V Cafe is my favorite when I am visiting the salon two doors down. The owner is amazing and she makes everything from scratch. She also delivers to the other storefronts (her neighbors). I was first introduced to the café when I wanted a drink. The butterfly lemonade is the perfect thirst quencher. The lemonade is freshly squeezed from the lemon in the refrigerator case. You see her grab the lemon and hand juice it. The butterfly tea is then freshly brewed and added at the top giving you a drink with blue on top and lemon color on the bottom. The magic is when you mix it. Try it! When I had more time, I tried the beet salad. Its made to order. Fresh everything, crisp salad, candied walnuts, feta sprinkled on top, and the perfect raspberry vinaigrette to finish it off. It comes with toasted bread that gives you just enough carbs to round out the salad. The mushroom melt is packed with mushrooms and I always ask for havarti as its my favorite. She is flexible when she is able to (ingredient availability or pre-prepped). But it is no small sandwich. I usually get the soup and sandwich. I have tried the tomato, mushroom, and lentil soups. All very filling and compliments the sandwich. Mushroom soup is seasonal so when you see it, try it. It is amazing. The impossible Caesar salad is made so fresh as if it is straight from the farm. The café also serves coffee items. Be sure you head over early though. It closes right when late lunch turns to early dinner or if she is out of main ingredients. read more

This cafe looked very promising after looking at the pictures and that's where I went wrong. Don't get me wrong, it's cute inside but that's about it. I ordered the cortado which was a decent drink and I thought I was going to get it in a dine in cup like the pictures but no. So onto to the sandwich I ordered which was the Mushroom Melt and it did deliver with cheese but it looked like they threw in a couple or so of mushrooms and called it a day. The service felt like I was a bother to them or her I should say. It rattles me when the person taking your order is fidgety and looks like she had better things to do. First time here and very impressed. The portions were huge. The owner was very friendly and talked to us for a bit about the food selection options. My veggie delight sandwich was fresh- And I do mean fresh. It was delicious and I couldn't finish all of it. I also ordered a kombucha and a cookie with pecans. Boyfriend ordered the beet salad with pecans & feta cheese. It was a very large portion and came with a side of bread. He also ordered an iced tea. My wife ordered the Pesto Breakfast Sandwich, which is a favorite of hers. She likes her yokes hard but, otherwise, they're served more custardy. I ordered the Veggie Delight sandwich, which was assembled on two thick slices of lightly toasted bread. It includes creamy hummus made in-house, avocado, tomato, cheddar cheese, yellow bell pepper, red onion, and romaine. It was epic, and everything was bright, crisp and fresh. My sandwich also came with a simple green salad and a stunning balsamic vinaigrette. It wasn't too sharp, or sweet. We both got iced Americanos. I'm no coffee snob or expert, but the coffee I enjoy the most allows the natural sweetness of the beans to shine. It happens rarely, but here they've got it figured out. Prices are reasonable. The size of the Vietnamese coffee (which I love and picky about) was $5.80 for one size; you can get a larger and more flavorful Vietnamese coffee just two doors down for $6.80 with cheese foam at tea topia. We came in to get a cup of coffee and while we were there the owner told us that they make their soup and bread in house. She offered us a soup sample that she had made that day - Barley Vegetable - it was so good! That encouraged us to stay and ask other questions about the menu and before you knew it we made a lunch order to go! The food was so tasty and the bread you can't beat! We had a Mushroom Havarti sandwich and a Grilled Cheese and upgraded our sides to two different kinds of soup and it did not disappoint. The Americano I originally came in for was excellent too! New Vegetarian cafe in my neighborhood! I've been here a few times now for my morning brew, and the coffee doesn't disappoint. The açaí bowl is very filling, and the base itself is sweet. (compared to some places with bitter açaí.) The avocado toast is well portioned as the bread slice is quite thick and can be good for sharing. The shop overall is very clean and spacious, and offers outdoor seating as well. Vegetarian is their audience that they are catering to but they have a couple vegan options/substitutions. As noted by the employees, the avocado toast on brioche bread can be substituted for un-buttered sourdough, and the Hearty asian salad does not contain any animal products. As for the coffee they offer milk substitutions (almond, oat, soy) This small local business is having a soft opening till June and offer a 10% discount. Their hours are currently 8am-3pm daily, but in June they will be open for an additional couple hours. For a soft opening, I have been satisfied with my experiences and look forward to seeing the business grow. read more
