When I found out that this was the second location for Aroma, I had to try it too! Plus I work across the street so now I'm super stoked! My usual is a large Americano with whole milk and whip and a dash of that cocoa powder at the counter, and it never fails. Service is impeccable and friend! Food is good too! Had a work meeting at LB Hilton. Didn't want to eat at the hotel as the prices were very high. This place is a short walk down Ocean Blvd. It seemed like a "Cheers" of lunch places where the staff greeted their regulars with their names. The prices are very reasonable. It was clean and inviting. It's a small place at the bottom of a high rise building. They serve breakfast all day so I got an omelet & it was good. I substituted red onions with arugula without any issue or extra charge. The bread that came with the omelet was nicely toasted. My coworker got a panini sandwich and she enjoyed it. Met a dear friend here for a cup of coffee and a catch up. Coffee was hot and served quickly. Great location near the World Trade Center and frankly a welcome sight. This small cafe blew my mind! It's hidden on the side of an apartment complex but has plenty of seating inside and outside. I sat inside for a work meeting and had no trouble with the wifi. Just ask the cashier for the password. I got the Uova Benedetto ($9.50) which reminded me of a benedict; it came with two pieces of bread, two poached eggs, ham, and drizzled with pesto sauce! I would drive the 40 mins to eat this dish again. I got a hot latte, and it was decent. Parking in this area can be tricky. I accidentally turned down the wrong street and got on a highway to loop back around!! That sucked! I ended up parking on the street and paid the meter. read more

This place is amazing! I just discovered that this is the closest little coffee shop and lunch spot next to me and it's honestly such a gem. It's inside an apartment complex, so it's a little tough to find, but once you're in here -- the space is large with indoor and outdoor seating. The prices are super reasonable - you can get a grilled cheese and tomato soup for like $7, which is amazing! I ended up getting the uovo bendetto which were two pieces of toast, two poached eggs and prosciutto with some delicious pesto sauce. This thing was off the charts! I also got a cortado. We were recommended this place to get a good bagel. And it was such a disappointment that I had to let folks know the truth. I'm was an east coaster for a decade of my adult life and since I moved to Cali in 2018 I've really struggled to find any proper bagels (moongoat is the only spot I've loved) This place totally destroyed any hope for the proper bagel texture by smooshing it on a grill and literally burning the edges of my bagel. Y'all don't like toasters? Lol This cooking process pushes all the air out of the bagel making it dense and somehow chalky and because my bagel was actually burnt it tasted burnt. Since it's not on any of the reviews, it needs to be noted that their gift card system is very outdated. If you choose to get a gift card it's location specific. This makes it very inconvenient to use, so consider not getting them. Especially since this location is closed on the weekends, if you get a card from here you can't use it at Belmont Shore on a weekend. read more

Disappointing when you need utensils to eat the salad and the proprietor decides not to send them. Luckily, the add on salad was only $3.50. Food: I got their mocha and ham breakfast burrito. Both were simple, maybe a bit overpriced, but delicious nonetheless. I appreciate the lighter chocolate flavor in my mocha. Aesthetic: It has a very clean, modern aesthetic. It's on the first floor of an office building in downtown Long Beach, so definitely caters to that kind of clientele. Great little cafe in Long Beach in the first floor of a. Office building. I had their Breakfast Panini with egg, cheese and bacon which was excellent. The bread tasted fresh and was pressed but not crushed or over cooked. The cheese had a great melt which added to the flavor of the sandwich. I also tried a latte and iced coffee. The latte was well prepared, hot, but not scalding so I was able to drink it immediately with my meal. The iced coffee was solid. They staff was very friendly and helpful. read more

I've had a Cubano panini here and it was really good--nice and fresh with quality ingredients. At around $10 it wasn't the most expensive sandwich I've ever had but the food here ain't cheap. I've also gotten lattes here on a couple of occasions and thought they were excellent (they have frequent customer cards here, which is always nice). I like the decor and atmosphere here: it's clean and modern--a pleasant place to hang out. They're only open 7a - 3p M-F so if you want to hit it up after work or whatever you're out of luck; it's strictly a work breakfast/lunch kind of place. read more

