caters specifically to those of us who need to follow a medically necessary gluten-free diet, offering tasty dishes at affordable prices. It's a refreshing change after years of settling for bland and unappealing food. I strongly suggest you try them out and say F$ck Gluten!

Although I get annoyed at ordering at the front, I will say they try and speed the process up as much as possible. I've tried quite a few dishes on the menu and still have a few left to experience, but my go to is always something with bacon. The potatoes are cooked perfectly, along with the eggs, and steak (I believe they are cooking sous vide so they turns out perfectly every time) They have outside patio section that is shaded, along with little fans to help in case flies get in the way. I stopped in for a coffee and a side of bacon, and my total was almost $20. For such a simple order, that's hard to justify. I understand food costs have increased, but the pricing feels excessive compared to other local restaurants that serve quality food at much more reasonable prices. My biggest concern, however, is the impact the business has had on our neighborhood. Since Zuzu's Petals opened, we've noticed a significant increase in litter, much of it appearing to be food and drink packaging from the restaurant. Weekend traffic on the sidewalks has become overwhelming, customers often park in alleyways or in unsafe locations, and it has made our neighborhood much more difficult to navigate. We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.

We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. I'm hoping this was an off night for them because man, what a let down. This was my friend and my first time here and it was all over pretty rocky. To start, zero ac inside, we asked to move outside and they very quickly accommodated us which was great. We came for the LB week 3 course after seeing the menu online. I was looking forward to the Tuna entree but they had changed the fish, that's ok changes happen but my second choice was the steak... this was unfortunate because online it just listed it as an individual entree upcharge where at the location it was actually required to share and a double upcharge. So I ordered what was never a preference and got the replacement fish. On top of that there were some misleading wording about the pastas but that's ok, wasn't even the worst part. We ordered, along with some oysters and were excited to get started. Things started great with the table apps and wine but it was about 15 minutes after we finished those we thought we should check on those oysters, glad I did because they clearly weren't going to come out. Besides a few missing condiments to go with the oysters, the food was great up to this point. But, it was now over 40 minutes since our apps and the 2nd course (pasta) was no where to be found, better ask again. Another flag down. Both pastas came out about 5 minutes later having clearly just been cooked and both were underwhelming. There was mention of Italian sausage as a listed ingredient but as a Sicilian I can tell you, please don't bother listing this ingredient, it was microscopic at best. Another suprise came when the check hit the table and we had to inform the server we hadn't even received our entrees. It made sense though because even though we ordered around 720, it was now almost 9pm and they were closing. By the time the entrees came out (3 minutes before 9) the pace had been so slow we were just so annoyed we wanted to go home. We actually had to cancel the plans we had after dinner because it was getting too late. Honestly, the worst part was that there was no way they didn't know how long service was taking and there wasn't a single person that even said, "we're so sorry about the wait". We honestly understand things happen, but to completely pretend it's normal and not acknowledge that we had to keep asking about our food.... I mean, that just makes us feel like we chose the wrong spot because we clearly weren't that important.
