The tres leches was great (it's my husband's favorite cake and be said he'd choose this as a wedding cake if we bad to pick one again). The small bionicos was pretty large still and had mango, papaya, banana, strawberries, chocolate sprinkles, and granola. The fruit were fresh. The prices were fake. Biónicos is located in a small strip mall on the corner of Anaheim and Chestnut. They provide parking in their lot and have seating indoors, perfect for small groups. Drake Park is also within walking distance from the shop and has multiple picnic tables. I ordered a bionico with everything minus the papaya and raisins. The fruit was fresh and the crema was sweet and complimented the fruit perfectly. I wish they put a little more crema and might opt out of the chocolate sprinkles on my next visit but overall it was great and satisfied my craving for a sweet treat. If you don't know what bionico is, it's fruit yogurt salad consisting of cut up fruits, a sauce mix of yogurt, sweetened condensed milk and Mexican crema with available toppings of your choice; chocolate sprinkles, granola, coconut shaving and raisins. This location is nestled in a plaza in between a Subway and I believe a chinese fast food restaurant or clothing store. My favorite is the strawberry and banana with granola and coconut shavings. It's a perfect blend of sweet and tart once you bite into a strawberry. My daughter always gets the mango. Their mangoes are soft, so if you're looking for hard pieces like my husband, it's not here. Haven't been here in a while so I was a bit taken aback when they said my total was $25 for 2 bionicos! My daughter got the medium ($14) and I got a small ($9). It was always under $15 in the past so I didn't bother to look at the menu. Inflation man. Despite the price hike, we got what we wanted. Fresh fruit with that yummy sauce. First time to try this place today and I got a mangoñada, a mango raspado, and hot cheetos (pictured). The mangoñada was frozen in the cup so you had to wait until it melted a bit and scrape it, but it ended up being so delicious! The mango raspado was pretty good too, fruit was definitely fresh. I used to come to Bionicos here on Anaheim and Chestnut years ago when I had a hankering for Fresas con crema (strawberries and cream). I have gone back a few times recently and the quality isn't there, neither is the service. I'm not much of a fan anymore so I don't recommend this place unless someone asks where they can find vampiros in the area. The prices are a little high for what you're given. The quality is inconsistent. Although the fruit is cut up at time of purchase, it's not always fresh. This is not as noticeable when you purchase a juice. When I donate blood, I like to drink a fresh juice such as a vampiro which is beets and carrots and whatever else is added (varies depending on location). It's packed full of nutrients and gives you lots of energy for hours. These juices are priced fairly, I believe a large is about $6. If there's more than 2 or 3 people there will be a bit of a wait. Only one person is ever working and juices and the majority of the items that they sell, are time consuming. So if you're not much of a patient person don't wait around to order only to wait some more :) As for customer service, it's a hit or miss. Just be a good person and wish them a good day anyway. Parking is easy, this place is in a small strip mall next to GameStop, subway, and Metro PCS. You should find a spot easily. read more

If you have never had bionicos, which I hope is not the case because they are delicious, they are big containers filled with fresh chopped fruit that is covered in a creamy, yogurt style sauce and topped with granola, raisins, chocolate sprinkles and coconut shavings (some places use different toppings). My girlfriend and I wandered in here the other night looking for some dessert. My girl went with an order of Strawberries and Bananas topped with cream, chocolate sprinkles and granola and I ordered the traditional bionicos. We both ordered smalls but there was nothing small about these cups of fruit. My girls cup was packed full of fresh, perfectly ripe strawberries and bananas. My cup of bionicos was also filled to the brim, except mine contained strawberries, bananas, mango's, apples and pineapples. Every single bite of these treats was phenomenal. All the fruit was big, ripe and juicy. The cream was sweet but not too sweet and all the toppings were really good too. After watching them make a fruit smoothie I couldn't resist ordering one for myself. I decided to order a strawberry, banana and coconut smoothie. This place makes some of the best fruit smoothies I have ever tasted. I ordered a small smoothie but it still took two whole bananas, at least ten strawberries, and two handfuls of coconut shavings to make my drink. They took all that fruit and put into a huge juicer that spit it out in liquid form. The best thing about their smoothies is that they do not add any ice or juice to them. They are made from 100% all natural fruit. My smoothie was so refreshing. It tasted amazing. The fruit they use for their smoothies are refrigerated so your drink is served cold. The prices and service here were great. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier, the ladies who were working that night were super friendly. Each of our small fruit cups were five dollars a piece and my smoothie was $2.50. This place is open seven days a week till 8:30pm at night. I've always loved fresh strawberries dipped in sweetened condensed milk. So good that the thought of it makes me drool. So when I discovered bionicos, my first impression was that a bionico is just like my strawberries with condensed milk except there is an entire fruit salad and somehow they got the milk to be way more watery. I ordered a small bionico with everything for $5. The fruit mixture contained apples, mangoes, melon, papaya, and strawberries. It was topped off with the "sweet cream" (what I call "watery condensed milk"), shredded dried coconut, granola, raisins, and chocolate sprinkles. I guess this place is really popular with high school students. There was a big group of them when I arrived. They all got ice cream and one of them ordered this huge sundae. Okay... First off, their prices are pretty high! I've had much better for much less. One thing that always worries me about places like this is when they set up the operation so it is hard for you to see how they are preparing the food. This one is set up like this and my concerns about this were justified as I was leaving. Upon leaving I noticed that they had health code violations. Paperwork showed the violations had been corrected. In my opinion I think they don't quite care as much as they should here. Both dishes we got tasted like onions and fruit should not taste like onions. My suggestion is you guys use a dedicated cutting board for your onions and keep the fruit tasting like fruit. I've been to this place once before a very long time ago. And honestly I forget sometimes this place exists and it's no where near I live , just near my drs office. I decided to stop by today my very pregnant self was craving a bionico. It comes with strawberries, green apples, bananas ,cantaloupe,mango and papaya all mixed in cream topped with granola , coconut shavings , raisins and chocolate sprinkles. It's really good! My parents had a party a few months back and one of their guests brought a delicious looking fruit platter. i thought it was ambrosia salad, but it wasn't. it was called Bionicos. Now, I don't know about you but whenever i hear the term "bionic" I think of superheroes and kryptonite. This fruit salad was amazing. Apples, bananas, mango, pineapple, papaya topped with yogurt, nuts and coconut shavings. This lady introduced me to something that was on par with Yogurtland amazingness...but more fruit-forward. I was totally surprised to discover a place called BIONICOS close to my neighborhood and I had to try it. The little shop is located next to Game Stop and Subway on Anaheim. It's not the most fanciest of yogurt shops but it definitely offers up a variety of fruit juices, yogurt, fresh fruit and other types of cool treats to ease the heat! My first time there, I tried a shaved ice called "El Diablito" which is tamarind shaved ice topped with mango, jicama and cucumbers. The diablito part is when you add a mixture of this sweet/spicy liquid called "chamoy" and lemon and other sugar/chili powder stuff. Once you blend it all together, it looks like blood. My favorite is the bionico fruit/yogurt. It's so refreshing, sweet and nutty. I love the portions and the price is about right for what you get. They cut everything on site and it looks to be fresh and chilled. They also have bigger platters available for parties. This is probably not on the healthy side - but it's definitely much healthier than an ice cream sundae. I highly recommend Bionicos if you are itching for some fruta! read more