Not blended like the coffeeshop at the other corner. Began with an iced matcha. Loved it. Came back another day, later added vanilla for a sweeter treat. Kept coming back, then made it dairy-free with oat milk. Now it's my go-to on days I need it: iced oat vanilla matcha. Yes it adds up adding sweetener and the sub milk, $6.25... but support small businesses and I wouldn't keep coming back if it wasn't delicious. Food: have tried a few meals but the Caesar on spinach wrap is amaze. Sounds boring but they bring it out warmed up panini style (cut in half) and it's tasty, that was a win on my end. The restaurant is tight inside but there is an ample amount of outdoor seating space available. Shrimp salad ($8.95): I opted for the shrimp salad with mango salsa. I was quite surprised when my food was brought out. Most possibly the saddest shrimp salad I've ever seen. A dry bed of lettuce topped with two slices of tomatoes, one slice of lemon, mango, and probably frozen baby shrimps. I would not pay more than $5 for what I got. Not sure if i would consider this a 'daily special' like it was for this particular day. A few others ordered the smoked salmon salad ($10.95?) which looked a lot more appetizing. The treatment this morning has completely cemented the fact I will NEVER patronize this location again. I continued to go back because of the kind and professional service of the beautiful barista with the short hair cut her drinks amazing and she puts cute art in the foam. Problem is she's a student and works limited hours. The other ladies are rude nasty and not proficient on the offerings on the menu. Today was horrible! I returned my incorrectly made drink and when asked if I could get it on her next work day because I had to run to work she rolled her eyes as I left the cafe. I tried reaching the manager through the 2nd street location and was told the owner doesn't come in that often to yelp and he would respond. Sooooo... here goes it. One of my favorite places in DTLB. My favorite thing to get here is the uova benedetto. I've tried their salmon bagel and uova in purgatorio, which are good as well but cannot hold a candle to the pesto prosciutto poached egg perfection that is the uova benedetto. Fantastic breakfast option during the week. I also like their lattes and teas. Earl Grey Cream is yummy, especially with some stevia and cream. Lavender latte is yummy when they have it. They have a rewards program and an app, but it doesn't really work that well for me. I recommend screenshotting the card if you plan on coming here often. There is another Aroma di Roma further away in the Belmont Shore area, but the menu options and times they are open are not the same. read more

I work in the same building that this place is located so I decided to give it a try. I am soooo happy I did! I can come up from the parking structure get my coffee and be at work within 5-8 minutes! Can't beat that as going to Any Starbucks is at least a 15 minute wait. Anyway, I told the cashier that I wanted what ever was the equivalent to a soy vanilla latte with an add shot of espresso. She said they didn't had ran out of the soy milk so she suggested coconut milk. Omg! I loved it! Tasted great like real coffee not like the inconsistent crap they sell at Starbucks and even went the next day to get the same. I paid $4 and some change for a small, about the same price as any other coffee shop, can't beat the convenience though. The only thing I thought to myself is that they should have a bigger variety of food, maybe like soups for a quick lunch break, either way I will be definitely be coming back for my coffee fix read more

I don't know about parking but there's lots of construction going on right now where the new City Hall is and it's very limited for metered parking on the street, 9am to 9pm daily, INCLUDING weekends. ****Read the signs before you get a parking ticket cause them parking people will get you! It's best to walk or bike or use public transportation. Support local! Before I came here I used to go to Brew Haus behind the Camden apartments and I was sad when they closed. Anyways, I love their menu and have tried almost everything. Their paninis are amazing and you can even add a side salad for a few more dollars. The staff here are very friendly, greet you when you walk in and acknowledge you. Of course it helps if you smile right back cause then they make your drinks extra strong. I ordered the medium Caramel Machiavelli and it was definitely made with love. Honestly, the Latin coffee was the bomb. Great taste of cinnamon, not too sweet, and a hint of mocha. I also had the cinnamon pear pastry which was a step for me (usually not a person to order such), but I truly enjoyed it! I cannot comment on the parking situation, as I was walking from the downtown Long Beach metro stop. The coffee shop does have indoor and outdoor seating. It is attached to an office building. The service was wonderful! Great service (as I expected, bc Cali service is phenomenal.) I would recommend to grab a cup of coffee here! Came across this place while on a run to the Aquarium. They serve Vittoria coffee (decent Australian brand), and the espresso I had was decent and under $3, not bad. Had a $10 salmon bagel, though initially I thought was a bit steep in price, was rather large and filling; I'd suggest splitting it with someone if you're looking for a light snack. Wish I could pay $5 for half the amount.
